561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One more filed smear campaign against Bitcoin on: January 04, 2024, 05:26:42 PM
When I as we I meant those who have panic sold their holding and it's sad people don't understand that just one event like spot ETF approval cannot define Bitcoin's future and people should stop believing in these smear campaigns because no one can predict much about crypto or Bitcoin.
One truth is, if you’ve been in this space for a couple of years and I don’t mean just having to invest in Bitcoin alone but to be involved in some news field or forum to discuss it’s mechanics and development, you would come to realize just how safe ot is and wouldn’t be moved by just any news or FUD that is being spread around.
The centralized nature of aspects to Bitcoin doesn’t define nothing of the currency. What they ought to realize first is that, Bitcoin is decentralized and having a decentralized system defined by centralized system is a big fraud and flaw. It just doesn’t make any sense. It’s always been a consensus of users and still would be.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Strikes Again on: January 04, 2024, 06:50:40 AM
Funny how a guy with so many failed predictions is so popular. That's probably why there are a lot of people who enjoy watching him.
It’s that simple,
He’s got the nerve to take his predictions to the mainstream, to the media and he’s bold enough to say it yet again and for a second/third time. He’s always out there saying things and people are out there listening. Even still, people have built a correlation to his prediction in an inverse relationship after a move towards what he had said.

We can’t always expect all that falls off his mouth to be false and even now, I don’t believe he has had he’s say on Bitcoin based on what he knows or out of his own complete thought on the innovation but, an outburst based on what’s been perceived and this time, he just might be right and buy himself some more listeners.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many individual holders of Bitcoin are there? on: January 04, 2024, 06:30:50 AM
Ask yourself. How many Bitcoin addresses do you have? I believe I have generated more than 100 Bitcoin addresses. And most of them are used, and a few are blanked. So how could we assume how many humans are Bitcoin holders? There is absolutely no way to predict or identify real human holders. A merchant uses a lot of addresses on the payment gateway, but it's a human or company. Any tool can't identify the address owner; hence, it's impossible to count how many humans are holding Bitcoin.
If by any means any and every address could be traced right back to an individual, then that becomes a problem for Bitcoin as, some vital part of the development is its anonymity. You either get to lose that willing by tying yourself and identity to some address or not.
For most individuals, they change address just as you want because it’s that easy. Most times, you can generate several addresses on same wallet or using several wallets without having any link to show that it’s managed by a single individual or entity.

@OP, you just wouldn’t get that answer, find or develop a tool that can accurately do that. Very few and well funded exchanges have been able to archive some sort of linkage and that is mainly due to reports on an abuse from an address and consequently, bookmarking the address with all related transactions on it using its platform and the next is, signed addresses and addresses used per user on signature campaigns.

It doesn’t speak volume on the lost of addresses used by on forum users and off for users.
By the way @OP, the information you seek has got little to no good to do in the cryptospace.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The general public still doesn't understand Bitcoin is still growing on: January 04, 2024, 06:19:03 AM
At the bookstore today I saw some book about the rise and fall of crypto. ~~

How do we educate people that Bitcoin is a continuously growing global currency that is still in its early staged and each big boom and crash is just its early growing pains?
People should draw much clearer lines between the term "crypto" or cryptocurrencies and "bitcoin".

The book you described seems crazy to talk about a fall just because the FTX thing. But we know that "crypto" that includes altcoins has had lots of falls.
Not just clear lines about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and cryptos but, they need to do their research to understand well enough that there are nominations, aspects to the functionality of every development.
How are they getting to bring an aspect (FTX), an exchange to represent a whole and they talk about it as such! An exchange that even when cut off, it could do nothing to the whole system but rather teach a lesson on how irrelevant or how Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency idea was first and foremost supposedly a p2p currency.

