Sadly, this is true about marketing for an ICO. The big problem with this truth is that there are now standards and minimum viable means of operating in place. This is a double-edged sword because I have seen good projects fly under the radar because they were underfunded or just tech guys with great ideas and or projects, they just weren't very good at marketing or talking to people. On the other end of the spectrum, you have these professional scammers that are better at holding ICOs than any legit business ever could. They have probably already pulled off one or two scam ICOs and walked away with millions. Well, what is to stop them from doing it again and again? Only every time they do it, they have even more money for marketing. hiring managers and the works? By now they could be holding multiple ICOs and we all would think that they were legitimate because of how much of "their own money" they have already invested into their marketing and their new project.
So before anyone judges too harshly based on the premise of how well a company is marketing their ICO.... Ask yourself, should a startup be able to afford 100,000 for marketing. Should they be posting to twitter and telegram all day or should they doing what they do best, developing the tech for our future?

I am a marketer among many other things. So I know the importance of product marketing. I just think that when you stumble on to a great project with a dedicated team, take them for what they are doing instead of what are not doing.

The SEC has up to this point has only issued opinions. No new laws. The SAFT was introduced by a few lawers and several ICOs have been claiming to have used it. I'm wondering at what level they used it. The SAFT itself is a security and is offered in place of the token that would normally be delivered to investors during or after an ICO. According to a publication from the chairman of the SEC, posted on the SECdotgov website on Dec.27th 2017, Not one ICO had registered with the SEC as a security. This got me wondering, are these ICOs that claim to have registered really registered securities or are they perhaps registering only at the state level.

All that is beside the purpose of this topic though. My main reason for posting this topic is that we are in the USA and are very close to being launch ready. We have taken all the legal measures in creating our company, obtaining our LLC from the state, crossing all our i's and dotting all our t's. Are the SAFT forms universal or do they have to be specifically written on a case by case basis?

I like the project. If I had to give any criticism, it would be the tokens for downloading the app part of the plan. It just makes a giant list of people that will not actually use the platform. I think it creates a messy start to a social media app. Look at alphabet social platform for example. It's a spam fest and I already have more followers there than I do on twitter. Without even trying because they offer tokens for every friend you confirm.

I think they said earlier that it doesn't matter if they hit the mark or not because they have private investors on standby that will make up the difference. Must be nice to have a line of people waiting to give you couple hundred million bucks.

A lot of talk about the devs releasing an explainer video. It is becoming pretty standard to do that. Being a company built around the movie industry though..... You really have to come out swinging with some blockbuster quality YouTubin'. I mean, I would like to Keanu Reeves at least make a Cameo appearance. Seriously though, you guys got this. I have high hopes for this project and you've got my support. Well thought out business plan. I would like to know more about the funding films with FLIX tokens and earning a return. That really caught my interest.

I'd like to invite the devs here to check out the project that we have planned for a mixed reality environment. It could very well line up with this one. I'm not going to blast it here but if the MarkSpace team is interested, let me know.

   I could fill up a book of nonsensical replies to topics I've participated in. One thread in particular started by my wife was meant as a lighthearted comical thread titled "You know you are a bitcoin gambler when......" and she continued with a few of examples of humorous characteristics about bitcoin gambling. 50% of the respondents understood and were hilarious, but the other half..... I'd go back and quote one but it's not necessary. The stupidity has been burned into my brain. here's a sample.

    I know that most of us will never rank up again here at the forum. I, for one, am glad I became a Senior Member long before the merit system. I've downloaded the app about two weeks ago and just created my account the other day. We'll see how it goes.

I hope that Repu had more success than public reputation network. Pru emails me every day and i never even our them. I find them annoying with a terrible UI.
