The idea is very good, I am involved in the microfinance sector and have more than enough experience in remittance from Europe to SE Asia too. I can see possibility for your service.

I would have a few questions which I couldn't find on your site (I might skipped them)

Which country do you operate?

Where do you provide microfinance and remittance service (or planning in the near future)?

Do you already has an operational base in one of the developing countries and now you would like to raise capital for further expansion or you just have the model without any operational income?

If you already have filed operation, where can I check your company registration and financial audits?

On your site, there are only a few of your members actually seems to have connection to emerging markets. Most of them only have extensive experience in finance and software engineering. How do you acquired the necessary experience to operate?

Thank you for the time to read.

Hi PressTab,

I am happy to see that HyperStake is actively developed now, I am happy for your involvement.
Are you a developer of the Neutron (NTRN) as well? Are you actively participating in that project too?

The invitation for the Slack channel doesn't work on your website. Could you post it here, please?

How many coin is needed for a masternode?
Do you have a CLI linux MasterNode setup guide?

Thanks.

Getting Started Guide - http://imgur.com/a/mjIlk

Still seems a bit technical for non computer literates. LoL

Yes I included many details that are more technical... Just wait until I make a few guides that are aimed at the technical features of HYP staking!!

I am hoping your getting started video will be an easy to understand non technical guide for users  Smiley

Update: It looks like the guy that was going to do the video tutorial isn't going to be able produce the video... so I'll have to try and find an alternate.

Is there a bounty for a getting started video?
I've asked a friend who is really familiar with the wallet and all 3 environments which also happens to be a video pro. If things falls through I'll put up a bounty.

Is there a document explaining how to compile the wallet for Linux? GUI and CLI.
Is there a document explaining the way to control a CLI wallet on a Linux server? Something with all the commands.

Hello,

I have checked out your website as well but can't see too much technical details about this coin. The concept is good, but more information is needed.
Is it a PoS or PoW coin, or something hybrid?
Is there a staking reward maybe a masternode concept?
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: June 07, 2017, 10:24:48 AM
Helium is active and developed by a team.

SpreadCoin is a good idea as well, but no regular communication from the developer (nothing for 3 weeks now), and the update on the website is 2 years old. So I am not sure what to think, if it is still active.

Hello, Looks very interesting. How do you secure the network? Is it s aPoW or PoS coin?

Hello.

Is this coin actively developed in the background or it is a dead coin?
What could we use it for after the snapshot date?
Is there any future for SPR?

Gab
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: June 04, 2017, 01:26:50 PM
We're aiming for a snapshot date of 1 August, with a block height that should fall on that date chosen as we get closer to that date.

People find it easier to think in dates than block height, so we've gone for date first.

There will be another Slack ama in about two weeks to give progress updates, explain the enterprise strategy, our new partnerships and introduce the lead developer for the Service Node work, along with new members of the development team that will be contributing to our future plans.

ok ...

again ...

what about those few that CANNOT work that shitty interface on their systems - called slack? ...

really mate! ...

#crysx

I would imagine you are in the minority on that one, but if you want I can move both AMAs to a basic text reader site.

we are in the minority ...

and yet - no catering for those that have these issues by the slack people ...

geez they are slack ... Tongue ...

AMA? ... so there will be no involvement - just a result about what HAPPENED at the slack meetings / chats? ...

ummm - that helps ...

#crysx

I'm sure if you requested some other way for the community to communicate with each other both coins and karma would be amenable to it with enough support.

it has been a long while since ive needed to rally ANYTHING like this to happen ...

i have way too much on my plate to worry about a crappy app / system that causes me issues mate - you know how i work dont you? ... if it works - great ... if not - roll with what does as long as it makes sense AND is available on ALL platforms ... slack doesnt and isnt - skype does and is ...

im interested in the team here - the people - the devs - and most of all the project ...

this is the reason we have been building the ecosystem we have ( and on of the strongest infrastructures in crypto ) within the cwi walls ... so we can support and maintain our OWN coins and projects - as well as others IF we all agree its a worthwhile project ... this is - as you know mate Smiley ...

i dont use windows - and WONT use windows ... full stop ... it seems the only os it works on efficiently IS windows ... and the least is fedora 25 ... so be it ...

#crysx

I don't have any kind of Windows for a few years now, but my Slack is working quiet alright on my Android phone, Ubuntu desktop (in Chrome) and Mint laptop (in Chrome). I might missing something, but as I have never used the Windows version, I don't know. So what is the option I am missing on Linux and Android?

Ayers, then you're not in the right thread Wink

He is. This is the point.. The coin is good, the theory behind it is good, but without practical application, without merchants who actually accepting it, it is only a nice and ambitious theory. I am not expecting webshops to accept it right now, but it would be nice to read about the practical application of this coin in the roadmap or in the white paper.

He is emotional but right. As it is a second coin to ETH to mine, the demand can not keep up with the supply we can see it in the price. Dual miners are just dumping it.
Decred should be mined by people who deliberately want to participate in PoW for profit, not just dump it as a byproduct of a primary coin.

I am not sure if it can be changed, but it would be advisable.

I don't really see the issue.  Those people mining are still spending their money for electricity and putting wear and tear on their hardware to mine DCR, it's not just falling from the sky into their laps for free.  Now they have worked to acquire DCR and from that point they can decide to keep it if they believe in it or sell it off like any other crypto.  The market decides what something is worth and apparently people don't care that much about DCR and are selling it.  It is what it is.

You are right if a person use electricity and invest in a mining rig to mine DCR, the person should be rewarded. The problem is with Claymore miner, people do get the DCR for free when dual mining with ETH. If most of the mined DCR come almost free as a byproduct of mining ETH, the coin worth almost zero. That's what might happening now, the lots of almost free DCRs pushing the price down to all time low.

GOING TO ZEROOOOOO

Your posts in this thread make you sound like an emotional bag holder that was looking for a quick few bucks.  Either sell your coins, take a loss, and move on or have some patience and play the long game like most investors are.  Either way quit whining.

This is sleeping monster, Decred is going in the very right direction, by differentiating itself from other coins with pump and dump scheme. It will rocket like a Monero in not long distance future. Dev team behind Decred proved themselves as trustworthy and honest people. And they always deliver.

The team behind the coin is important, being trustworthy and honest people who deliver is the must, nothing more. The plan is good, the theory is in place. But only a theory. What can you use the Decred for? Can you exchange it to FIAT without paying huge fees to DCR-BTC-USD/EUR or withdraw from CryptoATM? Is there any services or product you can pay for directly with DCR?

The fundamentals are good, it has potential, more than other coins, but the developers need to show some real life example why the Decred is better than any other altcoins for the wider audiences and not only technical stuff for the IT guys.