I guess the writer actually did bait the public with that as, some ignorant nerd who would rather see Bitcoin fail and have a good laugh would be eager to get in on the story rather than read a much more better written book on cryptography.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: January 04, 2024, 06:09:51 AM
I know everyone has their decision and perspectives regarding to this but from my knowledge and complaints I've seen on this forum and other sources, most persons ends up with negative experiences from this.
Trading is risky and investment must be done wisely.
I recommend that you get some knowledge so you could do some analysis for yourself and check those signals before using them. This would help you have an idea of the risk your getting into.
Always do a good background check up before investing in any project.
You know, upon first having to read that, I missed the from my knowledge part. I was really focused on the part where you said complaints and that felt like a page taken out of popular opinion except, you are saying the same thing then, I would have said, get your own experience with it if need be to have a proper perspective and then, you can talk about it even better.
One thing is for sure though, being such a dependent is one way to discourage yourself and not believing in the things you can do as per being creative with analysis, indicators and even them signals.

Quote
👉 This advice might seem a little controversial, but I think it's helpful. Stop over diversification, what I call over diversification is putting your money in every crypto project that comes your way.
I think it's far better to have few crypto that you are constantly, than investing violently in so many project.
Can people really do that?
I mean, that would be bringing gambling in almost all its attributes to investing. While it might be looked at as throwing away pennies, the penny could be accumulated to make a dollar. You be sure on your terms that, it’s going to boom but, even on your terms, 99% will still be flawed.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Sometimes tips the securities at the mall or local shops on: January 02, 2024, 11:23:45 PM
Tips might be some means to encourage goood practices in a work pace but, it’s based on the person getting the top either ways. In one way, you could easily divert there attention to be ultimately focused on the tip and you would find a set of staff being nice for no just reason and even deviate from the main job at hand.
Perhaps having a general tip box would be a way to go but, I don’t really like the idea of having to patronize the security unit. It’s supposed to be a focal point in an organization and tips might very much shift their focus. Perhaps you could tip them through the management of need be.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: January 01, 2024, 10:50:51 PM
My biggest fear is losing my hard earn to something as volatile, vulnerable and uncertain as btc. What's the possibility you invest without losing. Is it guaranteed in this kinda market?
I think the word guarantee shouldn’t really be used when talking about investment and investment choices because, business or investments is a profit/lose space and as such, it’s only natural that at some point, either of the possible resultant on a decision would come to play.
You must learn to accept lose because, it would come. Be it Bitcoin or some other field of investment, you would lose at some point but, what makes the most importance is that, your wins should be more than your loses.
One who is scared of loses is one who isn’t ready to make money. Your phobia for loses might save you some risk that could have ended in loses but, it would also make you lose opportunities that could have benefited you as well.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What course can one study in university that can build potential in bitcoin? on: January 01, 2024, 09:45:18 PM
Apparently, Bitcoin isn’t some course you get to study in universities, at least not yet and I don’t see how it would come to be that because, it’s simply money or a currency, it’s utilization and trading. You wouldn’t get to see that, especially in the face of rejection government of our world as it is.

The closest you could get to studying some course with some relativism to Bitcoin would be you having to take a course in blockchain technology. Blockchain isn’t Bitcoin specific but has connections on how to store ledger in a rather open and verifiable manner without manipulations.

You could as well try some coding corses. It would bring you a lot closer to what is obtainable in our world today.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could it be possible of isolating proud in Bitcoin during advertisement on: January 01, 2024, 09:22:31 PM

Okay, I’ve had to read and try to get a base understanding about your whole composure but, your just all over the place and jumping on context even with the fact that, I don’t see how you came up with the idea of proud (pride) and Bitcoin.
I don’t get you but, I feel you should have been more explicit in trying to make your points. Try making it in clear terms and believe me, you would get the responses you hope to get on this thread.
I don’t believe you’re not an English speaker but, writing might be the issue here. Try and get it fixed and perhaps, come up with better composure and a topic that would have a good correlation with what is being discussed.
570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What many of us newbies are getting wrong about merit on: December 30, 2023, 08:10:14 PM
I must appreciate the ample time you would have put in to create this thread but, I wish you had used it to come up with something different you know, some other idea that would be while my informative to not just newbies or beginners but the ranked forks as well.
Like, I came to see yet another thread with merits for a header and am like, “another thread on merit again”…

