5661  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 14, 2022, 05:30:52 PM
Stake is infiltrating youtube in a major way.  I noticed that lots of the Nelk Boys are now repping for Stake.  Stevewilldoit is pushing Stake on his second channel almost exclusively while also showing it on his main channel.  I've seen Kyle (head of Nelk) wearing Stake stuff in videos so I assume more will be coming there.  Bradley Martin is even doing Stake gambling streams and videos now.  Stake's growth has been impressive and seeing them all over the place seems surreal.  All I can say is congrats to the team behind all these efforts.  They're doing a great job establishing their brand into the mainstream.

A lot has changed in Bitcoin prices over the last month, but one thing remains the same.  You can still get yourself some awesome silver coins with it.  Smiley

The available stock listed in the OP is correct.  Drop me a PM if you're interested in grabbing some of them.  I received a PM asking about these coins so I figured I'd give the thread a bump and let them have some visibility.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the thread or to me directly with a PM.  Always happy to get messages from friendly folks.
5663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 14, 2022, 04:16:52 AM
looks like the Warriors know exactly what to do in the 4th quarter because they further stretch their lead to complete wins against the Boston Celtics. now that they are 1 game away to win the NBA championship this season, they can proudly say that they are back again to cause a problem for whoever will gonna be their opponent in the NBA playoffs next season. Still, Wiggins, has the most points in this game and he completely plays different games in these last two games and the results are priceless for the GSW.

Yeah, they stay locked in until the end, in the previous game (1) it's almost history repeating itself, Celtics had started the 4th very well and were building on that momentum, but Warriors also had response of their support own, it was a much better game from Draymond today and Curry didn't have to score a lot but they were still able to win.

But the big question now is that can the Warriors secure the championship in Game 6 at the TD Garden ?

I think they will. If they can win with Steph having the shooting night he had tonight, the Celtics are in all sorts of trouble. Wiggins has stepped up and shown them that he’ll destroy them if they slack on defense and Klay was back to hitting shots. If Draymond could get a 3 to fall, the Celtics would be done. The next game will be a must watch for sure. The Celtics with their backs to the wall at home. It’s going to get gritty.
5664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 14, 2022, 02:15:55 AM
Wiggins is having himself another game. His highest scoring playoff half ever and 7 rebounds to match. I’ve been a fan of that kid since his days at Kansas and thought he caught a bad rap just because Cleveland wanted to swap him for Love to pair with LeBron and win immediately, which they did. Seeing him finally be appreciated by the Warriors and able to shine in the nba finals is awesome. I hope he stays on the warriors because it’s the first place that’s really shown him the respect he deserves. Love what I’m seeing as the warriors look likely to take a 3-2 lead over the Celtics.

Edit: Definitely spoke too soon! The Celtics come out and hit 8 straight 3s to start the 2nd half!!
5665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you ready to buy/sell for bitcoins now? on: June 13, 2022, 11:11:08 PM
Bitcoin may still be in a volatile market for a long time. How are you ready to dispose of your assets now? Would you like to buy and sell your assets/products/services for bitcoins? How are you ready to negotiate a price to make the deal go through?
Let's discuss assets, goods and services which price is more than $200 net. Inexpensive goods have already been discussed on this forum. For now, we will not take into account the fact that the use of crypto may be prohibited in one country or another. Let's find how we are ready to negotiate, and what tools we do need in order the buyer could find the seller.

Selling the items you bought with $65K BTC now isn't the worst idea.  Buy fancy car, drive for a year, sell for more in BTC than you paid.  Sounds like a good deal to me.  Smiley

Doesn't have to be a car either.  Maybe jewelry or collector coins.  Basically anything...  Even USD...  I think the folks who were able to sell at $65K are probably happy to buy back twice as many coins and spend the rest on whatever they see fit.  This is why diversification is always important, sometimes even with things that might not appear to be smart financial purchases at the time.
5666  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Eclipse Poster 2011 Casascius "Error" Dual Panel -- Available -- on: June 13, 2022, 11:04:06 PM
I think it looks great and I'll be proud to hang one of these up in my office.  Thanks for making them.  I can't wait to see if it looks as detailed in person.

