[...]

That was Green's heroic shot in just a dying seconds, it wasn't wasted because they won in the OT.

That was a clutch shot by Green. I thought it was a MAVS win already but the kick out from LeBron was perfect. Respect for Green, his performance this season is exceptional.

The MAVs still needs to improve protecting their lead and closing out their game. They had a 10 point lead early in the 4th, but they let the Lakers catch up to them. Maybe one of the disadvantages of a very young team.
I agree, they have the lead almost the entire game, did play good however, they have some loopholes on closing out the game. I thought that they are going to cruise and win the game. They have the lead in the third then Lakers come back, then they did the lead.

But in the last four minutes of the 4th, they simply melt down and then Green to tie and in the OT the Lakers took over.

It's because boxing fans are waiting for the Joshua vs Ruiz II.

Or the fans preferred to see Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury  Cheesy

Probably,  Grin

Good thing is that the heavyweight division is alive again, no more Klitschko brothers who have been dominating the division for so long. Of course, we wanted to see some upsets here, so really shake up the division and makes it more interesting.

Of course there could be boxing bettors here who always goes for the underdogs.  Smiley

5624  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4 Key Similarities to Previous Bull Market Corrections on: November 01, 2019, 02:26:39 PM
I still think BAKKT doesn't have that type of volume to affect bitcoin price, sure it is a bit of difference and sure there could be some small ones but we are talking about bitcoin falling from 10k to under 8k and then above 9k, bakkt doesn't have that kind of volume to affect the price that much.
Obviously, the Bakkt hype has died down already. Remember that we all have been waiting for this for a long time and people get tired.

Could it be psychological? Could it be because people thought Bakkt would be huge and it wasn't when it first started and then became bigger so all of these were reflected by not only Bakkt itself but also people who doesn't use Bakkt at all but just watch it from afar and react accordingly? Sure, it is a possibility but are we really going to attribute these movements to Bakkt all thanks to some possibility? Some whale buying a ton and selling a ton has the same possibility.
Exactly, it's more of a psychological aspect, specially when it go live and Bakkt's trading volume is kinda disappointed for many. But make no mistakes about it, people might joined the hype again when bitcoin price started to hit five digits again, remember when we have a jump of 20%-$30%? Bakkt volumes hits a all-time-high, so there might be correlation after all.

5625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin NEXT Price Skyrocket DATE EEExactly on: November 01, 2019, 02:01:05 PM
And it doesn't makes sense if your ask an offer and someone must pay you but your prediction will happen in the next few years. So, make your service real and don't act like most scammers.
Most likely he is acting like this.

You have already told us that there will be a chance that bitcoin will hit that price, so why would someone wants to pay you for that information if it will actually happen in the future? The question is when and that's going to be part on why you're asking for payment.

Actually, we don't have to pay for these kinds of information. We've got a bunch of predictions everywhere and they even publish it on different source of media.
Because the OP thinks that he can just post it here in this community and someone will fall for his trick. We have seen many so called experts here and each and everyone of them fails in predicting the correct price of bitcoin.
5626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 01, 2019, 10:58:08 AM
It's because boxing fans are waiting for the Joshua vs Ruiz II.

But I appreciate you reminding us with this rematch as well. The first match was very exciting, Ortiz when down twice but I think he came back in the 6th or 7th round and put Wilder almost to his knees. It was back and forth until Wilder came back round 9th and 10th and put Ortiz in the canvass for the fourth time and it was over.

I have not watched the first fight but honestly, I watched one of the press conferences and it's not really attractive like all the coming fight that is posted here, because obviously, this is going to be Deontay's another winning fight, but it's going to be interesting if there's an upset that's going to happen
I suggest you see the first fight because it was really exciting. As I have said, there's a lot of momentum shift and even though Ortiz was down early twice, he went back fought his heart's out, almost knock down Wilder. But in the next two rounds it was Wilder's turn and finished him up with an upper cut.

Now, fans are asking for more, they want the fight extend to another 12 rounds of exciting swings. And I think this is the first time that Deontay was really tested in a fight. Please note as well that Ortiz is a lefty and that's why it gives him problems early but Deontay adjusted very well. Will Ortiz derail the plans of Deontay here?
5627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 85% of All Bitcoin Have Now Been Mined!!! on: November 01, 2019, 10:37:46 AM
85% of All Bitcoin Have Now Been Mined!!!
What do you think? are your thoughts the same as mine?
Problem is, or maybe it isn't, that this 15% of bitcoins remaining are worth a lot more than whole 85% in past.
So in theory its 15% only, but in reality, its 100% looking by price.
All is relative here, many bitcoins are lost also.

I guess people really think that there are still lots of bitcoin to be mine or at least I see people that it will be more or less in 2140 that all bitcoin are going to mine.

