Of course the problem is that, if you are willing to get westbrook, then you should be hoping to get something else. The biggest trouble with the Irving deal is that if you give Westbrook, and even if you give some picks which Lakers barely have any, you are sending him to Durant, which we all know they both dislike each other and that would be a problem.
Maybe that is why Nets are trying to move Durant first before they take care of Irving. But if they move Durant and then get Westbrook, then they are left with Simmons and Westbrook which we know both of them don't shoot well. It will be a disaster. That is why I do not see Westbrook-Irving trade scenario to happen.

That is what the Nets is trying to do but the Lakers are more interested to get Kyrie Irving rather than Kevin Durant because the latter's trade is much more complicated as it means that the Lakers need to free 2 or 3 players for Durant; whereas if the Lakers get Irving in exchange for Westbrook.

It's too unfortunate for the Nets because they had to come up with this situation because their 2 all-star player wanted to move out after the Nets had done for this two. Back to the Lakers, I believe LBJ is pressuring the management to get Irving though than Durant because the King was vocal that he's still upset with Westbrook.

Read for more: https://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/story/2022-07-11/what-rival-scouts-executives-think-about-lakers-roster

Obviously the first thing the Lakers need to do is rid themselves of Russell Westbrook's contract.  That has to be the #1 thing.  It's probably difficult for them to work with the Nets because the Nets don't want Westbrook and Durant on the same roster.  Imagine all the talk on sports broadcasts...  I don't believe they want that distraction, so they're trying to do a Durant deal first.  They're willing to give Kyrie away to get rid of his attitude, so obviously they need to focus on Durant first.  That's the trade piece they want to maximize.  I think doing a Westbrook deal first takes a little of their leverage away from Durant talks, as the league knows the Nets won't want those two playing together.

And when we thought that there is no trade rumor or Donovan Mitchell or at least the Jazz is not going to entertain any trade, there is a news that the Jazz wanted the following from the Knicks:

Quote
The Jazz wanted Julius Randle, Evan Fournier, Derrick Rose, RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin and 6 first-round picks for Donovan Mitchell

https://twitter.com/JohnsonWhiteNBA/status/1547224720629977088

But obviously, the Knicks decline because that's too much.

The Knicks though already got Brunson as their guard, why would they need Mitchell?

Dwayne Wade seem pretty confident that Mitchell will end up in a Heat uniform. I think he’s a great player, but he’s really undersized for his position and isn’t the most efficient guy. I think any team with him as their #1 scoring option will struggle to reach the Finals. He’s no doubt a great talent though that I think would thrive in a secondary role. He’ll need to work on his defense at some point if he wants to be one of the top players in the league.

Currently, crypto enter into a bear market,my token is down up,and it not the best time to buy ETH/BTC/UNI...token,i want to ask mining is okay?what's mining is better to get an income,i hope the project have income so that can give some benefit to mining users, anyone can recomand to me?

Passive income seems to be the lure that shitcoins are using these days to get your money.  They promise massive interest on coins in order to get your money, but a 50% interest rate doesn't do much when the coin is crashing.  So many people see a yield and throw in their money without even knowing where the yield is coming from.  9 times out of 10, they're just dumping their coins on you in the form of yield while they already got your money when you bought in.  I know Bitcoin is boring because there's no yield, but eventually when you've figured out that YOU are the yield, you will smarten up and look for a strong currency instead of a big yield.

DeFi still has a lot of growing pains ahead of it.  The amount of money being stolen from smart contracts is astounding.  Perhaps this is why Bitcoin has been so slow to move towards useful smart contracts.  It's hard to say if these hacks are the result of incompetence or shady behavior by founders who allow backdoors to steal funds from their own creations.  At least that's the way this scam was being done with Bitcoin back in the day.  In any event, the more of these hacks that occur, the more hardened the community.  Hopefully at some point people are educated and experienced enough to discover these types of loopholes before it's too late.
5465  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 13, 2022, 06:35:45 PM
Drake deposited his own funds last stream and has been an avid stake player even before our partnership came to be.

