541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: December 29, 2023, 11:53:11 PM
Well, you can sell but you should hold the part of it. For optimism, there was second airdrop for delegators, if you sold all your airdrop, you wouldn't have made it, meanwhile if you held part of it (let's say 25%), delegated it you would have made it. For rest 75% you could as you please...

Yes, that's right. But my thought was that for those who sold coins immediately on listing on the stock exchange, they had a good opportunity to buy coins at a reduced price later. If we look at the Optimism chart, we will see that the value of the coin 2 weeks after the airdrop cost 3 times less. This means that you could buy 3 times more coins than you sold.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: December 29, 2023, 11:37:36 AM
...One thing these airdrops taught me is never sell all airdrop, keep some and stake if lp/governance is available. There were few which rewarded for holding/staking UNI token, and optimism's second airdrop was also for delegating op tokens. This is pretty much passive way of earning and you didn't use anything from your own pocket.

This does not apply to all coins. For example, both Arbitrum and Optimism were profitable to sell immediately after the airdrop was distributed, and as the graph shows, those who did so had a good opportunity to buy these coins after the price dropped. But the coins from Uniswap and Celestia needed to be held tightly in order to multiply profit.

If everyone gets losses, how are there still people who trade and don't just choose to invest long-term?
What happens is in the beginner trader phase. we cannot avoid losses. Every beginner or even experienced trader who starts trading must also go through this phase. some losses are bound to occur. but it gives beginners more experience and knowledge to grow. so that they can reduce the risk of loss gradually, they will make a profit.

Newcomers who lose money usually return to the market with a new deposit in order to exchange their money for experience once again. And in the end, they will either learn how to trade with profit, or become investors if they do not have the strength to leave the illusory opportunity to become a millionaire forever.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: December 28, 2023, 10:32:58 PM
I'm lucky enough to be eligible in Arbitrum's airdrop as it was totally unexpected for me.  I didn't even think about a lot about airdrops until I got in one. ..

I received my first major airdrop from Optimism a year and a half ago, but it was a meaningful choice, since I was active on 4 wallets at the same time. All that was received before Optimism was several tens of dollars and were not retro airdrops.
545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will be your trading strategy for crypto in 2024? on: December 28, 2023, 09:52:23 PM
That's the real challenge in the crypto market, aiming to hold for certain years so we can sell at its highest peak, but we know in reality the term hodling is not as easy as it is though. It's not as smooth and less stressful as they say because price correction keeps testing your faith as to how long you're sustainable to hold. You win when you hold it still despite of market crash and correction but you lose when you end up panic selling because of the fear that you will lose more...

Of course, if the coins are bought at the very bottom, then in any case it will be easier for you to hold a position, since it will always be profitable. But those who bought at a higher price, and at the same time the price decreases, will always be faced with a choice - to sell or continue to hold until the price recovers.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will be your trading strategy for crypto in 2024? on: December 27, 2023, 08:09:02 PM
A lot of people have been asking me this question, so I thought I'd ask you guys the same. My plan is to diversify across promising projects, optimize with rebalancing, and keep a level head throughout the ride.

I think everyone's strategy is the same - buy cheap, sell expensive. But not everyone is able to hold their coins for a long time in order to maximize their profits. And it is really very difficult to do this when you see that your deposit has doubled and there appears a great desire to fix your profit.
547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 27, 2023, 06:25:32 PM
Some traders prefer to be okay and continue trading hoping for some luck like they are in gambling rather than telling what really happens to them. ..

It seems to me that this is the main mistake by which a trader loses his money. Most traders continue to hold a losing position, instead of fixing a loss and starting to analyze the market in order to open a new position. This is probably what distinguishes successful traders who quickly close a position if the price moves in the wrong direction.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops speculations thread on: December 27, 2023, 05:33:40 PM
I mistakenly thought that the airdrop from Arbitrium was the largest in recent years, but it turned out that 3 more airdrops were larger than it. Of course, compared to the rest, Uniswap's airdrop of more than $6 billion looks unattainable today.

549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 27, 2023, 12:23:29 PM
It is very difficult to me...I always trade in the opposite direction and lost money...

It's sad, but you're not the only one who loses his money trading. According to statistics, 90% of traders lose their money. And the fact that almost everyone writes on the forum that they trade and make a profit is just a desire to pose as a successful trader, and not a statement of reality.

...Incentivized testnet, should take 10-20 minutes to complete tasks...

