So DieCommieScum has won the darkcointalk contest! He will recieve 100 darkcoin.
Commie, PM me the address you want the dark sent to. Congratulations! (From DarkcoinTalk.org)
P.S. I would like to send the full 50 dark through darksend. Is that possible to do at the moment? Also, a big thanks to Lzepplin for donating 50drk towards this! Congrats, scum! [it seems slightly weird to say that.] Yaaay, Scummy, Congrats!

CHAOSiTEC, you are a valued member of this forum. ymer is a cancer. His allegations are baseless, meritless, slander. He's a troll of the highest order. I am setting him to ignore. First time I've done that for anyone. What a tool.
I have done that as well, but poor CHAOSiTEC has to defend himself in case new people show up and reads what he says. I hope CHAOSiTEC finds the weasely little twerp and sues the pants off of him!

This is by far the healthiest I've ever seen our hashing distribution. lottery 1.7% hahahahahaha good. fuck that scampool 1st, all the evidence has been laid out that i have never scammed anyone, i have even opened up access to ALL my accounts, ALL accounts held by lotterymining both old site, and new 2nd, which part of "lotterymining is closing down on the 22. april" did you not get? 3rd as ive told you before, everyone who is determinded to find me, can easily find me, hell, ill even give the lucky person who can first figure out my phone number and send me a message, 50 drk.. go ahead, i will remind people, that im on a boat, so any messages send, i will proberly not recieve until tomorrow. except ymer, since i dont like to be accused, and especially not by someone who dispite several requests, has not produced any evidence at all, and at the same time ignores the proof that i have not scammed anyone, and those proofs did not even come from me. 4th.. i ask again, how many blocks would i need to "steal" to make up for the coins i have given away (18000 drk), and how the hell would i be able to hide those? Ymer, put up some evidence, or shut the fuck up! edit: 5th. if i ever find out where you live, i will sue you for slander, then you only have 1 option left, to try and produce proof, which you cannot, since i have NEVER cheated anyone, and i can proudly say, in all my life! Good God, CHAOSiTEC, why do you answer him? I guess because he is trying to ruin your reputation. Hopefully anyone would know he is not a reputable person, and a scammer.

How is it possible that one guy on p2pool who has 7,75MH/s gets 0,5drk and at the same time I have 9 MH/s and get only 0,17drk, I was mining all day there. I have good latency and was @ darkcoin.fr:7903
See my comment above, it takes 24 hours to get full rewards, on the other end though, you will continue to receive rewards for 24 hours after you quit.

Interesting. Serious people don't use Yahoo but I never knew they published random propaganda. o_0 I mean, it even says "BlackCoin PR" at the bottom. lol...
And I would never have known that if you hadn't pointed it out! The whole time I was reading it, I couldn't help but thing "what?" how did they get a reporter to gush like that??? LOL

Anyone has an idea why the reward at darkcoin.fr (P2P) is only a quarter of what I get at a classic pool? I had less than 1% rejects....so? Monitored for 24h.
Less than one percent is not normal Mine pool should be a problem Good luck to you Have you been mining 24 hours? You won't get up to full rewards until 24 hours have passed, but then again, you will continue to collect after you quit for 24 hours, so it evens out

********************** Windows Wallets, including beta wallets have been updated and should be upgraded from http://darkcoin.io**********************This is to upgrade OPENSSL to v1.0.1g, which is not affected by HeartBleed bug. Will be doing same for Linux wallets. Oh shoot, I think I goofed up. Are the beta wallets already up to date? And are these here without darksend?

I also hope is a great silver
A great future to us
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this is no silver to bitcoin's gold. no. It's Platinum and a bit of fine diamonds in there. TanteStefana I like your vision, especially that DRK is like the wine, the older is better It's gonna be great! So much innovation from Evan et al. I think we even *might* have won over anonymint, LOL.

1000DRK sure, but that doesn't equal the necessary knowledge or commitment to run a node behind DDOS.
Basically I just hope that people are putting up decent DDOS protection. Maybe this should be confirmed by the current master node operators.
I plan on trying to set one up, but right now I'm just researching. It's a lot of stuff to go through because the information on the internet is more for running Apache/MySQL, etc.. not quite the same, yet similar. Our situation is sort of easier if you use a dedicated server (which I plan on) so it's a matter of filtering out the pertinent information. I'm looking forward to all information shared here on the thread

As it is, if one node is compromised or malicious, what stops it from hosing up darksend? Sure, that TX will fall out of the memory pool and eventually be not a sent transaction according to my client, but how about something that actively avoids the incident? Why shouldn't all clients hosting the full chain also be darksend nodes? For that matter, why is darksend optional? Why aren't all sends done in that manner automatically? Input volume, yes...
The idea of masternodes is to create a very expensive network similar to mining, where users invest money to make money. If you decide to be malicious, the only power you have is to not allow transactions for that 2.5 minutes, in which case you forfeit the money the network will pay you. If all nodes were able to do it, the network would be vulnerable to sybil attacks. See my conversation with Anonymint. Confirm the velocity is the developer should face up to the problem We are very concerned about this Do we still have a slave node that would take over if the Master node misbehaves?