But they don't understand that it we reach like 90%-95% of all bitcoins, it's like everything has been mined already, "Almost" is the keyword here, maybe by year 2032, almost all of them have been mine, that's why we should accumulate as many as we can as early as today.
5628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple backed Moneygram releases it earning report in Q3 on: November 01, 2019, 10:14:44 AM
If you guys remember, Ripple acquired a $30 million stakes in MoneyGram last July so it's interesting how everything turns out.

Moneygram was the first money transfer company to "utilize blockchain capabilities at scale through our Ripple strategic partnership."

Quote
Net loss was $7.7 million compared to $20.9 million for the third quarter of 2018.

http://ir.moneygram.com/node/20546/pdf

So it's interesting to note that there was a net loss of $7.7 million when they formed a joint venture with Ripple. But I think it's early to conclude, this is just quarter report and data is still fairly early to say that it has a negative effect on MoneyGram itself.

5630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: October 31, 2019, 02:23:23 PM
I guess everyone here did go to that growing pains early in their crypto journey.

I myself was very gullible way back, investing on a so called bitcoin doubler, but we all know what happens next. If I may add, crypto is not a get rich scheme, everyone who join this market because of that mindset will lose everything is just a matter of months.

And as much as we hated Ponzi, it will continue to grow, it's already 2019 and there are still individuals who fall for this kind of trick.
5631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looks likes ETH is breaking out of BTC pair on: October 31, 2019, 01:53:45 PM
It's a good news that altcoins are now starting to recover especially Ethereum. It's the best time for most investors to regain their trust for altcoins again. However, I don't see it as an indication that altcoins could take over Bitcoin because we all know how strong the foundation of Btc is. It will still remain on top and will surely gain a better price soon.
What do you mean that Ethereum has started to recover? The price is still way below, $160, and the lowest price it got is around $80 so I don't see any recovery with it.

The only good thing about Ethereum though is that they have a plan to release ETH 2.0 next year January. Just a couple of months from now. But since the market is still on the bearish trend, we don't know if this is a catalyst to at least see the price hovering $300-$500 and say that it is out of the woods already.
Perhaps the bear market will only benefit Ethereum, because in my opinion it will make it possible to get rid of all the junk coins that are on the cryptocurrency market and clog the Ethereum blockchain.  At least Ethereum already has a transaction speed much higher than Bitcoin and this already makes it a direct competitor and a contender for a leadership position.  For some reason, it seems to me that in the near future we will be able to see Ethereum as a means of payment much faster than this will happen with Bitcoin.  In addition, the erc20 platform is really a very good opportunity for new projects, but only in this case it would not hurt to carry out a certain control among all new projects in order to avoid fraud.
Probably, but that whole theory was tested already in the bullish cycle we have in 2017. So projects will continue to used their ERC-20 no matter if it will clogged their main net or not, as long as there are incentives and people are going to invest money on IEO/ICO it doesn't matter.

That's why we need to look at their ETH 2.0 first, but as @BitHodler have pointed out, maybe ETH will not leave POW entirely that could really affect the miners or those who have invested so much to min ETH as of today.
5632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BCH even be worth mining after the halving? on: October 31, 2019, 01:16:06 PM
As long as there are incentives to mine BCH I guess it doesn't matter if we are in a halving or not.

And don't forget that Bitmain still holds the majority of BCH as of today, so that alone means that they will continue to mine it and there could be mid-tier who are going to support BCH no matter what.
5633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 31, 2019, 12:23:04 PM
I watched the video of that devastating injury and it doesn't look good.  Angry

It's really a tough start for GSW here and since Curry will be out indefinitely, I would say that there chances this season to at least make it to the playoffs are very slim. Unless D’Angelo Russell step up, but I think he can't carry the team load.

5634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: October 31, 2019, 11:41:29 AM
But if Ruiz then definitely it will be an easy fight for either Fury and Wilder and I think both of them can defeat Ruiz easily.
I would agrees somehow. I mean Ruiz got a huge gap against Wilder or Fury. The height and reach advantage already tells a significant factor. However, I can't still get rid of my mind how Ruiz beat down a tall and masculine guy like Joshua. What I'm thinking is that if he able to do it on Joshua then it's not also impossible for him to do it on the other two. Once Ruiz break their guard and make a close contact, he might win of course. Let's see what would be the outcome Cheesy.
AJ was still underrated, he needs to prove again in the rematch against AJ that he can win, if he loss, his dream might be over to face the 2 top boxers in his division.  He won by a major upset, so people are not convince since they believe AJ would dominate Ruiz in the first fight, it takes two fight for people to finally change their view.
And that is why this could be a redemption fight for Joshua to be in the discussions again if he win and KO Ruiz. And then the whole Fury vs AJ could be in the horizon or Wilder vs AJ, which ever comes first.

