561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 16, 2024, 08:39:09 AM
Yes, but only focus about the information you're looking for.

Let's say you don't have any problem with KYC, then there's no need to check the casino has a mandatory KYC or not. But you're in Russia, since you know many sites had sanctions Russian citizens to use their sites, you need to check whenever Russia is restricted or not in their site.
Exactly one should be sure to read terms and conditions before proceeding to click the agree button during registration.
This will definitely come in handy for the gambler especially for those conscious of privacy compromising activities like KYC.
However a lot of persons don't actually go through these terms and conditions which may make them end of getting fed up of certain terms in the future.
Most people don't read some of these terms because they are usually very long and bulky and spending a lot of time reading long agreement texts or articles isn't something a lot of persons can do.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 16, 2024, 08:28:32 AM
Most gambling games are based on luck. Even those ones that are easier to win with mathematical experience still require some luck for the odds to be in your favor most of the time.
Some persons would cash out that amount while some others will restake to increase their winnings. It is a matter of choice and luck. If the gambler eventually cashes out and later finds out that the stake he had in mind before withdrawal was a right one he would eventually be pained.

It is normal human nature for people to wish they staked more if the win and wish they hadn't staked if they loss. However for an amount similar to that in your image ,a lot of persons will definitely cash out.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Times 03/Jan/2009 - High quality image? on: January 15, 2024, 07:21:13 PM
Wow that frame is very nice and gorgeous.
This one is even more gorgeous! But... the price and delivery costs are not attractive. Plus, I want to make this myself.
Whoa the price is quite huge I would say.
Anyways Your choice is nice too but I seem to like the first one more.
If you could be very resourceful in creating that frame I would say you go for it.
I would love to see your finished job.
Cheers
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Times 03/Jan/2009 - High quality image? on: January 15, 2024, 07:04:48 PM
Wow that frame is very nice and gorgeous.
Using that image is very ok but I recommend you make sure that those images don't have a copyright on them so you don't get into trouble.
I'll probably update this post if I find an image with a better quality online.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 15, 2024, 06:26:28 PM
This question doesn't really have a universal answer. The first question is if the husband is a gambling hater. Often times when husbands find out their wives are gamblers they usually get very angry with them especially because they feel their wife may be an addict who had been hiding it from them for a very long time.

A wife should understand if the husband is a gambling hater or he actually tolerates the act  before beaking the news to him. This will prevent an unnecessary argument or misunderstanding between the couples.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 15, 2024, 06:14:53 PM
Of course it is usually common to come across people who dislike crypto. overtime, I have come to notice that most people who dislike crypto are as a result of scam or hack related issues.
This is because many of these people may have tried making investments in the past and got either hacked or scammed especially because of their low understanding of the cryptocurrency concept at that time.
Many persons dive into making crypto investments without sitting back to take their time to understand the risks and concept.

Alot of crypto haters have their hate coming as a result of their losses from especially altcoins. Which possibly dipped after they tried to invest.

And finally op, sending a Bitcoin hater BTC doesn't change anything.from the image you provided, you sent the person USDT which is an altcoin. So you actually didn't promote Bitcoin here but rather altcoin.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 15, 2024, 05:56:49 PM
It’s good to separate your profit in gambling and also your capital before you proceed in your next activity, we should always have this kind of plan because this is our guide in knowing when to stop. You can’t always have profit in gambling so better when you have the chance save some of it where you can use later on.
Not everyone employs this method in making their casino bets , stakes and other gambling activities. Sometimes when  people place bets they make really  huge wins of which some would stop betting at that point and proceed to spending the money without trying to draft out Thier spendings including tax.
Most countries are very strict when it comes to economics and tax so making those payments as quick as possible would be a very good idea to avoid getting into trouble with the authorities.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 01:51:10 PM
Well, I don't agree totally with this. For long I always bought on the idea that placing bets on bigger Odds may increase chances of winning more often. This way, you will be able to stake same amount and have a greater chance on your odds winning.
Of course making lots of picks on chances during gambling reduces chances on winning. However the more chances you make the higher your odds which makes the potential win for your stakes higher.
Some people may decide to stake on smaller odds to increase their winning chances while others  are willing to stake on higher odds even if the winning chances are thinner. The most important thing is that you stake and gamble responsibly.

