5641  Economy / Securities / Re: Where should I keep my btc $? on: February 11, 2017, 08:15:35 AM
I currently have around $350 btc, I'm pretty sure btc is gonna drop in the next days, and I'm gonna lose a lot of money if I don't invest it somewhere else. I tried to invest it on OG usernames, but that's still a risk, cause I'm not sure I will ever sell them back, so I only spent $40; I tried to exchange it for Paypal, and still, I'm not sure at all, because Paypal is a pain in the ass, my account is semi verified (only have linked a credit card), my previous accounts have been always limited with large amounts of $, I lost a lot, that's why I'm not willing to lost it again.
Then, how should I keep this money? I was thinking about buying Amazon giftcards, not for personal use ( I don't use Amazon at all), but just as a static "wallet", which I could use to buy other giftcards and sell them again for btc when the price is kind of stable. Would that be possible? Is it possible to buy Amazon Giftcards using my Amazon balance?

If you want to buy amazon gift card with bitcoins, than you need to be in US because outside US it's not possible. Also if paypal is so painful, than why are you using it? Try skrill and etc. I suggest you to use poloniex, signup here, load your bitcoins and than exchange them and hold that btc on poloniex wallet, to my mind they are safe and also US based.
5642  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Tools for creating and verifying provably fair games on: February 11, 2017, 07:40:50 AM
For provably fair, software support isn't alway enough. For example big companies for provably fair system are using Quantis which is a family of hardware random number generators (RNG) which use the fundamentally random nature of quantum optics as a source of true randomness. It's good that you are going to make open source project about provably fair system but it needs improve.
5643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: you need to overcome your fear of losing money on: February 10, 2017, 09:13:36 PM
To my mind fear of losing is normal in this situation because without fare we won't care but of course when you are trading it's neccessery to psychologically analyze that every step has it's risk of loosing, so when you fear of lost, than you are trying your maximum to win. "If you treat losing as part of trading then you are an experienced trader." this is great proposal which I can't deny dispite my opinion.
5644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Crashes as Chinese Exchanges OkCoin & Huobi Pause Withdrawal on: February 10, 2017, 04:02:13 PM
Now I see that price is lower. Those chinese exchangers mostly are making things from good to worst. At first when bitfinex was hacked, price become lowered and now two serious exchangers, okcoin and houbi paused withdrawal. This situation isn't good, we won't be depenend on them, this fact shows us that we are mostly depended on them and it makes decentralization fact in question. Their these action is contravences exchangers rights.
5645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 10, 2017, 10:27:34 AM
Yes, we need to do more small and diverse investment for big risk, you know all-in in a place is very risky, if we can make small investment we may get huge gain, even it is lost, it is small, won't affect our life.

Small investment and big risk is simply waste of money. Small investment can turn into high in hype if you have great luck but this work will take you into big loose. Alslomany user here says that inveatment in gambling website don't worths even with big money, better to create your own casino.or invest in such website where you can to withdraw money without problem.
5646  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: February 10, 2017, 07:48:19 AM
For me it depends on the amount of bitcoins I will transact if it is a high amount like more than 0.02 then I will not care for the amount of fees and  will prefer for 0.0004 or more as are suggestible by blockchain automatically but if it is smaller amount for recharging my mobile then I will like to use xapo without fees transaction.
You might want to know that as from 15th of February, 2017 transaction for amounts less than 0.00030942 BTC, would start to attract some fee.

These days, I have had to pay as much as 0.0005BTC as normal fee to have my transaction processed without much delay and they actually got processed in no time. However am concerned this preferential treat would do Bitcoin more harm than good as it might escalate to the highest bidders taking over the network.

Really? Transaction for less than 0.0003btc has to pay fees? I knew that it was optional. Well, I am using my bank's bitcoin wallet and fee system is very different here, it doesn't matter how much I am going to send, I always have to pay fee 0.0001 btc even if I want to send 0.0001 btc or 10btc. I know that fee isn't normal for big transactions but every transaction was sent without any problem and in some hours with that fee. Is that normal and how is it happening?
5647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: February 10, 2017, 07:06:14 AM
Bitcoin without the altcoin is not good and it would never came so far without it for sure...
although alt coins are not necessary for bitcoin but still they are providing a little support to bitcoin. as most of the people like to invest their bitcoins in alt coins and for that reason i think alt coins are important for bitcoin.
I think bitcoin does not need Altcoins but I have no problem with the existence of altcoin. although I am a novice trader, but I had some time to get profit from trading bitcoin- altcoin.

