5422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 04, 2020, 11:40:53 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart

Right, specially at this market conditions, one must be very careful on investing our hard earn money because we really don't know if the project is real or it might pull an exit scam. Diversification is one key as well, to not get burned easily in crypto.

Others put more in bitcoin and the rest altcoins and ICO/IEO projects. It's 2020, so I do hope that everything will be fine and that the market should soon bounce back from the two year long bear market so that everyone can make money.
5423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 04, 2020, 07:20:49 PM
Hi I'm not a technical guy and I really want to invest in altcoins. Fo you guys which do you guys prefer in this time when buying your altcoins?

Majority of us here are not technical person.

Do you still like to buy those under rank cryptos that low price or you preferred to buy those on the top? Or do you prefer projects which have constant project development and updates that still build even though they fell from the bottom? Or you skip those low satoshi altcoins even though they still have great developments?

Well both of them have pros and cons. Personally, with the worsening market conditions, I prefer those in the top ten. But I chooses some below just to play around and see how it goes.

And if you can give me some idea too to where I can research project development statistics and quality of altcoins. Sorry for my English?

Well everything is in the web right now. So you can just research or what we call DYOR here.
5424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jessie Vargas vs Mikey Garcia on: January 04, 2020, 06:43:33 PM
So this mean that Mikey Garcia is out for the contention of fighting Manny at least for now and the rumor might be true that the Pacman will be fighting Roberto "The Ghost" Guererro this May.

Yeah, Mikey is out of the lottery for now.

Though Vargas is the bigger fighter here but i would favor Garcia in this fight for his speed. Experience wise, Vargas has the edge, having fought Manny and Bradley is a feather on his cap though he was on the wrong end. Vargas lack the speed which for me is the vital factor for winning a fight.

Not sure if Garcia can carry his speed here. But he has fought Spence, probably he already knows the power in this division and he can take it. Vargas lacks speed which Mikey can take advantage of. So it's possible that this fight will be similar to Bradley fight in which Vargas lost.
5425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying Bitcoin in Iran? on: January 04, 2020, 06:17:01 PM
Apparently the price has trebled on the local Bitcoins market. So is it rich people trying to preserve their wealth, or is it people using it for everyday purchases? Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi, chairman of Iran’s economic commission, has stated that more than $2.5 billion has been transferred out of the country via Bitcoin. Will this be the primary function of Bitcoin as we creep towards World War 3?

This could be another use case for bitcoin if ever there's a conflict between Iran and USA.

Censor resistant BTC could be the only way that rich and wealthy Iranian can bring their money out of the country. I don't think that Iranians are going to use bitcoin for every day purchase though, I'm not really sure if there are stores that are going to accept bitcoin as mode of payment. So most probably, the rich and elite are going to bitcoin or crypto to hedge.
5426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong accused projects on: January 01, 2020, 02:18:34 PM
I need lists of projects that were thought to be scam and faced many wrong accusations but in the end still thrive and become successful today, any? I believe not all project that appears to be scam ends up been scam because people suspect them to be

Maybe you can start here: Scam Accusations.

But it might take a while because you need to go one by one about the projects being accused of. Of course, it's just an accusations and projects can defend themselves. But remember that there are projects as well that we can't detect to be a scam in the beginning, but in the end, turns out to be a fraud.
5427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The tulip Trust on: January 01, 2020, 01:43:27 PM
Did CSW specially give a date though? I haven't follow this because we all know that he is a fake.

I have found a thread: Black Swan Event: IF Craig Wright was part of Tulip Trust and dumps it all! Poll.

And since we all know that CSW is fake, and a pathological liar, it's pretty obvious that this could just be a hoax and most likely we wanted another attention to this whole drama of his.
5428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery In Your Place on: January 01, 2020, 01:19:12 PM
idk if your only advertising that site

Probably another case of Don't get tricked by hidden spam on this forum.

I totally gave me my lotto betting here in my country. And we all know that the odds are not really on our favour, although the windfall is really that huge, but I would rather play other games than chase lotto winnings.

I fell for their scam today.  Lost 22.1 Litecoin trying to purchase a Whatsminer M10S from "microbtwhatsminerd1 . com"

Here's the transaction record:

Don't fall for it people, sucks big time.  Sad

I agree, sorry for you loss. So sad that this scammers has gotten another victims on their list and I'm sure they are laughing their ass off.

Lesson learned, but it's hard to stop those scammers, we can report their site but I'm sure someone will pop up in no time and continue their criminal activity.
5431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 01, 2020, 07:56:22 AM
Hey I'm back. haven't been on the forum for 1.5 yrs. Been on Twitter. But yeh 2019 was a good year for me in crypto.  1. I had too much in alt coins ,tron, and didn't gain much of it. My stack went all the way up. From btc. Then I saw my stack crashed down lol. It was amazing. But yeh still got a chunk back from hodling in 2017. I have been buying the whole year from 11k down. Little by little. I stayed for the 2020, 100k price well that didn't happen. Let's see the halvening now. Also stayed for the 1 million price prediction. I feel stocks is running n gunning at a good pace. But I'm still stacking satoshis.

