So if anyone is running a pruned node, please upload a copy of the files.

Just to make sure you are aware of what you are doing: If you download the pre verified blockchain data from someone else, you have to trust them to not have modified the data.

Meint ihr Ehrlich Ein normaler Mensch macht was Ihr hier diskutiert Huh??

Ja.

Du kannst also z.B.

Wer Soll sowas dann nutzen erstmal CryptoCurrency Fach studieren muss  ?

568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13.2 Released on: February 01, 2017, 12:05:15 PM

So i think i understand you better.
Do you mean that i can have the Bitcoin Core wallet installed on my desktop and then that provides me with a coin address?

As many as you want, yes.

So i do not have to use the Luno.com bitcoiin id ?
Not sure i know how to set it up...

Depends on your OS, but its usually as simple as installing a programm.

I have allowed the program to stay open for a few hours and i can see now the synchronization is complete...it doesnt say 5 years behind anymore so i take it that is a good thing.

It takes some time to download and verify all transactions ever done. Currently thats ~100 GB.

I have tried so many utils now and some are being up by my antivirus as a Artemis! trojan/virus ...not sure.
I have downloaded them from sites that look kosher and or also from github so i take it this is a false positive.
As for using them and actually making them work , what a bloody head ache.

Not sure what you are talking about, but I wouldnt just dismiss the warnings by your anti virus software. Otherwise there is no point in having it.

I can not get any of them to work, the only one wihch does seem to work is Minderd.exe and Cudaminer.exe which are running through a gui i downloaded called Easy miner. I am also using a pool called litecoinpool. It has something like stratum+tcp://litecoilpool.org:3333  as the host name to mine against.
It seems to like my log in also.

Now as for the other tools like SGMiner and CGMiner God knows whats going on , all sorts of errors or warnings about SETX or SET and environment variables and then it doesnt even connecgt or it looks like it does and then it sits there doing something or nothing?  and then i dont know why the heck the screen clears and also why it doesnt tell u anything is wrong.... only when i press control-c then it shows me the error like could not connect.

I need some guidance here please, i am going nuts i cant handle this i dont know what i am doing wrong and maybe i am following the wrong sites or tutorials.
Either the guide is outdated and my version is different and then i also noticed with Slushpool they say that only certain utilities work with them and then again when you use the guis like nicehashminer they seems to work BUT how the hell does it know how u are? because u could be mining for nothing.

I really dont understand this , its driving me mad, i really just want to give as much detail as i can to whoever is going to help me and get me on my feet with this.
I also want to report enhancements or experience to the developers of these tools because im sure they can make them more robust .

Thanks for reading

Windows 7 Ult x64 on an MSI-A88X-G43, AMD X4 860K, GTX 650, 16GB Ram

Dont bother mining with that hardware, this is done with ASICs (special mining hardware) now. You would just raise your electricity bill and likely never see any coins. Its also not the topic to talk about this. There is an entire section about mining with profit (or not). -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=81.0

question i have for you is : did i miss something or did you see security flaws or ...  Roll Eyes potential ?

Have a nice day and thanks in advance - Elias C.

Sounds like how SSH does auth by keys instead of passwords. The server sends a challenge and only the person with the correct private key can reply with the correct answer. Signed messages can be used similarly I think. You have to make sure the message has some properties though. It might be a good idea to look actually look into common SSH implementations for this. They support ECDSA curves for this, so you might simply adapt this. It could potentially be build into future wallets.

#1 It must have a timestamp, otherwise it could be reused.
#2 It must have a validity period, otherwise it could be reused in quick succession by an attacker. The period must be long enough to make sure the user has enough time to sign, but not too long so an attacker that gets a hold of the message (e.g. 2 hours later) can reuse it. It should essentially single use, time might not be the best choice for that though. Maybe you can keep track of the messages.
#3 possibly more I missed now.

572  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda's trust rating? on: February 01, 2017, 11:16:38 AM
-snip-
If shorena removes their rating, I am 100% sure that lauda will be at 0 then.
-snip-

No, if I remove my rating Lauda will be at whatever score they had been before my rating. Well plus the additional "points" due to the rating by Vod.

There might be reasons. For example if a long standing, highly trusted account gets hacked, it's useful to get the warning (orange color) after a single feedback, as that can be quickly left.

Interesting point.

I gave Lauda new positive trust and the ? ? ? went away.

If what you posted was the reason behind the ? ? ?, Theymos may want to tweak the algorithm.

Counter-Ratings like yours (even though you didnt word it as such) are part of how the system works. If someone thinks my rating was given unjustified they can leave an additional rating to reflect this.

Woah i need 30 activities to be a member. SO whats the best thing to do? How to make my own thread? im just newbie using this forum Smiley Cool Cool

Post once a day, if you have something to contribute. Making a thread is no different from a regular post.
574  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk suggested as being the home of scammers. on: January 30, 2017, 10:11:13 AM
Thanks for that. I suspect the account is an alias though - this seems to be the danger when dealing with new accounts. The account is a short term registration for some discouraged practice. Is there a way to check to see if it is linked to an established member?

Admins can see IP addresses, but they usually keep out of these things. It might be possible to reveal something via the posted addresses[1] and blockchain analysis. There are no directly related addresses and it looks like the coins have been mixed though.

Yes, it does. Rebroadcasted it and will do so every 10 minutes. Please send me a PM when its confirmed.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.13.2 Released on: January 30, 2017, 09:58:27 AM
Hi, forgive me for asking, but i dont understand even after reading on various sites, what the purpose of this Bitcoin Core - Wallet is?

Its a wallet and a full node. Thus running it you dont rely on anyone else, the client confirms all information on its own.

I have a Bitcoin address with a site called Luno  (not Luna).
It is a long number starting with .....

... with? 1, 3 would be common prefixes for addresses, 5, L and K for private keys.

SO now how and what is the use of this Bitcoin Core application, it is just another means of how to get a wallet?

You currently use a service, not a wallet. You have no control over your private keys. If the company offering the service is gone tomorrow, so are your coins. Its no different than a bank, well a bank probably has more laws to follow than a bitcoin service. This is not only true for bitcoin core, which requires you to download the entire blockchain, but also for other wallets like e.g. electrum and multibit hd.

I dont know what they mean when they say YOUR WALLET ADDRESS on those command line utilities.
I mostly get authentication errors, such a pain to work with.

Sorry its an all-sorts post.

"Command line utilities"? Not sure what your question is, can you rephrase?
577  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Kann die chinesische Regierung Bitcoin-Guthaben "einfrieren"? on: January 30, 2017, 09:52:18 AM
Dazu kommen noch u. a.

I started the thread because I believe that Bitcoin talk is a valuable asset to the Bitcoin community, but if public perception is that the site is the home of gambling and ponzi sig spammers, and the perpetrators of fraudulent sales, then we will lose the benefits of that asset.

So is bitcoin and it wont lose its benefits because people think its "the drug/hacker/ponzi"-money.

PS: I left a neg, not that it matters on a newbie account
580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 20000Bytes transaction wtf??? on: January 30, 2017, 09:21:34 AM

I think with "advanced view" its more clear.

-> https://blockchain.info/tx/ef492f5dd516f51061a77bc148b8925e74557b1f31a42ca51098f26b82c23fb0?show_adv=true

Every input (shown on the left) needs ~148 (or 180[1]) bytes and this TX has 290 inputs. 290*180 = 52 200 ~= 52 135.
