541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate just jumped from 105MH/s to 117 MH/s when... on: August 05, 2017, 10:22:48 PM
That is strange, first time hearing about smth like that. I have Intel Celeron G1820 on my rig, and my friend use fx-6300. We have some of the cards same and they give pretty much same hashrate
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cheap mining with big rewards on: August 05, 2017, 10:20:02 PM
Well I guess ETH has future, price will increase for sure after coin goes POS. Other than that, if you wish to see steady profit go for something with steady price. If you wish to gamble on coin that have future, you won't see much profit now. So you have to chose what you want to do.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BLOCKCHAIN BITCOIN PAYMENT DELAYED NOW FOR OVER 4 DAYS on: August 05, 2017, 10:17:43 PM
BLOCKCHAIN BITCOIN PAYMENT DELAYED NOW FOR OVER 4 DAYS

Are you sending BTC or BCH ? If you tried to send some BCH it's expected. A lot of people dumping and not many miners. If you are sending BTC it's next to impossible for something like that to happen. Only scenario I could run in my mind is that you had manual fee option and put something ridiculously low, but even then ...
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: First Indian Exchange to start trading Bitcoin Cash with Inr in India. on: August 05, 2017, 10:15:30 PM
Idk what they are thinking... It will take ages to confirm a transactions and how would BCH for fiat anyway ? That is just nuts
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Analysis: July 22 - 30 on: August 05, 2017, 10:14:09 PM
general rule of altcoins. When bitcoin price goes Up, altcoin price goes up. And with Ethereum whenever some news comes out about it going POS, you can notice instant price jump because ppl just want to hold as much coins as possible
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Reverses – Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018 on: August 04, 2017, 12:44:05 PM
I also received a mail form Coinbase about it.but they said they will give us BCC/BCH at january 2018,but why? why they taking such long time? I am a regular Coinbase user. I think when they give us our BCC this time the price of BCC will be $1 or $2 not more then.
fucking delay system of coinbase .

May I ask why you did not remove your money from Coinbase before the fork if you really wanted to claim your BCC?

you should know that there are many small investors who are not technically good enough to manage their own off line cold storage, or those not willing to move their valuables in rush to some other unknown exchange to them.

It is like you own a horse in a stable, as the horse got used to the environment and grow happily there, but the stable decided that any value added to the horse (might become a Grand National winner) is not supported and the stable owns the value. plain robbery!

It's not really a rocket science to hold bitcoins on something like electrum. There are plenty of tutorials online on how to do it and what to do.

For those that really wanted BCH and did not bother enough to claim them even though everyone explained like 100 times before the split what should you do, well they deserve to wait until January
547  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-03]University of Oxford Launches Fintech and Blockchain Programme on: August 04, 2017, 08:46:38 AM
It's great to see that universities started to adopt Blockchain but from what I have read looks like they will only focus on financial part, and blockchain technology could be used for much more.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Reverses – Plans to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018 on: August 04, 2017, 08:45:06 AM
I don't use Coinbase and don't care about them, but let me explain. It's not as simple for big companies with a lot of users to just add support for new coin. Other exchanges like cex.io prepared for like 10 day. I agree that january is a bit pushing it but anyway...
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Best OS for Mining. on: August 03, 2017, 07:14:21 PM
If you are used to working in windows chose windows. If you used linux chose linux simple as that. Anyways some pros and cons. Use Linux if you want more stable system (crashes, fucking windows updates etc.. ) or if you are running more than 6 GPUs, use Windows if you want ease of use, also it's much easier to track and fix your miner from remote with Windows.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gtx 1050ti can i start with this ? on: August 03, 2017, 07:11:55 PM
Nvidia cards are generally better at mining Zcash. Yeah you can start with that but I don't know if you really invested into them it will be a long time before you reach your ROI
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain.info for Bitcoin Cash on: August 03, 2017, 07:08:25 PM
As far as I know there is no online service offering you to clain Bitcoin Cash and maybe it's better that way. In order to claim it you will have to provide your private key, and do you really want to do that ? I suggest using something like http://www.electroncash.org/
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN I RECEIVE BITCOINS INTO MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET FROM ANOTHER BLOCKCHAIN WAL on: August 02, 2017, 07:19:04 PM
How can i receive bitcoins into my blockchain wallet from another blockchain wallet?

