5501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Own Diligence is recommendable before engange in any Crypto investment on: March 03, 2020, 11:58:22 PM
Research, I'm sure I might sound like a broken record here, but if you don't DYOR and just listens to shills in this community or other crypto related social media outlet, you will be more confused in the end specially if the token they shilled became successful or didn't take off.

At least by doing your own research, you will know if the project has what it takes to be successful and it might help you to study other projects that you are interested, compare the pros/cons, in short you will be a better investors than 99%.
5502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I tripled my Investment with TitanProjects (TTN) in Couple of months. on: March 03, 2020, 11:27:10 PM
I will not consider this thread as a shilling thread when you can try to provide at least a single screenshot about when you were selling all of your TTN. i have seen so many shillers from TTN and so many people have already lost their faith to the TTN. At least a single picture is enough to prove it.
Exactly, this is the initial thought that comes to my mind, is this poster just shilling a coin that we haven't heard before and he/she says that he triple the initial investments? She/He even says that the initial was already covered and still has more stash to make money out of it? But where is the proof?

5503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need of the hour on: March 03, 2020, 11:09:27 PM
There are thousands of altcoins and if you can find dozens of altcoins unerr every segment let it be a pyment or wallet, green energy, asset backed but what is the need of the hour? What's the technology which we are longing for when it comes to altcoin? Because have duplicates of existing technologies will kill altcoin so we need a better altcoin based on current circumstances and future. Kindly share your thoughts about the kind of technology which we need.
Market is already saturated with many projects that will solved existing economic and social problems. Maybe some of them really did help specially in the pharmaceuticals or in drugs/medicine industry, but still there are a lot that needs to be desire.

I guess the basics, water and electricity conservations/consumptions, projects that can help and save lives in continents like Asia and Africa. As for the duplicate project, yes it's true some are just copy cat and didn't offer anything new in the table.
5504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does it have volume ? on: March 03, 2020, 10:42:28 PM
Sometimes, as a trader or an investor. you wonder why you miss out on tokens that does 400-6000 % increase.
Yep, sometimes when I looked at CMC and see huge pump, I just scratch my head.

You will also wonder how it missed your grasp, but do you bother to check if it has volume ?
Do you bother to check if it has buyers ? Do you further find out, if it a true pump ?
No, I didn't bother to check the volume myself, as others have said, you need to do your homework and I did not.

Be patient, and figure out your research functions well.

I hope i was able to present my views. do correct and suggest further opinions too
Of course everyday, as traders we should really be patience and not let our emotions dictate our trading activity otherwise, we might lose in the end.
5505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 02, 2020, 11:55:45 PM
^^ The closest in Medvedev at #4. He just need to be consistent but recently he suffered some unusual defeat so that's a big question mark again. Even his coach is not impressed specially last tournament.

Quote
Daniil Medvedev's coach wasn't impressed with the Russian's attitude against Jannik Sinner at the Open 13. Though the Russian beat the next gen star, he lost the first set before making a comeback. When I see Daniil with that kind of attitude, that energy during the first set, crying over all the lost points, it annoys me,” Cervara told L'Equipe.

https://www.tennisworldusa.org/tennis/news/Tennis_Interviews/84418/gilles-cervara-unimpressed-with-daniil-medvedevs-on-court-behaviour/

So it will take some time before we can see someone becoming #3 even if Roger Federer is sideline by injuries.

Yeah its strange how Medvedev has dropped off after a very good last half of last year where he was winning tournaments and even challenging for grand slams. But he has started the year off in poor form but hopefully he can turn it around soon. This could be the year for Thiem as he has started the year off well and like the last two years I think he can once again challenge for the French Open.
Yeah, Daniil Medvedev case is really odd, I mean he was on top and celebrated to be the next big star in tennis and lead the young generations to challenge the big 3, but for strange reason he is performing way below, his form is very poor, what gives?

I still remember Osaka in 2018, damn she was literally hot, takes the womens top seed, and then the start of 2019 after she change coach, everything went on a downward spiral.
5506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thai Bank Launches App For Instant Cross-Border Payments Powered By Ripple on: March 02, 2020, 11:34:26 PM
Yes, this could be one reason, despite so many hate coming from this community to Ripple, they remain relevant on the third spot because they really find a good industry wherein they can exploit their crypto.