I would just advise to continue stacking BTC and don't bother to look at the price because it might affect you mentally. So it will be better if you're going to look for long term and don't be focus on that $100k or even $1 million price prediction.

Halvening is just like months from now, better continue what you are doing. The sooner you save BTC, the better and we should remain positive despite our ups and down in crypto sphere.

5434  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TrustUSD - misleading and full of fake coomments on: December 30, 2019, 03:02:41 AM
Can't complain those are paid shills account bumping. Project having those activity are worst and cannot be trusted, though the coin have its price already, but its less than 1 usd having said that its a stablecoin.  Roll Eyes

Yeah, I quickly took a glance and damn, almost all of the post about this project is a shill account.

I also check their whitepaper, pictures of the people behind and it really looks very shady to say the list. So it's possible that this could be a scam project and hope that we can uncover them as early before they can scam a lot of newbie investors.

5436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube vs Crypto on: December 27, 2019, 04:06:38 PM
YouTube finally recognised that the recent Crypto Purge was a "mistake" but the damage is done, what do you have to say about this? I think the damage will get fixed in time because really YouTube has been a very useful platform for crypto

If they admitted that it was a mistake on their part then they obviously need to fix it.

However, many are still saying that their crypto channels are still blank and most of them have 2 strikes in the last twenty four hours so I doubt that youtube will reinstate them soon.

I would agree that Youtube are very useful platform not only in crypto. So they really need to think about  and get it fix ASAP.
5437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will you invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 03:14:32 PM
I personally feel these are the four best coins available for investment in 2020.

My first preference will always be Bitcoin and in 2020 I plan to accumulate more every moth systematically. 50 perecent of my total investment will be into Bitcoin, the reason is halving.

Since I expect the price of Bitcoin to rise in 2020, I also expect the same for ETH , XRP and LTC. I will divide the rest of 50 perecent investment equally to these three.

I am not planning to invest everything in one go. I will invest every month to get different positions at different price point. What do you guys thinks?

Do you also agree with the choice?

Yes, that's a solid portfolio. I'll probably go as high as 60% on bitcoin though.

And then the rest spread out on those three coins. I guess for us casuals, we can't really just buy in one go, it takes time for us to let's say accumulate one BTC (which I think the majority's goal). So might be better to prioritise on BTC. Followed by the rest, ETH, XRP and LTC.
5438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - Going to 70$? on: December 27, 2019, 02:07:56 PM
It might go to 70 usd if the market will really go much down but i don't think will happen, and most expect to have a bull run which might happen next year and make some profit.
Honestly if that would happen, I would try to find ways to make money just to buy ETH at that price.
The market has been so bearish in the last 2 years, there's plenty of opportunity to accumulate cheap coins but ETH is special and now that we know the team has enough funds for its future, then we should not worry even if it dump.

this should be enough to develop eth.
https://bitcoinist.com/ethereum-foundation-made-100-million-by-selling-eth/

Exactly, that will be the perfect opportunity for us casual traders to buy a lot of Ethereum because of the cheap price. Actually has presented itself when the price hits $80, so I don't know if you guys have bought during that time.

But 70$? that is a good discount and I wouldn't let the opportunity slip away. All we have to do is hold on it and maybe we can get a minimum of x10 returns if bull run resumes in the next coming years.
5439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: AJ's next fight on: December 27, 2019, 01:41:53 PM
As per this article:

Quote
Earlier this month in Saudi Arabia, Anthony Joshua reclaimed the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Andy Ruiz in their rematch.

Now Joshua has two mandatory obligations at the table - and both sanctioning organizations have ordered Joshua to make a defense.

The mandatory challenger under the WBO is Oleksandr Usyk, while the IBF has ordered Joshua to face Kubrat Pulev.

https://www.boxingscene.com/joshua-id-hate-vacate-belt-i-know-i-get-it-right-back--145418

So it seems that the boxing bodies is forcing Joshua to face his mandatories otherwise he will be strip of the titles or he needed to vacant it. So I guess he doesn't have the control on who he chooses to fight next because of the sanctioning bodies in boxing.
5440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: December 27, 2019, 01:02:03 PM
I will start hating altcoins only when bitcoin raise up to 20,000$ and altcoins fail to move up as well, many people are putting blames on altcoins today as if bitcoin is not in loss itself, the ATH of btc was 20k and now it's trading for 7,000+ thats like 12,000$ lost please how will this not affect other altcoins as well? Top altcoins will surely lose value as well, to me this present loss of altcoins are positive, look at coins like LTC, EOS, BNB, these coins are doing fine. You will only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins

Of course, nothing is wrong with the top ten altcoins, the problems lies on those shitcoins and tokens that are being used for pump and dump scheme. Remember that almost all altcoin have bitcoin pairings so obviously they will be affected as well.

And then there are altcoins investors who decided to shift to bitcoin for now because of the current state of the altcoin market. And that is how crypto market works, people juggling around and put there money where it has a greater chance to profit which is bitcoin.
