5621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty is still potential on: November 01, 2019, 03:58:49 PM
Since there have been many things and issues that are not good about ico and others, according to many members, the potential has declined drastically, can we all choose which one is the potential or not?
Just think of all altcoin projects are potentially scam either for you or the investors. They have lost any reputation that Ethereum had given them and we are just having a circle of tokens being gone after one after the other. Bounty "hunters" should focus on more productive work like skill development and stop hunting this forum which is only leading to frustration among every young mind coming here.

This should not be the case. Take part in this forum and be an active member in different discussions. You may be able to join a signature campaign soon enough when you have earned enough merits. Wink
5622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's up Guys on: November 01, 2019, 03:56:13 PM
I just want to ask you, is bounty still good for now? are you still participate in bounty? or you have something new beside bounty or airdrop?
If you came to this forum because some friend/co-worker told you that bounties on this forum are very profitable then you are mistaken. Still you should know this that forum is the oldest forum about bitcoins and thus they get the maximum number of advertisement offers, freelancing offers and job positions for those who have skills for it.

I would recommend you to develop some skills or showcase any you already have. Web designing, avatar/signature designing are few of the top paying ones here. But only go for the bitcoin paying ones, altcoins are shit.

5623  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: October 31, 2019, 02:01:58 PM
Your workaround does not sound feasible for those who small-cap to mid-cap traders. Only whales would attempt to do so and by all means they have been doing it every once and while to launder their money which is also why they get target by income tax and exchanges force KYC on them.

It is likely that there are bitcoin based business operating from Argentina and they are fueling this economic conditions to set it. They may just move on to another country if they feel that the noose is tightening. This does end up being a choke for the smaller startups based on crypto and governments predatory policies to them.

5625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: October 31, 2019, 06:09:36 AM
All have their own seasons like ICO used to be very popular, but now it's not, now is IEO's season.
Season for scams. Roll Eyes IEOs is same as ICO in part of the scamming method but under a different name. They collect money, do nothing leave the projects to die out and essentially scam every investor before selling off their project to another shady group who now forces a KYC on the investors. Your money, their game.

Quote
We need to realize that cryptocurrency still has great opportunities to develop. The more people adopt it, the more ways there are to get it. Recently, quite popular is getting cryptocurrency just by playing games and watching videos, it's easy, right? Unfortunately, fraudsters also always follow this trend, they use various methods to fool ordinary people.
Altcoins have only brought some people to get rich, those are the developers and advisors of these scam, the so called "serial ICO entrepreneur"  blah blah, which literally means a failed enthusiast, now broke and trying to scam people. Grin

Adoption is another topic and fraudsters is another. But with increased number of projects there will be increases number of frauds. Better to focus your money on older and established projects.
5626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading bots/tools/platforms? on: October 30, 2019, 02:42:28 PM
Its good that you are trying to learn but you have stepped in the wrong and more risky way of trading.

1. A bot only automates the trade based on some pre-programmed algorithm. If that works for you then well and good. But note that using a bot does not necessarily mean that you are going to make a profit.

2. Many scammers are in this forum and other social media where they will try to scam you with a malware bot or nothing at all. Secondly getting a malware on your device would mean another hassle and loss of data, which you would definitely not want.
5627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some essential trading rules beginners! on: October 30, 2019, 08:37:46 AM
First we need to always knowledgable and have a continues learning to become motivated.
Being knowledgeable about bitcoin is easier and more simpler than going for altcoins which done reveal what they are doing and dont have enough of a marketplace to sell their service. In other terms those which do not have a sustainable market of their own are easy to detect and not invest in.

Quote
And last one is avoid too much greed because it will drives you going to loss.
I think greed has an importance but the more important thing is the FOMO. People need to stop getting FOMO over some coins. Do not buy at the all time high. If you feel a certain coin is worth putting money in watch it for when it does go down and not go up, because once its up it will be dumped hard.

Watch them like a hunter preys its food. Pounce on them when they are weak. Wink
5628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is FPGA mining still worth it these days? on: October 30, 2019, 08:31:59 AM
Where exactly did you see the FPGA sale? It could be some older miner using them and are not selling off the hardware to someone else at a price because its is comparatively useless now.

ASICs are the way to go with any type of mining. I still cant remember of any altcoin that would be profitably mined with FPGA let alone worth recovering the cost of acquiring them and setting up the place, electricity and maintenance.