My question is about the frame.  Do you have any leads or recommendations about what frame can display these things in all their beauty?  Do you have them in double sided frames or in your pictures are the backs of those frames all black?  Thanks again!  Good luck with the rest of your sales!

2x 18x24 poster frames can be used to accurately display these posters, Although without a light source they would not shine and be full of contrast.

In the ideal scenario these posters are professionally framed (mounted). Art lights can be hung over top and it would make for the coolest aesthetic you have ever seen.

OH!  I had totally misunderstood this poster.  I thought it was double sided and framed in such a way that you can see both sides.  Not sure why I thought that, but in my mind that would be an awesome way to showcase it in the right spot.  I may have to find some sort of double sided frame to put both of them in and display that way.  In my mind, that's how it was going to be, so that's how it will be.  Smiley  Thanks for clarifying!
5667  Other / Meta / Re: [Statistics] OgNasty's Merit Faucet on: June 13, 2022, 10:59:18 PM
I personally think it was a quite good idea to distribute merits while helping newbies to learn something useful, besides OG clarified he checked the users who applied to avoid meriting cheaters, spammers, etc as much as possible, encoraging users who had a fairly chance to become good contributors of the forum, that's just my personal point of view, of course...

I thought so as well, even though I did get a ton of pushback and saw some threads making allegations that I was doing this for nefarious reasons (shocker, I know).  It isn't totally selfless though I will admit.  I've found that checking the newbies in that thread has allowed me to ignore a TON of spammers.  This pays dividends down the road as well, because those users will NEVER have the chance to get merit from me now.  Not to mention I'll never have to waste my time reading their posts.  From my perspective that's an awesome benefit and nearly worth the effort of the thread by itself.
5668  Economy / Reputation / Re: The curious case of user 🏰 TradeFortress 🏰 on: June 13, 2022, 10:28:46 PM
I did my best to reimburse customers with the remaining balance, both small and big. Later on, thanks to buying Ethereum in the ICO, I was able to reimburse a much greater portion of creditors.

I know many of the people commenting here weren't actually around back then, so let me just say that while it cannot be proved who ran with the coins from the "hack," it seems clear to me that TradeFortress did make an effort to pay people back and if he was trying to sign up for a signature campaign to help him repay more people, it is a shame that those who weren't around back then but choose to harm him anyway with negative trust ratings are actually hurting the ability for full repayment.  This attitude of wanting to leave negative trust to people who make strong efforts on behalf of this community has always dumbfounded me.  It's an attitude that has allowed those who contribute nothing to 'rise to power' in the trust network while those who are responsible for Bitcoin's early success by building use cases are demonized and forced out of the community.

I know I already posted in this thread once detailing how I was repaid what is now a six figure sum of $ in Bitcoin by TradeFortress, but I can't stress enough how repaying this amount of money to a stranger is not something a scammer would do.  At least in my opinion.

I wouldn't have tried joining a signature campaign if I was sitting on millions of dollars of bitcoins, lol.

Broke mentality for life!

5669  Other / Meta / Re: Are you a merit source? Thanks for your sacrifice. on: June 13, 2022, 10:08:37 PM
In same vain, can our outstanding merits sources have the supper power to send themselves a few merits every month? (Not actually a proposal, but an idea decorator).

An idea, for sure.  Not a good one though.  I couldn't imagine the amount of drama it would stir up if I gave myself a single merit for anything.  LOL

It would be with good reason too.  I would be annoyed at anyone meriting themselves.  I think we all probably believe our posts deserve merit, so having others issue it is just the common sense thing to do.  Don't feel sorry for merit sources.  Many of us likely benefit from handing out merit in one way or another.  Just look at who sends the most merit and who receives the most merit.
5670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 13, 2022, 09:59:28 PM
So that's the question!
The Celtics will have to choose whether to defend Curry or Thompson! If Smart or Tatum are on a defensively inspired day, I have no doubt they could cut down or even cancel out Curry or Thompson!