And it's a good move, although bitcoin is also touted as cross-border payments, due to it's confirmation time, it seems that it will not be the likely candidate for it. And then comes Ripple to save the day, lol, again there are some benefits from using Ripple specially if you want to send someone money for emergency cross border and take less time to reach them than banks or bitcoin itself.
5507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III on: March 01, 2020, 11:38:32 PM
Yes, it's full of emotions, it's like he is pouring everything here and there are some kind of pride as well.

For sure, Wilder will still have supporters in this community, but the way he lost and making the stupid excuse, makes you question him even more if he still has it, psychologically to face Fury in a third match and win. So let's see if he can bounce back by having the third fight as schedule, its a big gamble though.

That's a very emotional and a decent self-motivation video. However, I don't think Wilder can close the gap in a very short time. I'm sorry to the Wilder's fan out there, but he already lost twice (actually) against Fury. I don't think the third fight would make any difference. He was outboxed in the first fight and outclassed in the second fight. As long as Fury still training properly, he would still win against Wilder 9/10.
5508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other Coins Halves too on: February 29, 2020, 11:59:08 PM
Exactly, this is the most touted and awaited halving as far as we know.

I think that no other halving is as important as the one for BTC. Afterall it's the biggest mining network and also the cryptocurrency with the biggest capitalization. The most ASICs and people mining it for profit. It's more important and arguably, if anything has an impact on crypto, it's bitcoin that affects everything in the space. Other halvings barely had a noticeable effect on prices and I think it's only because of BTC market movements at the time.
Although LTC halving is being look as well because after-all it is a small brother to BTC. And as far as I can remember, there could have been similarities regarding the price movement after halving (I could be wrong).

As for the rest of the coins halvings, they can be forgotten or at least no hype, or could probably just be used by manipulators to take advantage of the situation to make more money out of noob investors.
5509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storing coins not accepted on Trezor? on: February 29, 2020, 11:28:39 PM
Seems that these cold storage wallets don't offer services for smaller cap coins such as DAG or TOMO. Where is the best place to store these coins?

As a newbie, i do not think you need to worry about trezor.

You need to understand the basis first, and that is understanding how the crypto currency wallets work. From the paper wallet of myetherwallet, or the wallet applications such as imtoken or trust wallet etc.

After understanding operations of the basic wallets, then you can get a cold storage in trezor.
On the contrary, I think it is better to start with a good security like a hardware wallet.

How many times have we heard newbie being hacked because they store their coins in a online wallet and get phished resulting in lost of their precious coins and blaming the system? So there's nothing wrong with investing in a secure wallet such as Trezor in the beginning.

Unfortunately though, DAG and TOMO is not supported, so it might be better to go for the official wallet support. @Findingnemo provided the link already, now all the OP has to do is to check them out and understand how to transfer his coins and then secure it.

5512  Economy / Economics / Re: Wells Fargo Fined $3 Billion for 15 Years of Illegal Practices Affecting Million on: February 27, 2020, 12:17:58 PM
That is the scary part, misusing one's identify for the company's personal gain. And they didn't go anything about it, and as the article says, they admitted this shady practice of them. Kudos to the US DOJ for filing a case and exposing this fraudulent act, not even as big as Wells-Fargo can get away with it.

And as far as putting our money on crypto, of course there is still at risk, but if we know and educate our self, we could prevent someone from stealing it.

5513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 27, 2020, 08:01:59 AM
Today I'm thinking of selling my BTC even though it would be a big loss right now I've been with BTC a while and used to the volitility but this time I believe it's different

Can you explain in detail why you think that BTC is different?

I was a believer in BTC and the future of crypto I believed having 1 or more BTC was a smart thing to do that many would look back in 10 to 20 years wishing they'd bought some when it was still obtainable by the regular Joe.

I think many of us here feel still feel the same, we still believe that owning at least 1 BTC in our lifetime will be game changer in the next 10 years.

Now I feel that BTC will trend down hitting sub 1 dollars prices possibly even 0 over the next 12 to 18 months. the current coronavirus outbreak has been BTCs first real test and it failed hard and failed immediately. It's not a store of wealth and its failure to hold value in a economic down turn is spectacular and visible to all.  Today I think BTC is a failed experiment. What are your thoughts?

