Doncic simply amazed  the fans again, playing smoothly and still dominated the scoring stats. Though he came from the injury but looking from how he showed today seems that there's nothing wrong and he's recovery's already been done. Although Spurs with how they are playing right now unable to blend well.

Indeed, he was really good and he made some good shots effortlessly.
The spurs seems to have a problem within, I think it's time for them to trade their stars like Derozan and L.A and replace with a younger players that has a good potential and still hungry for popularity.

Spurs are very inconsistent. There are games that you can really say that they have the chemistry, but the next game, complete disarray. They always try to make a comeback and it usually fall, just like what we have seen against the Mavericks.

Coach pop is a good coach, so I hope before he retires he'll be able to win a championship again.

Unless he really get's someone to really turn the team around. I don't know, maybe it will be very difficult to build another dynasty that the established in the 2000's.
5442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin on: December 27, 2019, 12:07:05 PM
Would the collapse of a Ponzi scheme effect the price of Bitcoin?

There was some speculation, but I don't think that the price will be affected long term.

Though a hypothesis that the collapse of the Chinese Plustoken, a classic Ponzi scheme similar to bitconnect or countless others affected the price of Bitcoin, this seem to be accceptible although it's unlikely to be the major factor but distribution of stolen funds correlate very well with market downturns.

Again, we have seen a lot of Ponzi scheme in the past, billions worth, but BTC still remains dominant as it used to be. Because investors really know that bitcoin is the best investment and not those Ponzi scheme. It could impact the price, but not so much in the long run.

I was also surprised to see lots of news about a huge dump of Ethereum, Updated: $25 Mln Worth of Ethereum (ETH) Has Been Sent to Top Exchanges. Is Major Sell-Off Imminent?.

It was even mentioned that it could be Vitalik or someone close to the project is dumping it. So it's really hard what to say about the current status of this project. Part of me wanted to see Ethereum recovering, but it the people behind the project are dumping it then what can you tell about the state of the project?

~snip
I would agree that this time, someone for the USA will bring back the glory of 100 meters to the Americans. Tyson Gay tried before, but Bolt is really a freak. So I expect the likes of Coleman, Gatlin though is not in his prime anymore. Yohan Blake could be good to compete with the Americans but then again like Gatlin his best runs are over. I read though that there are another young Jamaican following in Bolt's foot print, but we will have to see if he has what it takes to be the next Bolt.
I have not seen Tyson Gay competing this year but you cannot count out Justin Gatlin as he won the silver medal in the recently concluded World Championship and it is not a small thing, Gatlin is 37 years old and still he is still competing defying odds and considering Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman are in good form US can regain the 100 x 4 m relay medal which was eluding us because of the Bolt and co and now the chance is here to regain.

I will assumed that Tyson Gay has somewhat retired because we haven't seen him for a while. Gatlin though if you could remember has been involved in doping before. And after he was exposed, his performance has somewhat diminished. So although he is still competing at high level specially his specially 100 meters, sooner or later the effects of the illegal drugs in his system might show up especially that he is almost 40 years of age.

It will be really interesting to see a post Usain Bolt era.

You just have to look at the previous Worlds Athletics and you will see who has the potential to replaced Bolt. And it seems USA are going to dominate it because they have solid runners like Gatlin, Coleman and Lyles. I haven't hear anyone from Jamaica except Blake but it seems that he is not competing at the level as he used to be. He just places 5th in the World Athletics behind the Americans, and third in the 2018 Commonwealth games.

Thanks, Golden State Warriors for this opportunity. They have now 3 consecutive wins! Staying 15th seed in the Western Conference. lol

Lol, what a Christmas gift you got from Golden State.  Grin. Who would have thought that they not just win against Houston, but they win with that spread. Haven't seen the game though, perhaps they're improving or something but this win is really unexpected.

Lessons here: If you have the guts to bet for an underdog then go for it.  Grin

Doesn't make sense to peel it off at this time, he could make a lot of money if he just continue to hold on it. After all he has been holding it for the last six years, so it baffles me to say the least. So I only see this possibilities.

