Does anyone know when the new website is coming out?
Do you want the Butterfly Labs estimate, or my usual "sometime before August 30th, 2015"? :-P Oh God. can we quote Hitler, or show pictures of decapitations or anything not as disturbing as mentioning BFL?

Note that with mixing on the block chain, e.g. Cryptonote, Monero, Zerocoin, authorities can compel you to reveal your private keys and unwind the anonymity, e.g. you end up with some physical asset or fiat system asset which you can't be anonymous on. It shows you paid for it with mixed coins.
Also mixing that is off the block chain, e.g. CoinJoin, DarkCoin, Tor, I2P, authorities can compel you to reveal your inputs and outputs.
But what if there was a way where the authorities could compel you to release everything and they still couldn't break the anonymity.
Now that would truly be an anonymous coin.
Sounds a bit like a teaser.

Android app for cryptonote trading Hello guys! I made an Android app - Cryptonote Bitcoin! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cryptcoins.cryptonote- Trade cryptonote coins on HitBTC and Poloniex and get profit; - Check your balance on exchanges; - Nice widgets will inform you about last trades of cryptonote coins to bitcoin; - See your active and trade history on HitBTC and Poloniex; Will be waiting for your feedback! Sounds interesting, but my feedback is: I am supposed to type my exchange password into an app on a phone for which there is no source code, and no trace of where it sends that password?

why you allow to play to id in one computer ?
What does this mean? Can you rephrase, I don't understand. I would bet he meant "two IDs on one computer". But I still dont quite understand the question.

"Securing Freedom through Privacy" - Google Latin "Praesent libero per Securitate" "Securing Financial Liberty through Privacy" - Google Latin "Aliquam erat volutpat Securitate libertas" Along these lines? Securing can be changed to Secured if this doesn't flop Realized how bad we need a new language, words like Freedom and Liberty have been thrown around loosely. Well, if the logopoesy of priquiditas is too whimsical (XMR R SRS CO1N), I would suggest " sine secretum non libertas " Excellent, it is simple and captures the fundamental essence of the project. I might even put my sig in latin.

Here is the URL for Google Hangout. If you have a Google account, you can already announce you will attend it or share the link. A Google account WON'T be necessary to watch the video, but it will be for leaving comments on YouTube. If you also want to ask a question with the Q/A feature (as opposed to asking on #monero-dev) you will also need a Google+ account (new Google accounts automatically have Google+ activated, but older one might not). Monero Fireside Chat #1About Q/A: We activated the Q/A feature of Google Hangout on Air. You will have the opportunity to ask questions on Google Hangout on top of the regular #monero-dev questions. When a question asked on the Google Q/A platform will we answered, an anchor will be created on the video so that future viewers can go straight to the answer. When you click on the play icon and it goes to a large player on the right I see saddambitcoin's avatar which is just a picture of Saddam Hussein. Now *I* know why that is there, and who it belongs to... but for those who do not, do we wish to have this face associated with the project? He would be the definition of a controversial figure. No offense meant to saddambitcoin.

This thread and idea are fun and inspirational.
I am posting to send kudos to Risto, and to those who get it (and give it away). And I am posting to "subscribe". It makes me happy to watch...

It was interesting to me to see today when monero made it's current attempt at a bottom there were several of us in the poloniex trollbox. I can only assume some of you were there for the same reason as I.

Decrease in pumping potential of every new "short POW -> POS" scam with privacy vaporware is not insignificant. They may just die off relatively quickly altogether.
Thank God for small mercies. I was worried that I would have to buy tights and a batmobile. Pretty sure now that you've said it you WILL have to. Pics. Soon.

"They won't write about what I like so they don't have integrity anymore"
Around here, we call people like you whiny bitches
Pretty much this. And to be honest if I worked for Coindesk this thread would make me somewhat wary of Monero. Of all the people I expected to completely miss the point, you weren't one of them. If CoinDesk is really nothing but a glorified trollbox, it doesn't really matter what they think, does it? No. I think I got the point. The other side of that is... if Coindesk is just a glorified trollbox then why does it even really mater what they think or report on? I personally do not read their articles for the most part and don't really care what they report on. But that's just me...

Regarding accessibility, I'm actually working on a slick deterministic seed based web-wallet that could perhaps be integrated into monerochain.info if there's interest. My intention is to drastically lower the barrier of entry to using Monero without depending on the core devs polishing the client.
I don't like talking about work this early on, but I want people to know there are complimentary projects taking place outside the official github repo.
I know that Easywallet-type of wallets are to be avoided, but for rapid adoption, they have played a part in BTC and could do that also with XMR. Agreed. I think blockchain.info style wallets are pretty safe for everyday use and would make it a lot easier for people to use the currency, but I wouldn't depend on them for securing any significant amount of wealth. I would like to point out there is a HUGE difference between blockchain.info wallets and easywallet.org and other wallets including coinbase for that matter. With blockchain.info YOU control the private keys. With so many others you do not. IMHO any good web wallet will work this way. Basing it of the 24 word mnemonic might be a good approach.

Well now.
I have to check my calculations over as I do my math with legos, but I think we may be at the moment we have all been waiting for. Well at least since last Christmas or so.
The log trend line and the actual price look like they are about to meet up in a significant way.
Any actual techie gurus out there want to confirm? But I think the next big move is a major trendsetter. Or breaker...
