541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which of these Alts shall I choose for my Portfolio? on: June 28, 2017, 12:03:19 PM
I don't understand why people look at USD prices when trying to find a cheap coin. "Under $10" means nothing, you have to look at the circulating supply, total supply and so on to see if it's cheap or not.

A coin with a small total supply may be cheap above $10.

If I had to gamble some bitcoins, I would choose Litecoin, Stratis, LBRY, Monero... I guess.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto Portfolio - when will I be rich? on: June 28, 2017, 11:05:36 AM
You are pretty good positioned right now... it would be a shame if you lost your bitcoin in the altcoin market. With 21 BTC one should be rich in the next decade, somewhere along the way exponential growth should kick in. Of course the more the better, but probably the more you have the more prone you will be to sell.

I still don't see the point of Siacoin. Isn't it the same as Storj?

I have no idea about Gamecredits.

ETH and ETC both suffer from he same problems as far as I know, they don't scale.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So who of the original ETH dev team dumped a fuckton of ETH? on: June 27, 2017, 05:49:49 PM
Apparently, the GDAX Ethereum megaflashcrash was due some huge amount that came from the genesis block dumping all at once into the market and triggering this shitshow.

Apparently, the genesis block had 72 million premined coins that was kept between the developers (wtf)

Honestly, how isn't ETH anything but a mess?

What a selfish post... You really posted it? Why?

Selfish how? Im just pointing at an obvious problem: There's too much ETH in control of the original devs and we have seen what potentially is a massive dump by one of them or several of them.

Im not worried because im not holding any ETH, but if I was holding ETH, then i would be pretty worried.

If I understood correctly, 72 million out of 100 million is in the hands of very few. That's pretty retarded in my book.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 27, 2017, 03:53:49 PM
What are the odds to this fight? I dont really have a lot of knowledge in boxing, But as mush as I know Pacquiao is one of the best fighters out there

Haven't looked at the odds for this one yet, but Pacman should have the better odds to win. He has the experience needed for a guy like Horn. Horn may be undefeated, but his wins don't contain worldclass fighters yet. This may be the start of Horn to become a future fall of fammer tho... who knows.

http://boxrec.com/boxer/635000

It's his biggest fight yet, the fight that all boxers dream with to make the first step to become a recognized name, so he will be very hungry for victory.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 27, 2017, 12:09:48 PM
It's always cool to see undefeated fighters fight so I will see how Jeff handles Pacman, but the real fight im looking forward is the Golovkin vs Canelo, that is the best fight of the year in my book.

Of course Conor vs Mayweather vs it's a special event, can't miss that. No hate here, I think it will be cool to see how that develops. Im not buying PPV tho, will stream it, they get paid enough money.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 27, 2017, 11:52:22 AM
What Conor can do is ridicule Floyd in the ring, hurt his pride and the boxing fans' pride. If that happens and Conor loses, he still makes it look like a win, not only for himself, but also for MMA. It will make boxing look like a boring and dying sport.
It is true that Conor does not need to win the fight to hurt the boxers pride,he just need to stand and box till the 12th round and if he losses he just lost to one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time, that is a big win for Conor, the boxing community is laughing at this match and no one is giving any chance to Conor and everyone predicts a boring fight,i will support Conor to punch him once so that Floyd ass touches the ground,i just want that to happen for all the so called experts mocking MMA striking. Smiley

Well if Mayweather doesn't win convincingly, he can claim he is 40 years old and has been out of any training for 2 years, so he can claim that so save face too... at the end of the day all that matters is if you win or not, we all can make excuses.

If Mayweather was 28 years old like Conor, Mayweather would destroy Conor because Mayweather was KO'ing a lot of guys back in the day, he was a complete boxer.

The fight is interesting because of the age difference, because that gives Conor some chance, but nonetheless Mayweather has always taken care of himself, never did any drugs and never gets drunk, so he will be in top shape once again and will probably school Conor.

Does anybody know a good BTC sports book that offers props for this dog and pony show?  I'd like to make a few bets on McGregor to win and KO Mayweather for the lulz.  Someone mentioned Cloudbet, are there any other suggestions?