I don't really understand what the problem is here. Maybe you could explain it a bit more. When you say "blockchain" are you referring to blockchain.info ? if you do there is request button that will generate a new address that you can receive btc sent from any wallet.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Rig to your workplace on: August 02, 2017, 07:15:02 PM
The major issue with this is you're exposing your employer's network to unnecessary risks. As a laymen if I found some one mining they would be fired, immediately. If i just caught you with a GPU sucking a bit more juice than normal I'd probably just look at you funny. And think you were playing video games if I wasn't into mining. Which IMO wouldn't be a big deal unless I wanted to get rid of you.

For any of you having problem with heat in your homes...Fans are your friend.

They are rated by the amount of air by cubic feet so it's easy to find a fan that fits your needs exactly.

Cheap and very very effective solution to getting rid of hot air.

edit - and you probably have vents in your attic if you're feeling industrious. You can just link the exhaust right out of the house in the summer

How would you catch someone if GPU in his PC drains more electricity than normal ? Do you have a meter plugged at every PC and then manually checking power consumption ?
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still safe to hold bitcoin and should claim the BCC/H?Confused on: August 02, 2017, 06:23:15 PM
Thanks for the reply but i think for now i still keep to save bitcoin for safety than choosing to claim BCC..
I'll wait for the others will clarify the use of BCC since its still not supported by other exchange site..
And i heard some members here that they said BCC is altcoin that is why i confused..

Well BCC (BCH) is technically an altcoin. It's just a worse version of bitcoin. I don't really understand the logic of people using it. It's like having a choice between 2016 and 2017 model of a car and you chose 2016 because you somehow think it's better.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Helping Bitcoin users claim their BitcoinCash! It's worth $687 today! I can help on: August 02, 2017, 06:19:09 PM
If you are doing this for free good job ! If not, I don't think it's something that should be charged and btw it's explained by theymos here
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash needs miners BCH on: August 02, 2017, 06:09:13 PM
There are miners that don't care about profit but even for them, i don't understand why would anyone want to mine BCH. It's just worse version of bitcoin. No reason to invest your time and hardware into that. Even you (@OP) just want to dump it and make some quick buck
557  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-02] A Head Of Coinbase Explained Refusal To Support Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 04:58:34 PM
It's not like I use Coinbase but totally support their decision. Every major exchange should ditch BCC as I don't see why it exist and why the fuck should anyone support it as it's just worse version of BTC
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still safe to hold bitcoin and should claim the BCC/H?Confused on: August 02, 2017, 04:55:44 PM
Well I don't really understand how would you lose your money just by sending it to another address (on another wallet). theymos explained how to do it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2059111.0 and if you follow his tutorial you should be fine.
559  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 10 steam games for $2. on: August 01, 2017, 08:57:48 PM
What games are those ? What value ? I hope you didn't just buy any bundle for 0,99$ and you are selling it now...
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Rig to your workplace on: August 01, 2017, 08:56:45 PM
Bad idea.

1. How good is the physical security in your office e.g. gatepass for equipments coming in/out? You might be able to bring it inside the office but you may not be able to take it out.
2. That might be construed as "stealing" company resources. You bringing in a personal equipment and use company utilities for personal gain - electricity, space or computer space. You'll possibly face HR sanctions if your personal equipment is found out.
3. You'll introdude risk to your companies network infrastructure, opening network ports for mining, etc. What if a malware infects your company's computer/network system thru your miner?

If you are in control of your test PC lab and test internet network that is totally separate from production network and with no need to bring in a personal equipment, better, as that would minimize the risk to your company network and risk of an equipment being personally associated to you as well. Just run a test, not a miner running 24x7.

I really thought it was a Bad Idea but I'm an IT support in a corporate office and they issued me a new Desktop Tower that can be inserted high end GPU. What if I'm gonna bring just a single GPU card regardless on any noise of fans' running all day long or even 24/7.

Well if you can fit multiple cards in a single desktop case and noise is not a problem i'd say go for it. Idk if you have something like maintenance guy that could check that, but that could be potential problem
