5501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game on: December 24, 2019, 11:53:22 PM
What makes me sad is not that I dont have time to watch, but the fact, that when I open any news webpage, listen to the radio while driving to work or simply standing in the queue, I will accidentally hear/notice the results...

I'm a hockey fan. I remember previous winter games - I've set home tv set to download the nationals team game. Guess what I heard when I turned on TV in the morning and there was news - "our team lost"... (there was even running subtitles claiming that we lost...). What is the reason to watch the game when you know the score... And that happened almost with every game (except final, I've set an alarm Smiley )

Yeah, I know that feeling. Nowadays it's very difficult not to know result if you want to watch game later. You have to turn off TV, computer, ignore all social media. And in the end, your friends will spoil final result Cheesy
5502  Other / Meta / Re: Decreasing number of forum users on: December 24, 2019, 07:24:19 PM
I agree with users above that decreasing number of users is related with current situation in crypto and bear market. But I think there is one more reason related with merit system. Before merit system huge number of people were signing up here just to rank up quickly and earn good money here. There was huge farms of accounts, people had 10, 20 or 30 accounts each. Now when we have merit system it become almost impossible for them to rank up and most of them just gave up.
And @Welsh have good point. Now many people prefer social networks, chatting platforms like Telegram, Discord over forums. Forums becomes into a bit outdated things. But these new platforms don't have historic value. It's good to discuss cureent things. but just after few weeks or months nobody will not remember what your wrote. While on Bitcointalk forum we are still discussing what satoshi, Hal or other historical Bitcoin personality wrote 10 or 8 years ago.
5503  Economy / Reputation / Re: Have you seen Yobit's new signature design? on: December 24, 2019, 12:11:06 PM
Since when Yobit is operating leagally? They don't things like license which would make them fully leagally operating exchange and nobody knows who owns Yobit and etc. And IIRC, Yobit was previously even banned in Russia

About your post:
Russia is the country where president shows cartoons with russian rockets nuke Florida. I don't think this is good example.

and of course it's strange:
> people butthurting about KYC and AML and when Binance blocking their "shady" funds

>the same people butthurting that Yoibt "is not legal"

-__________________-

Maybe Russia isn't best example, but my post was response to post above, that if legally operating exchange would do such things like Yobit do, their owners would be imprisoned. But in reality, in Russia nobody knows who is owners of Yobit.
And I don't see people butthurting about legal status of Yobit. It's all about shady things they are doing.
5504  Economy / Services / Re: [SOLVED] Need some help with Wordpress on: December 23, 2019, 10:51:01 PM
No worries. Whenever you're in doubt just make a backup, and alter to your hearts content. If you mess up, and you will eventually completely mess up your site restore from the back up. If there's a problem ever with you importing your backup you can always give me a message, and I'll see if I can come up with a solution.

Yeah, I know that backup is must have thing in such cases. Thank for help and Meryy Christmas to you!
I'm locking topic now.
5505  Economy / Services / Re: Need some help with Wordpress on: December 23, 2019, 10:40:15 PM
I'm guessing you're using a caching plugin such as WP Super Cache?

Do you use cpanel to host your site? You should be able to go into your files, and then navigate to the path that it indicates, and delete that file. Then you can import your existing site. Sometimes this can occur when you've used too different caching plugins, and they've both generated the advanced-cache.php file. Simply, duplicating  copying it from the main plugin you intend to use to the other location should do the trick.
Yes, I have this plugin and and cPanel. I already previously moved my website from old host to current one. I was a bit afraid t go into files myself to screw something because my knowledge is minimal. But I tried to find this file. Now I deted this file and error had disappeared. Thank you so much for your help!
5506  Economy / Services / [SOLVED] Need some help with Wordpress on: December 23, 2019, 10:06:04 PM
I need some little help with Wordpress. After moving to new host and uploading website backup, I get this error:
Quote
Warning!