Well, the idea is, some of the schemes becomes too polarized that, no body turns a second eye again or falls prey. Instead of being too concerned to create another thread, make this as a comment where you find a thread of this nature, it would be more valuable that way. Exposure might be your problem but, hope it makes meaning there.
571  Economy / Economics / Re: Sometimes tips the securities at the mall or local shops on: December 30, 2023, 08:01:43 PM

tipping is usually only for businesses too cheap to value their employee's (EG waitresses)
if a business cares about its employees they should fairly pay their staff. let their wage be the appreciation of the job that they do

secondly, security guards these days are just a visual deterrent, they are not allowed to get "hands on" even if they know a thief has stolen goods on them. all they can do is observe and report
I think one thing the OP forgot is that, they are doing their job. You don’t get tipped for doing your job, of course it’s your job, it’s what you’re employed and paid to do. A tip comes in due to the nature at which you deliver the service or product. That extra work you put in, that gesture, that passion shown towards the appreciation of the customer, to ensure they know that they are valid is just what might attract a tip or promotion from your employers.

In fact, a good security company is one that discourages any form of tips to members of there security unit. Why you might ask?
It’s one way to ensure they do there job without any form of discrimination or prejudice due to the fact that, one caught in the act, be it customer or staff is one that has favored you in terms of tips in a prior time. Having no reason to be grateful ensures you satisfactorily of mind, conscience and service to the company deliver on the job.

Like good Franky1 already said, you’ve got to pay well to archive this of your security unit.
572  Economy / Economics / Re: When the world is evolving, follow the trend. on: December 30, 2023, 07:47:22 PM
It is very much advisable that digital economy should be embraced, no one would want to be caught naive when the world evolves fully. One thing is certain that a time would come where all financial transactions would be done digitally and there'd be no hard note transaction, at that time, it'll be difficult to secure an asset for oneself so it's very much best to start now that its still being nurtured.
The development of the internet has been a spark in our world towards various means of doing things in an easier, faster and over a wide space. Several units to our traditional lifestyle have come to take a page and even now, we’ve got the metaverse coming to play where we would have a whole different digital presence to shorten the gap of time and space even more.
All these are possible because of one single factor, the fact that, it could be controlled or exists within a centralized space.

This is where the idea of Bitcoin and a good number of decentralized coins out there if any at all seems not to fit. It exists outside centralized systems with the exception of the exchanges that operates within the centralized spheres.
Even in the phase of rejection, it’s important that you stay strong as, you don’t let the perception of the people of the world shake your core to the point where you lose out on a development that might run the finance of our future.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming altcoins on: December 30, 2023, 07:31:10 PM
I might not have any coin to update you about as, I’m about the same information myself as well as see how some of these pre launch, presale and updates on these upcoming coins does come to play but, I couldn’t help it but notice just how OP, you seem to respond to just a lot of comments on the thread. NO, you don’t do that. It constitutes to spamming.

Did you do your own research? I wish you good luck.

Cool. I will follow the projects you mentioned above. Thanks.

How Solona become so powerful which is coming from Nowhere? That's quite interesting. Isn't it?

Umareum? Cool. I will check that coin too.

Having multiple and concurrent responses as a user is one way to spam on the forum, you can quote all the comments of interest in one and respond to them one by each. Your single line sort of acknowledgment to them even makes it worst.
Perhaps you don’t know or the rules are flexed a bit here but, spamming is an offense on the forum, concurrent response constitutes to that and should be avoided.
574  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Agboro and masquerade on: December 30, 2023, 07:21:05 PM

At first, I been Dey try relate am to the forum but e no go and since, na Nigeria societal matter, e no bad to talk about am but in all, it’s okay.

575  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The danger of blaming everything on politics on: December 29, 2023, 10:59:42 PM
Some of the way we fit dey push forward for our country now na :
1. Planning well with our resources and time
2. Finding something legit and giving it your very best
3. No shame to hustle even if it means starting small.
I know say our politicians no good or and the kind of politics we Dey practice for we nation under this democratic watin I no know is one of the worst kind in the world but, an even more worst thing we go do to ourselves na to forget watin we got Dey help ourselves archive in search for the easy way out.
So many people don get to give themselves up to the world because, them just concentrate on the government to be the source and solution to them issues. If government no con provide solution as them no Dey do so, na em be say life don end for them. Na so e just be but that na big mistake.