571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 13, 2024, 09:27:21 PM
The most obvious, important and common advice to newbies in gambling activities is to gamble responsibly. Gambling is supposed to be an act of fun done at healthy intervals. However it becomes an unhealthy practice when people begin to take it personally by betting extravagantly and even more than they afford to lose.
Newbie in gambling activities should also beware to make gambling a leisure act and not a job per say where they depend on for their source of income. Avoiding this would prevent the greed of wanting to stake more to be able to spend more which may cause the gamler to possibly go bankrupt or worse end up with an Addiction.
Gambling responsibly is a personal choice and it also is the best choice a person can take during his gambling activities.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 13, 2024, 09:16:43 PM
Look, dollars are used for drug trafficking, right? Are US dollars to be blamed for whoever decides to use drugs? Same with paedophiles or weapons dealers, they use dollars, but that does not make the dollar a bad thing, it is the use that people make of it what is not right. Gambling is not wrong in itself, it is a pastime and some addictive personalities may just fall into it like they could in other stuff.
Exactly gambling cannot be blamed in this scenario. The guy I question was a drug addict of which most are also gambling addicts.
You don't expect someone who can not help but take hard drugs often just to satisfy their nasty addiction to not do same with gambling. just as he is to blame for his actions and not the drugs, he is also to blame for his wrong way of practicing gambling. Gambling is a neutral act and when most haters classify it as an evil act , they do so from their view about addicts.
573  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 13, 2024, 06:58:08 PM
Definitely gambling addiction is an unhealthy practice and should be avoided at all cost by gambling responsibly. When it comes to the negative effects of gambling addiction on  someone, the family of the person is also affected. But in my opinion the person in question (the addict) is the one who suffers the effects the most. They can go bankrupt, lose properties and most importantly lose the love and trust of family members especially immediate ones like spouse, kids and even parents.
The effects of addiction on family members is usually the loss of love and trust and also a break in relationship bonds with the addict. This could make family members go through a lot of trauma. Sometimes times family members are able to get over the trauma and some other times they literally can't.

Gambling responsibly doesn't one save one self but also protects ones family from going through such trauma which could even break them.
So let's endeavor to always gamble responsibly
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin as P2P currency vs Bitcoin as an asset on: January 13, 2024, 08:55:01 AM

Overtime multiple debates have been raised concerning Bitcoin losing its adoption as a P2P currency. A lot users who transact with little amounts of Bitcoins during intervals seem to be in support of loss in Bitcoin P2P adoption. However some other users especially business men who transact non stop with Bitcoin on a larger scale, seem to have the opinion that the adoption rate is quite ok. Of course no one is happy when transacting with Bitcoin during periods of high conjestions as fees can be sometimes annoying.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin has maintained a nice reputation for so long it has now become a wise choice for investment, hence the term hodling. Hodling has also become a topic of interest for Bitcoiners due to its ease and nice returns as time goes on. Due to this Bitcoin now seems more like a nice investment than a P2P currency to a large variety of hodlers.

This is not to say that a lot of person do not  engage equally in both P2P transactions and Hodling. But to see what a majority of Bitcoiners view Bitcoin as. I added a poll to this post so I recommend you venture casting a vote on what aspect you use Bitcoin the most.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do gamblers always ague alot? on: January 12, 2024, 09:35:45 PM
Not only gamblers, humans generally argue naturally when your ideas is more like a total opposite of theirs. Just as people are different so are their ideas so arguing is a form of defense for their ideas.
When it comes to sports especially soccer argument is something that is so natural it's almost like a tradition in viewing centres. logically you cannot expect a team supporter to sit back and listen without say a word while you oppose his team. Like it's so normal for gamblers and sports lovers to argue in defense of their team that it's almost interesting to watch the scene of them arguing.
Most of my male friends during casual outing argue non stop especially about soccer. Arguments actually helps people understand different views on a particular topic and these could be possible hints in future bets.
576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 12, 2024, 09:23:55 PM
[....]I also tested registering from a banned country and even indicating it on the form, and it does not prevent you from making a deposit.
I was gonna say that a lot of crypto casinos do not have an upfront KYC but this part just made me think that platform is a mess. Their system isn't set up to check information quickly. How did you put the banned country by the way? I was assuming it's still on the list of options or did you just typed it manually?
Exactly an online casino requesting KYC registration when you want to make a withdrawal is a bad practice and such a casino could be a scam one. However Some of these casinos may have these added in their user agreement policy but too bad most persons don't take their time to go through them before hitting the agree button.

Still, it isn't right for a casino to request KYC especially an online one which deals with crypto bets. Imagine doing KYC in an online casino that uses crypto in a country which has a crypto ban .
577  Other / Meta / Did you notice something a little weird? on: January 12, 2024, 05:45:06 PM
Alright Bitcoin talkers I actually noticed something a little different on Bitcoin talk, though it isn't a big deal.
Of course I am aware the forum refreshes stuffs like profile details every couple of seconds or minutes. However I noticed that when I send someone some merit for example , it takes a little more time than it used to before it reflects in the users profile especially higher rank members. In my opinion, I noticed the timing is a little kind of larger.
I am not really sure if it's a network issue on my end though I have a nice network connection or it's something you guys might have also experienced.
Could it be as a result of more traffic on the forum or something else?

580  Other / Meta / Re: I wonder if the forum would be much better without signatue campaigns on: January 12, 2024, 10:10:24 AM
If you want a forum without the freedom to advertise in your signature, you can literally choose from thousands of other forums. Go there, and see if it's better than Bitcointalk. If it is, you've found your new place to discuss online. If it isn't, you'll be back.
Exactly where then is the internet freedom?
Funny how after op makes this post he would rush into applying for a signature campaign before or immediately he is able to hit the full member rank.
People here say a whole lot of things they don't really mean just to please others.
