5401  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Problem setting up Ledger to connect through Bitcoin Core on: February 26, 2022, 07:03:48 PM
I am surprised that Ledger hasn't fixed the problem by because of how many updates have been released since the version that worked.  Makes me wonder why.
Ledger is major crap for just about anything more serious, so don't expect them to fix this any time soon.
They don't care about Bitcoin or full node support, they are more focused on adding new shitcoins, nft, partnership with watches, celebs and other mambo jumbo like that.
If you want to run full node with your hardware wallet go directly with Bitcoin Core software.
5402  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Choosing network type for sending bitcoin to my electrum wallet on: February 26, 2022, 06:54:32 PM
But I dont know which type of those netwrok I should choose??
You didn't mention what wallet or exchange you used?
There is only one Bitcoin network, and all other fake tokens should not be considered as bitcoin, they are all centralized especially one you mentioned bsc on binance chain.
For lightning network you better have your own node and open channel for accepting such transactions, that is great if you want to save on fees.
5403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why there's no Bitcoin Dapps? on: February 26, 2022, 04:24:00 PM
The process is simple and you don't need to pay any fee, however there's a risk of fake sites that can steal our coins.
You have to pay very high fees in ethereum (much higher than in Bitcoin) for doing anything, and it's even higher if you are using those crap dapps or fake dex exchange called uniswap.
This makes most of this dapps unusable in real life for regular users, and only whales  or Vitalik friends with premined coins can use them for manipulation and profit.
Only way for bitcoin to use somthing like dapps is with some second layer or sidechains, and we already saw few of them release but I am not interested at all.

It sounds cool right when you can use a DEX while your coins still on your non custodial wallet and you don't need to pay transfer fee, we only need to read the whole rules and permissions before connecting the wallet.
It's not really a dex if it runs on centralized server or vps.
Only real decentralized exchange is Bisq and you can even used it for trading with fiat money.
5404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Linux Vs windows OS security on: February 26, 2022, 04:11:41 PM
I read online that Linux OS is much more secured than windows OS so how about running a crypto wallet on Linux OS instead? Anyone running wallet on Linux OS on here? .
Linux is much better than Windows for several reasons, and main one is that everything is open source and code is available for anyone to see and contribute.
Most malware is made for windows with executable files that simply won't work in most Linux operating system.
There is small elarning curve when you first start to use Linux, but most of the things are very similar with Windows OS.
I tested many crypto wallets in Linux and they are working without issues, maybe for some of them you will need to install extra packages, like for example in Trezor Suite.
Downloading wallets should be complied or downloaded in specific package like deb, but good thing is AppImages that can work across all Linux operating systems.

