5641  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alt] Ban evasion & breaking in campaign. on: September 11, 2020, 08:34:22 PM
OP, I get that you found linked ETH addresses by separate accounts in a single campaign, but what if they come here and complain that they're different people pooling their funds into one wallet?  If I recall correctly I've seen legitimate instances of that (though don't ask me to provide links, because I wouldn't know where to start).

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are group of bounty hunters that are doing exactly that, sharing the same address and selling tokens all together to save few bucks (especially now when sending tokens on eth network ain't cheap) but this excuse has been so overused by real bounty abusers that no one buys that story anymore. Some people probably even lost the account over that, but well, they are collateral damage and should blame those that abuse the campaigns.

Same address=same account. Except in those rare cases when someone applies to bounty campaign using address of a well known user, trying to frame him, but no one will buy that anyway.
5642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥[ANN][EFI] Evergy Finance|(AI)Stock forecasting with 92% average accuracy on: September 11, 2020, 03:50:46 PM
take that in mind that the whitepaper foot references will be updated every now and then as per the used technologies(AI, Deep learning, Machine learning) are a never ending research to begin with.
From what i could see, your whole whitepaper was basically copied from other sources. No original work, studies, tests, nothing. You just copied bunch of charts, made website and announced token sale. And in order to attract people, you are using names of well known exchanges and promising listing there. No serious project would do that and what;s even more important, top exchanges usually ask for NDA.

Beside copied content, big red flag for me is the fact that team is anonymous. Sure, that is your right, but here you are asking from people to invest in your project their hard earned money, and promising some stuff that are not easy to deliver. It would be fair to reveal the identity so we can check actual competence of that team.
5643  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Theymos we need moderator again in Croatian local board on: September 11, 2020, 03:10:27 PM
I hope our stats are good enough that admins consider our request for local moderator.
When compared with others, Croatian local board was in the one of the most active ones last month (August). These numbers are pretty much standard for us in 2020 so this activity is not just some coincidence, we are consistently there in the upper half of the chart. I just hope that this good activity counts for something and that only criteria isn't number of reported posts.

5644  Other / Meta / Re: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! on: September 10, 2020, 03:13:56 PM
Another fake announcement thread infected with malware is out. As always, scammer is user previously dormant account, thread is self-moderated and content used belongs to another recently launched project. Only thing that is changed is github account, that was made half an hour ago and has malware.

If he is just here to get money for a scammy project rather than keeping his reputation clean. Even if he begs multiple times without me getting convinced of the answers I'm looking for, I won't remove it.
He obviously decided to sell and ruin his reputation for a few hundred dollars or whatever they at paying him to keep bounty campaign going on. Stupid decision, but it's his call.

If these bounty participants were indeed paid, then good for them but promoting a scam would hurt their reputation
Those that joined bounty campaign and made the videos for Bfinance are part of the problem to a they are actively and willingly promoting scam project. What's even worse they are doing that for a few dozens of dollars. They should be contacted to remove YouTube video from their channels. Based on the spreadsheet, 11 of them made video up until now.
5646  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Wolfage.finance DEFI SCAM!! on: September 10, 2020, 01:05:57 PM
^ Heres the presale link if you want to see the progress (https://bounce.finance/join/swap/2253) currently they collected 1339.31602954 ETH the timer also says remaining 2 hours lefts so we will know if this team will really delivered what is planned and the liquidity offering in uniswap if they do this then this is legit if they rug then sorry for the investors Im a longtime subscriber of Pro-analysis channel and its my first time too see they introduced new project like this one.
Damn, 1339 ETH collected for such an obvious scam. One would think that people will learn something from 2017 ICO bubble, but here we have even worse projects raising decent money from an ignorant and greedy people.

If some "Pro analysis channel" recommended you investing in something like this, I would leave immediately as they obviously don't know what they are talking about.
5647  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: 🍀🍀 Bounty kampanje Altcoin – Signature, Telegram 🍀🍀 on: September 10, 2020, 07:51:35 AM

5650  Economy / Reputation / Re: Plagiarism from Medium article on: September 09, 2020, 02:05:25 PM
it is now an eight page discussion that is started with completely plagiarized article from medium network
It's an instant red flag when you see such a long post coming from a brand new account.

