5361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introduction of new BTC units to reflect present day prices to increase adoption on: January 20, 2020, 11:18:54 PM
Why to fix things which aren't broken? I think that adding new units isn't needed at all. It just would make things more complicated and add more confusion. I still can't remember how much mBTC or bits is worth and every time when I see these units used, I always have to use converter to convert it into BTC or Satoshi. More units would have same effect. Personally, for BTC and Satoshis is enough. I don't know what problem to use Satoshi for smaller values of BTC.
Take a look at fiat - it don't have 10-20 different units. Basically, it's just full units (dollars, euros, pounds) and smaller units - cents or pennies.

Interesting post and good point. I've never thought about it, but probably you're right. Avatars is really eye-catching thing. Usually I recognize users exactly from avatar. First I see avatar, only later I look at nickname. Post content and signature comes to my eyes only later.
I remember times when there was some Avatar campaigns here on Bitcointalk. It was separate from signature campaigns. But their payment rates wasn't high. Probably main reason of it that you can't put clickable link of advertised website on your avatar. Just found old thread with some avatar campaigns:

Guys, how is possible,, you didnt add VALENCIA-BARCELONA and u add worse matches as Alaves-Villareal or Espanyol-Bilbao for next week football betting??

This is a mistake, you know Valencia-Barcelona is 1000% more popular match than other in next week La Liga matches   Wink Wink
There is still plenty of time until next round, this round just ended few hours ago. So, I believe that they will add more games soon. No doubt that Barca and Real games attracts most attention in La Liga.
But now we can't expect that they will add all games from top leagues, because this proccess is manual and time consuming. But things are going to change, as @TheQuin posted few days ago.
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 19, 2020, 11:33:19 PM
Well, today we saw something similar to old good Barca. Over 80% ball posession, over 1000 passes made eith good accuracy. Though, final result doesn't looks amazing, considering that opponent parked a bus and played one man down for 20 minutes. I think it's mainly because of missing Suarez and it can be serious problem against stronger opponents. Good thing about this match - finally we didn't conceded goal, it's rare thing this season.
And goodbye to my over 3.5 goals bet on this game :/.
5365  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can You Estimate How Much In Total Yobit Has Paid Out In Campaign Fees ? on: January 19, 2020, 02:42:35 PM
If you really want to you can guess an estimate but it's insane work.
You can start from lists like the one published by suchmoon, calculate how many posts each user has made till now (not really a big deal for current as you get number of posts at the beginning of the campaign - current posts), try and do the same for the ones that were banned, this needs a bit more data mining and multiply by the pay rate (it stayed the same) and you have a pretty damn close estimate.
I know about this list, but I think it's not enough to get even estimate numbers. We don't know when exactly they started - there is no number of start post count when they joined campaign. And there is no information how many posts they made until they got banned or left campaign.
5366  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Spending-bitcoin.com - The biggest directory of online stores accepting Bitcoin! on: January 19, 2020, 12:01:38 AM
Wow, great website! You're right - there is some Bitcoin stores directories, but most of them is outdated or have small number of stores listed. Well, over 1000 stores sounds great.
I think it would be good to add option to leave reviews about stores. It's not necessary should be comments, maybe stars would be enough.
And just random thought about sorting of websites. Some websites are working just locally in particular country and aren't shipping internationally. So, maybe it would be good to add option to sort stores by country. I know that it would require lot of work, so I don't expect to be added.
5367  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can You Estimate How Much In Total Yobit Has Paid Out In Campaign Fees ? on: January 18, 2020, 11:49:17 PM
I think it's impossible to tell even estimate numbers. There just isn't enough public information. There isn't spreadsheet and we don't know how many participants they had and how many posts they have made in total. I think even yahoo don't know these numbers. I remember that in early weeks of campaign, he said how much Yobit paid, but I can't remember these numbers and can't find this post. But total money spend for campaign - it should be huge numbers.