But I agree with @badbart that future altcoins may have something good for FGPAs running their algo but then again there would be the problem with newer hardware coming up to compete compared to older one being sold.
5629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty hunters and Exchanges. on: October 30, 2019, 08:26:47 AM
It is not a wise decision to use all the exchanges because it is impossible to keep on registering all the exchanges.
They want your email so why not give them that? Cheesy besides who cares if these exchanges are harvesting databases to sell off in the future? Just join them and sell your bounty tokens.

Thats the attitude that makes bounty hunters look like idiots but sadly it is true. Stop giving away you KYC to shady people.

Quote
Always choose the right exchange for trading you're altcoins in the same way you need to focus on choosing the right coin for the developments. It is impossible for us to keep on submitting the documents to all the exchanges.
DEX vs CEX would be thought of here. But I would still prefer one CEX to do most of the exchanges. There needs to be a control over the number of exchanges being made and the projects being developed. Heck if they would actually develop something. Since 99% of these projects are a waste of money so are the exchanges listing them for money.
5630  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 40 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: October 30, 2019, 08:22:26 AM
There is always this one guy who does waaaaay more than the others,
Try wagering a small amount and you will see the number you will get in the race. By that you could get an idea of how many people are wagering above that small amount that you did.

Quote
I am suspecting it could be the same person, since their names are hidden we can't really know if it is the same person or not but I always see a person who is doing waaaaay more than the second guy. Like is he really trying to participate in the races or is this dude is just gambling this way no matter what and the race happens to hit him while he is playing?
It would be pretty delusional to say this without proof and just an assumption. False information is not difficult to come by and I am sure this idea has been going around as Chinese whisper games in the chat and  Telegram groups that players are participating in. Indeed the reason for people to put on privacy options is to prevent some beggars in chat from PMing them.

Quote
Still, shocking to see each time though.
Which is why it very less likely that it is the same person.
5631  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TRYING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT TRADING BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I PICKED INTEREST ON. on: October 30, 2019, 08:18:22 AM
will trading of top 10 coins be easy for a beginner and will there be profit?
Not necessarily. Huge losses are possible too. Trading is risky and its not a get-rich-quick method. But the top 10 are generally safer.

Quote
And will love to know if daily trading is better than long term trading?
Both that their own pros and cons. Neither one is better than the other. Daily trading needs you to keep tabs on the market all day and night long probably with the help of bots or with a unhealthy sleep pattern if you try to do it yourself, you would have to learn how to study indicators well. Long terms gains would be a bit easier to keep because you observe the market for a long period and buy sell at profit.

5632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TRYING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT TRADING BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I PICKED INTEREST ON. on: October 29, 2019, 09:20:34 AM
I will love to know the major risk involved in trading.
Several are there. The risk of crypto being banned and prohibited in your country is the first one. You wont be able to handle it anymore if it happens but it is rare and not scientific. Then you have market manipulation which you have become immune to and sometimes volatility. Be wise to trade with coins that have a proper userbase and steer clear of pump and dump shitcoins. A good measure is to focus on the top 10 coins of coinmarketcap except the Forked coins and XRP.

Quote
My emphasis are on trading simply because that is what I picked interest on in the crypto industry and I will like to know it to my satisfaction to be on a safer side.
I will break your rosy bubble right away. Trading is not an easy or safe task. It is full of risk.

Quote
I will appreciate it if you can add other qualities you think will be useful for me to be a good trader here in the crypto world.
If you dont have any background on trading prior to this, like stock market, commodities you would find it difficult to start. But being patient and not being easily manipulated by press news and so-called "expert advice" would keep you safe to some extent. Learn to study the charts and read indicators.
5633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to restrain yourself at a small loss and not spend money. on: October 29, 2019, 09:03:15 AM
That is, if you get them to even allow to gamble in the first place.
Why would you even allow a female member of the family to gamble? Women are a important section of the community and they need to take care of their homes and children before thinking about playing with their luck for money. It may sound orthodox compared to the feminazi's but it iswhat is better for their lives and families.

Back on topic, I think the best way to restrain from losses and more losses is to channel your hatred to make yourself stop gambling. It would work for a short period of time because soon the greed for making money will overcome the hatred and you will be playing again. But you would have saved some money in the process.
5634  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Art & Blockchain on: October 29, 2019, 08:57:34 AM
Well currently we have some art being auctioned off in the "Auctions" section of the forum, where some artists have done some works and are selling them. Some may be listed in the "Goods" section as well.

How exactly is blockchain going to be in your project? Are you going to sell artwork for bitcoin/altcoins or using blockchain as your source material for ideas to be put on the canvas?

