Well just for reference, Vert came out of nowhere and did a huge rumble and pump and settled down for awhile, I think MYR has potential to do the same. That is exactly what I think.. and I know what I am talking about, as I was with VERT since price was 1% of what is it today  and vert didn't do it over night. why do people wanna rush things? give it time to mature, mine it, hold it, let it grow. coins launch at day one, are on an exchange at day two and dead by day three. |

started mining qubit, seems to be very power saving, just like the other algos too. i'm getting 3mh for a 270. is this alright? which parameters are most efficient in optimising? thanks a bunch  Try playing with -g and -w parameters. -g is number of threads and -w is worksize. For qubit on 6770 i'm using -g 8 -w 256, but on 270 these parameters can be not optimal - you must try yourself... i was using the parameters from the pool site, but thanks a lot really like how quiet it is all of a sudden without the fans imitating airplanes taking off  |

We really need a good hardware database with the best settings for different hardware, as evidenced by the posts above ^ please add it to the front page when up, will contribute. and add a category for power consumption. skein and groestl are awesome. |

My experience is more clock = more hashrate. Not like scypt.
I use only setting -I 19 -g 10 -w 512 --lookup-gap 2

You should be analyzing past daily performance, not trying to extrapolate what daily will be from hourly. What you don't see happening on DGB like other coins that use KGW, is difficulty takes a couple rounds to really meet up the hashrate - so behind the scenes, while you're oblivious to it, large hash farms like multipools are able to mine disproportionately more coins for the hashrate, then leave when that opportunity fades. They're doing the same thing here, but DigiShield is a bit more responsive than KGW. It offers a smaller window for big farms to do that, resulting in a more equitable mining experience for the whole.
This doesn't somehow make the mining worse - it's just a new behavior you haven't seen before, because DGB is the first one to innovate and use this system.
well, it obviously doesn't safeguard from multipools now does it? i guess i'm gonna do it like them and hop in when diff is low and switch when it's high. |

In fact in works so well we are talking with the Dogecoin devs to potentially help them implement something similar. Would Dogecoin implementing Digishield benefit the Digibyte community? If so, how? Digishield getting credit for warding of the multipools off dogecoin would be a huge PR boost. Gotta say thumbsup to that would try to set memclock to 1000mhz though.  and it's another 10 watt lower, cards running considerably more quiet, temps are down 5-10 degress.. why isn't every coin skein? |

130Mhash seems about right given the difference of 270 and 280X (1280shaders vs 2048shaders). Dont have any 270 though, intensity doesnt seem to matter for me. just run it on i 7 Btw remember that skein algo isnt memory intense, so set down mem speed to 1000mhz or whatever your card support (keep in mind that cgminer will bump it up to stock if you go to low). Will give you quite an cooler card. holy.. lowered intensity to 7, put memclocks to 1400, plugged it into cgwatcher.. everything working fine and i'm now using 100watts less than with scrypt.. wtf?!? |

I 13 ... should get a little more I'm getting 208 per 280x so I guess somewhere along 160 should be the benchmark for 270 cool, thanks a lot. 135 seems to be it. had it on my normal scrypt settings of i20 which was giving me my exact normal hashrate of 1.4mh. left me puzzled. cards run a tiny bit cooler but i'm saving a frickin 70 watts!!!!! i think i like skein |

dnaanders your complete lack of understanding of the miners concerns is worrying. If all the coin has going for it is day trading why mine it when we can mine a profitable coin and sell that to buy into CR trading? I fell bad now because me and my housemate went halves in our rig and now I need to break it to him I wasted 2 days on a coin with an ignorant dev. I just hope I can empty my wallet before there isn't enough hashrate to move CR.
Listen, we are making changes as we speak. Please disregard the dev that made that post, as well as a lot of the posts on the previous page. I still trust you guys. My suggestion is to increase the block reward every week for four weeks (up to 4k/block), then decrease. This will bring plenty of new miners to come on board while we establish the community and then engage in a phase that will increase the value of the already mined coins. That's right along the lines of what we were thinking, six months is much too long. Perhaps a month long like you said, and increase it in smaller increments at a faster rate (every 3-4 days)? This is sounding much better, while still stopping a massive insta-mine advantage. Thanks, this may be exactly what we do depending on the overall feedback we get. i'd like this very much. you should be keeping a steady net hashrate. some have enough and leave, others see increasing rewards and come on board. sounds good. |
