561  Other / Meta / Re: Any 50 BTC donor still active here? on: November 21, 2023, 04:08:30 PM
I would really like to know and even see how they are holding up knowing that they were very early adopters back then and how they are doing now. There could be something influential and interesting about how they have managed to become early adopters and donate that amount. It seems like a great conversation with them. Any list with that in mind?
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 21, 2023, 04:01:23 PM
That's not "in a fun way" if you have feelings for the following
  • Guilt
  • Regret
  • Hate

That's not "entertainment" or "fun" in any aspect. You are just tricking yourself into making yourself feel that it's okay. Since you know that you are somewhat attracted to it, I think that's the start of acceptance and you really need to push as much as possible that you can overcome that urge to gamble in the color game.
563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Enjoy low transaction fee by using ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 21, 2023, 03:45:06 PM
I remember the times when my transactions were stuck on the blockchain and I didn't know anything yet about the RBF or any type that would help you have a faster confirmation for your TX. I really had a hard time when thinking about it but after a couple of searches, I stumbled upon ViaBTC and it did help me with some of my TX's before and it's awesome.
564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: November 21, 2023, 08:24:25 AM
Where did you read that a lot of people pay for signals? I doubt that it is here in the forum. There are a lot of people who tried it but didn't stay active because they might have thought that it didn't work, which is most cases but there could be people who are successful in it but there are not so many that show though.

If you are even willing to try for it, I think there are free signals but I think that would be even more worse quality, but IDRK.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: this makes a huge impact on the economy. on: November 21, 2023, 07:43:20 AM
Now you have discovered how marketers target the market in terms of when they would get money or how they will afford something at the time. Check the local stores in your area and see "when" they put up the big red sign with the word "SALE". Usually, it's around the time when it's time for salary, like you have mentioned. Additionally, people tend to make use of this in online shops as well and consider the paydays as well.

It makes a huge impact in the economy because of the taxes that are produced during that season. The effect depends on the people who run the country.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 21, 2023, 06:07:51 AM
That has something to do with mentality and experience. I think they honestly believe that there is something that will happen to you if you do it hard enough. That's the trap I think set by real life and applied to the gambling state because it could make you more vulnerable to do more gambling because of the "possibility" that is just a "possibility" and no one can really claim it.

It's all games until you lack the responsibilities that you have. The person you are talking to probably is guilty with it
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 20, 2023, 04:21:40 PM
A very lucky man despite the troubles that he experienced. At least he managed to get what he deserved. It's best that you don't let tickets hang around or let anyone near it that could destroy it unless it's already invalid. Great win plus the benefits of the additional percentage. Woo.
568  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: November 20, 2023, 10:20:45 AM
It would vary either way. For the straight line, it's more of a "You won't care what happens, you would just continue to HODL"
The second one, it's how you feel when you are monitoring the market continuously and you want to take advantage of all the possibilities that you have towards your HODLings.

This is my view and it comes with maturity. It's best that you just continue to HODL and you can make it long-term.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best thing that have ever come to you thanks to BTC on: November 20, 2023, 08:34:43 AM
I agree that some connections and people wouldn't form if BTC wasn't invented. There would be a lot of opportunities missed if it wasn't for it and it definitely helped me with my wants because I got to have extra financial help that wouldn't be necessarily directly affecting my priorities which is definitely cool.
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senator introduce"keep your coin act" to protect right to use self-hosted wallet on: November 20, 2023, 06:59:25 AM
It's an interesting approach to how you can protect somebody from stealing your funds. Imagine people really understanding what to do with their coins and not relying too much on centralized exchanges for safekeeping. There are DEX to answer our needs, I think it just needs to be made easier so that the less savvy people would be able to utilize it as well.

For sure a lot of people were dismayed with what happened with FTX and it's just make sense that something like this would come up.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Javier Milei just won the presidentiial election in Argentina on: November 20, 2023, 05:58:59 AM
This could be treated as a different impact on how the new president will act according to the promises he made during the elections. Is there a summarized version of his promises during the campaigning period? Specifically towards the crypto adoption in the country?
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: November 20, 2023, 03:00:04 AM
Low cost would be not to spend anything on gambling and other unnecessary expenses that you may get when you are gambling. That's the part where it is important to know that you have to take care of yourself and know how to control it. It's hard but it would save you some money, not for your addictions, but for the priorities.