Just like OP don state for that quote so, it should be a time when you reach out yo your mental capacity and create ideas. Not just to create them but, allow them to materialize into watin fit bring you salvation. I no say e easy to talk than do but, na to blame all on government way Dey kill man o.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a Replacement for a College Savings Plan on: December 29, 2023, 10:53:43 PM
The risk is always there when you are thinking saving on bitcoin and suddenly, bitcoin price drops heavily that you won't think it will recover anymore. In order to lessen the risk, I suggest you go on saving both in bitcoin and in traditional mutual fund, that way is safer than go all in with bitcoin.
It’s a lifetime sayings right? Or should I say, a futuristic sort of savings as you’ve got to withdraw and enjoy your accumulations at some point in your life and so yeah. If that be the case, you could always down play the falls in the Bitcoin market because, it’s sure to rise as at when the time is due.

Where it poses a bit challenge is, when the coin is down and you have a red to make some withdrawal for a project, it usually comes with a lot of discomfort to activate any plan at such point. Having the literal understanding that your selling at a lose, that could be depressing but, it doesn’t mean you might not be in profit if your coin have survived some bullish runs.

Still, it’s better you understand what is at stake before you make a decision on what’s the best way to have your life savings.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: December 29, 2023, 10:33:14 PM

I often try to view gambling to be for matured minds. Don’t really subscribe to the age differentials got adulthood and what’s legally binding by law but, for the mature minds. Unfortunately, that isn’t quantifiable and as such, we keep having those gamblers that would take a deep dive into what ever is paraded to them. Either through promotions or unsolicited/unconscious broadcast of wins. It’s pretty motivating I tell you especially, when it’s all by this individual whom you know, in your locality or is right there before you. He immediately becomes an evidence that it’s possible and you go about searching for that big win and forget the luck factor to gambling.
Not everyone can win and so, even with these broadcasts going on, still play within limits.
When it doesn’t bring you any security issues, I feel it’s okay to tell just those you hope to share it with but, be sure to know that, not everyone would be happy with your successes.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 29, 2023, 10:17:41 PM
The overhyped Arsenal didn't meet up the expectations, they settle for a loss and that's one of the pure weaknesses of Gunners this season. They don't know how to take chances, this was simply their chance to top the table but they relent and didn't grab any golden chance. Mikel Arteta will talk to his players after the game and they will prepared themselves for more incoming matches, this is a strength that need to be proven by the entire team, Gunners are ready for the EPL title race and they won't easily give up, there's always room for bounce back remember.
It’s safe to say Arteta is the real Arsenal now. Without him telling his boys what to do on the pitch, they just don’t get to be creative enough. I see that a lot with them these days and yeah, we could actually say they don’t get to take there chances and that’s pretty bad but, you can agree that they are still within a safe zone to be title contenders. They’ve not derailed from that path yet and it’s really possible that we could have them lifting the league trophy because, Manchester City don’t seem to be putting much effort to be in the race this season.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to consider before selecting an under 3.5 football prediction on: December 29, 2023, 10:10:05 PM
Adding to your top 3 tips, analyzing coach tactics and historical data between the two opponents is a good idea. You are correct.these tips doesn't guarantee a bet to win. These are a few steps that ensures a bet on a team is not bad.
I think anyone looking out for guarantees in bets shouldn’t be gambling. Gambling is one place where you’ve got almost zero guarantees and even your wins are subject to principles else, you could lose them just like that.

To add to what’s been discussed, while looking at the head yo head between teams, I’ll like yo go the length and name just one team and a coach that have been known to play his games around the under score line. That team is Atlectico Madrid, managed by Simeone. His never been known to want a lot of goals even on a very good day and so, when you see Atlectico Madrid having so many goals on there score line, you could tell the team is out for fun.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 28, 2023, 11:59:17 PM
But have been wondering and wanting to ask, does a license guarantees that a casino won't scam its customer's going forward.
The closest thing to a guarantee you could have is on LG products or perhaps Hisense where you get an offer or reinstallment within a designated pattern of damage and within a period as well. Even that plays around a T&C.

There is no guarantee to anything my friend, not even life itself has got a guarantee on it. License doesn’t really stop a casino or sportsbook from perpetuating some serious crime but, it becomes some means to ensure they don’t or maybe have them been called upon.
There isn’t anything wrong with banking on the license of a company for trust, at least, having a license proves you give some cents on your company than not having one.
Your better off with a licensed company than one without a license.
