541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin only Businesses that reject all fiat on: February 19, 2015, 06:07:15 PM
I am interested in compiling a list of businesses that exclusively accept Bitcoin. Businesses that exclusively accept bitcoin are a value added asset to our community as they are more likely to not immediately cash out and any person doing business with them are incentivized to buy bitcoin first. There are many drug related, porn, and gambling sites that only accept Bitcoin but I'm not interested in discussing those in this thread despite them being valuable services.

This was one of the most outstanding things I have seen on Bitcoin talk in the past 12 months actually. A great Idea and a post that deserves stickied. These businesses need to be not only known in this community but used by us for as much as we can use them for. Thank you inBitweTrust, you have done a great thing for the use of bitcoins in a way other than trading them for some quick cash. I just wish there were 10 times as many places.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.10.0 has been released on: February 19, 2015, 05:54:11 PM
Appreciate your great work

Yes awesome work guys

100 people working on the core and 0 people working on the demand for bitcoin, you guys are doing great work for your coin if your priorities weren't all messed up Smiley I think you should start doing some real work and maybe do something positive for your investors like ahh CREATE A DEMAND so people will have a reason, a purpose and a need to buy more bitcoins than they sell. STOP waiting for others to create a demand for your coin.

And before you code and bitcoin developer lovers get all bent out of shape, I have been in bitcoins for a long time, mined them traded them, own informational websites, facebook groups, held seminars and never have I ever used the bitcoin core wallet Smiley to much work on that core and not enough for the demand. The core wallet is to confusing to people without coding experience, to understand it, and god forbid if they are not super experienced and only have a command line to use they wont get past the git clone, the developers have spent way to much time on the core development that is simply put, NOT userfriendly. Unless its in a graphical interface, it deters users from even using bitcoins so adoption and adaptation is more complex. the value of bitcoin continues to fall with every new release. its time to get your priorities together, because in another 5 years if things keep going this way, there will be no more bitcoins Smiley

Wow you guys really missed out HAHA

When I posted this Netcoins were worth 0.00000158 Yesterday they hit 0.00000665.

Oh well much like everything else in the bitcoin industry the early birds got the fortune Smiley and the latecomers go home broke. This giveaway would have gotten people more value than doing 500 faucets for a week. Its sad but this is the only forum where NO MEMBERS have taken part.

Dont worry tho Netcoin will rise up again and I tyhink much higher than 800 sat also. Netcoin has a great development team and great community support. You still have a chance to get in on the giveaway.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency do you have the most faith in the long term? on: February 13, 2015, 12:45:02 AM
One you do not have Listed Netcoin.

I am moving on to bigger and better things, POS coins are the way to go.

If people can not already see the problems with the POW situations on high valued coins, they are blind. DO the math because before to long it will be to late. and the only people profiting in the end will be the PPLNS pools who already make a fortune off their members mining for them. POW is a dieing breed, coins with little development are dieing faster. POW coins just will not work in the end days, unless the Developers decided to crack in those huge wallets of theirs and buy about 1000 PHS of mining equipment POW coins will die when the reward becomes 1 BTC per block and the difficulty is in the trillions.

So for me I like POS coins, they have no overhead electric costs, and I can earn more by investing in the coins it snot like mining equipment where you can spend thousands of dollars, but when your electric costs become higher than the reward to support them you are screwed you just have a huge paperweight, but with POS if i get sick of my rewards on a coin i just sell them and move onto a better coin thus keeping my investment and actually making a huge profit as I move onto other coins. I dont ahve a paperweight in my basement I have cash in my hand at every turn.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not gold on: February 13, 2015, 12:33:53 AM
why do people insist that Bitcoin should work exactly like gold? What's so fantastic about the yellow metal that they want to replicate?

They want it to work like gold for the same reasons gold is so fantasitc to them,

Gold holds value, no matter how hard the banks try and have tried over the years, gold has withheld the test of time and wins every war waged against it by the shiny bullion holders. no matter whst they do , whst they try (paper contracts that are not backed by the shiny metal at all AKA IOUs) Gold still wins.

Investors want another GOLD on a market the banks cant win on. If you cant place a buy and a sell (long and a short) non a trade the banks and big investors are limited on thier profits, because Bitcoin does not have these options available where banks can profit the mostly from you and mee, they want to discredit it.

They want another gold, something that can battle the banks and win at every turn, something so strong that no matter what the banks throw at it, you will never see it fall to far.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Misconception of Bitcoin's Transaction Irreversibility. Bill Gates read this on: February 13, 2015, 12:22:23 AM
Accounting 101 - Transactions are not reversible in any currency!  In GAAP accounting, if you want to reverse a transaction, you keep the original transaction, then add more transactions to net out to zero.  Money would be refunded/"sent back" from the original receiver to the sender, but the original transaction remains forever.