That's not so simple.  You can't just choose to guard Curry.  He has such great off the ball movement, he can basically pick which defender he wants and utilize screens to make it happen.  All he needs is an inch of space to get off a shot, so he's going to get his shots.  The Celtics can try to chase him around, but ultimately it will take team defense to stop him.  Even then he would likely become a playmaker and get his other guys involved.  Now they even have Poole to throw in there and exhaust the defense while Curry rests.  I think the Warriors don't lose another game this series, but I could quickly be proven wrong.  Smiley
5671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: June 13, 2022, 09:56:45 PM
I've never had huge winnings when it comes to gambling.  Mostly because I gamble for fun so it's more about putting some extra excitement in the game than it is trying to make money.  I have had a couple big scores though.  I recall one year I bet pretty big against Dallas during Thanksgiving.  The odds were that they were going to win because Tony Romo was coming back from injury and everyone seemed to think he was going to carry them to a win.  I on the other hand thought he was washed, so I made a big bet that paid off.  What did I spend the money on you ask?  Everyone who was with me that Thanksgiving partied pretty well.  It was good times.  Smiley
5672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 13, 2022, 09:53:48 PM
I would imagine that the Bitcoin dump doesn't have many positive effects on anyone, outside of those who are short.  Perhaps there are some people who feel like they can gamble their way out of their investment losses, or people who are so fed up with losing their investment that they just risk it all as holding has become exhausting for them mentally.  Besides added risk taking with gambling, I could see people doing the same with investing by using leverage.  I'm sure you may end up hearing some stories about people betting their last coins and winning big, but there will be a lot of stressed out people who make bad decisions based on their temporary emotions and live to regret it.  As always, be careful.
5673  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 13, 2022, 09:50:27 PM
I've noticed that Stevewilldoit has started putting multiple videos up per week showing him playing on Stake.  His latest video spree seems to be about him gambling on stake with huge bets, then if he wins he spends the money buying things for others (cars, houses, etc).  If he loses, he buys people things anyway, probably from the revenue his videos generate.  If you want to support Stake advertisers and enjoy seeing people gamble or give stuff away, check it out.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_x_s5Gr3OdqrIOmUCxjMAg

This is his second channel that shows mostly gambling, but he gives Stake lots of love in his first channel as well.
5674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 13, 2022, 09:46:43 PM
Speaking of Jim Cramer...  While the Schiff indicator might suggest a bounce is in the works for the Bitcoin market, the Jim Cramer indicator seems to be saying there's more pain in store for stocks: https://twitter.com/jimcramer/status/1536413926379950086

When Jim says he's loading up on stocks here, you might want to run for the hills.  The funny thing is in the comments everyone is begging to know what it is he's buying exactly so they can short it.  Proof that you can be terrible at your job, but if you're entertaining there is always someone willing to listen to you.
5675  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Platinum, Gold, & Silver @ spot on: June 13, 2022, 06:11:43 PM
Is 1oz rounds the BTC ones?

Those ones have been selling pretty well at full price recently through my retail channels (for USD luckily), but if you are looking to add a couple to your collection we could talk about it.  I have to a pay a few dollars above spot price for them to be made, then there's shipping and stuff, but maybe we could work a deal on one or some of them if you wanted.  I'd rather not sell a lot of those at spot and take a loss while adding competition to my retailers, but for personal collections we could discuss.

I'd rather sell a 100oz bar to be honest, but I'm always willing to work a deal.

I could also restart this auction if anyone was interested.  I'm a little surprised nobody bid to be honest.

5676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC on other chains is not BTC on: June 13, 2022, 05:46:13 PM
To open the discussion, my opinion is that bitcoin on any other chains is not bitcoin. Do not encourage binance or assist binance in their attempt to take control with their shit useless alt network. BTC is BTC, not BSC.