I doubt that they are going to pause or end campsign soon. It's obvious that they have huge budget for it and probably it brings good results for them.
I don't know why they are targeting Bitcointalk forum for advertising. Msybe because of big traffic on this gorum and it's better than to advertise on random crypto websites. But I remember seeing their banners on Coinmarketcap.
5368  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Bitmex going to start extorting people for their IDs? on: January 18, 2020, 11:34:48 PM
Extorting is too strong word that you've used. I'm not using Bitmex, but I think that you shouldn't be surprised that they asked you to pass KYC. It's part of regulstions that they have to follow, and it's not different from other centralized exchanges.
But as others said, probably you're not telling us whole story. I doubt that they would ask KYC for inactive accounts. There should be some red flags which forced them to lock your account.
5369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows 7 stopped product supports. Please upgrade your Windows and wallets ASAP on: January 18, 2020, 11:13:19 PM
I still have one of my PC with Windows 7. I'm not going to update it, because it's running on old hardware with low specifications. I will rather get new PC, though I'm not looking for it urgently. Offcourse, staying on W7 for long isn't smart idea anymore.
For those who value privacy, Windows 10 isn't the best choice. It's one of reasons why I still haven't upgraded to this software. But I will have to it sooner or later. Because I doubt about switching to alternative OS like Linux or Ubuntu.
5370  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to change the obsolete social media from account info on: January 18, 2020, 10:54:29 PM
Yeah, these social networks is outdated, or doesn't works at all anymore. Personally, I haven't ever used most of them in my life Cheesy. I only remember having MSN account.
Probably it would be good thing to remove them, but I think it's not big issue. Probably in new forum software it will be removed, so I think it's worth all hassle to remove them now.
But personally, I don't think that these things is really needed. If new social networks would be added, I wouldn't upload links to it for privacy reasons. Maybe it's enough to have email, Telegram and Discord fields.
BTW, OP, one of your mentioned services - Skype is already available here for long time, maybe since launch of Bitcointalk.
5371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 18, 2020, 10:31:21 PM
Atletico Madrid suffered another loss - 2:0 against Eibar. Maybe it's not sensation considering this season Atletico results and Eibar is always tough opponent at home. They wasted good opportunity to get closer to the top and now they are 8 points behind Real.
Barca will play against Granada and it will be Setien debut. Maybe it's not strongest opponent, but I think it's good for the start.
5372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 18, 2020, 01:19:17 PM
I am quite sure Liverpool will drop some points soon. Reason being African cup of nations. Liverpool will have to play without Mane, Salah and Keita for more than 2 weeks and quite probably whole month. Have to check later if it is possible to bet already on those games.
African Cup of Nations was already held last summer, there will be no tournament during this season, so Liverpool won't lose their key players.
But I don't believe that they will end season without a loss. It might happen when CL games will begin and Liverpool may focus on it, saving main players on EPL matches.
5373  Local / Бизнес / Re: Hyжeн кpeдит 1,5 BTC нa 6 мecяцeв on: January 16, 2020, 08:57:31 PM

How about no. I'll just repeat phrase which was said thousands times in this section - no collateral - no loan.
I just can't understand, do you really expect that someone give 1.5 BTC to random unknown newbie? Yeah, right, I can give you 10 BTC if you really need it because I don't better ways how to waste my BTC.
5374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FA Cup and EFL Cup Prediction Thread on: January 16, 2020, 08:46:18 PM
Probably it's good idea to create separate topic for Cup games, because previously it was discussed in EPL threads. Early FA Cup rounds aren't very exciting because big teams usually face lower division clubs, or these small clubs playing against each other. And there wasn't huge sensations so far this year and all non-league clubs are eliminated already.
Maybe Pep Guardiola's target to win this championship is because it is not possible to pursue the EPL.
I doubt that they really cares about EFL club because it's least important trophy and EPL clubs aren't playing with their main squads. EPL trophy for City looks almost impossible, so now they have to focus on Champions league.
5375  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: January 16, 2020, 08:21:04 PM

We are indeed looking to add fixed-odds sports betting this year. It won't be a white-label, we'll integrate a 3rd party odds feed with our own front end.

