In Linux, case matters; make sure you don't capitalise stuff that shouldn't be.
Good catch...

do i have to install the cgminer, or just leave it in the folder? in the instructions there was something about a 'make' command.
i tried with the ./ in front and got the same error.
It should work from any directory. Since you were able to get it to say "1 device found", that sounds like it is already compiled and should be working. Were you in the directory that contained the cgminer binary when you issued that command? It would only work from within the folder. oh from any directory, thats awesome. i didn't.. compile anything, and i have 2 cards in the system which i thought it should be seeing. if i go 'sudo aticonfig --lsa' it shows both the cards and the temperatures on each. Sorry!! ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) What I meant was, you should be able to move the binary to somewhere else, no need to "install" it as such. I was mixing 2 trains of thought there.

PLEASE help, shed a little light, im moments away from success! i anxiously await reply.
Instead of cgminer -o http://us.eclipsemc.com:8337 -u username -p password use ./cgminer -o http://us.eclipsemc.com:8337 -u username -p password The ./ means look in the current folder (which it does not do by default, unlike Windows).

I feel like feeding the trolls tonight because I am bored, so I shall post some proactive communication from BF Labs for you guys. Hi rjk,
I'm writing with an update. The units tested out at a performance level of 832 mh/s and not 1.05 gh/s. This is largely due to their consuming more power than the simulation indicated and the on board power regulator had a hard time keeping up with the demand. To resolve this, we've upgraded the power regulation from one 50w route to two 60w route (one for each processor).
This has pushed our production back several weeks and the PCB's are only now finished. They're off to component assembly in Taiwan next week, then back to us here in Kansas City for firmware set and burn in testing prior to delivery across the 2nd half of this month. We can't guarantee more than 832 mh/s until we test, so you'll need to either cancel your order or accept the performance reduction.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Kind regards, Sonny K BF Labs Inc.
So I asked for some pics... why not ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Regarding the updated PCB, we'll have photos on arrival at the assembly facility. However, I'm not sure if we'll get around to posting photos of them until after assembly.
Nom nom nom. I can't wait. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Interested in just selling the 5bay hotswap?
Well, that's the second offer I have had for just parts. I guess I might not be able to sell it whole after all. I don't even remember how much that part cost me, make an offer for it?

TL;DR
I don't know what happened here, and frankly I don't care. That said, pools are the bane of Bitcoin and anyone mining in them can only blame themselves for misuse of their hashing power.
We have the technology to mine with the benefits of a pool without the drawbacks. Maybe it's time to put the decentralization back into Bitcoin mining?
Yes take it your talking about the p2pool? Have you tied it, what is the performance of it like? Recent updates have made it an excellent alternative to existing pools. For this reason it has gained some good hashrate, and that is making it so much the better ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Lots of people can play the market with millions for fun so I care very little about vague speculation.
Just getting tired of : "The" as if there was only one manipulator.
It's just that when the depth numbers show an increase of 100,000 all exactly at the same instant, it is obvious that a single entity is making that happen. Certainly it could be possible for multiple entities to work together and set up bids at exactly the same moment and price, but if that were the case it would still make sense to refer to them as a single entity. Now of course, when all those 100,000 coins sold to someone, I can assume the buyer was not the seller (unless someone likes to give fees to mtgox just to play around ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ), and that would mean a minimum of 2 large players. Having a single entity to blame for all our woes is convenient too ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Is there an SSH equivalent for windows? I found an actual openSSH port for windows, but its very old and doesnt seem to work on 64 bit W7. I just want a remote command line in windows.
Don't the newer Windows versions with PowerShell have some kind of remote access service that you can enable? PowerShell is awesome and win. If it could be used remotely, that would be so much the better.

Hope this helps someone. If you need the newer BIOS version for a card, just send me a PM.
What version do you have? I have 107 from techpowerup, but I have no way of knowing whether that is the latest or how their numbering system works. I sent a ticket to AMD, but have heard nothing back (as expected, sadly).

Ill repeat the question asked by the other member that was never answered; has anyone actually bought from this site before to confirm it is legit?
Secondly I'll ask another question as the only currency available is USD and i would like to buy a card for newegg.ca is the USD value actually Canadian? From the number of posts jjjrmy has and the low number of posts in this thread it would appear this project was abandoned. Its too bad because I really think this would have been more popular.
I would also try btcbuy.info but they do not offer newegg.ca giftcards.
He has a new site now, http://giftcoin.net. I haven't used it, but I believe others have had successful purchases.

I am probably being too optimistic in their intelligence.
This made me lol. I am certain that any collective intelligence that they may show occasionally is certainly nullified by all the spam/cp/gore/rape/beastiality that comprises the daily fodder for most of the /b/ section.

FWIW, the proxy functionality has been absolutely stable in my testing. Soaks up my paltry 2 Ghash/s without the slightest hiccup.

There must be some very basic stuff I don't understand because I can't see how I would make this work.
I can mine at gpumax:8332 but what's the point if nobody can purchase my shares ?

IF you get two Gold rated PSU it is unlikely you are saving that much. Two PSU is simply an extra component, more space, more potential failures.
Not saying it is impossible but to make your rig more complicated to save $40 and (as OP indicated) do so at reduced efficiency just doesn't make any sense to me.
Then again I got 5 rigs to manage so I like them .... simple.
Of course - but if you are aiming for 50% load, as well as running 6 5870's in a rig, you have to either get 2 PSUs or pay a stratospheric cost for a single 2000 watt PSU ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
