541  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Increasing Hashrate? on: November 08, 2013, 03:54:24 PM
Is there a way to increase hashrate mining on a PC?
Doing nothing but opening minor and go, I get roughly 300m/s, can I increase this or is it already capped? (GPU)
Cheers!

GPU mining bitcoin is dead, you can choose other cryto like Litecoin, feathercoin etc.... The only way to increase your hash further is overclocking. But it would consume more power and more heat..... Good luck ...

It's honestly a waste of time to mine bitcoins at this point you're better off mining alts and then transferring those into bitcoin.  You'll probably make more bitcoin as a results anyway.

How much are these shares going for nowadays now that bitfunder is shutting down and the shares are going private?
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: snapchat value > bitcoin cap, twitter value X 5 times bitcoin cap on: November 08, 2013, 03:42:54 PM
At the end of the day people like buying into hype and popular things.  Unfortunately, bitcoin isn't quite there on the popularity index but has been hyped by the press.  It's only a matter of time until the market capitalization of bitcoin surpasses both because of its uniqueness and far greater uses.

545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Reaches New Heights on: November 08, 2013, 03:37:28 PM
I just looked at coinbase and bitcoin was trading over there at $325 and doesn't show any signs of slowing down currently.

Anyone know how secure the investing is here?  After the shutdown of btct and bitfunder I'm a little worried on investing here.

Within 10 days imo.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 08, 2013, 02:38:19 AM
I think the days of double digit bitcoins are over...
550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still waiting for a correction to buy in? on: November 08, 2013, 12:59:45 AM
Corrections with Bitcoin tend to be minor.

$307 earlier today down to $281.

That would be a typical "correction" with Bitcoin.

As long as Bitcoin continues to have worldwide adoption, and the infrastructure continues to be built surrounding it in multiple countries ... i don't believe it will ever "crash".  We've reached a point now where it has a stable grounding.   And unlike the "financial analysts" say, that grounding has nothing to do with rally buying and pure speculation. They are building an infrastructure for this technology in many countries.

The goal is to bring a bank account to 6 billion people who have no bank account.  A way for 6 billion people to hold and transact money. As long as this infrastructure continues to grow, so will Bitcoins value.

Where are we in the infrastructure building process?  I would say we have barely just left the starting line.

Starting line|$60---$300 ----------------------------------------------------------------| $? Global Adoption

I'd have to agree here, its going to be difficult to stop bitcoin now that it's used in so many countries even if the US outlaws it, there's a strong population supporting it elsewhere.

Why are we withdrawing when we can just keep buying bitcoins lol.
552  Economy / Economics / Re: MtGox 6500 bitcoins for sale for GBP on: November 08, 2013, 12:56:05 AM
All we need is $4m in buys and all of the bitcoins for sale on gox are gone...
553  Economy / Economics / Re: Subway near Moscow offers 10% off if you pay with Bitcoin on: November 08, 2013, 12:54:48 AM
Not going to lie this is great for bitcoin especially if the franchise as a whole begins to pick up the idea...
554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did I miss the bottom? on: November 08, 2013, 12:52:41 AM
Buy in now and you wouldn't miss anything.
555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of the $300 mark. on: November 08, 2013, 12:50:41 AM
This really doesn't affect much, but the longer it stays at 300 the more bitcoin can hold that position.
556  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Another HashFast delay on: November 08, 2013, 12:41:51 AM
Yeah I'm not exactly sure how the miner protection plan is going to help recoup losses based from delayed shipping either.
557  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty and What If? on: November 08, 2013, 12:39:59 AM
Well at this point would take about $760m to 51% the network so... good luck.
558  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Ok ill say it , KnC are the only conpany to efficently deliver thus control diff on: November 08, 2013, 12:39:01 AM
Yeah exactly, personally I would say that kncminer is probably only about 20-30% of the mining landscape.
559  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Took one hour for the last block? on: November 08, 2013, 12:37:19 AM
The longer the better.... in terms of slowing the increasing difficulties changes.
560  Economy / Speculation / Re: Too late to buy? on: November 08, 2013, 12:35:29 AM
I'm considering buying now as well, but I also have a fairly large portion of bitcoins.  If you believe they will continue to rise theres no reason not to buy now.
