561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep Bitcoin, buy more or but something else IOTA, XRP... on: December 10, 2017, 09:07:13 PM
Yeah but everybody have been saying that iota will be the next ethereum, the next bitcoin, but the most important thing is:

do you really believe that?

Everybody is hyping iota, but it doesnt mean that it is going to be the next big crypto, maybe a lot of companies are now supporting iota, and that is why the price is very expensive right now.

"Internet of Things" What a shitty name they created.

I bought some iota, then i sold them all, i dont want to get my portfolio stuck with a pure speculation coin
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When buying multiple altcoins, Do you have multiple exchanges. on: December 10, 2017, 08:52:02 PM
Exactly, it depends, there are some coins that are ERC20 tokens and you can store them all in your ethereum wallet, or just keep them on your hardware wallet.

I have never liked to have all my coins in an exchange, it is one of the most risky moves that you can make if you are just starting with cryptos.

And ten exchanges? where are you trading right now? There are only a few safe exchanges, binance, and a few others, if you are storing your coins in etherdelta or coinexchange, then you are going to get scammed for sure.

563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price going down in second week of december on: December 10, 2017, 08:26:48 PM
Dont worry, it is only going down because there is a lot of fud over bitcoin and over the futures too.

It is just matter of time until all the btc holders realize that the futures are not going to make bitcoin go down,
or just what everybody is thinking: shorting all the money that they have in order to make bitcoin go down.

Just be quiet, it will recover soon

No one can tell if the price of bitcoin will increase or decrease in the second week of December,

And you all know that everytime that there is a huge pump, there is a dip, and after that, the price resurges.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex, the market mover, HAS to be insolvent.... on: December 10, 2017, 07:56:25 PM
THIS is the only thing that is scarying me about Bitfinex.

And you should not forget that they are having more than 75% of the total Tethers that are on the Circulating supply, they super inflated bitcoin.

Once that this exchange gets closed or seized or however it ends, the price will drop a lot.

Imposing a withdrawal limit of $250 for cryptos. Those that have less than $250 in the account are just out of luck all of a sudden.

This would be the next Mt. Gox, i am sure about that Gox 2.0.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Internxt coin or Shift ? on: December 10, 2017, 07:44:18 PM
Wow mate but you have already made an incredible profit out there. $1,40 to six dollars! Wow, you really found a game changer in there.

I bought internxt at 1,40$  now it's  at  5$  and it  has  reached  the  6$  but I have not  sold it  beacuse:

Why dont you sell those coins? i know that you must probably want to hold those, but what if all this thing is just a pump & dump for a signals group?

It happened a lot of times, just take a look on Enjin Coin, MinexCoin, they all have been hard pumped, and in consequence, they were dumped before that pump.
Be careful, i would suggest you to dump them right now
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You all ready for Banks War on BTC? on: December 09, 2017, 10:46:49 PM
Wow, why there are so many newbie accounts creating fear over the price?

This is for the CME only,

Maybe this is a complot of Roger Ver and all the bcash lovers in order to bring down the price of bitcoin one more time.
It is very strange, on the main page of Bitcoin Discussion, ten of twenty threads are just talking about fear over the futures.
I really want it to be tomorrow, i will close the asses of all you who are talking about futures and that bitcoin will be killed.

There is never going to be a war against btc.
567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: newbie question about btc price on: December 09, 2017, 10:31:51 PM
First of all, you did a big mistake, buying directly from a broker is the worst thing that you can do.

You are not buying bitcoins by that way, you are just "purchasing bitcoin contracts" just like a version of what the Futures of the CME, but in an online version

And yes, you have just deposited money in the broker (i guess) and you are going to buy it at the moment that you execute your order, long or short.

I bought a small amount of bitcoin from a broker 2 hours ago when the price was $14.7k with a payment method that takes 1-5 days to process.

You will probably get scammed in there, if it has a lot of bad reviews, then it means that it is a big scam.

I am sorry.

I purchased from CoinJar.com.au.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC skyrocket -> futures trading, 7 upcomming forks, lightning network ALL-IN! on: December 09, 2017, 09:54:17 PM
You have not understood a single concept of HOW futures work, go to Google and make some research before saying that kind of bullshit in here

If futures then BTC will fall! Because futures provide the ability to earn with price dump

You should know that it is going to get released in a few weeks, or even months from now, so dont create false expectations because we all know that the lightning network has been under development for more than months.