I like my response better. I'm sure it was better, but I'm doing my morning spamming, LOL Wow, all caught up!!!

The price of bitcoin may get a little hairy soon.
The closer we get to 15 April when China exchanges are rumoured to be prevented from using their own corporate bank accounts for BTC and alt-coin to fiat conversions, the wilder things will get.
Official confirmation to the contrary may stop the run on Bitcoin and Litecoin. And it is feasible that the bulk of selling has largely taken place.
If anyone gets the urge to sell some DRK for fiat if bitcoin takes a nose dive. PM me. I might be interested, at the right price.
On the other hand, if nothing changes, Bitcoin should do well

Quoted from the other thread: "DarkSend is in Beta V6 and will be moving to RC1."
What is RC1?
Thx!
Release Candidate, but it will still be closed source. It will be the main wallet though, yet it will be tested for stability and any other issues. It should be safe to use, though, at that point.

I know I already asked this before but I didn't have a chance to investigate further. I am trying to get my old wallet (xcoin) to sync so I can transfer my balance to new DarkCoin wallet
all you *should* have to do is drop your old wallet.dat file into the new Darkcoin wallet's .darkcoin folder (normally hidden in /home file in Ubuntu) or it's the darkcoin folder in /User/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/darkcoin in windows Vista, 7 and 8 *remove the old (newer) wallet.dat file first, don't merge. Just in case.* If that doesn't work, something might be wrong with your old xcoin wallet.dat (which should be completely interchangeable with a darkcoind wallet.dat) Interchangeable? yes, your wallet.dat is the heart of your account. It is all you need to recreate your wallet. Just get a working wallet up and running, then go into the darkcoin folder (not the one where your executable is, but the one that holds the blockchain etc...) Delete the wallet.dat file in there (unless it's important, then save it somewhere else) and put in your old xcoin wallet.dat file. Do this without the wallet running, it must be closed. Then restart your wallet and your old xcoin/darkcoin should appear. Note: if you used the File > Backup Wallet function, you may have named your wallet.dat something like Xcoin.dat. You will need to rename it wallet.dat if that is the case. Also, never try to save/backup your wallet.dat file by copying it from the darkcoin folder while the wallet is running. It will be corrupted (but won't show anything) If you want to save while the wallet is running, always use the File>Backup Wallet function.

In this case, one could also encrypt the wallet.dat with a random key and immediately destroy it forever (so even you don't know it) with a single key pair inside and print out the private key as a paper wallet which can be kept somewhere safe (e.g. not in your house and/or next to the server hardware). When you decide to shut the node down and spend your coins, you simply delete your wallet.dat and import the private key from the paper wallet to a freshly generated wallet.dat
That's not really going to work. Upon starting the masternode up, it's going to need to sign the input with the 1000DRK to show you own it. After that all messages will use a separate key, so the wallet can be encrypted until the next restart. What do you mean? 1: darkcoind can't become a masternode without unlocking the wallet with the original passphrase to sign a message? 2: the original private key on the paper wallet won't unlock all of it's coins after a darkcoind have used the encrypted wallet.dat to become a masternode and got shutdown in the mean time? I don't think it's case 1 because as much as I can tell, I successfully started a masternode already without ever unlocking my wallet with the wallet passphrase. However, case 2 sounds way too risky. I think what he means is that when you start up your masternode, before it gets encrypted, it has to prove it has 1000 dark in it and is awarded a key that says he can be a master node. Then, right after it's started, and proved itself, it locks down the coin, engages the encryption and uses the key it was awarded to perform his duties..... I have turned the wallet into a him, no idea why, LOL. Son is talking about Master and Commander next to me with his father, prob. why....

DRK will be USD$101 in 2015.
We should turn this into a competition. Price is right style (the closest without going over). What is the closing price January 1st, 2015 in USD (using cryptsy and bitcoinaverage.com)? Winner gets??? January 1st will be a low point 'cause everyone will be sapped due to the holidays, LOL. And too drunk or hungover to buy, LOL
