niothor, you should log out and never come back.

That doesn't sound like an evangelist to me , more like a sexcoin blindfolded zealot. Smiley

Shouldn't the green and the red lines intersect at today's date? Cause those are some real poor drawings!

 Cheesy

Lines are there to help to see the change of direction. Trend lines are drawn from market graph low to low and high to high until trend breaks and retraces to confirm the break. As you can see theres no vertical lines for dates. Its just appoximate dates under the graph.
If you want to learn how trend lines are supposed to be drawn then you can google about it. Theres plenty of tutorials.
Of course you cant take any altcoin trends as serious trends. Its just another tool for predictions.

Common , we both know what I was talking about. If you would have drawn the first line from the random moment you chose till today , the marketcap line would be linear and would have shown no increase at all. Smiley.

1 .block reward will be halfed much sooner.

Wrong.
Block speed will not change, only the difficulty.

The top 2 address worry me a bit.
But I'm still on holding mode.
Bought at 30, so I still have a leeway.
Hopefully it will not drop much more. Hope is free. Doge rise!

You're wrong.
Block reward will be halving sooner because we have blocks issued faster than normal.
More hashpower added during same difficulty levels makes blocks being issued faster than normal till the new difficulty adjustment.

You can check the history of bitcoinclock to see how the new halving has advanced more than 4 months.

Well, lets look at market statistics a little:

Despite of price steadily dropping last 10 days, the market cap of DOGE in on the rise again. This is due stable network hash rate over 20GHs.

DOGE is still on top of the profitability. This info indicates that DOGE is gaining popularity. Holders are stockpiling more and new investors coming in as well.

Can we have a 250k or 500k market cap minimum requirement as entry to coinmarketcap or some other similar filter method (ones already listed can stay). Seriously don't want to see 100+ new useless coins added, and then 3 months from now there will be 1000... Need to draw the like in the sand now somehow.

How about we put the limit at 1  billion so only real coins are shown?

I can see why some people are still so bullish now. They see action but don't know what huobi is and they think all this is happening naturally.

Interesting analysis. I can see why some people are so bearish now. They can look into the future and disregard new investors in bitcoin as a potential factor in price. They think houbi is the one to rule us all.
I'm actually bearish for two reasons. First is huobi and second is even WITH huobi, this still looks like that weak trend in May that fell into final capitulation. So combine those two and I am extra bearish.

What is huobi ? Some FAKE exchange with 200 btc in order book, and you can sell 100k bitcoin there and price will not even change. Seems legit.

oh houbi ... oh houbi ... oh houbi ... every post

I don't know about houbi , but the kyuubi , that's one mean character =)))

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ahmedabad/Bitcoin-may-be-used-by-hawala-traders-Officials/articleshow/28067184.cms

Looks like The government is starting to demonize bitcoin users.

The bureaucrats in india is like the Vogons. regulation will take about another year and  they will try to get  people the bribe them for favorable licensing and deny licence to any one  that goes through the proper channel .
They are looking at this as a centralized currency base and must be looking for  satoshi to arrest. lol

"Mahendra Gupta had developed software for a bitcoin trading platform for an Australian company and accepted payments in bitcoins. He later developed a replica of the same platform and began trading in India. During the raid, 13 bitcoins worth Rs 6 lakh were recovered from Gupta's possession."

I wonder which one of the now hacked and defunct exchanges he developed.  Shocked

Tell me this wasn't the biggest exchanger in India. Probably 2nd or third.

Would it be possible to report the value of individual coins in BTC or USD? The reason I ask is because some coins like Lotto Coin and Earth Coin have recently surged in value and as a result have seen a large increase in miners. This makes it look like the coin is increasing in value faster than it actually is because new coins are being minted much faster than they should and will continue to be until the difficulty retargets. For example, Lotto Coin has only increased by about 60% in value per coin since being listed on Cryptsy however CoinMarketCap.com reports a market cap increase of 150%.

31    LottoCoin   $ 1,193,798   $ 0.00049   2,442,880,245 LOT   $ 308,695   +158.19 %
20    EarthCoin   $ 3,147,865   $ 0.0062   510,515,161 EAC   $ 155,972   +151.02

you're thinking of something and writing something else , but i can't read minds

U r not a troll. Real trolls don't have girlfriends, that's why they troll.

Well that made me laugh , thanks Smiley))

If miners get a high subsidy from coinbase transactions, fee markets might not really develop at these early stages, even in PoW coins.
Also you did not answer to the "not every coin needs to pay miners anyways" argument... Fees on Ripple for example are more fighting spam than helping in any measurable way to deflate the money issued.

Amount of coins moved/transacted or "bitcoin days destroyed" kinda metrics might be more useful, but again not even applicable or even possible in all coins.

You talk about the money people HAVE to pay for fees, the amount people WANT to pay for fees is likely 0. If coinbase subsidies are high, few people HAVE to pay for fees, that's why they are ridiculously low in BTC for example. https://blockchain.info/charts/cost-per-transaction shows to pay for the current hash rate it costs over 60(!) USD per transaction! Only a tiny part of this is paid via fees, the largest part is paid via inflation.

Well , I always looked at comparing coins as comparing vehicles (not cars).
There is no way to find the best coins based of numbers in the specs.

But it's fun to watch some numbers for the sake of comparing things (or wasting time till your movie begins).

niothor, are you still unleashing your inner trolls? Happy new year to you

Happy new year! to you too.
It seems my trolling isn't qualified to be considered real trolling.
It's weak in the daylight =))).

But to be honest , god if I can tell anymore what is a real coin and what is a scam. Probably the cold winter outside , girlfriend away till tommorow, crappy holiday overall , but they all seem like a joke lately.

The start of a beautiful day , with all the scams in red.

Maybe I'm colourblind, but I'm not seeing any red here?

You wanted the full 3.5 M .bmp version or the 110 kb one.
Besides , I've seen a lot of red lights that looked like green compared to this:))
5458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 30, 2013, 10:35:45 AM
Could you display the amount of money that people are willing to pay to use the network based on transaction fees? If you can add the Transaction Fees in USD spent in the past 24h, it is probably a better indicator which currency is more widely used and adding value to people's lives.

Now , this is what I call an interesting idea.
If it adds also the number of transactions /day paying the fees , I would name this the website of the month.

@Sukrim
Just saw you post.
It can still a be a comparison to some extent between the same kind of coins.
Of course , if those clones copied the 27kb free tx also , but with faster blocks it will also lead to some weird and inaccurate data but , it's an interesting thing to know.
5459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 30, 2013, 10:33:36 AM
And Mastercoin is not tied to bitcoin?

No. Mastercoin added extra value on top of Bitcoin. U won't become an apprentice troll until u read more about other coins.

Oh yeah. So mastercoin and quark are not related to bitcoin but peercoin is.

If this is what a troll has to know , even with my overwhelming desire to become one of the Olog-hai,  I have to abandon my dreams. I'm not willing to go full retard for this.

CoinMarketCap.com how much did ripple pay you to display ripple as the number 2 coin?

Even if I dislike the principles of ripple , and even nxt , in my opinion they should be there.
They are cryptos nevertheless.