What do you mean failed? I'm sure you have been here when there are attempts from ETH, remember "Flippening", or even XRP "Rippening"? that was one of a real test for us, the price that time really goes down, many thought that ETH will overtake BTC but look what happens. Maybe your mindset is wrong, BTC is not an experiment per se, and if this an experiment, its a 10 year long experiment that has benefit many people globally.
5514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 02:18:16 PM
Wilder tried to survive but he just doesn't have anything left. Fury was clearly the more technical and smarter fighter and he showed that in both fights.
After the first knock down he was never the same fighter and Tyson Fury completely dominated the fight and fulfilled what he was preaching before the fight that we would knock out Wilder which i was having my doubts as he was never a knock out fighter but he came up with a different fighting approach than his first fight and Wilder did not have an answer to it. Wilder have a rematch clause and whether he will take that is to be seen and now we might see the Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight which will be another huge fight.
I also have the same doubts that the can knock out the Wilder.

But as soon as Wilder hits the canvass, the complexion of the fight changes, Tyson Fury more confident but cautious with Wilder's right. But Deontay was disoriented and it seems he surrendered already as Fury completely dominated the fight.

For me no need for a trilogy, Fury might go heavy again and the same results, Wilder getting knock out maybe under 7 rounds.
5515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outdated, Loves Ethereum on: February 23, 2020, 01:56:25 PM
I thought that we're done with John McAfee?

John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin!.

Let the issue rest, he already exposed himself by just riding the popularity of bitcoin during 2017. Now he is hyping Ethereum. He is a crypto influencer, so everything he said should be taken with a grain of salt.
5516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 20, 2020, 11:29:24 PM
Everything in life has pros and cons including gambling.

So it's really up to the individual, yes you might be tempted to enter the gambling world and forget all your priorities in life, but if you have the self control not to be greedy then you can't be a gambler. I have some friends who I introduced gambling, some of them didn't really like it because they have other things to do, they just play to have some fun. So it's a case-to-case basis.
5517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 17, 2020, 11:57:58 PM
Former world #1 and multiple Grand Slam winner Kim Clijsters is just giving her comeback at WTA tournament in Dubai. It's her first pro match since  losing to Laura Robson in the US Open in 2012 (!). She is a mother of three by now, but after watching the first few games I have to admit that she looks to still have it Shocked She is not in top shape, but she is just so talented and still has good zip. Will be intresting to see, if it's just some comeback for a few months or maybe 2-3 seasons - she is 36 now.

Wow, I still remember those days, with the women version of the big 3 or big 5. Her, Henin, Williams sisters, Hingis. So it's good to see her back, but I think she still needs more time though. Of course those elite players still have it, they just need to find the groove again.

Maybe we need to understand why she is on a comeback, any speculations as to why?

This is what she says:

Quote
“While there is a lot of work ahead of me in the next four months, my biggest motivation is the personal challenge involved – both physically and mentally, I want to test myself again.”

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/sep/12/kim-clijsters-comes-out-of-tennis-retirement-for-a-second-time

So she is very competitive and wanted to prove that she can do it at her age. This is not her first time to make a comeback, she did in 2012 and won so she have wait it takes and begin another quest for tennis glory.
5518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: February 15, 2020, 11:45:09 PM
ETH is already bullish, it was broken several barriers already, $200, $230 and $260.

And with that, I have no doubt that it could get past $440 sooner than we think. The altcoin market is already having a good bounce since the start of this year, and if this continue, almost all of the top ten altcoin will be back and could probably recovered at least 50% for their last all time high, including ETH.

@isaac_clarke22 - BTC did passed $10k already twice in the last week or so, maybe what you are saying is that its unsustainable at this point.
5519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 15, 2020, 10:23:31 PM

I am rooting for Howard, dude was the superman back in the day and he was one of the most entertaining dunk contest participants ever, I know there were better dunkers, thats given and I still think best one was probably MJ dunking from the free throw line (which probably can happen now but that was another whole level back in those days) but at the same time Vince was great in 2000 as well, even with all of that the most "entertaining" was Howard because dude knew how to really get everyone hyped like no other, dude literally went into a phone booth and changed to superman and came out, he was literally like that. I bet he won't have the best dunk tonight, sure he may not win as well, however I bet %100 he will be the most entertaining participant for sure.

Howard was pure entertainment during his prime at the dunk contest. He really did get the crowd involved with his phone booth change-to-superman.

But I don't think that judges will be sentimental, there are a lot of good pure dunkers in the contest. Maybe he will do some antics and again entertain the crowd, but I don't think that he will win again.
5520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Anypay’s CEO Says Bitcoin is Worthless For Payment; Disables BTC Payment on: February 12, 2020, 11:49:46 PM

I just LOL'ed at this fool, how can he tell that BTC is worthless as payment just because they have been double-spend?

We all know that is it not BTC's fault, I also have some inclination about this CEO, it looks like he is a shill of Roger Ver's Bitcoin Cash.