But if Joshua wins by a close UD their could be a third fight here and end everything in a trilogy. We don't know if there is a clause on something for a 3rd fight but it will be interesting to see if there is.
5635  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's still going down (Oct 26, 2019) on: October 31, 2019, 10:42:23 AM
Come to think sensibly that moving as high of 40% on a matter of 2 days afaik isnt really a healthy one which we can really thought that this might be a manipulation.
It's extreme for sure, but it's Bitcoin at the end of the day. It surprises people when they don't expect it, and that's when they get rekkt hard. It was the third largest 24 hour move in Bitcoin's history, so it's not that it didn't happen before.
It did happen before, but if I remember it correctly, it occur when we are in a bull-run. But this current spike was total unexpected that's why we can spell manipulation from afar.

People continue to call manipulation, but what's actually happening is bots pulling back their sell orders where a short squeeze then does the rest of the work.... shorters have no choice but to pay any price for their coins in the order book.
It could be, as bots can lead to total out of control and because of that, chaos will happen which could explain the sudden spike as high as 30%.
5636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: October 31, 2019, 10:07:02 AM
Bitcoin will always be controversial no matter what, but the thing is, no country can stop or have control over it. Although some countries are putting a hammer ban, there are also nations on the opposite side of the spectrum who see benefits and welcome it with open arms, i.e. Japan or Australia or Germany.

at this time we know that the Blockchain is being discussed in large countries. and some time ago the Chinese president was welcome on Blockchain. But what about Bitcoin? there is still a lot of controversy going on. Even the US (SEC) is still rejecting the given bitcoin proposal. while we know. Bitcoin is the first carrier of Blockchain technology for general use. is it because of the basic bitcoin that has an anonymous background? so it is difficult to be accepted by the state. could bitcoin be separated someday? I mean Blockchain will be positively welcomed in the world. while Bitcoin will remain controversial.
share your opinions.
As for the technology, it has already taking the world by storm. They are even talking about blockchain 2.0 already, which means that it has already evolved and many industries have been implementing it.
5637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down...now at $7,654.85 on: October 30, 2019, 02:04:58 PM
Bitcoin going back to $10,000 soon, it hit over $10k today but dropped below but this pump is huge, this means there's a big whale accumulated a big number of BTC because they knew something we don't. I am not gonna bite this pump, I will just enjoy watching it because I am here to hold for long term and I am happy with bitcoin's performance today, we recovered easily, in less than 24 hours everything seem to be back to normal.
Some days ago I was predicting a recovery of bitcoin but this is too much, the price went up 3000 dollars in a matter of 24 hours, this is not being back to normal that is a move that is completely out of the ordinary, I only remember seeing movements that large when bitcoin was at the end of the 2017 bubble, and this worries me, is this a sign a bull run bigger than anything we have seen is coming or is this a sign we are at the end of the current recovery and we are about to face another difficult bear market?
We are still in the recovery, or at least in the accumulation phase before we can go on another bullish ride next year. At least after the massive increase last weekends, bitcoin has somewhat maintained the price around $9k, which is good at a trader stand point.

In view of this, I'm seeing another break out run before the end of the year and will finished 2019 with a bang, probably in the range of $10k-$11k, so there's nothing to worry about.
5638  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: October 30, 2019, 12:36:16 PM
Is there such a thing called "partial store of value", it's either bitcoin is being used as SoV or not, there's no middle grounds there.

The thing is that this kind of debates has been on-going for many years now and actually people are seeing bitcoin as good leverage, hence store of value. That's why the term HODL came up, because early bagholders chooses not to sell a single bit of their coins because they know that the price could shoot up in the future, and it did at the end of 2017.
5639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key players in the crypto industry on: October 30, 2019, 11:26:05 AM
Obviously, in the first ten years of crypto, it has moved so very fast specially in 2017 and it really took the lime light that's why government are taking a hard line stance for now. But can they stop it? I doubt because for one the market is free and open. What they can do is regulated, but it doesn't mean that crypto enthusiast won't find a way to go around those regulations, after all we wanted decentralisation and (pseudo) anonymity.

So it will still go on the next ten years and I'm seeing trillions of marketcap dominated by those coins mentioned above, specially bitcoin, who will continue to dominate and be the face of all crypto.
5640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the most influential single person in Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2019, 10:42:21 AM
I would tend to agree with Andreas Antonopoulos here. As he has been talking about bitcoin even prior to the huge pump we have seen in 2017. But this guy seems low key though, doesn't want to take attentions but he continue to move forward with his bitcoin lectures and been posting it in youtube. He even has a Q&A portion as far as I'm concern.

He's the only one of top of my head right now, there are others, but it's obvious that they have their own motive behind (like those Venture Capitalist individuals).
