5521  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Probably scam exchange? on: November 29, 2019, 11:42:06 PM
The only reason I can think of:

(1) a single entity owns this exchange
(2) someone just copy the design specially hydrax since it is the oldest amongst those exchanges

The same opinion as others, if I have doubts then I wouldn't even deposit a single penny on any exchanges not just the one the OP mentioned. They hadn't built enough reputation in the crypto verse to warrant "trust", in my opinion.
5522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency market continues to blood shed on: November 29, 2019, 11:12:36 PM
So far it's a good two to three days now for crypto to recover and bounce back from the last bloodshed and I'm sure everyone is very happy to see the price going green today. Although I'm expecting that Ethereum should be at least in the $180 region just to be safe.

So I guess, we need to take advantage of the situation again, trade and win and make profits, that's just how it is. Otherwise, if you continue to complain about this bloodshed and be negative and waste your energy, then it's better to stop today because this whole crypto sphere is full of ups/downs.

[...]
The way the Lakers played the game today, I can see they are going to be the team to beat this season. How they managed to win against the Pelicans makes me believe they are really a championship contender.

Though Lakers is a true contender this year, winning over the Pelican is not the measuring stick. With the amount of talent, it should have been an easy win for the Lakers but instead, they have been trailing for 3 quarters. It is good that they have been able to rally on the 4th leading to a win.

So far, the Lakers have won games but lose to tougher teams like Toronto and Clippers. Their strengths and weaknesses will be revealed when they face top teams like Celtics, Bucks, and Nuggets.

Well Pelicans did give the Lakers all they can handle, but it's Lakers fault for not moving the ball early that's why they struggles, and it nearly cost them the game.

But the thing is that they recovered, keep their winning records intact. But I must say that if they play like this against the like Clippers they are going to lose by big margin.
5524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $16M in Stolen Ethereum from Upbit Were Just Transferred on: November 29, 2019, 07:21:22 PM
Is this the same Upbit hacked news?

Because it was initially reported as $50 million, so when did the author got the $16 million figure here. Or maybe $16 million is already on the move, but the hackers addresses have been tag already so let's see how it goes.

Anyways, it just shows how hackers are always finding loopholes in any crypto exchange system. Good thing though is that they whole hacked didn't affect the market in a negative way as the whole crypto market in the last two days are going green.
5525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dump - The Worst Thing on: November 29, 2019, 06:51:24 PM
When BTC dumps, all other coins also dump, it is worst thing because even if bitcoin dumps, then it should not effect the other cryptocurrency price value in BTC. i,e when BTC dumps the price value of altcoins is also drops while it should increase because btc downs. When people will realize it that it is not in their benefit?

Because almost all altcoins are paired with bitcoin.

That's why when bitcoin dumps alt market are also affected negatively. There is a possible that when people are selling their bitcoin then they should move to altcoin. However, in this bearish trend, that is not the case because investors are still reluctant to invest on altcoin. So what happens is that when everything settles down, they return and re-invest on bitcoin only.
5526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: November 29, 2019, 12:31:42 PM
I just read the news that there is a looming storm coming in venues of the game.

Quote
MANILA (UPDATE) — A typhoon churning closer to the venues of the Southeast Asian Games in Luzon will follow the same track as storms Glenda and Reming which left scores dead several years ago, the state weather bureau said Friday.

Typhoon Kammuri was 1,470 kilometers east of southern Luzon at 10 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour and 170 kph gusts, said PAGASA.

The storm will be named Tisoy when it enters the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday or Sunday, said PAGASA weather specialist Raymond Ordinario. The 30th edition of the biennial games will be opened formally on Saturday.

From Tuesday, the storm will bring strong winds and rains to Southern and Central Luzon and Metro Manila, which are all home to SEA Games venues, he said.

https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/29/19/typhoon-kammuri-threatens-to-hit-during-sea-games-week-pagasa

So for sure this will be affected the athletes here so there might be surprises in the medal standings in the early goings of the game.
5527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 28, 2019, 11:34:35 PM
Luckily Kemba doesn't suffer a severe neck injury and now performing like nothing happened. It's like he managed to escape career ending injury because it's his neck that's sprained. Dropping 39 points coming from injury is really amazing.

Kemba is one tough man. He is injured just 3 times in his NBA career and barely missed games. Last year, he played all 82 games. That shows how sturdy he is. And now he performs very well even after an injury. Salute to this man.

Good thing that those injuries committed arent really that severe which i do still considered lucky.Once you do came from an injury would really have that chance for you not to play on your fullest performance.
I didnt even expect that he do play well on his 1st game after his recent injury.

Luckily Kemba's injury doesn't have a long term permanent damage on him. That's why in his first game coming back from that injury, he really did good and perform above expectations.

