5481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Problems in Bitcoin on: November 30, 2019, 07:38:26 AM
His/her problem is using Bitcoin for his desire of fiat wealth.
Maybe. But if that is the case then they will get burnt out very soon. A good example would be this rant thread and thus it is very likely.
Quote
Bitcoin should be viewed as something else that, invalidates the government from seizing your property, Bitcoin. Invalidates the government from stopping you in buying whatever you want to but, censorship-resistance. Invalidates the government from reducing the value your money through inflation, immutable capped supply.
Properties that bitcoin have making it different from other modes of transaction. I still think many people dont really understand the meaning and importance of these words. They think of everything to be either on one pole vaporware and another pole as get-rich-quick. Those who go with either of these mentalities will fail in future in any attempt at making money.

Quote
Those properties make Bitcoin the ideal store of value.
I wont call anything ideal. It a good store. But nothing can be ideal.

5482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties on: November 30, 2019, 07:33:00 AM
To choose a good gift bounty is very difficult, because every bounty that appears all looks good at the beginning but in the end we cannot predict, it can only give a shadow that a good bounty has a clear vision and has a solid team and their coins have been registered in many that's a good bounty at the moment
Is it not better to avoid bounties altogether? Go build up your account here and earn merits to reach a good rank and then go for signature campaigns that pay in bitcoin. Doing so will allow you to learn more about bitcoin too which is the only coin you all need to invest in. Bounties are a waste of time today and they should not be your focus.

it better to join in Bounty campaign only.
No. Waste of time.

If we have more money we could used it for trading.
Trading is a better choice.

Quote
Ico or ieo now have same quality.
They all are disguised scams. Cheesy

Quote
Most of them now  very low quality , only few of them that will success in market and gain more than 2x when traded. Whitepaper could copy and modify so everyone could make it. From now on , we have to learn about trading caused in future only less Bounty will occur. To anticipate its happen we have to able trading so we still dari money from crypto.
Which is why hunting bounties is worthless. Learn trading and learn about bitcoin then some shitcoin.

5483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help me to find best cloud mining on: November 29, 2019, 07:23:23 AM
Hello, I'm new in cloud mining, can you please suggest me best cloud mining website
None. All are scams.

Quote
I want invest $500 for this, also I find IQ mining what is your opinion about this website?!
Better off you hold that money in bitcoin. Buy some bitcoin now that the price tanked a bit and sell it a few years later.

Cloud mining is a disguised ponzi (HYIP/MLM) scheme. The only person who makes money from them is the owner and they are never going to reveal themselves or just fool you with stock images as team members. They operate them one by one as a nice looking profitable investment scheme only to rip you off once fine day when you realize that the site no longer exists and all the coins are gone.

They will initially pay to build some reputation. Again this payment is actually coming from new investors entering the "pyramid" while the older investors are getting some payments. It might be possible to get a few early bucks and then get out before the site closes but you never know when it will close so its risky as anything. I would never advice any beginner in crypto to go for them.
5484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Problems in Bitcoin on: November 29, 2019, 07:16:35 AM
OP, I have the best solution to your problem. Buy the dip, and HODL. Then take all the time away from Bitcoin, this forum, and everything that has something related to cryptocurrencies.
I think the OP needs to take a short but fruitful break from bitcoin.

They may have had a loss and thus sulking about their choice but as we have seen in the past and present buying low and selling high is the way to make profit from the market. Just look into the price charts 10years back and today. The price rise has been huge if you compare. Not that I expect anybody to hold for such a long period even 3x - 5x price at selling would have been a decent profit.

Trading should be kept to the extent of something that you would enjoy doing, not something that becomes a stressful job.
5485  Economy / Economics / Re: If we can see a country with 'Bitocin standard' monetary system on: November 29, 2019, 07:13:50 AM
American have dominance economic from other countries and make their money value have higher price, maybe when their country not have many power full make their money value will be down, but if many countries want to use bitcoin I think USD of american money left the name and many people or companies want to accept bitcoin as currency payment.
Fiat will never stop being here. It will be there even if bitcoin or crypto is accepted into payment systems wide and beyond. Fiat is the biggest mode of transaction even today and there are people who are not willing to accept crypto because of ignorance of what actually controls it, its bad reputation smeared by yellow journalism and so on. Older people are very less likely to accept it too but they will die out soon (<pardon my cold nature here).

However the time at which fiat and crypto usage reaches an equilibrium is far from now. Currently we should focus more on adoption and acceptance of bitcoin in different marketplaces.
5486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 29, 2019, 07:09:30 AM
I didn't experience much loss in gambling, because for now I rarely play.
Then your comment is biased one because you dont play. This topic would be more informative if you were a gambler and played more frequently.

Quote
But I remember the time every day I played gambling, There is always lost money as it loses, but I forgot how much, but not big because I was only a player with small amount, and I was still afraid to play with big amount. So I can still control it.
Your post makes zero sense. If you are playing less then your losses will be less compared to someone who plays everyday. The average money spent per day is applicable only when players in comparison are playing at a fixed interval.

