541  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it fall? on: September 03, 2017, 11:59:33 PM
Bitcoin has fallen after reached $5000 mark, and bitcoin already drop back few times during the way to $5000.
If you keep wondering when the best time to buy bitcoin, buy now. Bitcoin will not drop to $3000 instantly without any problems affecting it, such as terrible hard fork or a big exchange get hacked. Well, I believe bitcoin will recover to $5k again, soon or later but there is possibility to reach over $5500 in this month, buy now or you may regret if bitcoin start to climbing again. I guess bitcoin may fall by the end of October if segwit2x hard fork still on progress to be activated.
542  Economy / Economics / Re: “The future of Money” Whitepaper on: September 03, 2017, 05:04:50 PM
Good luck for your idea.
Good luck to convince a country to full adopt digital currency without traditional paper money, especially using your blockchain version.
For the first time, I thought you talked about bitcoin, but it was not. So, this blockchain could adopted by every county?

We now have the technology.  A blockchain based national cryptocurrency, directly created, controlled and operated by the central bank, which keeps its independence from elected officials will permit friction-less trading by all participants with transparent transactions.

Do you think a centralized digital currency could create an opportunity to increase the value of a 'fiat currency' and surpass bitcoin?
Maybe a country desperate looking a way to compete with bitcoin, and it turns out could achieved using your blockchain?
How a digital currency which controlled by central bank could keep its independence from elected officials or can not be manipulated?
543  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-02] Two Big Tests For Bitcoin on: September 03, 2017, 01:18:11 PM
Bitcoin, the digital currency that has turned into the new “gold” among investors and traders around the world, is in for two big tests. The first test is simple, and involves Bitcoin’s price chart. The digital currency must overcome the barrier of the $5000-mark, which it already crossed last night before pulling back towards the $4800-mark.

The second test is more complicated. It involves the actions of big governments that have been following with great unease the rising in popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that threaten to abolish their monopoly in creating money and collecting seigniorage income.

I am wondering why the first test is reach $5000 mark Huh Why not $10K? Grin Whatever it is, bitcoin will achieve that in 2-3 years later.
Investors should know and aware of bitcoin capabilities, from cents to $5K within 8 years is a fantastic achievement for digital currency, and the way bitcoin as p2p decentralized make sure govs can not control it but only issues regulation whether to allow bitcoin or ban it.
But, look at the first world countries, they are planning to legalize bitcoin such as Japan and South Korean already did. Bitcoin brings many advantages for citizens and wouldn't harm fiat currency obviously.

545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Insider Trading on: September 02, 2017, 12:10:22 PM
Developers? They maybe know what will happen about the development of bitcoin, which one will be implemented or not, just like segwit2x hard fork.
Look at unconfirmed transactions https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions that have decreased after segwit activated.
Miners have big role and may influence bitcoin price as they hold big portion of bitcoin, generated by mining activity every day, 24 hours and 7 days a week. But, 2 suspect which could manipulate bitcoin price, decide to buy and sell at he right time are big whales and exchanges. Exchanges could set certain price at their will, if they want to sell BTC100-BTC500 at one time when bitcoin reach $5000, in the next hour, the price will decline to $4700.
They are insider traders, exchanges itself.
546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: whats the best cloud mining website currently on the web ? on: August 31, 2017, 12:18:45 PM
they survived this far because of those hidden fee.they keep survived as long as a new costumer buying their contracts.
so think about it again and again

Obviously, most cloud mining could run because many people believe will get profits, but I am very skeptic about that.
How if no one trust them anymore, who will pay those people who already invested and still not achieve ROI?
The idea of cloud mining is very simple. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on Bitcoin mining hardware, you can pay someone to lease their hardware and keep the profits to yourself. The company that rents out the miners takes care of the maintenance and all of the hassle of setting them up.
However, you are required to pay a fee for their service but we’ll get to that in a minute.

https://99bitcoins.com/genesis-cloud-mining-review-scam-legit-investment/
If you invest $170 on genesis mining and expecting to get small payment every week/month, it takes 4-6 months before ROI.
The point is, you wasted the potential of $170, if you invest $170 in bitcoin and wait 4-6 months, it will grow 30%-70% for sure.

548  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: August 30, 2017, 02:46:26 PM
Few ways I know of:

- Just hold btc

- many altcoin air drops is based on BTC like stellar and byteball, the more BTC you have more you will get free coins.

- trading, one of my friends does full time trading with Bitcoin and alt coin.