I don't know any sites, I was looking forward to gamble and bet on the fight happening but never found a place to do it at least with bitcoin.

As far as betting for a McGregor KO... I guess it's good to drop some small amounts on there, but I wouldn't count on it. Mayweather knows McGregor will try to go Aldo style on him, he will keep distance for the first round and analyze him, then proceed to perform surgery. I think Mayweather may even risk it and go for a KO if he is outboxing him.

But I don't count McGregor out... Mayweather is obviously the better box tho.

549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bubble is over ? What moves should i do ? on: June 26, 2017, 05:56:54 PM
It's seems everything is down and keep going down,
I buy 10k$ of BTC at 2375$ yesterday thinking that will be a good move as the price drop, but now i still thinking  Cry , the price keep dropping, everything is dropping  Embarrassed Cry .
I think i'm going to sell now and buy later at a lower price, do you think the price can go down below 2000$   Huh ?
What's buy order do you think will be great ?

Danm !! seems that it's going to be a hard correction  Cry

There's no way to predict where the price will be in the short term, you can only think long term. Right now it's $2393 in Bitstamp so I don't see why you are still panicking. Hold it out for a couple of months, otherwise you will be continuously on the verge of selling and trying to get in at that perfect price in your mind. Getting the perfect price is too hard, just keep holding and see what happens. If you are in this for the long term, then just be ready hold thought dips.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 30 days ago we had a similar crash. It went back up very quick. on: June 26, 2017, 05:14:00 PM
Yes, you are correct. We have a similar crash twice in the past month and one in June. And its very short lived indeed. But what I'm worried about this crash is that more and more investors are really seeing Aug 1 uncertain. They don't know what will happen to the bitcoin market after that date. So they are somewhat pulling back in terms of investing their money right now and maybe they are now selling chunks of their accumulated bitcoin. I hope I'm wrong.

What is expected? 1 August??

I don't get why people keep talking about august 1st. Isn't it clear that BIP148 / UASF will not create any forks? soft or otherwise. Why is people still panicking around this date? this is retarded. Looks like people have a delay in understanding concepts. Hopefully by near august 1st people realize it's fucking nothing.

If you want to worry then worry in October when the hardfork to 2MB mess thing begins.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 26, 2017, 04:32:14 PM
There's some recent footage out of Mayweather in the gym:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWxMrqx6PQM

The sparring footage is leaked because he didn't want any of the sparring sessions to be recorded, so I think it's some papparazi that got that view and recorded a bit.

He's still bulking to 154 so he doesn't have clean abs, the footage is also after hours of training, noobs are saying he is out of shape. Come august 26 and he will be cut at 154 and will be as sharp as always.

Conor needs to go for the KO quick if he wants to have any chances of making it.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Wallets.. urgh wallets :( on: June 25, 2017, 11:35:26 PM
You used to be able o use poswallet.com to hold tons of different POS tokens, but they are rebuilding everything up and will start adding coins again later on, so for now it's pretty stupid. I thought it was a cool idea to hold random shitcoins without having to download all the wallets in a single website, but they have delisted most coins. They say they will start adding coins back... hope it pumps again because im holding of these bags.

For ETH tokens, just get Parity. Don't bother with a full node, ETH is fucked and you can't properly download the entire blockchain, Parity is safe enough.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Way to Buy ETH, Litecoin, Waves? on: June 25, 2017, 10:25:21 PM
For ETH and LTC the best place to buy is Poloniex, for Waves, you can use its internal own marketplace after you deposited some BTC in your Waves wallet. Bittrex is also fine for all three coins but there they are asking for identification.

Why is Poloniex not adding Waves? Is it because it would be competition against themselves since Waves allows for their own exchange or is there some other drama that I missed?