Quote
Also very good news: Lightning Network for Bitcoin

You are right anyway, there are a lot of good news about bitcoin that are going to affect bitcoin in some days, but nobody is looking it at the right side.

Everybody is just panicking.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HUGE POTENTIAL**XRY was traded at 800 sats 15 days before now it is at 1 satoshi on: December 08, 2017, 11:26:19 PM
Lol probably pump and dump scheme. Shillboy

Yeah that user is a ghost, dont believe a single word from him because probably he is just one of those guys who are spreading "signals" about dump and pump scenarios.

I would never put a dollar in that coin, you said that it was 40000 satoshis before, so why is it worth only one satoshi right now?
it just doesnt make any sense at all.. nobody will invest in a coin that has been dumped by more than -40000%

And please, stop creating threads with pure crap inside
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: O.5 BTC... What do you think about this portfolio? on: December 08, 2017, 11:09:48 PM
Dont do what this guy is offering, i am sure that he is trying to run a ponzi scheme or something related to steal coins, and that project is crap, i would not even put a single dollar in there.

Veltor swap is live. Buy and Swap your Veltor (VLT) tokens for brand new Alvalor ERC20 tokens (legit, transparent and innovative project based in Luxemburg). Hurry, becuz supply at low price is limited!

Do not put more than 20% of your money in waves, it is a risky coin, it only deserves no more than 5 percent of your balance.

And elixir will be a big one, but it will take some months, or just weeks to earn the enough attention from all the community (i dont know why no one is talking about this coin in here)

Take a look over cardano, that is a good coin and i have some funds over it
571  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is wrong with Kraken? on: December 08, 2017, 10:49:55 PM
Just be patient, almost all the exchanges that are online at the moment are passing through the same issues.

It is impossible to withdraw money from bittrex, poloniex, cryptopia, gdax, almost from all the exchanges because the volume and traffic on the exchanges is exploding, and this have never been seen before.

Bitcointalk has been in the same situation a few hours ago, didn't you noticed that the website was very slow? That was the main reason, we are having a massive traffic on almost all the websites related to bitcoin.
I can not deposit money in localbitcoins to sell it because the network is collapsed, and the fees too.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One thousand people control 40% of Bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 10:32:50 PM
That is right, no one is able to know if they are still active or not, the only way that we can "guess" if a walletis active is just by seeing the last transaction on it, but maybe they are just holding those coins for years or decades, so it is impossible to know that.

And I should add the last one..
You can't really be sure the owner still has access to them Smiley

And this article was posted on bloomberg, everything that they have been saying about bitcoin lately is a lie, so dont believe in those guys, they are 100% against bitcoin, i know that.

Do you really think that bitcoin is controlled just by a few people? it is impossible
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: December 08, 2017, 09:56:16 PM
Probably, but in a long time from now, it has been very hyped, but it doesnt mean that it will be worth $100 in some months.

1.  Waves-  I think this coin could hit very high.

Not one hundred, but this coin has an incredible profile, i really like this one, and it has a lot of chances to become a big one. They didn't created a huge marketing campaign, and that is one of the reasons of why the price is so cheap, but they have a good product in there.

2.  Shift-  I don't know why but something about this coin tells me it might even hit $100.

If you still trust in it, then buy it, but honestly.. i would not invest in a coin that made more than x4 in a week.

3.  Iota-  I heard people talking a lot about this coin when it was under $1

574  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is what happened the last time a government banned Bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 09:39:19 PM
This

Don't be left behind. Every FUD dip is the government stealing your BTC from your hands in the market.

I still remember when there was a massive fud on this forum about China and their possible ban, everybody was crazy in here, i remember that a lot of people were saying "Bitcoin is over, time to get out of here"

and thousands of people sold their coins at less than $3000... that was a chaos, i remember that.

