Alt coins create intrest and money. Without that, there is no growth. With out growth and interest adapters of cryptos will be slow to non existent.
To those that support such acts need to think about what it makes it look like to the outside world that hardly understands cryptos. You do more harm than good in building confidence. On top of that what does it accomplish any ways? Epen? Wow. That gets you so much in life just like being the fucken top jock in high school... and really talk like this kinda puts you on the same rung as those folks.
Honestly, if a coin is not worth while, it will die as many have. Without any alts you really think for one minute people would mine? WTF try to mine with a single video card LTC or BTC... you aint gonna get shit, and sorry to say, money drives interest.
I'm agree with this vision. Many people is attracting by the alt-coin and not bitcoin or litecoin that without expensive mining rig don't pay very well in terms of coins or usd. But on the other hand there are too many crap coin that are died before the release. We don't need fork but we need only time and see who between these will survive. |

Am I over-thinking this? Why don't I write a script that makes pure RPC calls and generates a tx fee by sending myself coin every time a new block is detected on the network? Simple! Can just do pure RPC calls on a loop! I'm excited about this now. So every block will have a small TX Fee in it for miners. As it will run continuously I'll have to set it to a reasonable amount. 0.1 PMC? What do you think? 0.05 PMC? I have 2000 or so PMC set aside for this, so 0.1 would be enough PMC to fill 20,000 blocks. For me 0.1 will be fair |

Sell at 0.0002 is too much low...
i bought those 500,000 * 0.0002 = 100 BTC = almost 100,000 USD if MtGox price is used. You really think that is not too much for altcoin that started few days ago and actualy is a mere clone of SHA-256 altcoins with the only thing different in the fact there is no mining reward by default? I don't see why should the price be any higher than 0.0002 BTC except because of the speculation which is BTW something one can do so much easier and with more liquidity with dozens of other cryptocoins and other stuff. 100 BTC after few days of life isn't bad but I think that the target could be more. I'm too optimistic maybe but if is fixed the issue about the minimum tx fee and the net have a good hashrate this will be a good coin. The real problem here is that are many, maybe too much, people that are sitted on their coins and don't do anything to assure the best for the future. |

It would be too much. To make it worthwhile you need every block to have at least some coins in it, and at 5, you'd quickly run out of funds. I will be sending out payments to miners of 0.25 PMC this evening for every block they have mined with 0 coins in them. From this morning onwards. Then will keep doing so until the new wallet is released which should fix the issue. Yes is too much but in this manner we donate 5 PMC to these miners that help premine to stay in life. If I know that there are random blocks with a "mega" reward then I think that more and more miners will enjoy our cause. |
