What kind of costs for that setup?  Also, can a windows person figure out how to use it or Phd. only?  Tongue

That is an awesome question, because in my real world job that is what I do.  I make complex processes easy to operate for workers with no letters after their name (to be polite both ways).

I chose Java for the interface so that Windoze, Mac, Linux and Android can use the interface (do people still use iPhones? it's so 2010). Tongue

The hardware is off the shelf.  You don't have to buy it from me.

A little project I am working on for myself...

Staking wallet hardware platform:
 - 3+ level verification
 - encrypted filesystem
 - VPN internet access
 - Encrypted backups
 - Zero configuration - add, migrate, and upgrade wallets.
 - Java multi-OS interface to monitor and perform transactions through RPC

Snapsot with blatant FLY Coin placement:

Let me know if you are interested in the project.

Well everyone, i am absolutely certain that my coins are irrecoverable.

I took a break from crypto for a few weeks because my cat had an extremely rapid decline in health. He died saturday morning. I felt terrible doing anything other than spending time with him in his final days so i shut everything down for the time being.

Sunday i decided to fire everything back up and move on. I wanted to get my mind off of everything..

My FLY wallet kept crashing so i took it upon myself to try and get it workig again.(which ive done many times before.) Accept this time i accidentally over wrote my wallet.dat file and like a dumb ass never made a backup.

DO NOT USE THE -SALVAGEWALLET COMMAND. It will overwrite your wallet.dat.

I'm out 125 FLY. Losing my kitty was terrible but based on these recent events I'm somewhat conditioned to "losses".

Im so insignificant here anyway, its not like i matter. Enough of my sob story because I'm sure none of you give a fuck anyway...

With this, for now, i bid you all farewell. Thank you to vegas and woody for being so aswesome. Hopefully one day I'll be able to buy back in.. until then. Its was good while it lasted..

Saying goodbye to pets is a hard thing to do.  Being there for the last moments is the best thing you can do.

I also just went through wallet hell today also.

I had several backups, but had a hard time getting any of them to work properly and restore my balance.  Rebuild the Blockchain from zero, the bootstrap.  Tried the exe from a version or two back.  Finally got my balance of Fly Coins back after using -salvagewallet.  It was finally the option that worked with a 1 month old back-up of the 1.7.7 version wallet.dat.

Just make sure you back-up your wallet before upgrading, and always work with a copy of your back-ups.

My computers run for months without touching them so I have to do a monthly backup and restart the wallets, just in case.

I also learned how to do avatars, so I picked a very handsome FLY for mine!   (Should have saved this for next week, lol)
LOL very nice FLY!
Will post updated list later tonight. Still can qualify thru Sunday 6 pm Pacific time (USA-Los Angeles time)
If you did not receive last weeks SupperFly distribution - PM Vegas. I checked and he said it went out this past Monday.

I didn't really "apply" for last week's superfly distribution because I had just qualified for it, and only because of the generosity of Vegas.

I didn't want to be greedy and turn right around with my hand out... I knew I could wait a week, lol

Thank you though!

I like your avatar and I d like to pass my Superfly reward reward to you. Pls post your Fly address so I can send a few coins to you.  Smiley Not joking.

Wow, that is very kind and generous of you--thank you!

Will pm you my address, as something is sticking in the back of my mind that we shouldn't post addresses in bitcointalk...??

Thanks again for your kindred spirit!!!

posting public addys can result in a thread being locked - true BUT you can have as many as you want in your sig  Smiley

Your address should already be in the wallet code on Github (additionalfee.cpp) so no need to post.

So Ive been watching the market the last few days. The main thing I see, is the same people selling every single stake to the exchange. The whole point of this coin is its a "long term hold coin". Its designed to hold for 1.5-2 years or longer. Every wise investor should take some profits from time to time. But there are certain people that sell every single stake to the exchange. This does not give the market a chance to recover. So begining this week, if you have sold ever single stake to the market, then  youll be disqualified from Superfly rewards. The goal of superfly rewards was to reward FLY supporters. By selling every single stake for weeks on end is not a way to support fly. So tweeting about fly and then dumping all you can is not supporting fly. Try a more moderate approach such as 1 week out of 5-6 weeks.

Vegas

I think it is their loss.  But the cool thing about posting the observation is that we now know that the steady feed of PoS going to the market is making the price of the coin atrificially lower than its actual value.

