How can we estimate the amount of time it may take to mine all of the 4.2 Million Anoncoins?

For now it is 1M per year, roughly that is 4.2M in August 2017 ?

No. Remember the block halving. The block rewards goes down from 5 to 2.5 per block, and stays at 2.5 for approximately 2 years. For the next 2 years after that the block reward will be 1.25 and so on. Mining out the last ~1.5 million will take many years.

So, cant we calculate the exact time?

You can calculate the excepcted amount in excel. I dont have the any time now, but I can set up a table later.

Its easy to whine and complain. Why not do something constructive?

http://www.coindesk.com/facebook-approves-first-cryptocurrency-tipping-apps/

Today the first tipping app was released on facebook. Earthcoin is one of only 14 coins supported!!

Deposit some earthcoins and let it rain! Spread the word, spread the message! Educate people about earthcoin and the technology. A lot of people have read about bitcoin, but the majority have no clue what cryptocurrency is or what purpose  it might serve.

Today I have had 2 friends download their first wallet (earthcoin) and sent them some coins. I challenge you to do the same!

New client looks really nice. Good job!  Smiley

Roll Eyes

Kor får du for deg at kursen raser nedover? Har vert kraftig oppgang siste 2 mnd.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peerunity v0.1.0 Has Just Been Released for Windows, Linux and OS X (FAQ Inside) on: June 04, 2014, 04:16:38 PM
could we see some screenshots ?

The design is boring so probably not.  Smiley

But it is really great. The unlock wallet for minting button is very nice. And the fact that the Peerunity client use the files the peercoin client already have created/downloaded makes it very easy to switch. Just download and install and you are ready to go.

18,000,000 EAC bought at 4 sat (not by me)  its a good start I guess.

Did you notice what happened with SAT when they change to POS.... I've been asking for this change for months, but some more air in the coin, stop dilution.

The only way to revive earthcoin is to change to
- PoS
- X11
- anonymous wallet

+1

You guys really don't understand any fundamentals. There is 2 things that are needed for earthcoin to survive and thrive. 1. secure the blockchain 2. adoption. The only way to secure the block chain would be merged mining with litecoin. x11 is just a marketig shill, proof of stake is not viable and anonymity it really not needed. To change from the original specs is just what a scamcoin would do. Price don't mather at this time. The only thing that mathers is adoption, adoption leads to higher price. But before adoption the blockchain need to be secure.

What's X13, and what makes it etter than X11?

Good question, technical stuff Smiley Problem is all coins are now X11, but changing to X11 doesn't add any value, changing to X13 that can do some good here. It is just a change based on X11.

x11 or x13 or scrypt is the same shit. The point of proof of work is to secure the blockchain. That wont happen no mather what hashing algorithm that is chosen unless the coin got the majority of the global hashrate. The only way to secure the blockchain is to be merged mined with litecoin.

The implementation of real anonymity will make the core devs millionaires.

Why? Do they got 2 million instamined coins hidden away somewhere?  Cheesy

The devs is most likely far from beeing the biggest holders. And that is actually a problem.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: May 27, 2014, 09:36:30 PM
There is a lot of anger in this thread now. Just sharing my own opinion. Smiley

I started to follow anoncoin back in oktober 2013 and i have followed the development since. I just hold a small amount of coins. I don't feel that the devs owe me anything at all. There is in my opinion no broken promises, and no significant errors have occured. Of course I would which for better marketing and faster development, but as far as i have seen these things have not been directly promised. The fact that anc is scarce and extremly fair distributed is actually a problem. Without several huge holders working their asses of promoting a coin for their own sake, thus getting the sheep to follow, it is hard to break trough.

When it comes to darkcoin I am still very glad that I never bought a single coin. 2000% gain in 2 weeks would have been nice, but what goes up must go down, and i feel sorry for all the newbies who are going to loose big investing in that scam. I am pretty sure darkcoin will be as "dead" as quark/megacoin in a few months.

The only sensible action would be to stick with the original specs and get merged mined with litecoin.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: May 18, 2014, 09:19:04 PM
I would be glad to donate a few anc if the community put something like that together.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THOR] THORCOIN | ASIC RESISTANT | PoS | Join the THOR Community! on: April 23, 2014, 08:33:40 PM
Why launch a thor/btc market when the current market price is below 0,1 satoshi?

Well, the real question is, why not? It's not like it will not be needed. The price is not below 0.1 satoshi, the current price is 1 satoshi (which is still ridiculous), and ALL of Thorcoins that I sold since cryptorush is down were sold at 1 satoshi. If you have any Thorcoins I would be more than happy to buy it from you at 4 litoshi (0.1 satoshi)...

Why not is pretty obvious. If there is zero trade the exchange don't make any money. And the spot would be better spent offering any other coin that might generate trading fees.

If you check the sci-fi exchange you can see that the current rate is 3 litoshi. In btc price that is 0.00000003 * 0.025 = 0.0000000075. 0,075 satoshi. If there is any exchange where you can sell for more please let me know.  Smiley

You need some more options at the poll.

I would vote $10.000 or less.

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the acceptable level of premine for bounties? on: April 18, 2014, 07:02:09 AM
I dont see any problem with premines when they are announced and accounted for. The biggest problem by far is instamining. That is what you want to look for.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What anonymous coin will succed? on: April 13, 2014, 07:32:41 AM
My prediction: 6 months from now darkcoin will mostly be forgotten, and then referred to as a scam. The hype is very similar to what megacoin had, and then quark. Something new and brighter will always come along and steal their fanboys.
558  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: bicoinsnorway on: April 12, 2014, 07:36:00 AM
Du har justcoin og bitmynt som er seriøse og leverer veldig gode tjenester. Korfor ta sjansen på å prøve en tvilsom aktør?
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Announcing Peerunity - The Future of Peercoin and Peershares development on: April 12, 2014, 07:10:01 AM
Great news. Anyone not buying and holding peercoin at this time are really going to regret it in a few years.  Smiley

It's great to have the debug window in the qt version of the software. That makes PoS minting much more comfy Smiley
Now we may strive for a "minting button" Cheesy

Yeah this made it much much easier. Never bothered with pos minting before now. Wonder how long it will take before i solve a block.  Smiley

I actually got a block inn less then 24h. 0,8 Peercoin mint by stake.  Smiley