Does it means that Freebitco.in will become like others sportsbooks with wide range of events, or there will be limited number of events like now, just with fixed odds? And are you planning to add live events?
5376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 15, 2020, 10:03:54 PM
According to the spanish media, Quique Setien is the next Cruyff + Guardiola and Barcelona FC will go back to the good ol days of tiki taka and win 6 titles a year, or maybe even more!! maybe they'll be so good that they'll win titles outside of spain  Shocked

i'm telling you man, Barcelona FC and its marketing team are some of the best in europe...not too long ago, Ansu Fati was supposed to be the next Messi/Maradona and the Ballon D Or winner for the next 5 years, now the new manager is 'The Chosen One' by the gods of football when literally a week ago no one on the planet gave a flying f#ck about Quique Setien.

But the marketing team need to do that because they need to hide the fact that a bunch of world-class managers said NO to the Barca job like Poch, Te Haag, Koeman, Roberto Martinez, etc...Even Xavi said no LOL embarrasing...But to answer your main question: No, the replacement isn't any better than Valverde.

It's nothing strange that news media is making such stories. They need to create such nice stories which would attract lot of clicks. Same about young players who had few great matches - they call them new Messi, Ronaldo and similar. They are just creating hype out of nowhere.
Most of managers who rejected this offer had strong and understandable reasons. So, Barca didn't had many options currently.
Setien was compared with Guardiola because his team style was a bit similar like in Pep era in Barcelona. It's difficult to say will he achieve something significant or fail completely. But I think you can't say that he isn't better than Valverde when didn't had single official game in Barcelona. Personally, I see him only as short term cosch until end of this season.
5377  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Doubt the possibility of a scam] BestChange Bounty and Signature Campaign. on: January 15, 2020, 09:17:42 PM
Reputation? Are you talking about a reputation they gained by paying pennies to their users by logging on their website and visiting faucets? I haven't seen a user commenting on their monitoring services but most of them were just 'too happy' that they got paid a few satoshis every 60 minutes to use their faucet on their website. Do you call it a 'reputation built'?
So, you want to say that most of reviews about them are just mainly from their affiliate program users? I doubt about it. They are in business for 13 years and if it would be shady service, internet would be fool of negative reviews about it and faucet wouldn't change anything in general. If you open other forums, review websites, you'll see mainly positive comments from people who actually using this service. But probably you chose to see what do you want to see...
5378  Other / Meta / Re: Why some high rank still use copper membership? on: January 15, 2020, 09:06:44 PM
I doubt that there is strong reasons why some high ranked members bought copper membership. Some of them just wanted to donate some money to forum in this way. Others wanted to have something like custom title under their name. Maybe it looks cool and not same as all regular forum members.
5379  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Doubt the possibility of a scam] BestChange Bounty and Signature Campaign. on: January 15, 2020, 08:52:38 PM
You might say they are well established, yea most likely, but out of forum. I didn't noticed them on forum before seen their forum ads, so for me they are not well established on the forum. I don't care if a company have multi million capital if they they are not well established on forum.
Does it really matters? Do they need high ranked account with positive trust to start campaign without escrow? I would understand if it would be new, not well known company. But c'mon, Bestchange is old established company with good reputation, I don't see any reasons why they would need to hire escrow when they can make payments themselves. And it's obviously not about escrow service fee which they would have to pay. Do you really think that they are going to damage their reputation to get some  free advertising? It just doesn't make sense. What if huge company like Binance would start their campaign without escow, would you complain about it too.
I understand that you want to protect people from possible scams, and I obviously support it when there is real risk. But sometimes some of you go too far like in this case.
5380  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoin-converter.com on: January 14, 2020, 09:26:36 PM
I think your domain is good - it's quite long, but easy to remember. .com domain is also good thing. I like your website because it's simple and clean. And I agree with users above - it would be great to make conversion automaticall without clicking the button. But if you're not planning to change this, I still suggest to make one change. Make this button more obvious - now I see button with greeen arrow. I think you should make this button with word "convert" inside it.