Over the past 2 years, I have completed about 100 projects in the test network, but the profit received, which was paid by only a few projects, is much less than what was received from Optimism alone. It is possible that after launching on the main network, this participation will be an additional bonus when distributing airdrop, but for myself I decided that I would no longer perform tasks on the test network, since this is just a waste of time.
551  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - coinchange.io / coinchange Financial - Fake Crypto Company STAY AWAY on: December 26, 2023, 11:31:29 PM
...It looks like there are others that have had issues with this company as well: ..

Why are you rushing to join an unknown project? Or do you think this is the last opportunity to make a profit? Believe me, every day will provide you with new opportunities, but you will need to choose one, exactly the one that will give you such an opportunity to make a profit. I think that at some point you will first study the reviews and then join the project.
552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: December 26, 2023, 05:38:34 PM
I even see how they add me to different groups, in which case I simply leave such groups. ..

You need to prevent others from adding you to different groups in the telegram settings in the Privacy section. And until I set up my telegram, I had to unsubscribe from several dozen groups every day, to which I was added during the day. Thus, spammers increase the number of participants in groups that inherently do not carry anything useful.
553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 26, 2023, 02:01:19 PM
...Knowing how to trade would only get you that far, but not j to the realm of successful traders. It takes a whole lot of desire to win, persistence and consistency to be a successful trader. So I assure that anyone who wants to be a successful trader can be by pursuing with passion...

This is all just theory, but in practice everything is completely different. And there are a very large number of traders who, after many years of unprofitable trading, decide to change their role to an investor. And for many, this is the right decision that allows you to earn a lot of money with minimal risk, which is still present when investing.
554  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have anyone heard about a platform called Adswage? on: December 26, 2023, 01:52:24 PM
...Anyone heard of this platform. I searched in Google but could not find any info.

There is no point in looking for additional information about this site, since you have already figured out for yourself that such a charge of $100 for activation is a scam. Focus on finding other types of earnings, but you should remember that if you are required to register for a fee, then most likely you are faced with fraud.
555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is leading crypto exchanges in 2024? on: December 25, 2023, 10:33:21 PM
Binance
Coinbase
OKX
FMCPAY

You mistakenly included MCPAY in your rating of the best cryptocurrency exchanges, since it is not one. You need to use the Coinmarketcap rating for your work, only when choosing an exchange you do not need to fall below the 10th place, since such exchanges have insufficient liquidity, which can lead to excessive loss of your money.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi i do Challenge to start from today with capital 3$ trading on: December 25, 2023, 10:05:12 PM
I sold ada not much movement with small capital...
I bought with 1$ lunc the luna classic Im expecting bigger move so i'll sell it i think make more money out of starting capital of 3$

How successful has your trading been in the last 10 years? Having such an experience in trading, you should have earned a decent profit, but you decided on a similar challenge with $ 3, which is much less than a schoolboy who saved money at lunch can afford.

All the reasons you mentioned enhance the psychological health of the trader and are good for preventing FOMO and FUD...

I also initially mistook OP for a practicing psychologist who wants to help the forum participants, but it turned out to be much simpler: OP is a plagiarist who regularly posts other people's messages on the forum, passing them off as his own. 559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow the technique if you have zero trading knowledge in crypto on: December 24, 2023, 09:22:09 PM
One should have enough knowledge about crypto currency trading then start trading crypto currency. I myself have seen crypto currency trading and taking time to check the market, crypto currency trading is successful. When we trade something, we certainly don't think of getting rich overnight. You have to trade with patience for long term with time.

Knowing all these trading recommendations will be useless without practical application. And not all traders perform them flawlessly, which certainly leads to losses. But if it were necessary to compile a more or less complete methodological manual for trading, it would definitely be more than the three recommendations that the OP presented.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy on: December 24, 2023, 08:52:45 PM
Any new altcoin that had a lot of hype in the market. The investment amount is not great so my best bet is be investing in a project which is new and most of its tokens is still locked. These are the project that whales try to manipulate and if i am lucky enough, I can get one such project that can give me multiple X by investing only 500$. That is risky but the amount is low so the risk is worth it. If my investment goes very well it can raise funds to add a few more altcoins to my portfolio which will give me a better chance to get more gems.

To find a coin that has a great potential to increase the price, you need to have experience and knowledge or possess insider information.  If you do not have this data, then any investment will be comparable to a casino, which will eventually lead to the loss of the deposit.