Hold bitcoin is a good thing but in some cases, you'll miss great opportunity to purchase more cheaper coins at the dips, only if you sell at the peak and buy back some time later. But, we don't know for sure when it will be the highest price before get corrected. At least you should depend on your prediction based on current situation and the latest news about bitcoin development.

Indeed, altcoins air drops just like free money, don't forget to add bitcoin cash into your list. Some people who have more than BTC50 in their wallet should enjoy another free 50 bch, sell it at $1000 and they get $50,000 free money.

I do not recommend for newbies to trade bitcoin-altcoins, you could start with bitcoin-fiat but this is a risky way to get profits as many people loss in their way through trading.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin top 5000$ on: August 29, 2017, 11:39:05 PM
not long time bitcoin price can reach 5000 dollar
maybe next month september, bitcoin price can reach over 5000 dollar

about bitcoin price 500k dollar, iam not believe and imposible bitcoin price can reach 500k dollar,

Probably we will hit $5,000 in the first week mainstream media is starting to report bitcoin in a daily manner. People will rush to this goldmine

Indeed, bitcoin has reached new ATH $4650 and still persist above $4600 right now, and remember; segwit has just been activated few days ago.
Segwit is a big deal, we can send big amount of bitcoin and just pay low fees righ now, I am so happy about it.
It is a good scale solution, hopefully all of the exchanges and wallet platforms will support segwit transactions through P2SH addresses.
Then, the Bulls will run unstoppable to $5000 in this week.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: August 29, 2017, 10:46:40 PM
We soon have Bitcoin with SegWit and Bitcoin Cash just debuted this week with 8 MB block size.

Whats the future and the use of Litecoin at current? I'm expecting Bitcoin Cash to get support and functionality within the coming months that Litecoin never managed in its ~8 years of life.

Why are people still investing into Litecoin?

Bitcoin with segwit is the biggest development right now and look at the price, over $4600 which bitcoin has reached new ATH https://news.bitcoin.com/markets-update-bitcoin-skyrockets-to-4650-setting-new-all-time-high/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications, even though not all of us could enjoy segwit due to wallet devs still doesn't update new wallet that support segwit. On the other hand bitcoin cash seems declined in the last 24 hours, around $576 and will continue to decrease if many people want to move their funds into bitcoin. But litecoin sould survive sofar and gain more value righ now compare to few days before. Litecoin has advantages and cheaper price which is always used as trading object, that's why it still stand up until today.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ICO Advertisment on: August 29, 2017, 04:00:11 PM
Hey guys,

more and more I see ICO which are being conducted without even mentions on Bitcointalk. How do this ICOs are attracting investors and from where are they getting all the investors?

Does anyone have an Idea about it?

Greetings!

There are a lot of money in circulation, from all over the world, many rich peoples or people who trying to be one of them.
And, sometimes people just confuse where to invest their money, or just want to diversify it into different objects.
With all of those money, no wonder ICO could get so many investors and huge funds involved.
But, the main thing is; people know which projects will be beneficial and worth to invest.
552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New at this , where should i invest my money ? on: August 29, 2017, 02:59:06 PM
Hey, i'm new at this crypto issue,i used to invest in the stock market

Welcome  Grin, hopefully you enjoy in here.

and now i want to invest around 10k-15k in few coins (bitcoin, dashcoin, ripple)
how do i start ?

why you choose to invest in dashcoin and ripple? You should learn and find out about these coins potential, not bad at all.
I have no doubt about bitcoin, but do not buy it at the peak, I guess bitcoin price will fall in October. But, if you don't want to miss current rally, you can invest now and sell it if you have certain % of profits.

there are any recommended companies?
Thanks!!

I am not sure there is a company to manage your funds, trade it for you.
But, there are some new projects to invest, if they can make it works, successful, then you may get big portion.
I prefer to trade by myself, choose between coinbase, kraken, bittrex to do it. You can check it this site : https://bitpicker.io as comparison between exchanges.
Google may help about which exchange is perfect for you.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KICKICO or KICKCITY on: August 28, 2017, 11:54:40 PM
Kickico is okay.. Honestly, looks like a scam..