Accounting 101 - Transaction ledger is not reversable HOWEVER the actual transactions are easily "reversable" in both credit cards and checks, thats the problem with fiat systems.

I can easily go to Aeropostale, write a check for a transaction and do 1 of 2 things, cancel the check before it clears, or just take all the money out of my account so it bounces and either way they do not get paid for the transaction.

With Bitcoin this would be impossible, the reason it is not more widely accepted by big wigs is very simple they can not get out of a transaction, the only people who really care about transaction reversals are the ones who use them on a monthly basis to get something and not have to pay for it if they dont like or even if they simply dont want to pay for it.

REALITY 101- For businesses Bitcoin  is the way to go,

1. no % of your transactions paid to the credit card companies to use their method of payment.
1A. ask yourself why should you pay VISA 2% of your transactions to use their method of payment, dont they get enough from the interest they charge the card holder?

2. No way to back charge or cancel a transaction no matter what.
2A. Visa doesnt give a rats ass if you get your money, they are making 2% of every transaction  your business does from you as well as 8% to 22% interest from the card holder, so no matter what they are getting paid for every transaction that is made both from your business and the card holders.

3. No Cancelled checks that you pay for in the end.
3A. Canceled checks another double whammy. The business that accepts the check gets charged a bounced check fee as well as the person who writes the check, so banks dont give a rats ass if someone bounces a check on your business because you and they both get charged a fee. And for someone making a purchase of 300 dollars this is a perfect solution, get 300 dollars worth of merchandise for 25 dollars. (the 25 dollars is their check bouncing fee)

In summary if you are to stupid to see the benefits of Accepting Bitcoin in your business over the use of credit cards and checks, well then you deserve to pay all those fees every month to your bank and credit card, Business decision are very important and your budget can make or break your business, would you pay 30 dollars for a product and sell it for 25, NO YOU WOULD NOT, then why use payment methods that cost your business money when you can use one that costs virtually nothing.
547  Economy / Gambling / Re: GamaDice.com Excellent game with great odds on: February 12, 2015, 11:49:42 PM
Are you sure ? Im certain it tells me max bet is -0.0002 or something like that.

Same here. I got the message "Error: Your bet is too big. At this time we only accept bets which are not bigger than -0.0002606 BTC".

Plus, you have a slightly higher house edge than the other older, more trusted and popular dice sites. Why would anyone play on your site?

The reason for this error is because he doesn't have enough BTC in the games bank to support a bet higher than 0.0002606. With this I would say he has less than 0.01 BTC in the dice games wallet, so if you bet to high it throws the error.

@ defensa70, Bro dont be lazy you have to spend money to make money, if you want your dice game to succeed better than your ponzi scam as another member mentioned above, put enough BTC in the games bank to support some players. Dice games are just as big a gamble for the owners as they are for the players, so dont invest BTC you are not prepared to lose.

FYI raising that house edge means absolutely nothing, you can put a house edge of 1000 in that section or a house edge of 0 and the outcome will be exactly the same. Lower it to 0 so your players dont get pissed, it just makes you look like a scammer. OOR be real scandelous and remove the statistics page without deleting the button HAHAHA Nice move.
( for the players, the house edge in this game script means nothing actually.)

Also it would help to be more educated when launching a project, you cant just be smart enough to do a GIT repo and think you got it made, I bet you were also stupid enough to put the wallet on the same server as the dice game, as well as not close the backdoors embedded in the dice game script you downloaded. I hope you were smart enough to hash the Players passwords in the MYSQL database, (unless you planned on stealing them)

Its children like you that make it so hard to accomplish anything productive in this industry. Just go back on the porch poodle cause you cant hang with the big dawgs.

FYI: Player_136 wiped you out Sad

550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: share your tips trading altcoin? on: February 07, 2015, 04:39:36 PM
Cheesy i creat this thread
and hope more people share his tips to me

yesterday i buy more DGB in rate 48 and i sell in 58
i get profit but DGB fly to the moon in 190sat

are i lose some moment ?? how to know that coin will be fly ?  Undecided

With research, you want to follow the coins trends watch the charts, and try and find a P&D when you can. use the tools at your disposal, join the coins forum, not just BTT they dont share their knowledge here often. But to get the scoop on n coin its much better to be int their personal community forum where more information is exposed than just here. no one will tell you their pure secrets especially when ti comes to trading, because if everyone knows them they are not so easy or profitable. Even I have things and tricks I use that i tell no one.

