you seem stressed. I wonder what you wanted to communicate with that double post.

dear grandpa sgbett.

It must have been an amazing post. Sadly you're ignored.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis and list of top big blocks shills (XT #REKT ignorers) on: January 22, 2016, 12:26:48 PM

This is frightening.

Are you aware that invalid forks with the longest chain can and do happen and they are ignored because they don't follow consensus rules?

Are you aware that miners can continue hashing all they want and if the economic majority of nodes disagree with their chain being valid than it is ignored and those blocks are orphaned?

Do you understand that the economic majority of nodes holds the power to dictate what chain is valid and whether a chain is longer or not is secondary to the consensus rules of these nodes being followed?

What's actually frightening to me that these people actually think they can take over Bitcoin.

We've talked about it many times. They've spent countless funds to propaganda and whatnot. Their days are counted. We are well entrenched,
they can't do shit to damage the system. They don't have the balls to actually do 51% attack.

They forgot to test the bailouts again?

I wonder why the system keeps crashing. LOL
548  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: January 22, 2016, 08:40:22 AM
I actually don't believe in Bitcoin much. I believe in Satoshi Nakamoto.

Call me traditionalist, smallblocker, ...
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Fork is not happening... on: January 22, 2016, 08:16:27 AM

I'd be lying if I don't find their posturing amusing though. They cry about censorship and feed off drama, meanwhile r/buttcoin makes them look like fools.

American rich kids.. They have nothing to lose. China gave them the middle finger, now they cry about it.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon is obsessed with Bitcoin and probably lurking on this forum on: January 22, 2016, 06:26:42 AM

He already invested in bitcoin startups and alike like Bitgold.

There are many elites that in public demonize bitcoin, but behind the curtain they all hoard it.

It's a very clever trick to even the odds and make sure you make money no matter what.

That's true they act like they want to crash it, but secretly hoard it, and of course next thing they gonna
do when the next crisis comes along they're gonna dump fiat to the face of general public (Zimbabwe dollar).

They're just scared shit less that general public will discover Bitcoin and it will go to moon sooner than expected.

It's inevitable.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon is obsessed with Bitcoin and probably lurking on this forum on: January 21, 2016, 09:02:03 PM

Bankers try to play both sides always , it's called hedging Cheesy
Maybe soros will hedge some pocket change too
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon is obsessed with Bitcoin and probably lurking on this forum on: January 21, 2016, 08:32:29 PM
so what's with this Jamie Dimon guy.

I keep hearing him in the news discrediting Bitcoin.

Not just once or twice... He's made statements
how many times now?  4? 5? 6?

You don't see any major banking executives
talking much about Bitcoin.  Some of them
are investing in Bitcoin startups even.

This Dimon guys seems obsessed.  I bet
he reads Bitcointalk.

I don't read this everyday (I'm not Dimon)

But you are right. These banker types are often obsessed.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: January 21, 2016, 08:24:22 PM

And even if this particular censorship instance is beneficial for us,  we still cannot use it. Because it can become a weapon against us in the future, so it would be hyporcritical to use it ourselves.

I know. I think we don't have much choice. These paid posters aren't going to simply disappear. I wish our systems survived until the Bitcoin gets a major boost from halving and also from the the fear of people at various stock markets and so on.

While there is a currency war between China and US we must be careful about every step we do.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So the bitcoin classic (2MB) coup was compromised? on: January 21, 2016, 08:14:23 PM
I'm not trying to be antagonistic, but there's a mechanism for handling consensus disputes built into the code.
While I can appreciate that there is a human element, it doesn't mean that changes should be vetoed by any minority that decides it's not on board.

What about we ignore your consensus?
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post: 'R.I.P. Bitcoin. It’s time to move on' on: January 21, 2016, 07:40:17 PM

Discredit to buy, large investors, they always use the same moves ..

and if they want to buy bitcoin also big investors .... something interesting is a bitcoin..

It keeps happening. I wonder what the tomorrow's news going to be.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Classic = a bunch of idiots running the full node on: January 21, 2016, 07:23:21 PM
maybe Core will add 2 MB and end this mess? that would be a cool story  Wink

2MB  + SegWit + LN etc would be great.

I think Core should add 2MB earlier than Classic then test the SegWit and give miner and service providers to update to the SegWit.

Yes this will happen. I'm looking forward 2MB and SegWit

558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon Hints "If Bitcoin Gets Big, Governments will Stop it!" on: January 21, 2016, 06:43:14 PM
What about this: If Governments get too big, we will stop them!
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis and list of top big blocks shills (XT #REKT ignorers) on: January 21, 2016, 06:35:32 PM

The word 'governed' probably has the wrong connotations.  Perhaps it is better to say that the "evolution of the network is decided by the code people freely choose to run."

The word governed is the correct world. This is what are you guys for? To govern Bitcoin?

Arguably, it is impossible to know with certainty what the current consensus rules are, other than by creating blocks and seeing if those blocks are accepted into the longest chain.  We can't know for sure what code the economic majority is running--we could ask them or they could tell us--but they could lie.  Proof-of-work is where we "put our money where our mouth is," as it were.

Go ahead grandpa. Mine that 8MB block today.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Classic = a bunch of idiots running the full node on: January 21, 2016, 03:38:38 PM

All you clasSick posters here on bitcointalk are really kind of like a rat infestation - Hard to control but do-able.

Like a cancer. A chemo can sometimes help, but still fatal.