Vikings: Valhalla  100 godina iza ragnara
Stavio sam u bookmarks, a neki dan sam gledao novu sci-fi seriju Severance, ima dobar rating na imdb, glavni glumac Adam Scott a pojavljuje se i Christopher Walken.
5406  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: QR codes vs NFC in Bitcoin Wallets on: February 25, 2022, 02:00:39 PM
Please do and if possible keep us posted, I'm really interesting to see if it really does work in the way that they claim! If it does, and considering that it's actively being development, this could be a serious option to consider if needed in the future.
I did basic testing and I can see this program can generate many other barcodes along with QR code with IDO 18004 and HIBC, there is also UPNQR, Micro QR code, rMQR, that look very similar.
Difference compared with QR workshop is that Zint Barcode Studio can't read and decode QR codes from images.
5407  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCPayWall - The Bitcoin Paywall to sell Content and Digital Goods on WordPress on: February 25, 2022, 01:45:38 PM
Try the BTCPayWall for yourself on our demo page: https://btcpaywall.com/btcpaywall-demo-page/
I tested demo page and it works fine but I think there is a lot of room for improving, maybe reducing the size of font and adding better graphics.
Price for website integration is €249 and I think that can be reduced or maybe you could add several tier packages with lower prices.
I can't really compares your wordpress extension with other alternatives I never used, but I see there are free options available that work with woocommerce and btcpay.
5408  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite Update, February 2022 on: February 25, 2022, 01:36:06 PM
I don't see anything new and special in this update, adding custom home screen even is not something I would use, but this is the first main release that removed AOPP.
Everyone else who opted-in for pre-release updates in Trezor Suite received same thing since v22.2.1 release.
I think they should focus more on adding new features and improvements like CoinControl and CoinJoin.
5409  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How to prevent if The Trezor release new firmware update to steal Bitcoin on: February 25, 2022, 01:29:20 PM
For example, Trezor captured by regulator and regulator wanna confiscate all people Bitcoin.
They will release a new firmware update to steal all people Bitcoin.
How to prevent that? Use 2 Trezor?
Confiscating trezor or any other hardware wallet is not needed if they find (or you give them) your seed words backup.
You can somehow improve safety of your funds by adding multiple passphrases and creating fake decoy account with smaller amount of bitcoins.
Multisig with other hardware or software wallets could also be one of the options but it adds extra layer of complexity and it's meant for storing larger amount of coins.
5410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is better on: February 25, 2022, 01:14:44 PM
If you are given two choices to choose from Azbit and coinsbit exchange which one will it be? I've not use any and I'm having difficult time passing KYC verification on coinsbit exchange but I want users experience about these two exchanges.
I would not use any of them and I would especially avoid sending them any identification documents and passing kyc procedure.
Never heard about Azbit exchange before but I see that Roger Ver is allegedly their ico advisor and he is probably working with them.
I heard many complains about coinsbit before, I am sure they also have fake trading volume, and rating for Azbit is very low on coingecko website.
5411  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How safe is hardware wallet for real on: February 24, 2022, 08:21:29 PM
Hello everyone I want to know what we considered hardware wallet as the safest option to keep your crypto safer because to use hardware wallet you need to insert them to a computer and connect to the internet, secondly you need to write down your backup file somewhere...
Hardware wallets are not directly connected with internet and usb connection is done in secure way, it's not like regular usb connections.
There are even some air-gapped hardware wallets like Keystone who don't even any connection with other devices, except with QR codes.
More important thing than hardware wallet devices is the way how you keep your seed phrase backup on paper or metal plate.
If you import those words online on some phishing website you can't blame anyone but yourself for being dumb.
5412  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: February 24, 2022, 08:10:43 PM
However, your argument that the Nano S Plus shouldn't be bought because it's untested can be used for any hardware wallet or any piece of equipment that is brand-new. It can't be tested before it's developed and released to the general public. So, I would like to expand on your thought process and say that you shouldn't buy any new hardware wallet by Ledger, Trezor, Passport, (insert company name), for at least a few months to a year to give those who know what they are doing enough time to test it and try to break it. Those who can do it themselves, even better.
I have the right to say what I want and I have valid reasons for my claims based on experience with their previous models of this company, especially model X that is very similar with upcoming S plus model.
I also don't recommend buying upcoming Coldcard mk4 that is not open source, and I even said similar thing for other hardware wallets, so I don't need to repeat that every time.
This is Ledger topic so I am speaking about ledger devices, and rushing to buy brand new device from whatever brand is not some I would so myself until I see some reviews.

This is a general concept: if there was more collaboration of HW wallet manufacturers and developers, it would be possible to create a 'master firmware' for hardware wallets that everyone, also new companies, could use & hit the ground running. Beneficial for (new) businesses and users.
It's not a bad idea in theory but it just wouldn't work in real life.
People have different ideas and sometimes they can start working together but split latter down the road.
I heard that coldcard has only one active developer, so it's just one man who doesn't want to work with others.