The file /home/bitceyyy/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php already exists. Please manually delete it before using this plugin. If you continue to see this message after deleting it please contact your hosting support.
I'm noob in these things, so I'm looking for someone to solve this thing. Looking for high ranked and trusted members only because they will have to access my website. PM me and tell how much you charge for it.
5507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game on: December 23, 2019, 07:37:56 PM
It will be hard to watch Olympics for europeans due to time difference.
I remember winter 2018 Olympics in South Korea... Almost missed all the major event and faced a lot of spoilers in news and radio (before I even watched downloaded game or it was shown on tv).
Yeah, it will be difficult to watch Olympics due to time zone difference. Rio 2016 also was similar, because most of events happened during night time. But there will never be time which would be good to watch in all continents.

Russia is still in the list. Are they still allowed to compete? Or the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) sanction will only take effect after this Tokyo Olympics? I am saddened to hear because Russians are one of the toughest competitors but it seems evidences are pretty solid leading into the decision to ban them in years.
If you're talking about list in OP, it wasn't updated in recent months. Russia is banned and clean athletes from this country will be allowed to participate under neutral flag only.
5508  Economy / Reputation / Re: Have you seen Yobit's new signature design? on: December 23, 2019, 04:59:14 PM
The interest rate is indeed very suspicious. But would a legally operating exchange do such a thing ?! If that's true, then these people would go 100% to prison in Russia.
I will wait for yahoo's decision just because it is unbelievable to me that they could do something so insolent.
Since when Yobit is operating leagally? They don't things like license which would make them fully leagally operating exchange and nobody knows who owns Yobit and etc. And IIRC, Yobit was previously even banned in Russia
5509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 23, 2019, 04:20:54 PM
So, my 7.5 points this weekend is not bad result Cheesy. But I'm disappointed that I got 0 points from Sunday games. Can't wait for Boxing Day matches, it should be fun!
Just wondering...  Who's fam_lfc again at Superbru?
the 'lfc' probably refers to Liverpool Football Club, so I think fam_lfc is either @Pamoldar or @buwaytress.

famLFC is Pamoldar and buwaytress is Sojourner, I remember I asked this question myself some time ago.
5510  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: December 23, 2019, 04:13:48 PM
Amazing moral flexibility exhibited by campaign participants here. Are you sure you want to risk red trust for promoting a ponzi/pyramid scheme?

Why you think it is ponzi/pyramid scheme?
Why do you think it's not? Explain how legit investment program can offer 10% daily returns? It's impossible
@suchmoon, I think that some of these people aren't even avare about what they're advertising now.
5511  Economy / Reputation / Re: Have you seen Yobit's new signature design? on: December 23, 2019, 03:23:52 PM
Yeah, I saw it. And some participants already leaving campaign because they don't want to advertise shady thing called investbox. I remember there was quite many good members with Cryptotalk signature and they definitely wouldn't join this campaign if they would have to advertise Yobit directly.
It will be interesting to hear yahoo comment about this. But if he will decide to leave this job, you all know what is going to happen...
BTW, there is people complaining that after changing signature, they aren't getting paid. Seems that Yobit didn't set up their bot properly. For these who are in campaign, I think it's better wait some time before updating signature.
5512  Other / Off-topic / Re: is there any BTC giveaway for Christmas? on: December 23, 2019, 11:59:29 AM
I haven't saw any BTC giveaway... Simply nobody gives free money just because it's Christmas. You should ask Santa for it, it's not too late Smiley.
It's possible to get some BTC on Games and rounds section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0. But nobody will give you it without doing anything.
5513  Other / Meta / Re: FREE MERIT COME FAST BEFORE I RUN OUT [Happy Holidays] on: December 23, 2019, 11:41:53 AM
That's very nice gesture from you, Hhampuz! So, spread some love! It's so difficult to pick just one user because there are so many great people on this forum. I will say few words about member, who wasn't mentioned here so far:
The Pharmacist - almost always I agree with his thoughts. And he can express it so well, so I don't even try to post on thst topic because I know that I can't make anything better.
Ok, another one - hilariousandco - he is great moderator with rational and cool head. Also, he makes EPL and CL prediction pools each year, which gives lot of entertainment for  us. Big thank you for it!