If you check that account post history you will see that prior to that plagiarised post he made one post in Pzm cash, well known ponzi scheme that is shilling their own announcement thread.
One of the reasons why that topic that started with plagiarism grew 8 pages is the fact that a lot of other sock puppet newbie accounts that are posting there are also part of the bumping service, working on several other threads like DSF and Fetch.ai.
Tbh, it doesn't make much sense to bump topic like that, but who knows why are they doing that. Maybe they are just "building up" accounts  activity.
5651  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Has anyone ever heard of CP+ (CP Plus)? Is it a scam? on: September 09, 2020, 10:33:19 AM
I met a girl on Badoo. She told me about the huge profits she made on this platform called CP+. She sent me screenshots showing profits of several thousands USD per day (unfortunately i'm not allowed to insert images as a newbie).
Stop right there. Rule of thumb: if anyone contacts you offering you big profit either though some website or through an app,  it is  100% scam attempt and you should just ignore it. No matter the "evidence" via screenshots, websites, videos, certificates etc as everything can be easily faked, and it will be fake. They tend to approach you pretending to just wanting to be "friends" but very soon they will steer the conversation towards investment opportunities. Sometimes they play the long game, and work the victim for days or even weeks.

Crypto doesn't have some magical properties that will make you rich fast just by investing and staking, and everyone that offers you high return is scammer, whether he offers you 1% daily or 100% daily profit.

Regarding that app, it is most likely malware affected so you shouldn't install it. It is a good thing that you came here and asked for an advice before proceeding. Many newbies
come only after they have been scammed, and nothing can be done by then.
5652  Economy / Reputation / Re: Experiment, the last 10 ETH address found in Patrol. 50% Genuine users* on: September 09, 2020, 08:09:28 AM
...Now that bitcoin is starting to take off again, the forum is probably looking to be more profitable to the same pool of people, and they're doing what they've always done, i.e., using alt accounts to participate in as many bounties as they can...
If this true then we are very lucky that all these spammers and bounty abusers are literally dumb.
It is true though. Just remember how many times those bounty abusers and ban evaders came complaining that "their friend account" has been banned for no reason, and then after most basic search you find that OP is actually ban evading and has farm of 5-6 accounts. Almost every time bounty hunters comes to meta to complain, they dig thier hole just a bit deeper. That tells you all you have to know about an average bounty hunter and his mindset.

I guess if a lot of members trying to do background checks for any bounty cheaters in the patrol section in this way they can eliminate most of the members trying to cheat the forum.
We should definitely strive for that and remove bounty abusers and spammers, but this situation is not easily solvable, as majority of them are using easily disposable newbie accounts, and every time they get banned, they simply make new one. Smarter ones change social media accounts so they can't be traced that way and that's about it. This  often might seem like a Whack-A-Mole, but it's worth it nevertheless.

By the way, an interesting experiment.  I am not surprised with the results and real situation is probably much worse in that regard but it is a good starting point to see where we stand at the moment.
5653  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: September 09, 2020, 07:12:43 AM
EDIT: I guess Full Members can no longer join? May want to update the thread! I read through OP but looking at previous posts FULL MEMBERS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM CAMPAIGN? I usually read up on it pretty well but I wasnt going to go through 60 pages of applications to find that lol! Thanks anyways I will remove my Signature tomorrow it's getting late here!
If you check this topic title you will see "Sr Member+" part, meaning that only members of that rank and above will be considered.

As far as I can recall, BestChange stopped accepting new Full Member rank somewhere around mid May. There are obviously an exceptions to that, but higher ranked members often mean better quality therefore more visibility. After all, that's the point of signature campaign, to bring exposure. These new changes and reductions are not a surprise as quality of BestChange members have been increasing constantly with each new participant and this is just another step in the right direction that will ensure longevity (and success) of the campaign.
5654  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: September 09, 2020, 06:30:48 AM
August is behind us, time for regular monthly overview of the local boards activity.

As in all previous monthly overviews , data used was taken from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard. Those that want  more in depth analysis of each local boards, I suggest that you check that tool.

Number of posts in the period between August 1st  and August 31st

As in all previous overviews, top 3 local boards are always the same: Russian board far ahead, and followed by Turkish and German local boards. Majority of other boards didn't experience huge changes in activity so no big surprises there. As always, some boards are not on the list due negative post difference like Chinese, that had more than 3,000 posts deleted/moved in the last month period.

Number of merit in the period between August 1st  and August 31st

No surprise that Russian is at the top of this chart as well, considering the fact that they are by far most active local board, but others like German, Italian and Arabic also stand well, especially if you take in account their board size. This time we miss some smaller boards like Greek that didn't have merit activity whatsoever.

Merit senders and receivers per local board in the period between August 1st and August 31st

This chart pretty much follows the previous one, as it makes sense to have more members involved in merit system if you share more merit. Some boards stick out like Pilipinas and Turkish that have higher amount of merit senders/receiver compared to their merit activity. That could imply that maybe they could use more merit sources but only members on those boards can tell that for sure.

Merit/Post ratio in the period between August 1st and August 31st

Once again we have Arabic board at the top, so no big surprises there, followed by Italian board that is also regularly high on the chart. I'm glad to see my local board (Croatian) finally moving from the bottom. Some boards that are usually higher are low this month (Pilipinas and Indonesian). Same goes for Turkish board that still didn't recover from that merit source loss  few months ago, so they ended up at the bottom of the chart.

