5362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 27, 2013, 09:31:13 PM
I've placed one order today 128xx, i presume they are all sold out, if i am not wrong yesterday they started when the progressive number was 109xx or 1100x, and we have to consider also that one order could contain 10 pieces.

Not everyone who placed an order has paid yet, so they might not be sold out.
They are not going to find twelve hundred idiots in existing customers that quickly. Most miners with any experience realise that pre-ordering something for delivery in 7 months time in a market as volatile as bitcoin is stupidity too risky. And those of us stung by KNC's "Ship late, ship faulty" service won't be ordering again.

dear avenger,

you had ordered jupiters also, but got a refund, is that correct ?

why do you bother to post here the usual "knc is a scaaaaam" sheit, when there are plenty of people here in this forum that do not regret their engagement into knc since it worked for them. i mean, do you really think you stating something substantial with this "knc customers are stupid" sheit on page 1100 of this thread ? where does your hate come from ?

Hows about:

   Bitcoin         = Bits   = 1 unit
   cents   = cBits   = 0.01 units
millis or mills      = mBits   = 0.001 units
micros or mics      = μBits   = 0.000001 units
Satoshi or sats            = 0.00000001 units
   nanos or nans   = nBits   = 0.000000001 units (for when 1 Bitcoin = 1 Mega dollar or BTC1 = M$1 = $1,000,000)

This has flawless logic, but I still wonder about that coffee being 'two mills' and we probably need the 'bit' in there to keep it connected to Bitcoin.

So 'millibit', or back to 'embit' for me..

millibit is cool. in metric countries (almost all over the world  Wink) everyone knows that a millimeter is 1/1000 meter, a milliliter is 1/1000 liter.

but what about...
milli vanilli Huh! Shocked

Hallo zusammen,

Did someone try to create a dip by selling hard at Gox an hour ago? Welllll sure didn't work, we're back on the uphill slope! Private jet, here I come...

Some noobs panic sold and loaded and their kind bought a lot of cheap coins from their shaky hands.

In any case their mission is accomplished. You won't believe how many tards bought just above $1k to then panic sell at $950. People that is investing more than they can afford to lose; people that does not understand that given BTC 's potential holding is superior to day trading; wishful thinkers that believe that they will be able to do a1% daily profit by buying and selling Bitcoin every day. Summing up: the bulls make money, the bears make money, the exchanges make money... and pigs are slaughtered.

it ´s not only that. a lot of people heard about btc more often, didn´t move in, but considered it. now, a few days ago they finally decided to do it. but how?

ok, open an account with gox/stamp whatever. now send funds via intl. wire towards tokio or slovenia. that shit takes f o r e v e r.  uups, got your account verified yet ? hell, it takes forever again. price is rising all the time. finally they can trade (today?), so they do it. first thing that happens is that price goes down. first moment of panic, first taste of the bitter sheit that trying to beat the chart could mean. so what they do is selling 100 cheaper than they bought.
5366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 08:32:55 PM
yes, mbtc is the answer. it has to happen, otherwise we are screwed. people are afraid anyway since they are investing in some abstract digital "protocol". now if this in what they invest is so abstract and on top of it below 1, a fraction of 1, not even 1 - then they will not buy it. psychological barrier...

edit: typos
5367  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 27, 2013, 08:23:42 PM
Actually I will need a second ticket as well.  My wife didn't think BTC would hit 1000 so now she has to come with me to the party.  Grin

sorted, thx

do we have to preorder here or something? I don't get it.

you can reserve a ticket here with no obligation. ticket sale will be open beginning of december on this website:

https://btc1k.com/

since you did post here, you got a reservation for one ticket. (in the case 1000 tickets will sell very fast, which is very unlikely to happen, the reservations here would save your spot.

i really can´t wait to meet you in person since you played an important role for my discovery of bitcoin. thank you again, mate.

2) choose any banking highrise.

3) take elevator to top while emptying bottle. (should feel like bitcoin rising)

4) get on the roof.

5) drink more champagne.

6) piss on the bankers

 Grin