Bitcoin was open-source from the begining. If you look, you see that everything has it's alt version so why the hell bitcoin would be by way of an exception?
Also nowdays altcoins are mostly in shadow because they can't offer us anything better than bitcoins, plus some altcoin hard forks and that's bad. Real competition is always good and if any altcoin will offer us anything better in future, who knows what will happen? Also on wiki we read "Bitcoin is often called the first cryptocurrency, although prior systems existed".
5648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay Visa - Why I Love It on: February 10, 2017, 06:29:53 AM
Everything is fine, only one thing which I don't like is 2$ fee on withdraw, it's way too much (On my card fee is 0.2$). Also it seems card is mostly for active members because dormancy fee is 25$ in month after 90 inactive days and if you have this card you mustn't be inactive Cheesy
Thanks for share and is this possible to own this card in another country? Because I also saw here that we can load money with western union.
5649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: February 10, 2017, 05:56:30 AM
One thing I  won't agree is that if there will be bitcoin shop in big cities or in towns, dont' matter, we won't be able to sell or buy bitcoin in good price because shop's fees, goverment fees and etc makes it impossible. Some people agrees here bitcoin shops and I also but I read some people's post and one man said that in this situation privacy won't be protected. What's your opinion about privacy?

5651  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: February 09, 2017, 12:41:02 PM
For this, at first you need to have active bitcoin users in real life because if people don't know it, you can't encourage local business to accept btc. At first here is a need of bitcoin's popularity, well it's not easy job but internet makes great actions for that, many people gets information from blogs, news websites and etc. At last, I want to say, if they won't accept bitcoin, they smally affect their business. <-- that's main reason why they have to accept.
5652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Win using martingale system? on: February 09, 2017, 12:22:56 PM
If anyone here thinks that martingale works, than he simply don't know elementary math. In theory, there is chanse of everything but in reality it's not happening. For example what will you do on online gambling website with martingale? Well, with algorithm, website can to detect that you are using martingale and it will change it's working plan. Can anyone here tell me who become millioner with gambling? Answer is only casino owners, not members.
5653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Kindly suggest some good Graphic card on: February 09, 2017, 11:31:11 AM
I was always using AMD cards for altcoin mining, I don't know if anything is changed on nvidia now but I still prefer AMD because if we prefer both card, we get better result and low price with amd, amd card were always cheaper than nvidia. nvidia is good for gambling with it's structure and software development. If you are going to start mining with only one gpu, it's waste of time if you want profit from it. As some people suggested you, go and try Rx 470/480.
5654  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500,000 per Bitcoin, baby. The math behind it. on: February 09, 2017, 11:14:33 AM
There is really suggestive question here. We have many years to see what will happen about bitcoin but to my mind there is no doubt that mostly bitcoin's price will grow and grow, people's interest increases, bitcoin is limited supply and many people means price of that supply will grow. We can say this for example: If we have 2 bottle of whiskey and only 1-2 people are interested with this, we will try to sell it cheaply but if 20 people wants that one whiskey bottle, there is big competition and this automatically means that we will sell whiskey in higher price because whiskey is one but 20 people wishes to buy, so higher bet wins here. Hope everyone understand what I wanted to say.
5655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MinerGate Cloud mining on: February 09, 2017, 10:05:20 AM
I was using their mining software which has great ui and in many people's eye they seem legal but adding of cloud mining makes thing in opposite side. It's possible to create really legal cloud mining like hashnest but they offer us lifetime contract like genesis which is scam for me. Also I read somewhere that they have contract with hashing24 and one man here was posting with proofs that hashing24 is scam. To my mind don't worths to invest much money here but nothing is on they way of trying.
5656  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: February 09, 2017, 09:39:42 AM
Some people here thinks that it's possible but well, this task is not so easy. For example, if you purchased bitcoin at 900$ and tomorrow you see that price is 800$ now, waiting still some days and weeks and you see that price is stable at 800-850, what are you going to do? If you'll sell bitcoins, you will lost profit. So this makes fixed income with btc trading impossible. Better to trade daily but in some situation, wait for more than one month.
5657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for the rich, not the poor on: February 09, 2017, 07:36:55 AM
Why not the poor? hah, mostly poor people are trying to do some illegal activities and bitcoin is great thing for illegal payments, they become rich after that. Paypal and some etc cards have monthly fees (as I know and also mine has) and bitcoin isn't depended on bank, wallet can be saved in computer, hard drive and etc, plus it's better for investment, I mean buy bitcoins and save it for some months or if you have nerves, for years.
5658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to analyze an ICO project going to be scam or not? on: February 08, 2017, 08:58:00 AM
Well, unique logo, design and etc means something good but if we look, nowdays many hypes are doing this to blind people. To my mind it's better to check who are behind the project, how was their past and how seriously are they working on their project because there is less risk if group of developers are experienced people, also active staff is very good. You can't 100% analyze if ICO project is going to scam but these will help you.
5659  Economy / Services / Re: QTUM Signature and Avatar Campaign [READ THE OP] on: February 08, 2017, 07:54:32 AM
Hello,