Does this means projects like ARK or BLOCK will have problems being added in poloniex?
554  Economy / Speculation / Re: True or false: Ethereum is a bubble, bitcoin is not on: June 25, 2017, 10:10:56 PM
Ethereum seems to be crashing hard now. Vitalik is losing it on twitter lately with some strange tweets. Also, it is said that the flash crash that happened the other day, was a massive selloff that came from the genesis block, so it could have been Vitalik or one of the close friends that were at the beginning of the genesis block that got the insane amount of 72 million ETH... what a mess.
555  Economy / Speculation / Re: True or false: Ethereum is a bubble, bitcoin is not on: June 25, 2017, 01:37:32 AM
The grammar is not correct and it's very important for the context. "a bubble" means it is a bubble within itself, like the very thing is a bubble, in this sense "a bubble" is basically "a ponzi".

You should say "in a bubble", this means that the price is temporarily to high to what it should be.

In the first context, then yes, ETH is fucked in my book in it's very fundamentals.

As far as the price goes, I also think it's bubbled, but calling the top of a bubble is hard task, since some bubbles can take years to pop, so I can't just say to people to dump their ETH because who knows, it could it $1000 if the hype continues indefinitely.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Undervalue Coins that are low in market cap on: June 25, 2017, 01:02:35 AM
Xtrabytes is crazily undervalued at around 14m market cap. This coin once done will be a top 20 platform.

I agree with XBY tokens. Also, it is ERC20 tokens and it seems reliable one. Some other mention here are worth investing  or buy some of it and hold. Those undervalue coins, they have their days to shine also.

Can you explain what the value proposition of XBY is in a nutshell? Why would it go up? I have still not looked into this one but I keep seeing it mentioned and I want to know if it has some substance or of it's just another dumb pump and dump. Im losing it with so many tokens, trying to keep track of it all is driving me nuts, but there is no stopping the in cryptoland, got to catch them all.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Way to Buy ETH, Litecoin, Waves? on: June 25, 2017, 12:30:57 AM
If you already have the BTC, just create an account in Poloniex. In Bittrex they will ask you for full name, date of birth, place of birth, pretty much everything, and they check against public records too. It usually used to be the wild wild west, not anymore.

In Poloniex they ask for name but you can put whatever you want, they don't seem to care, but you can only withdraw $2000 a day so if you are a whale it's annoying. They dont have Waves tho.

Never used shapeshift.

Just check the fee rates on their respective websites.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Building a token on the Bitcoin protocol? on: June 24, 2017, 11:44:01 PM
I don't think you can if you mean what I think you mean.

In the future once sidechains kick in, people will be able to create their own tokens under the bitcoin blockchain, but not now. What I still don't know is how the price of those tokens would work. If they are pegged to the bitcoin price.. then how does a market can be possible with sidechain tokens?
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitmainCoin would mean another hardfork 1 year from now on: June 23, 2017, 10:20:30 PM
BitmainCoin proposes to raise the blocksize to "up to 8MB" now, but then on their roadmap they point to 8MB+, which means it would require another hardfork. They are so inconsistent in their reasoning, don't even mention that this would require another hardfork.

Jihan is the biggest troll in the game

Jihan should fork off finally

If you are interested why they are so inconsistent in their reasoning, proposals, or whatever, the answer is very simple. It is because they don't intend to implement for real anything what they talk about. That's one of the reasons why BU is so buggy. Its aim is not to substitute Bitcoin, it is there exclusively to hinder the development of real improvements like SegWit and Lightning Network. When looking for an explanation for all this stuff, you should proceed from this assumption, and then things can be seen in their real colors

I know that, but segwit2x is very real and they supposedly have 80% hashrate to hardfork. A hardfork is a hardfork. Be it segwit2x aka GarzickCoin or Frankensegwit, BUcoin, Bitmaincoin... they all suck. Not even one hardfork proposal. I would be ok with one that has all the cool improvements being researched that would require a hardfork, but not the dumb ass hardfork proposals being thrown left and right. I just hope BTC price doesn't crash in October when the hardfork drama comes back, im getting tired of this shit.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Satoshi Nakamoto Is Dead!!! on: June 23, 2017, 01:59:52 PM
The price would probably pump, because the fear of some guy having 1 million coins would not be there again. Some are worried that whoever satoshi is goes insane and dumps 1 million coins into the market and whatnot. But then again, his coins could be stolen.. so I think it would change nothing. It may be a non event, then again markets can act irrational so who knows. I don't think long term it would change anything.
