how can you prove you come from MIT?  I also have nothing to do with this coin and am just an interested observer, but I believe they are in fact from MIT as they wouldn't be able to get a .mit.edu domain otherwise. If you run a WHOIS on their site it lists MIT as the registrar. Cause its a subdomain of MIT. Its either they are real students or they bought some MIT students email addy. I honestly believe its a scam ran by some indian guy. Dig harder there are a lot of footprints left from mainsites whois. Thanks for the confidence. The student who designed the website is from India and is on vacation. He did the registration from there, probably why that is so. And its not possible to buy an MIT email address. Man, what you said made me believe it's scam. |

1) it's not that talkcoin sucks, my deepest regret is investing in the dev team. why? there was an official vote last month initiated by tac team, the community spoke with its desires, and yet the community was ignored.
-- this automatically became a red flag for me. it was really frustrating because ive been a strong supporter of this coin for many months now.
As AizenSou has explained, the voting system will be modified but it requires time to create our new system, it's more complicated than changing 2 or 3 variables in the code. 2) Chat, whether encrypted or not, is easily being implemented on all popular coins. Sooner or later a coin will have it implemented on the blockchain, depending on community desire. Once that occurs, I guarantee you talkcoin will become obsolete. It's not about being first or anything, it's about answering and responding to community desires. That's what drives a coin.
No, it's not easily being implemented. If you want create a secure p2p chat, it requires much time and work. And cloning talkcoin or any code is not a good idea if you don't know what you are doing (see chatcoin). That's why there is no alternative, there are only easier solutions (chat on centralized IRC channel) but what is the point to use central servers in a P2P cryptocurrency... 3) the market is growing heavily inflated even with low block reward.
The market is not growing heavily inflated, the voting system was invented for that reason. Here's some comparisons: TAC in circulation: ~7 million LTC in circulation: ~30 million NXT in circulation: ~1 billion DOGE in circulation: ~100 billion A pretended scarcity (see 365coins, 42coins, mincoin, bitbar etc) have demonstrated clearly enough that scarcity is just a gitzmo/scam that never works in long term. More for me. Honestly, the coin is running extremely well with a clean transition to PoS. It's only been 5 days or so since launch and it the weekend right now. So far, the devs haven't left yet and I see no reason for them to do so. No premine, ridiculously fair launch so no easy mining means they did not get cheap coins and have more to lose if they quit now. And no plan. |

I don't care about whether you are from MIT. What really matters is that whether you are scam. Until now, you just have a website for pre-sale. Who can prove that you are not scam?
If you can't prove yourself and keep this suituation until the pre-sale is over, then there are only two possibilities about this coin: A. It's scam; B. It's not scam, but you guys want to possess more proportions and keep others out.

Oops. I got over-excited and bought a little bit more even though I got some in the IPO and told myself I wasn't going to buy more.
Anyway if you buyed at IPO you maded profit, so you can keep buying! Yes, and based on where it seems to be settling right now I think I made an ok buy anyway, even though I was trading on emotion which they say you should never do. Lol there are people dumping like crazies. 12 btc of xcr dumping in 10 minutes. Because they don't have confidence in this coin. And most people involved in it are Chinese. |