I mean this is a pretty intriguing niche. You are talking about fantasy art, dating - these things dont come together and at the current scenario the Collectibles like Kialara, Satori Rolls, Minted coins are having the highest demand in this forum.
5635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period? on: October 29, 2019, 08:51:39 AM
Indeed, as well as checking the analysis of experts so you can take advantage on it, take note that it still risky but if you want to take risk then better if you really want to earn, because if you don't want to take the risk, then you will just watch the price going up, while others are enjoying the profit from it.
You would be better off keeping those "experts" out of the equation. They are self-entitled experts with no knowledgeable background who promote some shitcoin because they are paid to and keep up a propaganda by some bigger whale who is currently dumping that shitcoin for their own gains. Take their words with a bit of salt and never trust them and their words.

You can do technical analysis yourself and by all means everyone should learn how to observe indicators and watch how things unfold in the light of probability and market psychology.
5636  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it WORTH investing ALTS RIGHT NOW? on: October 28, 2019, 07:00:45 PM
Considering events from last week and bullish BTC movement.
Thats the main thing. With bitcoin being bullish alts are also being bullish. But here comes the concept of reading older charts. If you see the bearish time of bitcoin then the alts were also being very poor. Nobody would even thing of buying them at that time, but now every other social media is asking for tips on which altcoin to buy.

My point is that, dont go FOMO on altcoins. If you are bullish about a specific one then buy it, but at the proper price, not at the all time high price under impulse.

Quote
Is it smarter to just buy BTC and wait or explore some alts and try to profit now (keep in mind i'm not an experienced trader <6 months)
It is always smarter to buy BTC over alts. But this is not the correct price to buy that is ~9k USD. Buying point would have been ~7k USD, unless you have any bullish indicator showing above 9k, I would expect a crash coming soon in bitcoin price. Overall buy bitcoin at its support levels where falling down is less likely. Wink
5637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling risk is higher when we are on Bear Market? on: October 28, 2019, 05:53:04 AM
People become more protective of their money in the bear market knowing how small in value it is becoming. Again another group of people actually buy a bigger stash of coins and send it to their favorite casinos to play with when the market goes down because they get a cheap price for that lot. The first group is mainly the hodlers who gamble at their leisure and the second group is those who are addicted gamblers who had no bitcoins at hand but had cash in hand to buy bitcoins.

After all every gambler will be spending money in casinos no matter the market.
5638  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: “trade satoshi is a trading platform for debutans like professionals on: October 28, 2019, 05:49:27 AM
The post made by the OP seems like gibberish that even a 3year old writes better. No wonder TS is one of the shady exchanges out there similar to what yoshit is. Their brand of professional shills are everywhere starting from social media to Telegram DMs spam. Now they have this zero exchange fee thing and they are promoting it like crazy with shill accounts on this forum.

Anybody reading this should do their own research before bringing in the idea of depositing money there.
5639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: October 28, 2019, 05:44:21 AM
I really don’t consider gambling or betting of any form to be a source of money.
It is not. But since there is the possibility of the gambler making money, hence the idea that people can make money from it. It is possible under certain circumstance like you know the bookmaker closely, they may be able to give you some tips.

Of the 5, it's parlay that betting type that makes me earn the most. It makes me have better control of my wins and losses because multiple bets on multiple matches are covered.
Parlay should not be in this list. When you make a list you are essentially comparing things that have a similarity Casinos allow parlay because it increases the risk of the loss and the reward for winning. Statistically speaking the casinos make money from the increased frequency of parlay so they allow it, otherwise they would not have offered it.
5640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No other currency on: October 28, 2019, 05:39:34 AM
Let's admit it, altcoins did have an impact to Bitcoin.
The only thing to admit is that altcoins are copycats from forks of bitcoin or tokens made on ethereum blockchain or another new mining algorithm.

Quote
With the rise of altcoins, the existence of Bitcoin become more and more popularize because of how altcoins were advertised.
No. They were all in promoting their own altcoin, not bitcoin. You just thought of it in the wring manner. But dont worry, many others also did. Their point was to use bitcoin as a source of interest to gain interest in altcoin.

Quote
Let's just take bounty campaigns as an example. With the rise of altcoins and a bunch of projects, people are incentivize to promote their project, which in turn make people aware of cryptocurrency and what is the first thing that people need to learn in cryptocurrency? That's right, Bitcoin.
No. Majority of bounty spammers are bottomfeeding 3rd world country people who are desperate to get some money earned to feed themselves. They rarely care about the project its legitimacy. The proof of this is the number of scam projects we see and the promo squad behind them, who they cry why they didnt get paid.

Quote
Remember, people need to buy Bitcoin first before they could invest into altcoins.
By saying this you debunk your entire argument. Bitcoin is the first. All others a waste of time and money. Cheesy