As I said in previous overviews, most local boards vary a lot on this chart each month so it shouldn't be taken too seriously.

5655  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: September 08, 2020, 05:24:14 PM
One more project that is using bumping service in order to promote thier announcement thread has been added to the list!

Fetch.ai and Bitfinex announce trading competition and catalyst sale
Fetch.ai has been going on for quite some time, since 2018, so it is not a new and inexperienced project, and they are even listed on some known reputable exchanges like Binance and Bitfinex. With that being said, I must say that i was surprised to see them opting for this kind of dodgy prmotion, where they hired one of those "marketing agencies" as they like to call themselves in order to promote their trading competition and another sale, instead going for some bounty or signature campaign as most of other legit projects do.

Accounts that have been used for bumping Fetch.ai are working on several others threads that are already on the list, like DSF and PayAccept. What people from Fetch.ai (and quite a lot of others from the list) probably don't understand  is that such services don't really care what they promote as long as they get paid, so they will gladly promote scam projecs too, and that can indirectly affect Fetch.ai.
5656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone in the Bitcoin ATM business? on: September 08, 2020, 03:14:37 PM
I have seen a lot of BTC atms at my local king soopers. Surprising that it is gaining traction. I do not see a lot of people using them though.
I think it's pretty much similar for all BTC atms, the ones in your area are not an exception and it is similar situation in my town as BTC atm is my preferred way to buy and sell bitcoin.

All this will most likely change once we go into real bull market and we come close to old ATH, as that's what happened last time. I remember waiting in a que infront of ATM for an hour or two during fomo, people were massively buying and selling BTC that way.

It is also worth mentioning that nowadays we have more options to cash out than we  had before l, so maybe that's another thing that makes BTC less popular.
5657  Other / Meta / Re: Allow newbies with merit to post images on: September 08, 2020, 02:54:23 PM
The restriction on posting images creates a lot of inconvenience not just for newbies who posting quality content, but also for other Bitcointalk members who cannot immediately see pictures from newbies on the forum
Question is, how often newbies create such a quality content that them posting images cause huge inconvenience on mass scale?  From what I could see in my time here on the bitcointalku forum, situations like that doesn't happen often.

Regarding your examples from that anniversary contest, that was heavily abused and there were
many alt accounts made just for that purpose, trying to get either money or easy merit.

I was newbie user not so long time ago, and I don't remember being annoyed by inability to post images. On the contrary, I've even saw it as some kind of reward for reaching Jr Member rank, and I wouldn't be surprised if other once newbie members felt the same.
5658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does the Lightning Network need to become mainstream? on: September 08, 2020, 02:03:57 PM
I honestly haven't tried the LN yet, but i know some people that did, and from what I heard from them, it is quite complicated to get this thing going. At least it was approximately six months ago when we talked about it. I was  thinking about trying it, (I read some guides here on bitcointalk) but their comments kinda cooled me off as they are more tech savvy than I am (which it shouldn't really matter and is wrong approach but well)..

I don't know is it really that complicated or there are some improvements in that regard, but ease of use will always be a key thing for adoption. Same thing goes to crypto in general, once it gets very simple to use it, it will spread among the mainstream. I guess it goes the same for LN as well.

5660  Economy / Reputation / Re: Thread starter deleted my post because project can't prove their legitimacy? on: September 08, 2020, 08:54:25 AM
This is their ANN thread, and someone alre already pointed out that their WP is filled with plagiarism.

Rikafip, I see that the thread starter of this ann thread was someone you marked as ponzi schemer back in June. Given that not only same user moderating both ANN thread amd that they're promising similar rewards on both Tcapital and this project, I would strongly think both project was directed by one same person
Yep, that could be the case, but honestly it doesn't make much sense to use @Cryptobull-in account for ANN as it has been both tagged and flagged, so that account is even more compromised than @coinism, that could save his account reputation if he removed that bounty thread. But then again, as you said both Tcapital and Bdefi are using  "marketing strategy", offering cars and other unrealistic rewards so I really doubt that's just a coincidence. Probably same people are behind those two projects, as scammers don't give up easily and usually come back with another attempt.

@Rikafip, The link you used to leave negative feedback and create the flag against  another profile that made an Announcement of BFine project is wrong. Please check it out and correct it if possible; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2815749
Thanks for letting me know. Link for flag is fine from what I can see, but reference link for trust feedback has been updated with the correct one.

Coinism has been pestering me to remove the feedback i left him, but he hasn't done what was requested of him, so feedback stays.
So he wants to have it all. Get the money and promote dodgy project while keeping his reputation clean. Well, it doesn't really work that way.
