561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlackHalo Smart Contracting Client!!! Download now! Happy Independence day! on: July 04, 2014, 12:54:43 PM
Is source code available? I can't find it on the first two links, and the third 404s immediately.

No, moderators will not remove trust ratings except in extremely rare circumstances. I'm not sure if it has even been done before.

Nice, I'm assuming it also offers valid images to computers when plugged in, in order to print to printers without USB ports?
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Synching old coin on: July 04, 2014, 12:15:24 PM
Assuming the coin is fairly close in terms of block-processing code (of course, differing PoW, maybe PoS is fine), no. Checkpoints are only constraints on a received chain that already is based on a genesis block.

Well, they either work in the real world, get money, and buy bitcoins, or they mined early on when it was still profitable for basic computer hardware.

You've repeated the same thing three times now. Either edit your post to be a reasonable loan with collateral, or drop the idea. There's no way you're getting a reasonable amount of BTC by begging.
567  Economy / Lending / Re: [Need] I need some BTC ,who want.Read! on: July 03, 2014, 07:21:16 PM
Why do you need them? How long until you repay? What rate? Collateral?

You're posting in lending, don't ask for donations.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sign the BITCOIN RESTORATION PETITION!!!!!! on: July 03, 2014, 07:19:00 PM
Without effecting the coin.

First of all, the verb is to affect. Second, ASICs are an integral part of coin security. Stop whining.
569  Economy / Services / Re: Want a Bitcoin Vanity Addresses on: July 01, 2014, 09:40:22 PM
This way a third party has your private key which is a big no no. they can just input private key and withdraw from your wallet.

No, split-key generation is being used here. Properties of elliptic curve cryptography allow you to keep a private key, and provide the vanity searcher the corresponding public key. They search until their hash(their public+your public) has the right prefix in base 58, then they provide you the private key they found.

You then combine their private key half (which they provide to you) with the one you kept secret.

Seems like this process is fairly secure (split-key generation). However, is there any fee or payment needed?

Is this a coin-related project or an altcoin you're working on?
573  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: REQUEST: Blockchain.info like self-hosted API on: July 01, 2014, 12:15:12 PM
Which blockchain API? The receive payments one? Wallet API? Wallet JSON-RPC API? Data API? Simple query API? Websocket? Stock tickers?
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: add this feature to bitcoin wallet and we will fly on: July 01, 2014, 12:12:48 PM
Shortlinks are suspicious in nature, however this one directs to http://lmgtfy.com/?q=sarcasm.
575  Economy / Lending / Re: can someone lend me .003 btc -> no collateral<- on: July 01, 2014, 12:11:01 PM
but what if im really able to pay the money and just want to gamble it for fun thats why im minimizing it to a small loan like $1. Still explaining is pointless.

If you're able to pay it, just wait until you have it, and gamble it. Saying that you will be able to pay with your winnings is a non-argument here.
576  Economy / Lending / Re: can someone lend me .003 btc -> no collateral<- on: June 30, 2014, 08:58:42 PM
Just the fact that you want to gamble other peoples' money shows you're interested in the gambling more than the money, and as such, are defined as having a gambling problem.
577  Economy / Lending / Re: I urgently need 0.01 BTC on: June 30, 2014, 08:29:36 PM
The word "urgent" is also quite suspicious, can't bot development wait a bit?

Or, you could try running the bot in a sort of sandbox where actual market prices are used to determine what happens to a virtual balance you use for testing. There's no real reason for this loan.
578  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $4 on: June 30, 2014, 01:10:55 AM
Sent you a PM back. I just need your address and an exact decimal value of BTC (to be assured I pay you enough, depending on which exchange rate the $4 is)
579  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $4 on: June 30, 2014, 12:11:19 AM
I am willing to lend, if you still need it. I will need to know when you expect to pay it back. Since the situation surrounding this is, well, odd, I'm not willing to go below 10% weekly. I can drop it to 7.5% weekly if you can provide $4 of a major altcoin (Litecoin, Namecoin) as collateral.

Trust will be given (positive or negative) after this is completed.
580  Economy / Services / Re: Im not a Programmer .. i need help on: June 26, 2014, 09:43:06 AM
If you're not a programmer, I do not suggest investing your own time and effort into coding such a website. As a novice, you will not complete the site as quickly, will be restricted to idioms found in your textbook of reference, will have a more limited set of libraries that you could use (those that are heavily documented and don't use too many idioms in their use), and will not be able to respond to security threats as quickly as a seasoned programmer.

Find one, and help organize the business side of the website--how much to keep in storage, what kind of fees you'll impose, etc.
