Ive been considering running different core speeds definitely GPU 2 that has the overheating issues.
Toms hardware did an article on the 5970 vrm's cooking themselves due to inadequate cooling compared to gpu1.

Will Try 900 and 850 tonight.
Actually, they would be labled GPU 0 and GPU 1, with multiple cards that could change. GPU 1, or core 2, is usually 3C hotter than GPU 0 so set fans and or temp target based on GPU 1, or core 2. Also note that in CGMiner you designate a core with comma separated values, so --gpu-engine 900,850 core 1, GPU 0, would be @ 900 and core 2, GPU 1, would be @ 850 engine clock. Hope this clarifies some what.

Y U NO LIKE JAVA ? Tongue

the Java vulnerability “is particularly pernicious, as it is cross-platform, unpatched on some systems, and is an easy-to-exploit client-side that does little to make the user aware they’re being exploited.”

Wasn't .4.1 deprecated because of BIP16?

Broadcast buy Bitcoin offers and sell Bitcoin offers over the Bitcoin network/in the blockchain. Accepted becomes a contract and then BTC moves to an escrow service (or an escrow coin) while bank money transfer info is sent to the seller either encrypted directly or via the escrow service. The goal, decentralize trading or exchanging.

If it's solar power you want then and your some one with non-traditional home, try Power Plastic. It could be included as part of your backpack or tent. Pricing is about $1 watt. They come in precut prewired sheets or if you feel all DIY buy a roll and wire it up yourself. This stuff is printed using inkjet printers and is pretty amazing, even converting low angle light sources.

You could try Kano's guide, or is it Kanoi, it's in his sig. Follow both the Kano and Kanoi guides.   Tongue

Does this fit the typical modus operandi for Jon, to start a thread and not reply?

Maybe what Jon really needs is True Hope!

Looking good so far. Do you have any pics of the other end of your watercooling setup?
548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tesla M2070...bitcoin generator? on: April 24, 2012, 10:10:33 AM
Like I said they were being marketed to CAD, architects, and engineers. People who were designing large complex structures, like skyscrapers, space shuttles which may have included stress testing or analysis of some type. The Nvidia website even had a picture of an engineering PC setup which included 3 teslas with no monitor outs along with one card that had a monitor out. I was looking into distributed hash cracking with software that could scale to 260 nodes and researched this fairly well. Unfortunately Teslas were outside of my affordability @ $1200 for one.
549  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mem's mining rig (beginner stages) on: April 24, 2012, 05:29:43 AM
1. Stop using Java, especially on W?ndows.
2. You have 2 GPU's in a 5970, find out which one is crashing the system and only downclock it. 900engine/300memclock is a normal mining setting for 5970's.
In CGMiner you can --gpu-engine 900,850 --gpu-memclock 180,260 Wink CGMiner can use Daiblo kernel with -k flag. WinkWink I think there are 5 various kernels in CGMiner.
3. The Asus P8x67 M-Pro mATX has 4 PCIe slots. Geeks.com just sold out of them @$66+Free shipping.

Because Bitcoin is, in their mind, not a currency yet, just some small trading fund to invest in, and they are right. Total Bitcoin value needs to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars before they're in, if it's not killed off by those who have Bitcoin by the short and curlies first.

Are those aluminum rigs inside dimensions 20"x14"?

P2Pool seems to be on a big ass run of bad luck. Figures that would happen after I shell out some bucks for a new server.

These shells? http://www.24shells.net/#cho2

Are you on VPS or Dedicated now? Maybe look at these also...

http://swvps.com/dedicated-servers.html

One of the above has dedicated servers starting at $34.95/month.

My settings for my 6850:
cgminer -o pool:port -k phatk -v2 -w 128 -g 1 -I 8 --auto-fan --temp-target 65 --gpu-engine 850 --gpu-memclock 1000

I get 15/1 longpoll/accepted and my DOA 8%
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [WINNER] GIGAVPS - Voted BEST Bitcoin Mining Rig Builder in the World [PIC] on: April 24, 2012, 03:44:10 AM
WTF with the Z-Beam shelving. You spend the time constructing these coolass rigs out of DIY aluminum tubing and connectors and then wuss out putting them on shelving. I can't believe you won for that halfway move.  Roll Eyes A couple more pieces of aluminum and connectors and the rigs would have been stackable without needing those crappy Z-Beams. Throw in some strategic lexan to direct the airflow and your rig would be Schweet.

Congradulations on the win.

555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Money Conf- Some feedback and pic on: April 24, 2012, 03:13:38 AM
Thanks for the updates Yankee.

Getting more people involved by making it more accessible within our current monetary framework is a good step for Bitcoin. This will definately increase Bitcoin awareness for sure. For the next level or step we need to be able to broadcast buy and sell offers, maybe in the blockchain with something like Namecoin along with Escrow services. This will move Bitcoin away from being a commodity or stock and towards becoming a currency that can compete against other FIAT systems throughout the world.

# apt-get install libskillz
hey! you already have that installed. are you trying to be a smart alec?
Check developer site again. Yep nothing. Email developer for help. Check copyright date at bottom of site, damn 3 years ago. Developer may have lost interest, crap.
What to do?

Hello,
I want superskillz-2.0 and have been trying to compile it but haven't had any success. The furthest I got was make with errors.

RE: Why don't you just download the binary, it's available you know.
Because I would like to learn how to use linux and the binary is not the latest up to date superskillz. I would like to have the latest superskillz available.
RE: There is plenty of information out there on compiling, no need to reinvent the wheel.
/**Huh???
I have googled and haven't found anything yet that helps me to compile superskillz-2.0.
What is needed to get this compiled?

/**6 days and no response. They must be ignoring me so I'll google it because they believe the answer is out there.
Bump
I've read the README and checked the developers website and there is no info. I even emailed the developer and he hasn't replied.
nuthrmember RE: I don't get into compiling stuff, I usually get programs from Synaptic, have you tried that?
/**WTF
Meanwhile...
Darth-apt-get: You will not make install, you will always be a dork newbwalker. And no, UbuntuOne did not kill your installer because I, apt-get am your installer. I can feel the hatred in you growing. Join me now and I will teach the ways of the compiling, but you must embrace your hatred newbwalker. Let your hatred move your keyboard through the wall and I will teach you things UbuntuOne never could.

Several weeks later...

Random guy posts in response to my compiling rant: Why not just use apt-file search? It will solve all of your problems compiling.
Code:
# apt-file search superskillz
opps! That package is not installed.
/**Not again! :shakes head: :sighs:

I would prefer no form of drug/stimulants were in my system at all. Not worth it.

Not even coffee or tea?
Coffee alone is nutritious, while coffee with milk is harmful. Wink It's a chemistry thing.
560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Insider claims mass arrests of Globalists, Bankers, Elite on: April 22, 2012, 06:16:21 PM
Here is a biblical Proverb that sums it up very well:

"There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness."

The way of an eagle in the air = United States
the way of a serpent upon a rock = The Catholic Church
the way of a ship in the midst of the sea = United Kingdom
the way of a man with a maid = The Bankers and or CEO's