Then again losing money in gambling is nothing new and which is why people should refrain from chasing losses and trying to win lost money back.

5488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: November 28, 2019, 06:53:31 AM
Better avoid it,we have more issues when we play on these kind of casinos especially if we won some decent amount our life is in danger because there are people who maybe watching you and once you are out they might try to steal any money.
Pretty paranoid there I see. Cheesy Its not that bad if you have been going there for sometime and its your local casino/pub and most of the people know you there. But you should be careful and one cannot be less cautious when it comes to money. I wont suggest you to keep bodyguards so you can gamble, but you have online casinos why look somewhere else?

Quote
We can't play with freedom,we mess things while betting if people rushing so no fun only issues from these casinos.
Yeah, there will be people mocking you for losses, maybe even try to provoke you into fights. No use going there unless its a Las Vegas casino and you are visiting it for a once a lifetime experience.
5489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you not relented in viewing your account wallet? on: November 28, 2019, 06:50:04 AM
Many pretend to be very comfortable with the status quo, no matter our specialization be it, as mojor investor or trader.
People find ways to keep themselves off the trading habit by indulging in other work too. Not everyone is a full-time crypto trader here. They also trade stocks, shares, commodities, metals and so on. Many of us are into other alternatives income methods and even other have a day job to look after. Taking a short break from trading is productive and that is the reason why a weekend exists after a week. Wink

Quote
One will get bored when it is going one way. Only for those who are wealthy enough and have many other sources of income will careless about this dump
People who are wealthy enough will not be taking risk with their wealth unless they have some insurance over a loss. For bitcoin that does not exist. So they are more likely to not invest. As for whales of bitcoin, they pump and dump and then go silent. They are least bothered about the current price. They will take into advantage any price that exists.
5490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the Bounty program is over? on: November 28, 2019, 06:45:06 AM
With the way things are going now i think there will soon come a time where bounties will come to an halt,
No. Because bounty hunters are the ones who allow bounty campaigns to run. If they are acting like bots joining every campaign with spam reports everywhere then the topic would be visible to every other user and they may also join. Its a bad thing about this forum that such reporting is often asked for in the thread as replies than using a third party submission service to collect.

Quote
new projects will not be able to raise fund successfully because investors won't have interest anymore
Interest? My ass.

Investors dont look for which project is giving out bounties. They are more of an opinion that bounty hunters are a waste of tokens since they will dump as soon as it gets listed and it become difficult to being trading on the exchange with a huge sell wall in front.
5491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: November 27, 2019, 07:13:51 AM
I am not that addicted to gambling and I know how to control when I am playing gambling. If I want to play gambling, it is when I feel that I want to and there are no specific reasons. Some other gamblers are playing because they wanted to win a huge amount but in my case, I play if I just want to.
I am sure you are not addicted to gambling if you are able to keep your cool and control your emotions. If you ever feel gambling is taking out time from other activities you should check yourself but how much time you are spending and how much bankroll you have spent. It would be best if you stop gambling for a short period and engage in social work and social life.

Often bad things happen to people and they take wrong steps and go into gambling spree. Its important for them to be kept in check by their family members. Its tough for them but it is always possible to reform their ways if they wish to.
5492  Other / Meta / Re: Should we report questions that can be easily answered? on: November 27, 2019, 07:09:36 AM
If you are pointing to questions that are used to keep a topic "bumped" then you should report them.

There may be legitimate queries but these questions should be obvious to anybody to be legitimate. In other words, do no overdo your reporting. The essence of making reports is keeping the community clean and keeping the discussion going, not attempting to earn a "reporters badge" Roll Eyes

Moreover I see some threads made with simple questions. Just answer them or ignore them. You are not the forum mod to be bothered about who is posting spam and who is not. Report them if you like.
5493  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your service on: November 27, 2019, 07:05:06 AM
Do you think it's worth investing in cryptocurrency?
We would not be here in this forum if we thought the opposite. If you are looking for an unbiased answer to this question then you should ask somewhere else. Here more than 90% will answer yes because of what I said.

Quote
Namely, I want to make the cryptocurrency exchange online service very high quality.
Sure very high quality. But do you have anything special in mind that other exchanges do not offer that makes you unique?

Quote
What can you advise?
Get a development team but have something unique to develop on. You wont get any good ideas by asking in a forum. Ideas are "sold", not shared.

Quote
What do you think is the most important thing in an online cryptocurrency exchange service?
Several things are important, but I would say having a good support team and least delays in depositing and withdrawal is what attracts people. Again this is a personal choice. The reason why the recent exchanges went bankrupt at one time is that they failed to gather a business big enough to pay their employees and keep up with the market.

Quote
I want to implement the highest quality service.
Everybody wants that. Do you have a working product already? Or are you looking for a team to develop one?