But to sum up basically what everyone already knows, Research, use the coins personal community to fir tips as to what the community is doing to increase the price, try to find a way t get some juicy info about a possible P&D and jump on that train when you can. This si a gamble no matter if some want to admit it or not. most of it is luck and knowing when to hold them and when to sell them. momentum is the key watch the momentum.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Movement in Philippines on: February 07, 2015, 01:39:22 PM
Well bitcoin seems to have caught hold in the Philippines. They do have a lot of bitcoin-related services. Wish the rest of the world could be as accepting as them towards bitcoin. Definitely a positive lean on bitcoin.

I would love to see where all this hype is coming from.

I live here, I am a member of many MANY Philippines Bitcoin and crypto related facebook groups. I have met a lot of so called bitcoin investors. For me I see no real interest in the people here. I see no real involvement and I sure dont see any of these bitcoin-related services. I see very very few miners and I have one of the largest bitcoin mining farms in the Philippines and it is tiny compared to most western farms.

I cant even organize these people  to come together as a group and help progress themselves as bitcoiners and investors. From my experience most of the investors I have met, got in when the coins were super cheap and just want to be bagholders. I see most of them are doing anything and everything free they can to obtain bitcoins right now, but want no part in a real investment, Like a bitcoin mining pool for the Philippines that is solar powered, Or a bitcoin cloud mining operation that is solar powered.I have mentioned these and other progressive ideas to many of the investors that said they were big holders of bitcoins.

Their internet sucks holding all of us back from any of those opportunities. For faucets, and anything related like that we have to fight each other, meaning if me and my neighbor do the same faucet and he does the faucet before me, I incur his wait time on my account, Or he is a member of a site that has a one per household limit I can not join in, because they have what is called shared internet service.  Not to mention all of the ISP providers customer IPS as well as server IPs are blacklisted making it impossible to even get accounts with a lot of the income generating avenues Bitcoin offers.

The Filipinos that do seem genuinely interested are mostly OFWs or people who are Filipino but do not live here anymore looking for good opportunities to help their families back here.

I will say coins.ph is one of the leaders in the bitcoin revolution over here and have tried a few times to get me to utilize thier service however I am a local bitcoins man, I have been with them from the beginning and as of right now have no intentions on changing.

I have actually stopped dealing with the Philippines investors due to their lack of true interest, their embellishing of their true invested amounts, and just the things most of them have told me that were simply lip service or empty promises. I have connected with investors from Viet Nam instead. and we are progressing very promising projects right now. It is sad the Filipino people have a lot to benefit from Bitcoins and the crypto community, but the reality is they neither see the benefits nor have a real want to get involved unless it is free. They have the misunderstanding that in business you never have to spend money to make money, and they cant see past the hand in front of their face. A lot of them are looking for a quick payout, and overnight quadruple their money ordeal and dont seem to realize that train long passed us a couple years ago.

It really is sad how hard i worked, how many people I met and how little involved they really wanted to be. It is even more sad that i know how much an investor can profit from some of the programs we have in mind, and last but not least it is most sad that i had to go out of the country where I live to find true investors who gave me more than lip service and empty promises.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NETcoin is one of the best POS/POW coins right now on: February 07, 2015, 09:59:19 AM

I invest a lot of time and research in POS coins. I think they will soon be the dominant species of crypto coins. With the ever astoundingly high energy costs of running hardware mining farms, the little miners will be forced to turn to alternative means of investment, and in that will be turning to POS coins that consume very little energy and still give you the ability to make a nice profit.

As I research the in depth workings of POS and how they all differ I came across this coin when trading on cryptsy. Like any other coin advised to me in the cryptsy chat, I had to investigate. Upon downloading the wallet for a better understanding and reading the coins inner workings while the wallet synced I saw a lot of interesting and different things.

The first thing In noticed is this development team has put more into this coin than most other coins I have seen. All the different features in the wallet were proof of this. So then I go over to their coins personal forum. And wow this was a forum like no other. This forum even allows you to earn NETcoin just for being involved. You want a netcoin faucet No problem they have a neat Spin and Win Game right in your forum profile where you can win netcoins every day. They also have a cool Netcoin Slot Machine accessible right from your forum profile. All the features of this forum showed me how involved the coins developers really were and what this coin can do for its investors, but thats not where the amazement stopped for me.

