Right now their ICO profile is 100% determined by a bot that checks for some standard fluff like the presence of a whitepaper and social media accounts. It is the last category where Cryptoflix scores low, but easily fixable. None of the bot ratings are influenced by the concept itself, which makes the ICO profile rating almost useless right now.
That's ridiculous how many ICO rating websites there are these day, and most of them don't have any added value. It's just a waste of time checking them. Investors should rather make their own opinion, official site of the project will tell you much more useful information. You're absolutely right! Each investor should collect information about the project. Analyze it and draw conclusions. |

I really don't see netflix competiting from the same audience. Wouold be cool though, but i am guessing they have their reasons for not getting the public in on their series and film funding policy. I think that the most important diference is going to be the film funding policy. We'll see how the content viewing system works. I think this will be a key point in this project. Many people want to participate in the creation of the film. And this opportunity makes this project special! |

Yeah, such feedback may serve greatly to the future of the project, and even the wildest dreams may turn into great success later on. It's always good to have more eyes on it. In other ANN topics in BCT the team is answering all question and post updates. Would be nice if there would be a weekly review to provice some facts to the past discussoins I agree with you. Yes i also think like many people here that the cap is high. The soft cap is 30 million, it’s a huge amount, maybe developp AI and Robotics things are very expensive. We will see if the amount is reached and what the team can do with that.
I think they said earlier that it doesn't matter if they hit the mark or not because they have private investors on standby that will make up the difference. Must be nice to have a line of people waiting to give you couple hundred million bucks. Could also be part of their strategy to make the project look even more interesting. I would like to see the cap not being reached in order for them to be forced to prove that there is in fact a group of private investors making up for the gap to $30 million dollars. Why are they not activating private investors in any case? It looks like there are more conditions in the background otherwise they wouldnt say no to more initial capital. I am sure they know what are they doing and would only make decisions to benefit their company. they were mentioning they don't want a huge investor to influence too much the direction of the project if i remember correctly This is not only the desire of this project, it is the desire of almost all projects, because everyone is striving for independence and decentralization. |

I like the project. If I had to give any criticism, it would be the tokens for downloading the app part of the plan. It just makes a giant list of people that will not actually use the platform. I think it creates a messy start to a social media app. Look at alphabet social platform for example. It's a spam fest and I already have more followers there than I do on twitter. Without even trying because they offer tokens for every friend you confirm.
Tokens for joining I think are still ok, it's pretty much the same as bounty campaigns. Despite the fact that some people won't use it, it still spreads the word. Giving tokens for confirming friends is however a little too much. It's some sort of referrals bounty? For a start is ok I guess and you're right, some people won't use it but you rather register into a platform with 250,000 users or on a platform with 1,000 users ? You get tokens for downloading the app so abusers will use their different google accounts to download the app without actually using it. I think there should be some special / right requirements to prevent it, so it will be not really for all people. I don't know how many tokens you get exactly but usually the amount isn't that big so it's not really worth the time to abuse this system I guess. don't underestimate how low can people go to get free stuff You're absolutely right. Some people are willing to do anything for profit. they absolutely do not care about the projects they are only interested in profit! |

But untill then the project needs money and a good start to publish a product which got features the people expect from a social NW platform.
data privacy only matters to a small group of people. but it is a start. draw those people in and get bigger, then move to draw in others. Sad but true. Most people are ignorant when it comes to data privacy. You need a different killer feature to draw people away from Facebook. And you said, it seems most people don't really care anymore about their privacy. A good example is WhatsApp, I think. Even though there are more secure messenger apps, people wanna stick to WhatsApp. Sphere has really a long way ahead, but I am confident they can do it. People do not worry that their personal information can be used by attackers against themselves! But when they encounter this problem and then start thinking about safety! I think data security is one of foremost concern with this project and naturally the DEVs would make it a priority. Data security is a problem of almost any project, especially such as social networks! |

Just a few things from me today as a reply to the recent discussions: 1) We do intend for CRYPTOFLIX to be a worldwide service, however the intention is to start in the underdeveloped, underbanked world, namely Asia, South America and Africa and expand from there. If you read the White Paper there is an analysis of both the competition and the markets and for paid content our first markets will be the unbanked population of the world who today have little or no other option than to watch pirated movies. But because of the much more flexible pricing structure, we expect than many content owners would want to be on CRYPTOFLIX for Europe and US as well. Believe me, if we see that there is an opportunity to grow into new markets, we will act on it. The free educational content will be out worldwide from day one. 2) Regarding languages and subtitles, this is really a choice for the content owner. Obviously local and regional films will already be versioned for the near markets, but for international films, usually there will be subtitled versions and if available also dubbed versions etc. From a content owner perspective it is important to always evaluate if the cost of dubbing a film will come back as income from said market. A good dub is costly and therefore many international films will only have subtitles. This is why our strategy is to start with markets, where there is a high level of English, French or Spanish language speakers to provide as wide a selection of films and TV from the beginning. 3) I have really enjoyed your ideas and suggestions for what movies you would like to see produced. Filmmaking is an art form that unfortunately is influenced heavily by contracts and rights etc. And it takes a long time and a lot of money to get from idea to seeing the film on the big screen. I know that you are wondering what kind of films you are going to be able to invest in with the FLIX Tokens. We will seek to provide a range of film and TV projects of different genres and budgets and from different parts of the world - all with one thing in common - they are good projects with quality people behind them.
