Yes. I think it is unreasonable. It is the way they got into this predicament where they cannot deliver on-spec or on-time.

They took people's money -based upon lies- as capital to build a product (that doesn't exist as of yet) and even with their irresponsible preorders, couldn't finance their endeavor? They are still accepting pre-orders, now for a $25k vapor-box as well. You're telling me they can't find a venture capitalist to kick them a few hundred grand to deliver their products on time? They don't have enough collateral to secure a bank loan?

How can the lead time be the same for a completely undesigned and untested device be the same as one that is already on the production line and due to hit the shelves in a week?

Thanks for answering.  So, in a nutshell, your chain of logic is completely non-existent and meanders all over the place, breaking down like a Ford fresh off the showroom floor.  That's kind of what I thought, but I had hoped that maybe you had some sort of logical consistence to your constant haranguing, but my hopes have been dashed, sadly.

I will try and present it in simpler blocks for you:

Why is the lead on devices ordered today the same as when they hadn't even been designed or built?

Why isn't the money they have collected enough to put stock on their shelves, so to speak? Generally, profit taking doesn't begin in a business until the business becomes profitable. So why aren't their margins on the 'singles' already preordered put back into procuring more units, thus reducing lead time?

If the money isn't enough, why haven't they sought capital elsewhere? VC funds fly around all day, for far stupider plans than this. The fact that they still don't have machines leads me to believe they haven't successfully sought it out.

So is it safe to assume that you think it's unreasonable to expect the batch of orders after the pre-orders to take 4 - 6 weeks?

Yes, the aforementioned questions that remain unanswered lead me to believe it is unreasonable to still have a 4-6 week (that could turn to 4 months without explanation, apparently) lead time. You are telling me that they are building these as orders come in? Not in batches? Seriously?

In summation, THIS PRODUCT STILL DOES NOT EXIST.

So is it safe to assume that you think it's unreasonable to expect the batch of orders after the pre-orders to take 4 - 6 weeks?  By what logic do you operate, exactly?

I think it is unreasonable to string your customers along with bullshit for nearing four months now and still not have a functional product to show. I operate by the logic of instant gratification...I am american after all.

That's nice, but to be honest, I don't care what your view is as far as that goes.  I asked you a very specific question.  Now how about answering the question instead of avoiding it?

I'm still confused to why you care. Did you order a single? If not, why keep posting here if it is your determination that BFL is a scam? Do you have nothing better to do with the precious little time you have on this earth?

Everyone who mines has a vested interest in a game-changing device such as BFL is claiming to release...

Aside from that, I will troll the fuck out of any company as unprofessional as they have shown themselves to be. Yesterday I wasted fifteen minutes stringing along a credit card consolidation company with fake numbers and names because they called me off the DNC list.

I asked earlier today and was promptly informed through the close of January for preorders everything after that they said to expect 4-6 weeks but it could be shorter depending on when next batch was done processing. I so far have no skin in the game but am excited to buy one when people review it. I have no mining rigs setup and no current setup capable of running anything but FPGA so this $/Mhash makes it payback in 4 ish months at 6$ per BTC!

I will say the people have been nice in their communications with me. I hope no one ran Inaba off because I would really want to hear what the revamped units do.

Ahahaha...

567  Economy / Speculation / Re: fraud on bitcoinica, who got margin calls point in point too ? on: January 18, 2012, 02:50:09 AM
The main thing is - if this is not zhoutong, what could this XMAN earn from this trade?
he just liquidate me virtually. No trades on mtgox.

But who's got interest in this trade?

Liquidation trade was made on mtgox, so the only one reason to make profits is to put 20 000 order for sell at 6.99 and buy until 6.98 (to liquidate me and take profits at 6.99)
this didnt happen.

May be in equador police do nothing about this. but here this is a crime.

Is anyone here was liquidated right point in point ? please contact me.

for christ's sake...
568  Economy / Speculation / Re: +200% profits on bitcoinica in 1 day on: January 18, 2012, 02:14:12 AM

but this is a c[r]ime, and people who do the crime should  go to jail.

A crime how, exactly? You do know what a bucket shop is, right? And you know why they aren't allowed in a regulated market?

Will the internet investigate? Where will he be jailed, or do you plan to have him digitized and encrypted in a flash drive?

571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoinica: When does it implode? on: January 17, 2012, 07:40:42 PM
714 schooled all you fools.

This is from the perspective of a guy whose buttcheeks actually see the light of day on a regular basis.

I think the pyramid schooled 714. He hasn't been back.

Also, your comment about buttcheeks is...well, confusing...

TipTopGem's stones are NOT sample stones

What does this even mean? It is essentially nonsense.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange Bank Account closures. on: January 17, 2012, 03:44:49 AM
Gold is just a currency for the most part.

Nope. Gold is used in a ton of industrial processes. Probably not as big as silver, but still very much a player.
574  Other / Off-topic / Blockchain woes... on: January 17, 2012, 02:25:07 AM
I have always though people bitching about the large blockchain were being melodramatic...that was before my client bugged out and refused to work until I re-downloaded it. That was mid-day yesterday, and my connection usually runs about 30mbps average. Part of it is obviously my computer going to sleep and cutting off wireless, but christ almighty, this shit takes forever. I can see where it is a huge inconvenience.

Luckily, I had some old(er) coins on there that were confirmed and allowed me to complete the payment I needed to make, but as of yet, I am still not current.

TL;DR -

Unfortunately, that's just some photoshopping I did for my eHarmony profile.

You will be zhoutonged quick if you don't know what you're doing. I recommend reading up on margin trading as much as possible and playing with small amounts before you commit any real resources. There is a ton of stuff on this forum, just remember that the search box is only for the thread or subsection you are on, so if you want to search the whole site, do it from 'home'.

This sentance cracked me up considering the operating costs I have:

It looks likely that miners using GPUs will need to migrate to FPGAs to remain profitable during 2012.

I don't NEED to do shi*t to remain profitable.  Doing the mental math, this guy thinks I should sink over $10,000 into new FPGA hardware to replicate my current farm.

I don't think so.

PS- For my farm to become un-profitable, the difficulty MUST stay at 1,250,000 while the price per BTC declines to 60 cents.  I seriously doubt that will happen.

I know I asked a bunch of months back, but you got that hydroelectric shit, or what? That is some dirt cheap power.