5413  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: February 24, 2022, 07:33:07 PM
Interesting, but it's an esim so unless you can get one of the listed phones anonymously it can still be tied back to you.
You can just buy any used smartphone that supports eSIM, for example Google Pixel 2, or newer models, some Huawei, Samsung, Oppo or other models.
Even some computers are supporting eSIM, like Microsoft Surface, Acer Swift, HP Elitebook, some Lenovo Yoga models, etc.
I never used it myself but I think it's great for privacy and good use case for Lightning.
5414  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: February 24, 2022, 07:19:10 PM
It adds an imgur button that uploads your local file and appends the url inside a img tag.
This looks amazing and it's very useful for fast image upload, so this means we are going to see extension update between suchmoon and tryninja?
How about adding one more thing to BPIP extension reporters badge userscript created by mprep recently.

https://www.pcshop.hr/10-popusta-za-placanje-kriptovalutama/11/blog/

Protis.hr isto ima 10% popusta za plaćanje kriptovaluta Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar, Ripple, Tether, USDC, Bitcoin Cash, EOS i DAI.
Partner im je isto Paycek Electrocoin.

Znate li još neke naše slične web stranice koje nude popuste za plaćanje kriptovalutama?
5416  Other / Meta / Re: TheBitcoinTalkShow - 5 feb - Bitcointalk was hacked on: February 24, 2022, 06:20:18 PM
The decentralised nature of an alternative will likely work against in terms of money making potential, and therefore popularity.
It doesn't have to be like that.
Youtube reached it's peak for sure and I think it's going to fall down in future like everything did in history, and something new will show up instead.
Nowadays almost nobody knows about AOL, Netscape and similar services but they ruled for years in the beginning of the internet.

That's why I suggest direct Bitcoin donations similar to Breez.
But staying on YouTube for the beginning at least, does make sense. Cross-posting to another site would be possible at the same time though, should be possible.
It's totally possible, and I know some people are using special services so everything is automatic and all they have to do is to upload video and select platforms they want.
I am not sure if you can find PeerTube there, but I know Vimeo, Twitch and other platforms are supported.
5417  Other / Off-topic / Re: Trying to secure my PC on: February 24, 2022, 05:54:42 PM
Is there any strong antivirus I can use to safeguard my PC from malware? I have few coins that runs wallet only on PC but it's very easy for PC to get compromised that's why I'm looking for a safer tool that can fight Trojans and malwares.
Antivirus is not magical protection against malware, and they often can't protect you against phishing, clipboard threats or from your own mistakes while browsing internet.
If you want to secure your coins you can use separate offline computer, it can be cheap old laptop or desktop computer with Linux OS, Raspberry Pi or hardware wallet.
It's very rear to see antivirus for Linux so I would suggest switching from WiDd0ws to free open source Linux OS, but if you don't want to do that try with Malwarebytes free version.
5418  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Irresponsible trust wallet support on: February 23, 2022, 06:59:29 PM
is there any open source multi-coin wallet?
Thanks for the informative response. I'm not a big fan of altcoins anymore.
If you are not a fan of altcoins why are you than still asking for multi-coin wallet?  Cheesy

I haven't heard about the Unstoppable wallet before. Seems like there isn't large userbase of this wallet. I have installed it and the wallet looks really great. But Unstoppable wallet doesn't support TRX. Maybe, there is no open source wallet available for TRX now.
You have one more open source option that support trx shitcoin along with Bitcoin and other coins, but it's also working as decentralized exchange with atomic swap.
This is probably better option for you than Unspppable wallet, and you can use it on desktop and mobile devices as beta version, but please do your own research before using any wallet:

5419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Labs (LND) associated with WEF? on: February 23, 2022, 06:46:17 PM
So, I found out today that Lightning Labs, the company (?) behind LND and other products, is apparently associated with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
WEF parasites infiltrated everything so it's no surprise you see them connecting with LND and maybe some other Lightning and Bitcoin related projects.
If you want to see if something is deeply connected with them do a search on their website, you will find countries, politicians, even executive board member of ethereum foundation Aya Miyaguchi is part of that wef religion.
They obviously want to track and control everything and you can also find wef page for Chainalysis with several connected posts:

5420  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: February 23, 2022, 06:15:02 PM
Anyone used this silent.link website for purchasing anonymous eSIM and getting burner phone number?
It looks interesting, pricing is reasonable and most important thing is they accept payments in Bitcoin and Lightning Network, without using any kyc or email address registration.
This could be a good option for privacy if your smartphone is supporting eSIM option, or just for testing and using LN payments Wink

https://silent.link/

I see they are using BTCPay Server for accepting paments.