As a true investor and lover of POS coins I decided I wanted to give more than just monetary investment into Netcoin, so i added this coin to a couple of the projects I have going for POS coins. I worked 9 days on scrummaging thru a code for a project and got it almost finished but just could not figure a couple things out to finalize the project for testing. One question to the main Developers of Netcoin and these gentlemen walked me thru finalizing MY project. They did not have to help me, and to even think a Bitcoin developer (or any other coin of that stature) is going to take time out of his margarita schedule to help a peon finalize a project involving his coins is just blind faith and stupid, because they wont. But the Netcoin developers set up a whole day where a few of them went thru my project with me, looking for my mistakes and finally within minutes of finding the mistake I had made, they had my project up and running and ready for testing. This certain project was not going to revolutionize Netcoin, it may not help it or boost it, but these guys went thru the steps to help me finalize it anyways. You are not going to find that with many coins people.

As I worked on the project and continued to watch Netcoins trading volumes i have watched as the price has tripled since the first encounter on cryptsy with Netcoin almost a month ago. Its been almost a month since I have been investing in this coin and I have (if I dared to sell right now) made over 200% profit from regular trading of this coin. This is no pump this is no P&D group pushing its value, this is just everyday regular trading for almost a month now. On top of the potential profit I could make by selling I find holding them in their POS process with the PIR feature earns me even more NET as I hold them.

Being in this for a while now I understand the need and desire to sift thru the haystack looking for the coins that mean something to the investors, searching desperately for the coins that we know as investors we can depend on and earn back as an investor, and ladies and gentlemen I think we have that right here with Netcoin.

Please dont take my word for it, Whenever anyone has the need to invest always make Educated investment decision, I invite you to follow in my footsteps, research this coin, Look into it, talk with some of the people developing it, they have no curtains. You will see this coin means a lot to them which means a lot more to the investors who choose to invest in it.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) Netcoin has gone POS! With PIR & OWI on: February 07, 2015, 09:30:03 AM
Does anyone here have a working Netcoin Mac OS X Intel Arch. Wallet that is working? Please Post a link.

I am not sure exctly how to help you, But what i do know is I have a netcoin wallet built and installed on an Ubuntu VPS, had it installed on a CentOS VPS before that, I also have my own personal computer with a server wallet running. I wish i could help you farther with your MAC issues but I actually do not know much about MACs. If I were you I would try and build the wallet from the command line using the Git Clone utilities and their awesome walkthru here Guide for Installing Netcoin. I am not sure if that will help at all but me (being no so profecient in Macs or Linux systems) would at least try it. I would think (however I could be wrong) Once you do compile and build it the netcoind would be available from your regular graphical interface where you could be able to open the wallet with a double click or the usual line command (That even i use in windows) of netcoind -server or just netcoind.exe.

Please keep in mind I know very little about MACs or Linux But I know that walkthru walked me right thru setting the wallets up on my VPS systems in less than 10 minutes.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: webserver connecting to a VPS on: February 05, 2015, 05:16:54 PM
Does this mean it finally worked?

Yes (I think)

Maybe what the problem was is I installed the wallet in the root folder originally and did not cp netcoind to the right directory, so when i messed it all up I made sure I was in the public_html directory when i installed it and cp netcoind to a public_html directory as well. I THINK that may have been what fixed it. I know its connecting to the wallet and it is generating addresses from within my wallet but I cant see about deposits until the wallet is fully in sync.

If I were you I would check that the script does not have a backdoor.

I am still testing the site so its not public yet, we are looking rigorously for the backdoors but so far we have not been able to find any. the wallet has specific ips it allows to connect as well as the VPS itself (now you see why i wanted the wallet on a different server than the game) I only have so much control over the webserver but we are doing our best to secure everything. the member passwords are hash protected in the mysql database, thus making it a pain in the ass if someone looses their password or makes a mistake cause I cant even see what their password is. Its sad all we have to do to defend against theives. they are what made this so damn complicated. Also why i would not just put rcpallowip* there was no way that was happening HAHAHA

I love programming, what should work never does what shouldnt work sometimes does, and when its broke, and you fix it, you hardly ever know how or why HAHA your just happy it worked HAHA

I do not know how, I do not know why, If I did I would post how it got fixed But some whay some how its freakin working. I will check this wallet address to see if ti is really in my wallet, but it got past the step 3 and installed the script and actually gave me a netcoin wallet address HAHA I have no idea how.

I tried  few things, I noticed when I make the password incorrect in the other script test that works I get the same error.

So I am not sure what is happening, is the script somehow maybe inputting the incorrect information somehow? when I move the items around it sems it is relaying the information as it is put into the script, but for somereason the firebig report shows it really is not getting anything back from the VPS after it is sent out. I do not understand. But that test script (from lisek) works fine no problems at all