And the way he played against the Nets, it looks like he doesn't have the effects of that injury and it says how tough this man is. And it you have seen his highlights that game, he feel down, made twisted shots. Good win for the Celtics, they are just 2 games behind Bucks in the East and tied with defending champs Raptors.
5528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done to experiment to determine percentage of winning? on: November 28, 2019, 11:14:47 PM
Is there anyone here who tried to experiment in online gambling sites with a pen and paper?

Here's the idea, to determine the percentage of winning, I always think of doing an experiment where I would bet in an online gambling site then each bet will be written to the paper. A total of 10 bets per day in a 1-week duration and each bet will be written and will be recorded depending if the bet is winning or losing. Then conduct an analysis of the percentage of winnings to determine if there are some tricks we could find with these experiments in different gambling sites.

If there is someone who already does this, could you please share the outcome? At what Bet you usually win? and what platform could that technique be applicable?

You mean putting down everything and note your win/lost %?

In the beginning yes, I did like that but I would say it's tiring, Lol. As a gambler you don't need this experiment I would say. At the end of the end it boils down as how you managed and if you have money to bet and continue with your gambling habits, just saying.
5529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tete vs Casimero on Nov 30 on: November 28, 2019, 10:32:55 PM
For bettors here, line is already up in sportsbet. check the link before it's gone, lol

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/matchups/tete-zolani-casimero-johnriel-5ddcebae2836452d827baf83

Just use price boost so the odds will increase, its casimero's line is only 2.95 while 3.1 in pinnacle, one of the biggest sportsbook.

Thanks mate, I thought that sportsbet won't offer anything because the fight is getting closer. I would say it's a great odds.

I would agree that Casimero has been in the shadows of most Filipino boxers, but he has proven that he can go out and fight the best out of his division. If Tete is overlooking at Casimero and talking about fighting next Naoya Inoue, then he might suffer an upset here, just like when Joshua was talking about fighting Wilder next when he has his hands full in Andy Ruiz during their first fight.

Maybe you can find the answers in the the following threads:

Women in Crypto - Where are they and who are they?
How do we get the women on board?
No women in Bitcoin you say?
Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin?
A rising number of Americans own crypto and nearly 13 million women says study..
5531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China vowed to "slash" crypto exchanges, bitcoin prices plummeted. on: November 27, 2019, 11:21:31 PM
I guess we should already learnt our lessons in 2017 where China made a U-turn on BTC.

They are really anti crypto or at least anti bitcoin and they would do everything in their power to create a lot of chaos and fake news regarding bitcoin and cause the price to crash again.

The good thing is that bitcoin is very resilient which this kind of attacks, we have proven it already, so I guess we shouldn't be affected by any news coming from China because we know that they have every intention to destroy bitcoin. They don't want their people to invest on it because they will lose all their control and they don't want their money to go out somewhere.
5532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 7 on: November 27, 2019, 10:52:04 PM

What if you have a kid on the house and you're currently making bets online and you accidentally have a phone call or what so ever thing you might do on that time and suddenly the kid mistook it for some fancy game and make bets on his/her own, would you be upset and get angry to the kid? Or would you rather trust a child's play on this scenario?

Of course your first reaction is that you will be upset. But kids are kids, so you need to have a lot of patience for them. I don't think it happen to me, but the closest scenario I can think of is that when I downloaded something and just went out for a few minutes and then all of a sudden when I came back I see one of my niece playing in my laptop and all my downloads went back to zero.

Lol, I was so mad but I can't do anything and I learn my lessons not to do something important in front of kids.
5533  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am not lucky in trading - what am I doing wrong? on: November 27, 2019, 10:20:38 PM
Obviously something is wrong with your personal indicators so I would suggest you better try a different method. I wouldn't say that you are not lucky, everyone here started their bitcoin trading journey losing money. But then they adjust plus the experienced they gain make them a better trader.

If I'm in your shoes so better hardened your TA, someone already pointed out a good thread to start with, so I advise you to go back and read that thread and equip yourself with knowledge. So best of luck to you.
5534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Mistake of the Beginners Traders on: November 27, 2019, 01:20:15 PM
An extension of trading based on your emotions is trying to chase losses which a lot of traders end up doing, even more experienced traders sometimes. It's sometimes hard to accept losses, especially if you've risked and lost more than you initially planned through something like a fault in calculations, but cutting losses is an extremely important part of trading and something you should learn quickly. Things could always be worse, but be glad they aren't.

Before you even enter a trade, determine where you're closing a trade and where your stop is located and only change things when market conditions significantly change or when your initial technical analysis is invalidated (you should close in this case). This should help with closing too early or too late; I highly suggest using stops if they're offered on the exchange of your choosing.
Discipline is the best way to control our emotions. Beginners traders doesn't have plan when they are trading and it is the reason why they are keep losing. They do not know when they will enter or exit in the market, there are also doing FOMO and it is a factor why their portfolio is red. If they have plan where they have discipline to follow it, they can improve their trading skills and strategies.