I would imagine this is the case, otherwise he probably wouldn't have been willing to attach himself to the brand.  I'm sure he's being paid for doing these streams (maybe through referral links on occasions) but I'm also sure he has so much money that if he feels like dropping a million dollars into Stake because he wants to gamble more, he can do that.  I can only imagine the rewards he's getting from his massive volume as well as all the referral money from his fans.  It would be interesting to learn just how much money he's made from his partnership with Stake, but I imagine it's more than any of us think.
5466  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is a senile, old Bitch on: July 13, 2022, 06:32:21 PM
Biden is saying that 92% of democrats would vote for him again is either delusional, or he really thinks that 92% of democrats are so stupid that they can't see he's running the country into the ground.  Maybe he just thinks that 92% of democrats are so emotionally driven that they would vote for whatever moron the liberals throw up on the ballot.  Either way, I refuse to believe that a majority of this country is so stupid they would vote for this guy again.  You'd have to be completely ignoring all the evidence of what a horrible leader he is and what he's been up to in Ukraine with his son for the last 8 years.  I hope this is the darkest time for our country, because I've never witnessed such a mess of leadership in my lifetime.
5467  Other / Meta / Re: Raw Thai Honey for Bitcoins, another classic just after Bitcoin Pizza trade! on: July 13, 2022, 06:25:02 PM
Today by an coincidence, I remembered of something, noticed something and after checking, I found a surprising event from the past.

I know many members in this forum and around the world should know of Bitcoin Pizza Day. That started in this forum
Two years later, another member (VIP), El Cabron made another classic trade offer.

What your memory seems to lack is that it was later admitted that Goat AKA El Cabron was a con artist that was just launching fictitious companies on the GLBSE (exchange) in order to raise funds to funnel into pirate@40's ponzi scheme.  He also ran a mining company that never mined any coins or owned any equipment, and I believe the last thing he was selling was rights to farmland in Thailand.  Goat AKA El Cabron was one of the first scammers on this forum and even though he was admittedly running fake companies and taking investor funds, he still managed to fling insults at honest people here (think the original Vod) until he was eventually banned from the forum by theymos.  This was back when theymos gave a shit.
5468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Tether instead of Bitcoin ? on: July 13, 2022, 06:18:59 PM
Why do people not promote Tether instead of Bitcoin?

Is it because there is no money to be made in Tether?

Isn't the whole idea of Bitcoin to have a decentralized network that is useful and fair?  Isn't that Tether?

1:1 seems fairer than 1:20,000 ...

People use Tether instead of Bitcoin because it is more like the currency they're used to spending.  They don't want to watch exchange rates or worry about making conversions to spend money.  They just want to pay and go about their day without worrying that their savings could be worth 20% what they saved when it's time to spend.

Tether will also likely be replaced by central bank digital currency in the future, not to mention the other issues that people have brought up already.  Tether is cool, but it's no Bitcoin.
5469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 06:15:59 PM
I don't believe some teams wanted Westbrook when he doesn't have his skill anymore the Lakers already proved that and he also plays with Lebron and nothing has happened. Maybe Irving can add some fuel with the Lakers and maybe he can get back to play to the time when they were winning championships with Lebron. But this time he should really consider getting out from the Nets because this team is like a curse because no matter who they will acquire, they just don't get anything from them, and the far as they go is only going to the playoffs and that's all.
I think it was a bad decision to make him play with another player who gets inside, and a 6'8 280 pounds version of westbrook as well. This is why we should also see him play with shooters. For example him in Pacers wouldn't be a bad idea, they have Hield and they have some other players and that could work out well for the team.

That's a good point.  This is why Durant has requested a trade and will not be playing on the Nets next year.  I also think this will be a good trade for the Nets because they want a guy that will actually be on the floor after the Kyrie experience last year.  Westbrook will likely play all 82 games for the Nets and I think their management will appreciate that and the picks much more than another year of Kyrie drama.  Plus, it'll clear cap space in the future since Russ only has 1 year left on his contract.
5470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has crypto capitulated? on: July 13, 2022, 04:01:56 AM
Just my take on the situation… If you have to ask whether or not crypto has capitulated then my thinking is that it hasn’t. My guess is that when capitulation does happen, it will be obvious and there will be nobody left wondering whether or not capitulation occurred. Very likely this event will happen in the next ~3 months. Be prepared.
5471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 13, 2022, 02:22:06 AM
We know the real reason behind why they released Ayton, dude wanted the max he could get, and Suns didn't want to offer him that much. Their owner is a famously cheap person and the city literally wanted to force him to sell, failed but that's how terrible he is, dude is even getting money from the state to keep running it.

This means that dude costs people money to just run his own business. I know that it's his business and he can run it anyway he wants, but a team doing well enough shouldn't be disturbed otherwise it gets worse.

Look at OKC, they had Westbrook-Harden-Durant on their peak, with Ibaka for example, and they didn't want to pay Harden and everything after that was a failure and look at them now. This is how you ruin a team, and Suns owner is doing that.