(1) he really needed the money
(2) maybe he forgot about the coin for the longest time and most likely he still in the profit regardless of the current price so he just redeemed it right away
(3) it was stolen from him
5447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Milwaukee Bucks Make history? on: December 25, 2019, 11:12:41 PM
Sixers will be a big test of the Bucks in the next game. I'm not saying that they're going to loss, but it's going to be interesting as Philly is in the 5th position in the East.

And then Boston few games down the ladder. And I think the rest of their schedule are pretty much a sure win, in my opinion. And as long as Giannis is healthy and the second unit contributing, chances are they're going on at least ten games here.

I believe that the Bucks and Giannis are going to have troubles when facing Boston.
Sixers play very well and it will be indeed an interesting game, however I don't think that they are going to be close to Bucks' performance. Milwaukee has a variety of players that can give scoring solutions to the team right now.

Oh well, as I have said, Sixers will be a big test for them and eventually Philly's defense put a clamp on Giannis, he just score 18 points (8-27 FG, 0-8 3PT) one of his worst performance this season.

They shut him down for good, while Joel Embiid had a monster game, scoring 31 points to go with 11 rebounds, props to him for stepping it up and playing good defense against Giannis.
5448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Make Money With Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2019, 10:51:34 PM
1- Are you a daily trader? who buy BTC at loew price and sell it with higher price at the end of the day, If no why?

I used to do daily trading. But most of the time I find it difficult to make profit because of price fluctuations of bitcoin.

2- Are you a BTC holder? who bought BTC and hold it for months, Years to be in profit?
3- you tell me.

Yes, much safer strategy specially if you don't like to be a full time trader. You can buy during dips and stash bitcoin in your wallet. Others have a goal to have at least 1 BTC, but if you can save more, much better.
5449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 25, 2019, 01:10:51 PM
Conor McGregor is getting ready for his newxt fight...and posting some pictures on his Twitter.
This fight will be important for us to see if he can still fight, or maybe he can work only work like mma commentator and trash talker
The rumor is that Donald Cerrone will be paid good enough to loose the fight, the reason for these rumors is because they are fighting at Welterweight and even Dana White said if he defeats Cerrone he will be getting a crack at a rematch between Khabib which makes no sense and the tickets for UFC 246 are sold within 3 minutes which is insane consider the way in which he lost the fight to Khabib and yet he is still having a bigger fan base which is really crazy.

Very interesting, so UFC is really setting up a rematch with Khabib for big money.

I wouldn't be surprised if Conor wins and Cerrone taking a dive. UFC/Boxing are all in the business of making money know. So probably watch this one on TV though. Wanted to see how Conor's stamina are doing. We all know that he usually gasses out in the late round.

If Cerrone will focus on takedowns, then maybe McGregor will gas's out. But if he will fight the way McGregor dictates it would be in Conor's favor. This fight will depend on how each camp prepare their strategy and deliver it perfectly come fight night.

Cerrone is not focus on takedowns, he would rather fight standing up and use his leg kicks. So I think that will be his strategy here and try to bait Conor and counter. That is if he will caught Conor. But we all know that Conor has somewhat have a decent defense fighting standing up so it will be very interesting who will dictate the fight in the first couple of rounds.

So Conor could gas out if Cerrone will used a pace that Conor is not used to or at least test his ring rust.

When you exchange cryptos on instant exchanges like Changelly or Changenow, what are the point you pay attention to?

like fast transaction, no kyc etc?

Of course the first point is that you will get your crypto. Both of the mentioned crypto exchanges has some issues with that.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Changelly/comments/8qeqzi/dont_use_changellyit_will_hold_your_fund/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Changelly/comments/8fd6tb/high_risk_changelly_steals_my_33btc_30k_usd/

ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins).

As far as KYC though, sooner or later those exchanges are going to succumbed to those regulations so it doesn't makes any difference at all.
5452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you learn as a gambler? on: December 24, 2019, 11:21:13 AM
Well, just like the others said "self discipline" will be the first thing that someone will learn after you get through gambling addiction. I may not call myself an addicted gambler since I already had self discipline before I engaged into gambling. Earning money through your day job ain't easy, I'd rather spend every bit of it to feed my family to spend it in gambling.
What I ultimately learned is to gamble with just little money and enjoy the moment while you're gambling as this is just a form of an entertaining yourself with money involved.

