I researched this software before making a purchase and you really have to dig to get to the truth. Here is the passage from the Readme.md file.
Located at:
https://github.com/GenTarkin/Titan/releases

Download the link that says source code. Its not really source code it is a small text file called ReadME.md and read the file. In the file you willo\ see this.

Upfront payment of $50 for version which has daily donation fee disabled.. see  this post for details & questions:

(vegasguy is handling processing & distro of the img for prepaid version)
TO PURCHASE go here: http://bitcoinlasvegas.net/kncminer-titan-custom-firmware-mod-paid-membership-page/

2. The version available for download as an img here on github in my releases, this has a built in .75% DAILY donation where your Titan mines for me roughly 11mins /day.

I bought the supposed version that is not supposed to have the code in it but I found it is still there. I would feel a lot better if they would come out and say that on the website. Maybe it is disabled and maybe its not. Who knows.

As far as I can tell at this point the free version has the donation code and the purchase version has it disabled. That is not as bad as I thought. I definitely do not mind buying it if it does not have the donation code.

This page explains it best.

I do know about Tarkin but that software takes over the miner once every day and hashes for tarken for about 11 minutes. I am not comfortable with that. I don't mind paying the 50 bucks but I think its a bit greedy to keep extracting payments everyday indefinitely thereafter.

After further researching some more I found out that the paid version has the automatic switch over for 11 minutes disabled. Only the free version mines for Tarkin 11 minutes a day. Sorry for the confusion.

Is there a way to do a soft reset to each Titan cube from BFGMiner?

If the coins did not make it into the block chain then try: repair wallet, then, if that does not work, salvage wallet and finally delete all roaming except wallet.dat and restart wallet which will re-build the chain. Your roaming has a chain where you tried sending. A new chain should only show what really happened in the chain. Good Luck. There is another command zapwallettxes=1 which rebuilds your wallet showing your address txes that took place in the chain but I don't think it is available in CAP

Hopefully others may be able to help more.

Thanks Woody for the ideas unfortunately nothing worked. Repair the wallet saw nothing wrong and rebuilding the the block chain and block index did not work. I guess the coins are lost unless there is a way to tell the wallet to unsend the coins or mark them as not sent, those coins are lost. Fortunately it is not my main wallet.

where did you get a script to buy and sell coins at exchanges?

Need a little help with a transfer of coins problem. I tried to send some coins from a wallet on 1 PC to my other wallet on another PC. I sent the coins and they never showed up in the other wallet. I tried a second time and the same thing happened. Both send show as 0 confirmations and the transaction IDs do not show up when I do a transaction search. Is there a way to recover the coins or resend them. The sending wallet shows that the coins are now sent but of course it appears they went to never never land. Any ideas?

thanks pazor_true  after much searching I finally stumbled upon hash-to-coins. I am testing right now. Seems like there should be more than one pool going for HBN.

I know there must be a pool to mine hobonickels but I can't find one. All the pools I checks are gone. Anybody know of a HBN pool?

Yes Tompool is a good one. They are down right now with a hard drive crash. That is why I have been looking for some other pools.

The lesson I think that we all have learned is to not keep too much coin on exchanges. Exchanges are not safe for long term storage.

Where can I get the latest wallet?

I think what happened is that the hacker set up a command and control center via code inside the Lucky 7 wallet that he asked Cryptsy to put online. This code allowed the hacker into a backdoor through the wallet. It must have been able to steal passwords as well. That is my guess. If it is an inside job then Big Vern will be destroyed as a result of that action. Cryptsy is bankrupted, Big Vern reputation is destroyed, his wife is divorcing him and he is losing his house. Looks like he is doing a bad job as a thief. I just hate seeing everyone losing but I guess the circle of trust is broken and there is no hope at this point. I guess I am to trusting and a hopeless optimist. Who ever is too blame I hope they are caught and punished.

cryptsy was hacked. In retrospect the only solution for cryptsy and other exchanges in the future is one of two options:
1. Get insurance. If that is even possible to do.. not sure if exchanges can be insured.
2. The community must support the exchange in the exact same way as in the movie Its a Wonderful Life.
The exchange could return the money once they have recovered. Once people panic and take all their money out the exchange is doomed. We panicked. The next time this happens the exchange should tell it like it is and ask the people not to panic. Now no one will get the money back.

We should not be so mad at Big Vern we should be angry at the hacker. The hacker is the one that should be brought to justice.