I agree with all of that. I think the main reason they didn’t want to pay him though was because his personality clashed with ownership and Booker was jealous of his rising status. The situation seems less like OKC and more like the Sacramento Kings with DeMarcus Cousins. The end result is the same though. If you let your talented draft picks walk because of personality issues, you’re gonna have a tough future. Imagine if the Warriors dumped Green because he’s a jerk… Sometimes you gotta let talent do their thing.

Richard Jefferson is going to officiate the second quarter of today’s Knicks vs Blazers summer league game. He’s doing it to expand his knowledge about how different parts of the game are prepared for. As a former player turned broadcaster, he is going to talk at halftime about the differences in preparation and what he learned. It should be both comedic and educational. It’ll air on espn 2 at 8pst.

This was a great story tonight. It was good for a nice moment as well. The first time Richard Jefferson blew the whistle as an official, he made the wrong call. He signaled out of bounds off the wrong team and one of the other referees had to correct him and reverse the call. The crowd and the other coaches let him have it too. It was a funny moment. I’m sure he immediately felt like he was in over his head as a referee.

Reports today that Ayton is close to finalizing a deal to go to the Indians Pacers. If they let Ayton go in a trade that doesn’t also involve Kevin Durant going to the Suns it is going to end up being one of the worst moves Phoenix has made in a long time. It’s crazy to see an NBA franchise acting so emotionally. I imagine that whatever happened between Ayton and management was enough that they were unwilling to even offer him a contract extension.
5474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many Crypto Projects Will Die on: July 11, 2022, 08:06:08 PM
A lot of projects do well in good times as a result of over leveraging or dumb luck. The trend can be good when it’s on your side. The test of time is real though. Many projects won’t survive when things turn and they have to stand on their own. Much of the crypto market has been exposed as a house of cards as a result of the recent bankruptcies. This likely means that many crypto projects operating today are zombies that have just yet to be exposed as bankrupt.

5476  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox finally going to distribute 137,000 BTC sometime next month on: July 11, 2022, 06:40:06 AM
So the creditors finally got an email about getting their bitcoins since the 2014 bankruptcy. This is around $3 billion dollars.

Everyone is watching their wallet and many will start to front run the dumping when it’s actually redistributed.

What does everyone think will happen? Dump? Pump? Sideways?

It’s also funny how ETH merge is around the same time. Late August. Should be a busy month.

We’ve gotten many emails over the last near decade about mtgox. This one didn’t specify anything that made me feel like a payout would take place next month, but we’ll see. I’ll believe it when I’ve got BTC in my wallet. Until then, it’s just another notification that they’re working on it. The amount of funds they’ve been paid to do something as simple as distribute what BTC they have left is a bit shocking to me. I see no reason they’ll do anything quickly, but do think this is the most interesting thing in Bitcoin at the moment.
5477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2022, 12:27:12 AM
Wiseman looking good for the Warriors in summer league. He’s blocking shots, catching alley oops and creating and draining his own 3’s. He’s looking like he may fill a need for the Warriors next year if he can stay healthy. Scary that they won it all without their best prospect. They might be an even better team next year.
5478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whole coiner status in 10+ years on: July 10, 2022, 06:31:28 PM
What do you think it it will mean to have an entire bitcoin as we truly hit the depths of supply shock. That moment when there is no turning back from terms like "Store of value" and many products are then denominated in Bitcoin?

For me I imagine a world where someone wants to start a project and as a whole coiner, you walk in and have the ability to angel invest on a dime, or by simply  being in the room you are collateral for innovation.

what are your thoughts?

It sounds to me that you are placing too much value on what a person has instead of what a person does. Being a whole coiner doesn’t make anyone special, and believe me when I say that you don’t become a whole coiner by throwing BTC at angel investments, so it’s unlikely they would suddenly go that route. Chances are, if you’re a whole coiner in 10 years, it’s because you are a saver, not a spender. The only value in those folks is that they remove BTC from circulation to help make number go up.

A great coin. I believe this is also the first precious metal cryptocoin to use colored epoxy in it’s design/production. You don’t see them trade hands very often. Good luck with your sale of this piece. It’s definitely a good one to have for any physical crypto collection.

Having a franchise star like KD is one of the best thing to happen in each team inside the league,

I don’t know about that. He quit on Oklahoma City. He wasn’t happy in Golden State. He destroyed a budding Nets franchise. I don’t think any of his former teammates consider him a friend. He’s one of the best basketball players still, sure. I think a lot of regrets come from previous teams. Certainly someone like Tim Duncan or Steph Curry’s loyalty is what owners are hoping they get when they shell out big bucks for stars.