Find a pro-bono service that would help you with those needs. It's hard to get professional care because it's expensive. This could be a motivation to stop gambling because you may incur more expenses.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's Raking in This Fee on: November 19, 2023, 04:32:09 AM
Raking you mean benefiting from it? Is that what you mean?

With the transaction fees so high, the exchange has an advantage because they can raise those prices and then pool up transactions that are withdrawing it and then take advantage of the multiple transaction fees and then profit in someway with the extra that it has. I think they have an advantage in that case because a lot of volatility with the tx fee and with a lot of people withdrawing at the same time the fees are already big for the exchange.

So I think it's the exchanges that benefit or earn from it.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future on: November 18, 2023, 03:53:01 PM
I believe this depends on where you are in life because you can save as much as you want if you don't need that much money right now and then the money that you have saved could go to your "daily" or "present" life that you have. It's going to be a difficult life if you are not going to be able to know what you are going to do.

Since you asked, it's happened to me before when I didn't know what to do at the current moment and kept myself living in the "what if" moments and the "future" outlook that you want. It's like day dreaming and imagining like your subject title. It's best to be at the present moment.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sites with bonuses without deposit on: November 18, 2023, 03:27:07 PM
I'm quite confused about the minimal information. It seems you didn't highlight whether or not you're looking for one to invest and gamble your money on without and bonuses or have a site that has no deposit bonuses and make it to a scam gambling site or something? I think there would be a lot of reasons why you are looking for one. I just hope you are able to communicate what you want directly and complete information.
576  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallets on: November 17, 2023, 05:22:14 PM
It's really sad to see that there are people who are desperate to get their way and make it go scam and even make the part that heinous to kidnap the executives and force it. It's like the famous "wrench attack" that you just need to be physical with someone with a wrench and you could take the whole stash. Something like that.

At least, the majority of the coin is already a frozen, no one would get those bad coins.
577  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status on: November 17, 2023, 11:04:09 AM
It's good that somehow there's an update on what is happening. I hope you get the proper judgment and it would be fair or something. It's really a struggle to have to run a business. That would really be stressful and would make you lose a lot if you don't make the right decisions.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Alt-Coin, and why? on: November 16, 2023, 04:46:28 PM
For the lulz, Dogecoin. It's really a fun cryptocurrency because of the fact that it's made for the lulz and it has been trending because of the crypto boom during the pandemic. It's going to be the part where you need to really believe in the project to make sure that you are with the right coin.

That would depend on your why and mine, if it's an altcoin, it would be just the lulz
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 14, 2023, 03:04:38 PM
Maybe there is a lot of money that poured in from the selling of BTC. Maybe there are people who are hedging against BTC or something and want to have people follow their position and just make quick bucks. I believe that it is not always the case but there is always going to be risk in investing in alts.
580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $300k worth of bitcoin from FTX moved to this one address? on: November 14, 2023, 06:00:59 AM
No, I couldn't unfortunately since I needed an FTX account it was the first step. A gambling casino owner sent my money to an FTX wallet and the company who owned this wallet said they highly doubted they could retrieve my money back since it was after the ftx collapse so they didn't try. The company also told me they were waiting months to receive their money back as well.

This sounds concerning, op. Could you elaborate your situation? and perhaps name the parties involved?

So, they sent your money to a FTX account that is not yours, correct? what for? and how sure are you that they actually sent money there? In addition, if they did not submit their claims, I'm afraid they're waiting for nothing.

I've already made a thread about the topic here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5471380.0

I'm more concerned if I could get my money back from FTX. Especially now that I see my money has randomly been moved.
After reading the thread that you made and the discussion that went on there, it's really complicated. I think you should be monitoring the progress of FTX and how they are reimbursing everyone that has been affected by their downfall. It's about time that they do it. You should immediately be in contact on whoever to make sure that you can identify that the amount that you have there in the FTX wallet is yours with all the TXID etc.