So the ones holding long term and/or buying PoS dividends are the ones that will gain in the end.

Are the SuperFLY rewards only paid to Main wallets?  That would be a good thing.  Selling off your SuperFLY rewards is counter productive and against the spirit of the coin.

My thoughts on the matter.

Here is my Twit world contribution.

https://twitter.com/MidnightMiner_X/status/687862625024249856

To jump in on something interesting I will send the equivilent of my SuperFly reward to a random less than 100 FLY holder from my POS.

Not sure how I will do this, but if you have less than 100 FLY and you have done your name claim and you have posted in this or the old forum... you qualify.

Random draw to be made a day or two after the SuperFly reward.  I will announce the winner in this forum.

Enjoy!

553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Credits Burn Thread | Updates and Discussion | BURN IS NOW LIVE! on: January 02, 2016, 05:32:15 AM
@intristin

Will you be using other exchanges that support coin burns in the future?

The current experience was not as smooth as it should be.  The platform is still in its alpha stages of operation

I know the operators of the exchange are working on fixing up the issues as they come about, and they are quick to respond.  Not saying they are doing  an unsatisfactory job.

I am thinking it would be a good plan to deversify and spread out the coin burn to other operators as well.  Just to keep things decentralized as it should be to ensure smooth flow of coins.  Since the time and handling of volume are critical in these types of coin exchanges it would be good to have the ability to deversify as needed.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Credits Burn Thread | Updates and Discussion | BURN IS NOW LIVE! on: December 31, 2015, 04:35:50 PM

They forward calculate the fee instead of reversing or deducting the amount on the converted coins.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Credits Burn Thread | Updates and Discussion | BURN IS NOW LIVE! on: December 31, 2015, 04:26:56 PM
Ok, the currently tally is 1,264,217 spacecoins burned, or 26.74% of the total supply. I think we can call this burn successful. Guys, there is 385,594 space still sitting in various wallets on the Burn Exchange. The Burn will go offline and the wallets removed in less then two days. Please check your accounts and either burn the space you have or withdraw it from BTCPool. Any SPACE left on the exchange that has not been swapped for Digital Credits will be destroyed when the wallet is removed. Swap them here by selling into the buy wall: https://btcpool.exchange/Market?pair=SPACE/DGCS Again, simply depositing space coins onto the exchange doesn't burn them, you have to sell them into the BUYWALL.

Everyone else, you have less then 48 hours to dump your space bags, the choice is of course yours. This is your very last chance.

There is an issue with the BTCPool exchange.

I cannot sell the last 5 SPACE.

For some reason you cannot sell your balance of SPACE coins, the sell amount must alway be ~ 0.5% less than the balance.

ya, you can't sell that small amount of coins as it wouldn't cover the fee. Buy a few hundred on Yobit, at current prices it's a guaranteed profit.

UPDATE : 1,864,945 space have been burned!

The issue was I started with 100k, but I could not sell 100k, so I entered 90K, and that worked.

For the last 10K i poked around with the amount until it would take my SELL order, and was left with 5 SPACE sitting in my balance.

There is a problem with BTCPool exchange.

@intrisin

This is an interesting project tied to your DGCS coin.

I am going to join in the SPACE coin burn and see how this project folds out.  If all goes will I will be around to support your coin in more projects.

A real test to the SPACE coin is if it stays on the exchanges after the burn.  it will be interesting to see if the burn has helped stranded bagholders or created a new market for someone.  Either scenario is a win for the DGCS.  It is up to BTCPools to ensure burned coins stay burned.

All the best.

Posting negative is soo easy on this medium.

I fall victim to it all the time.

But, if you are around long enough (>1 yr in BCT and other crypto forums) you learn about the traits of some of the characters around here.  These forums are not the most efficient means of conversation, but they do keep the history, and that is convenient for doing a little background research on the personas that you come across.

This coin / team of people are moving in the right direction.  There are other coins and teams doing good things also, and I am following there projects also.

In my opinion there is a future in this market of crypto, we need to help define 'it' and the furture of the market with our actions.

Thanks MM, in our next update , we have already fixed the sync issues, and added a VERY powerful wallet repair command called -zapwallettx as talked abiut here. This is the most thorough wallet repair tool when wallet repair and -rescan have failed.

Vegas

Opps!  I keep forgetting to check and submit issues on GitHub for FLY wallet.

Next time I will remember...