I think the best crowdfunding/crowdsourcing ICO project is Crowdholding so far.
At least, their run the platform since February

Well, you'd better provide more information, many reasons instead of just stated it as scam without legit evidence, or you just want to spread fud.
KickICO has great idea and solid devs team, already have their product and pre-sale succeed which collected 5000 eth.
ICO sale start yesterday and feel free to review this project, as far as I know; there is no problem about it.
554  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-28]Bitcoin Core Developers rejected to include code SegWit2x in protoco on: August 28, 2017, 11:23:24 PM
Core developers aware of any problem that may occur if segwit2x hard fork be implemented.
But, I think this problem should be can be solved through consensus which segwit2x has gain over 92% support from the miners.
Then, core develoers stated don't want to give more power to miners, not sure what it means but if segwit could resolve bitcoin problems regarding high fees and confirmation time, then no need to another hard fork. At least, we still have 2 months before segwit2x hard fork will be implemented, at this period, segwit should be able proven itself as reliable scale solution.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 28, 2017, 10:16:03 PM
there is a pretty good and detailed documentation available for bitcoin here: https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-documentation
there are also some additional links at the bottom. start reading them and if you encounter some questions use google or check out stackexchange for answers. and if you didn't find it through searching you can always ask here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0

if you want to make your own altcoin there are some guides: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225690.0
although it is best to have some understanding first before jumping to the end.

This forum is great resource to get more information about bitcoin, just using search function in the right board such as mentioned above and this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0 might be help.
Usually, if I have some basic questions about bitcoin, just check on this : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/ there are a lot of information in there such as Technical articles, Protocol specification, Bitcoin Improvement Proposals, Software, mining, etc.
556  Economy / Economics / Re: How many can resist selling off their BTC for huge profits? on: August 28, 2017, 04:08:09 PM
What percent of people do you think are able to resist selling their BTC when confronted with huge profits they've obtained.  Say 500% or more even?

500%? No one I guess, most people will take 100% profit from initial capital, moreover if someone could obtain more than that.
Because bitcoin prices like bubbles which mean it always fluctuate, after reach highest peak, its price will fall down to uncertain point.
That's why, selling bitcoin in order to get profit is a good choice, and we can buy back after bitcoin drop back.
But, I do not recommend to sell all of your bitcoins at once, because there is possibility the price will continue to rise.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Choosing an Exchange, How and Why? on: August 28, 2017, 02:56:45 PM
I prefer local exchanges over trading platform like kraken, poloniex or bittrex because it's easy to deposit fiat currency and withdraw directly to your bank account through local exchanges. On the other hand Shapeshift is a good platform, trusted and reliable because this company does not collect personal data on its customers and never collecting customer funds into company accounts, no emails or passwords, no lengthy signup process, no accounts, no bid and ask orders, although it offer high fees for exchange transactions. How do I choose? From customers reviews obviously, as they are trusted source based on their experience using those exchanges. If you want to trade, go to trading platform, if you want just exchange your coins, go to shapeshift.
558  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scam site investment for august 2017 on: August 28, 2017, 01:15:46 PM
Please be aware of the sites microhash.net yesterday the server goes, down. Bitlake.biz and Bitwest.biz stops paying, while these 2 server is up dont invest on this site. For awareness i've been there. For bitcoin investors always check and observe or google review the site or find the hyipmonitor please update scam sites as early as possible.

Actually, this is a good idea if you constanly maintain this thread with the new update of scam sites.
Most people in this forum, especially for experienced people knows to detect scam sites.
But, this is a good source information for newbies as they are the most victims due to these scams, simply because they are looking for easy money.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin go to 5000$ after SegWit activation? on: August 27, 2017, 11:57:55 PM
Segwit has activated, but no-one is using it. That's because most wallets are not segwit compatible. To use segwit you need to transfer your coins to a segwit address (incurring a transaction fee) and then send using that segwit address (incurring another transaction fee). It's too much hassle so people are just sending using the old system.

I think that people desperately complaining about transaction fees will make the switch once Segwit wallets are rolled out (at least if they can do simple math). Should be soon, at least for Electrum and Trezor, which covers a lot of users. Nobody should have expected that the effects of Segwit's capacity increase would be immediate.

People are rightfully being cautious moving funds to the new address type, and it takes time for wallet providers to do final testing on the mainnet. A little patience should go a long way here.

For those who using electrum and trezor should wait a little longer until wallet developers launch the new update which suitable for segwit transactions.
Yes, transfer all of your coins to the new address will takes high fess due to old wallet (start with 1) because we should pay 400 satoshi/byte for classic transactions. I recommend to wait for segwit transactions become more stable which may influence higher fees.
But, I am sure bitcoin will reach $5000 after this wallet problem ended, maybe in few days later.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy MONERO? on: August 27, 2017, 11:02:32 PM
Monero offers anonymity for your transactions which is suddenly gains more investors and reach over $130 right now.
Consider IRS already spend a lot of money over $88,700 to tracking bitcoiners who avoid taxes using a tool named chainalysis.
https://news.bitcoin.com/irs-crackdown-tracking-bitcoiners-with-chainalysis/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications
Then using monero and zcash become good options in order to avoid IRS tracking Grin