It's easy to say to other users that the best way to control our emotions is discipline but it's not east when we in actual situation. Well, base on my own experience when I was a beginner I have a lot of mistakes even I try to ask by those have a lot of experience than me but in the end my decision should be grant in which just the same by those users that needs experience rather than by asking others.

Exactly, when we're all beginners back in the days it's really hard to control our emotions and I admit that made this mistakes. But as I grow and gain so much experience, I've learn to really think logically before pushing the sell button.

So for newbies out there, it will be really hard at times, but if you persevere and throw your emotions out of the window, sooner or later you won't be trading based on emotions and you don't know, maybe you could be one of the most successful traders here in cryptosphere.

5536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How anonymous is BTC/Can they find my name? on: November 26, 2019, 11:24:22 PM
Hi all

First post here on the forum Smiley

My wife made an account on Binance, made a deposit with her credit card, and then transferred 0.05BTC to a guy. That’s the only thing she have used the account for.
Now I’m going to receive some BTC on my wife’s Binance account, and he is asking for my name, but as told it’s not the same a on the Binance account.

The question is, are there some way that he can see what name the account was made in?

Have a great day

No, there's no way for the guy to see the name of your Binance account. Bitcoin addresses doesn't have any name attach to it.

Something's fishy here, just don't give your name to that guy, just your Binance deposit address, as he might be up to something not good with your account.
5537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency market continues to blood shed on: November 26, 2019, 11:00:31 PM
The longer you've been here, the less you panic about these sort of drops. I've only been here since 2017, but the memory of the huge 2018 bear is a very strong one. The market is volatile, we all know this, we are told over and over again, and we can see it quite clearly in this price charts.

Remember BTC had a high of $20k, but it also dropped below $4k at the bottom of the bear. I know the current drops look dramatic, but there is no reason for concern just yet.

I've been here since 2014. And frankly, the bear market of 2015 is a lot worse. So much worse that many people are beginning to think crypto currencies are just a fad and will soon fade away - that the tech is not viable in today's world.

Exactly, the 2015-2016 is worst compare to this one. The only thing that I can think of is that majority of people here are not present during the 2015-2016 bear market that's why they don't understand what's really going on with the market of today.

Everything is crypto market is on a cycle, and I'm sure most of you have seen only 2017 massive growth and thought that it will on a parabolic rise. This bear market is sort of a rude awakening for you guys, so If I'm your shoes just sit out this bear market and look at the long term, specially that bitcoin block halvening is coming mid next year and it could start a slow and steady phase for a bullish season.
5538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 26, 2019, 10:35:35 PM
This guy is not only fake, but also scamming people.

Most probably. And I am not sure if posts like OP are good by making people aware they should avoid him or do bad making this guy even more known/publicised.
This is my first time to hear the name of this guy and its good that OP is making aware about this new fake Satoshi. I don’t know why people are introducing theirselves as Satoshi even if they are not, its clearly the goal is to create panic and to scam people. Satoshi will never reveal his identity, its been 10 years and yet he is still anonymous.

His been in the news for the last couple of months and the OP has been 'exposing' this fake Satoshi.

Anyways, just like CSW, this guy just want to get attention, simply as that. I don't know if he is being paid to attend conferences or just show in crypto gathering randomly. But there's something in common between the two supposedly faketoshi, even though they have been ridiculed in social media and exposed, it doesn't matter. As long as people are going to feed their egocentric personalities, they will still go out and tell the world that they are the real Satoshi and troll everyone,  Grin
5539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: November 26, 2019, 10:22:10 PM
Wilder defends his title beautiful while Fury won when he faces Braun Strowman at the WWE Crown Jewel debut, gosh! This going to be a hell of a fight since they are both in good shape at the moment and they will also want to prove themselves by setting the record straight in other to avoid another controversy.

C'mon you can't count that WWE fight on Fury. After their first fight, he fought Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin so his part of the bargain is done. And then Wilder, Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz. That Braun Strowman 'fight' was just a get busy fight for Tyson Fury and of course to take advantage of his time while waiting for Deontay Wilder.

I'll favoured Deontay Wilder here because of his one punch KO. Yes, Tyson Fury is gifted fighter, but we have seen that his chin can't hold up against Wilder's right hand. And Wilder is like getting into his prime right now and it's just a matter of time before he will catch Fury and knock him out cold for good.
5540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Damaged salary on: November 26, 2019, 09:51:16 PM
I understand where you coming from mate, believed me I have been in that situation many times before in my life because of gambling. Lost everything that I have work in just one day so the feeling is very difficult. You feel stressed out because you know you needed money to like let say pay the bills, put food in the table.

So I need to think very fast, like go and pawn something or borrow money to your friends. But I completely change because I don't like that feeling and learn to prioritised everything before I go on my gambling habits.