My question to you is this...  Do you consider the Lightning Network to be a different chain than BTC, or do you consider LBTC to be BTC?  I'd be curious to know your position and if you believe that WBTC is not BTC but LBTC is, please explain.  I know even mentioning LBTC is controversial here because people pretend to love it so much, but I want to kick the hornets nest and see what falls out.  Disclaimer: I do not own any LBTC or WBTC, just good old fashioned BTC.
5677  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Schiff Advices Don't Buy the Dip on: June 13, 2022, 05:43:26 PM
Cramer at least states stock fundamentals whether he is wrong or not, Schiff has no interest in any part of crypto so he is not even in this sector.

I wouldn't say Cramer states stock fundamentals.  If you watch his show he is basically throwing around wild opinions and trying to make it as interesting as possible with loud noises and funny graphics.  He's an entertainer and he gets paid to get you to watch his show.  He has to appeal to people to he pretends to have actual knowledge behind his comments, but the numbers don't lie.  He's basically the worst stock adviser you will be able to find anywhere.  A chicken pecking at the newspaper could literally make better investment choices.

As for Schiff, he is the opposite.  Cramer wants you to buy crap, so he floods you with information about the crap.  Schiff wants you to avoid crap, so he gives you reasons why you should avoid the sector.  In both cases, they've found a renewal of their careers by taking their stances, so I don't expect either of them to change anytime soon.  They are talking heads who are there to push 1 agenda.  It doesn't matter what's going on in the market.  Their view won't change.  It's their bread and butter.
5678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a solution to alts leeching off bitcoin's strong valuation? on: June 13, 2022, 05:38:15 PM
Big alts are buying bitcoin and using it as collateral, or wrapping it, or using it as part of their defi shenanigans.
Alts used to exist independently to compete with bitcoin, now they're drag it along with them and screwing bitcoiners.

I don't think wrapped Bitcoin or that locked away is the problem.  The massive influx of coins is definitely a form of inflation though.  I talked about this a little bit about 8 years ago I think.  I was strongly against altcoins at that time due to their shadow inflation of Bitcoin.  That was up until the block wars made it clear that Bitcoin wasn't going to be able to handle all the necessary use cases for crypto.  So I'm not against altcoins anymore.  I understand they are a necessity as a result of Bitcoin's blocks being limited into the future.  It is a shame that it played out this way, but it is what it is.

Bitcoin being pushed as a store of value makes it really difficult to use for most use cases.  So altcoins, or ETFs, or whatever other nonsense you want to add in are going to have to use Bitcoin in their shenanigans, otherwise Bitcoin would be of 0 value in the future.
5679  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Platinum, Gold, & Silver @ spot on: June 13, 2022, 05:29:51 PM
Feels like it's that time again...  I've got some 100oz silver bars, and of course lots of 1oz rounds that I'm willing to sell at spot price.  I also believe I've got some 1oz gold rounds sitting in my safe deposit box that I could part ways with.

If you're interested, drop me a PM with what you're looking for and I can check and see what sort of deal we can make.  Please US only for now.  Thanks for looking!  Smiley
5680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 13, 2022, 05:19:44 PM
Looks like we got some capitulation today.  Volumes are spiking up to near the Do Kwon disaster now and it appears the worst is behind us (for now).  The dead cat bounce to $24K doesn't appear to be holding, so I expect we'll do some testing of these new recent lows.  With Binance resuming withdrawals though, it seems like today's low may finally be in after a night of crypto being ravaged.  Stocks are taking a hit as well, so it begs the question of if the Fed will continue raising rates and winding down their balance sheet.  Unless they're pivoting to a new strategy, I expect we'll hear some news about backing off their plans this week.  After living through the 2008-2012 period, I expect billions of dollars in stimulus to be announced anytime the market shows disapproval of the Government's actions.  In this case though, we may need Fed action as the government appears to be backed into a corner.