And that was the moment in when i bought 1.5 bitcoins, i took that opportunity, but i sold them at $6000, i made a x2, but i dont regret about that.
Dont be afraid of that people, bitcoin is unbeliable, you can still make a lot of money if you dont stop holding.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's safer than Telegram to discuss about Bitcoin/cryptos? on: December 08, 2017, 08:53:26 PM
You are wrong, Telegram is one of the most safest channels to discuss about cryptos because no one is tracing your messages.

They are 100% encrypted, a lot of goverments, specially the US tried to compromise Telegram in order to see people's messages, but telegram denied it.

And seriously, email? are you paying attention to what you are writing in there? The emails are the most compromised channel that we have right now.

That is why a lot of people are now using protonmail, because it is descentralized.

Telegram is not a safe channel to discuss Bitcoin and future projects. The safest way would be through email.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM ETHERSCAN PROBLEM on: December 07, 2017, 09:01:46 PM
Fuck cryptokitties, i dont know why they have created this project because it is shit, it has been killing the whole blockchain of ethereum for more than two days.

Hello. I dont think the cryptokitties hype will hold very long,

All those people, including me, are now starting to use ethereum to run out from the bitcoin killer fees, and now we have to pay $2,5 worth of fees in order to send an ethereum transaction? and it is not even getting confirmed.

This is pure garbage, bitcoin fees are over $15, and ethereum's are $2,5 for every TX

when is it going to stop? do we really need to switch again to another crypto in order to send payments faster and cheaper?
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: thoughts about ICO's using "Airdrops" on: December 07, 2017, 08:44:22 PM
Good evening, what is everyone's opinion on coin "airdrops"? Do you feel this is a cheap trick to create demand in their business model, or is there a better reason for doing so?

Yes, take a look over the Announcement board of this forum, and go to the Token's ANN. It is plenty of airdrops that are using ico's structures too.

But take a look over BtcRed, litecoinRed, they all are the same garbage that are trying to create demand only by using the real name of the coin followed by a prefix.

Bitcoin gold, bitcoin gold, super bitcoin, they all are airdrops.

But i haven't seen too many airdrops using ico's, and most of them are just giving out 1 or 2 free tokens and each one of them is worth 0.00000001 eth, just dust.
578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the bitcoin price before 2018 starts on: December 07, 2017, 08:09:39 PM
If it gets to $25,000 i will cashout all my bitcoin earnings and i will leave 0.35 bitcoins in my wallet forever.

if it decides to go over one million dollars, or one houndred thousand dollars, i will cashout them all, but if it drops, then i would hold them for a few years.

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, but it seems that now we are so close to reaching that price.

I still dont know what to do, i really want to sell out all my bitcoins but at one point i still want to hold a little bit more.

I am just afraid of seeing this bubble crashing again.

579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase not broadcasting transactions to the blockchain !! 12 Hours ?? on: December 07, 2017, 07:53:27 PM
Dont worry, it will get through soon, the whole blockchain is saturated right now. Just look at this: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

More than 2120 transactions without a first confirmation, the last time that we saw this kind of numbers on the unconfirmed transactions was on November 12nd (the day in when bitcoin was under attack of bch)

But this is preocupant for all the ecosystem, dont worry about it, coinbase is going to confirm it, or at least to send it to the network soon.

I havent been using coinbase for the same problem, i dont want to risk my funds because of that.
580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Confused with bittrex on: December 07, 2017, 07:33:03 PM
You can deposit funds with almost all the altcoins that exists (only those who bittrex have listed)
But no, you are not able to deposit funds via wire bank in there, only with altcoins.

1. To buy from bittrex do i have to start with bitcoin/eth before I can buy anything or can I buy straight away with real usd in my bank?

It depends on the altcoin that you are trading, NEO is only exchangeable for bitcoin - usdt- or ethereum.
There are other altcoins that are bigger that allow theirselves to be exchanged for xmr, litecoin, etc.

2. Once I buy say Neo, once it goes up can I trade it at bittrex for another coin besides eth or bitcoin down the line or do i have to trade it for bitcoin/eth?

If you are going to do daytrading, then dont move your funds everyday because you are going to be raped with the fees, if you are going to hold, then buy an offline wallet (A trezor - ledger)

5. Do you put your alt coins in a hiding place offline so a hacker cant steal it? If so whats it called