Merry Christmas to all of you, folks!
5514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: December 23, 2019, 12:03:20 AM
Real Madrid lost 2 points again tonight by drawing against Athletic club. That's just 3 points out of a possible 9 in the last 3 games. It looks like the effect of Marcelo's and Eden's absence is beginning to show up. Goals have been hard to come by lately for them
Good point. I haven't watched their game today, but it's not common to see goalless Real Madrid in two games in a row. And in last 3 games they scored just 1 goal.
It was last La Liga game in 2019. Now there is 2 weeks break. Players will be able to get some rest, recover from minor injuries and celebrate Christmas with their families.
5515  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many reports going unhandled? on: December 22, 2019, 11:01:05 PM
I have noticed this thing about unhandled reports recently. For example I reported complete shitpost which is also offtopic and after half day it's still unhandled. Previously mods reacted much faster.
But I don't that we need to make conspiracy theories about mods being selective and ignoring these reports.
I agree with posts above - main reasons of it is Christmas period and mods are have less time like most of us. It's normal and understandable. Being mod isn't full time job and we shouldn't expect that they will handle reports 24/7.
5516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Check the balance of your Bitcoin address at a specific date on: December 22, 2019, 10:38:59 PM
Did you try the link above?
I'm getting this error when accessing it both firefox and chrome:
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/m02jc.png
Are you using some tools to make this work?
How did you manage to make it work?
It also doesn't works for me. I don't know, maybe this tool isn't available anymore or link to it has been changed.
5517  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: December 22, 2019, 02:33:27 PM
@tbct_mt2 you’re right because till date I have never seen a Freebitco banner advert out here, and it’s a nice strategy to attract more users to their site. I can’t believe it 34 million crypto users registered on their site is huge and I have to say it’s an amazing feat to achieve, but I do have a question are all those unique accounts or even alt accounts have been included in the number?. In case anyone’s wondering I’m not doubting the authenticity of the number because for me freebitco is a legit site, but it’s an open secret that many people make alt accounts there, hence I wanted to know whether all 34 million members are unique or not.
I think ALL registered accounts are included, no matter they are alts or no. IIRC, some time ago they deleted big number of inactive accounts, so probably there is even more than 34 millions registered in total. It's same like Bitcointalk have 2.7 million registered users, but in reality these numbers is probably below 1 million.
BTW, Freebitco.in bought 4 ad slots, 0.03 BTC for each. I think it's very good deal for less than $1000.

Kid lauda is not DT again, update your knowledge first
You're wrong, Lauda is still on DT (DT2). Update your knowledge first Wink.
5519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: December 22, 2019, 11:41:23 AM
The last set of Laliga fixtures of the year takes place today and lots of top table teams are in action.
Real Sociedad are playing always against Osasuna. Atletico Madrid visits Real Betis. And in the final kick off of the night (and the year) Real Madrid host Athletic Bilbao as they try to keep up with league leaders Barcelona.
Lots of football action to feed your eyes on and also lots of attractive odds to bet on.
Real - Athletic game should be interesting. Athletic always been difficult opponent for them. I would love to see Rewl dropping points, but I don't think it's going to happen today.
Atletico win against Betis @2.00 looks nice and I'm going to bet on it. Though Atleti aren't performing very well this season, especially away.
Osasuna - Real Sociedad game looks most difficult to win. And I expect Levante win over Celta today.
5520  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1-member includes banned red-trusted users to increase his own Trust score on: December 21, 2019, 11:42:30 PM
Can you tell how long Klarki has had them on his trust list?
Good point: his Trust list is the same now as it was in January.
Timeline of things is important in this case. Now I'm on mobile, so it's not very convenient to check everything. It's important to know what happened earlier - these users got red trust and ban or user mentioned in OP added them to his trust list. If he added them before these events, I don't think it can be called as trust abuse.