Quote
How can I get customer confidence?
Confidence is earned by giving sincere service. It wont come overnight.
5494  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Doers it matter what country you are in for wallet? on: November 27, 2019, 06:56:53 AM
is that wallet still good?
Good or bad is relative. I always advice people to keep their private coins private. That is use a desktop wallet to store coins and not a online service. I am sure you being a long timer would remember what happened to MtGox at one time.

Quote
and Does it matter which country I am in for wallet.
Your country is irrelevant for wallet. But to use their other services like buying and selling crypto you would need to be located in one of their supported countries.

Quote
I registered with coinsquare  as a platform to buy bitcoins, but I heard  that it can take up to 4 days to  move BTC from there after purchase, is that true, I remember on localbitcoins it used to be much quicker but the price was higher obviously, so is coinsquare the best way to buy bitcoins for Canadians.
Alternative to LBC is now localcryptos previously started as localEthereum. However check your local residential friends who are also using bitcoin as to what exchange they commonly use. North America countries are supported by many exchanges so you should not have any trouble with this if you do some inquiry. I cant help you more on this.

Quote
what wallet would you recommend for mobile.
Samurai wallet is good.
5495  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PryptoMontreal is a scammer on: November 26, 2019, 07:26:44 PM
Did you verify the original user here by sending PryptoMontreal a PM first about their telegram ID before initiating your chat with this user? This may have been an impersonator using a similar username to scam you while the person you accuse may not be even aware of the situation.

Still, the accused account has been said to have changed hands in their trust feedback.
Post relevant screenshots, chat logs, or anything that supports your claims. Follow the format here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0
OP said that chatlogs were deleted. I doubt anything remains. Is that is the case then nothing can be done here due to lack of evidence.

@Elizabeth97040  How did this user on TG contact you?
5496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What fee / byte (sat / byte) on: November 26, 2019, 02:02:40 PM

Does it matter if I send 0.00001 btc or 1 btc?

I see people posting mempool graph images but I have a feeling this user is trolling. Like 1btc for fees?

Seems like those threads where people used to complain why bitcoin fees are increasing and that they should use altcoins to prevent being "robbed". I know its a not reason to stop using bitcoin but it was there and being promoted by altcoins shills on many social media.

Considering the amount of responses in this thread I hope the OP if was looking for an answer would have got one, so I wont repeat anything. Roll Eyes
5497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Almost there (Hero Member) hoping to reach it before 2020 starts. on: November 26, 2019, 01:56:38 PM
I appreciate the fact that you spoke out your mind. It did hurt those who were just inches from being in the next rank when the merit system was started. However I became a self-made senior recently and it took me almost 2years to reach 250 earned merits. It might or might not be possible for you reach Hero by 2020.

So my advice is to focus on posting quality content, engage in discussions. Post where you feel posting is needed not just because you agree to post and dont force yourself to post.

It may take several years to reach the next rank so dont get disheartened.
5498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 26, 2019, 08:49:31 AM
so winning that bet can be very profitable.
That is if you win that bet. Its the riskier bet and the one that needs more luck to be won. Obviously the underdog needs to outperform that game and get lucky themselves so you can win. A lot of luck involved here but yes skills from the team will give them the upper hand and might even fetch a spot in the upper table tiers.

Do your own analysis it will help here. Otherwise one can always go with the less known games where there will be similar odds on both players because the game is less known and the players may not have known each other or played before. They are more of a dice game though.
5499  Other / Meta / Re: Cancel reports? on: November 26, 2019, 08:39:29 AM
Considering the amount of work that the mods of this forum have to get done in a single day, I still think every mod does their work sincerely and checks editing and timestamps before marking the report as good or bad.

@marlboroza

I have seen some of my reports remained unhandled even today - now consider this situation:

A wannabe mod who has a somewhat established name here, tries their luck at reporting posts as they wish without knowing the community guidelines and they get a number of unhandled and good reports. What they would do after this is "cancel" all the unhandled reports because technically they are not "handled" by any mod, since they decided that no action was needed for it and it is open to being marked as good or bad.

In this way they may try to get their accuracy rating high - not sure if the accuracy rating is based on only good and bad reports? Thanks @DdmrDdmr

So in this manner is one could cancel the reports they could get their rating high in short period of time allowing them to cheat the system. Obviously it would not remain so for long.
5500  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Price Tanks as Unplanned Exchange Maintenance Leaves Customers Stranded on: November 26, 2019, 08:32:27 AM
Deribit coming offline does not necessarily mean that the price going down was the effect. Deribit is like what BitMex is and you could speculate on the prices and buy contracts there for a future price, called margin trading.

Now what is possible is that a group of whales buy contracts on a certain price, which they have decided on and then dump the market to reach that price so their contracts go through before getting liquidated but this is a very longshot idea. The amount of bitcoin needed to move the market by 1% of its price is very big so it is less likely.

"Unprofessional" "disrespectful" are wrong words here. Being subjective makes you take the wrong decision. If you dont like them dont use them.