This will be the last round of the Qtum signature and avatar campaign.  We spent a lot of BTC on this initiative, but the PR firms working with us have asked us to end this.  We think there was good value from this campaign, and we plan to pay a small 15% bonus to everyone in this last round.  I told our Escrow and Campaign Manager about this a few days ago, so they will be along shortly to confirm there will be no more payments after this last round.

Brett

BlackMambaPH just told me that we have received a complaint from the forum's moderators that participants in this campaign have been spamming.  From now on, if we get any more complaints like this, we will remove the participants and report them.  We may suspend or end the campaign if this persists.

Please keep in mind that the campaign manager looks at every post, and counts them as constructive or not.  This doesn't mean the moderators here care, they just see our logo, and if it's attached to spam then we can be held responsible for promoting these kinds of posts.

We can't and don't want to 'control' what people post, we will simply remove you from the campaign if we see spamming.  We have up until now just not counted spam posts as payable, but now if we see a pattern of spammy behavior, you will be removed.

Hello,

Welcome to the Qtum signature and avatar campaign.  First off, we would like to say that we plan on following the rules set out by the forum moderators here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0

If you have not read these rules, the TL;DR version is that we will remove you from this campaign if your posts are not constructive.  One thing that we would like to mention is that we do not in any way want to control where and what you post, we only ask that your posts are constructive if you wear our signature and avatar.  If you decide to trash talk our project, that is fine, but obviously we will stop paying you.

We have hired a campaign manager on this forum named BlackMambaPH, he designed our signatures and asked if he could assist in this campaign.  We are paying him to design the campaign and enforce the rules, so please respect him.  He lives in the Phillipines, so please keep this in mind when you communicate with him, your time zone may be different.

This post will be moderated, as there should be no discussion here other than applying to participate.  Scam accusations and trolling are fine, just not in this thread please, we will actually delete posts.  If you want to troll or complain, please make another thread.  We expect there to be a lot of private messages because of this campaign, so please be patient if you send one.

This campaign will pay out in Bitcoin, and if necessary we can use an escrow.  We're not sure how an escrow will enjoy sending BTC to hundreds of addresses, so we will let our campaign manager deal with that problem if it comes up.

All bitcoins paid will originate from a Qtum address:  1qtum1H39JbLjkBZGg4HVsrt9KD6FMS3g

For those of you reading this thread, the official Qtum thread is here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1720632.0

Our official twitter is here:

Great signature campaign with great staff.
Hope we, all participants did our best for promoting your ICO and we contribute something.
5660  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [UNSOLVED] 1xBit.com suspended account without a reason - No replies - 4.3 BTC on: February 07, 2017, 01:58:46 PM
Is there any news?
Well, if anyone don't knows, I want to say that they are 1xbet.com in reality, 1xbit is same website, difference is that they accept cryptocurrency as a payment. If you type their website on google, you will see many bad reviews. Sometimes they pay you and sometimes not with very useless explains.