Little did we know that when we start to gamble, we're going to be on the short end of the deal. I have learned it the hard way. Became addicted, lost a lot, that's why lately, I just play and have fun and entertain myself. I'm no longer have the adrenaline rush to wager big amount of money because I know that chances to win are very slim.

Might as well play some small money, enjoy the time, simply as that.
5453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now YouTube is flagging Bitcoin and crypto-related videos? on: December 24, 2019, 10:23:43 AM
Because recently, there have been a lot of youtube crypto related videos that promoted ponzi scheme or blatanly promoting scams and phished link. See here: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys. And probably more on the Scam Accusations.

And those scammers video are being reported by many users that prompts Youtube to shut them down. And probably they hit another alarm here, so expect Youtube to change their ToS as far as crypto related videos are concern.
5454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: December 24, 2019, 09:54:58 AM
I wonder what specifically the person gamble on? The article did not mention it unfortunately. I guess he gambled on stock hoping to make quick profits and return back what he took. Both Op post and the article sound like he took the  huge sums of money and spent it in a casino or something. Taking any kind of risk could be described as gambling, I guess.

My wild guess is that the person gamble on a casino in the Philippines. Three big casino's are within Manila and I'm sure he played on three of them.

The gambler took money throughout the years and no one new about it because he is clearly manipulating the books and it's already too late with them found out thru audit.
5455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the FBI on: December 23, 2019, 11:20:45 PM

I am seriously baffled why it is a problem, cash is way more anonymous and i am not seeing fbi ranting about the dangers of anonymous fiat cash. Maybe they are though but it's not newsworthy and don't get reported.

It is a problem for them because they can't really control it and they believed that it is being abuse by criminals like terrorist and illegal drug traders.

On the contrary, FBI should step up their thing here, they have billions of budget at their disposal. And there are a lot of companies today which they can tap, like https://ciphertrace.com/ if they want to track transactions.

Hello

Could this be the hype that will cause BTC to rise? What do you expect will happen?

No, it won't be the reason why BTC will rise, there are a lot of factors and I'm sure this is the last on the list.

What is Mr. Desantis up to with this domain? Is he building a Super computer?

Found this article on BitNews --> https://news.bitstarz.com/something-big-is-happening-on-january-3rd-2020-what-is-it?fbclid=IwAR224FBQYTqJ6xJcZ4Wpc_jhUrqpbR8LDV2Z0qiZnrJa_G6EJNxXGs1VnaA

What do you mean supercomputer? I didn't read the link (click-bait).

The price may risen on January 3 2020 or not. Still boils down to supply and demand, just saying.

Russia is still in the list. Are they still allowed to compete? Or the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) sanction will only take effect after this Tokyo Olympics? I am saddened to hear because Russians are one of the toughest competitors but it seems evidences are pretty solid leading into the decision to ban them in years.

oh really ? im not aware with that but what i thought is that china and japan are the leading competitors when it comes to the olympics  .

It is US and Russia are the leading competitors in the Olympics.

and what do you mean by anti doping ? sounds like drug related to me  .  but did they accused by taking drugs before  ?    . that is bad and every players are not permited to do that in every games because it can affect thier health and it can also affect other players safety  .

Obviously, it has something to do with illegal substance. They were caught cheating, they don't care about their health, as long as they going to win medals for their country. That's why government agencies has the full backing of some athletes to used steroids in Olympics specially Russia.

So do you believe that  Bucks are starting to build another winning streak?

Definitely, that win against Lebron's Lakers will boost their confidence again. I believed that if they didn't have a hiccup against the Mavericks, they could have surpassed the teams record of 20 streak.

They've been winning again lately with a decent margin and I think it's not hard for them to again have another long streak.
Today, another win against the NY knicks and Giannis had another triple double.

They have been winning if I'm not mistaken, with an average of 10 points. And with the way Giannis is playing, there's no doubt that they will have a good run, at least 5-10 games of winning streak.
