FJ!  Here's another what could be a fun game you guys could add with all the quarantines and the lockdowns:  https://www.fantasycongress.com

Fantasy Congress.  Lolol.  I guess now is the best time to watch those guys a wee bit closely imo...  Cheesy
5682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 28, 2020, 02:07:01 PM

Too bad City is gonna have a hard time acquiring top prospects without CL football.  And with this outbreak just getting started, I don't think clubs will spend as much on player transfers (for the time being) after this thing is over.

^  I'm with you...  But we'll see.  It's really looking like it's just getting started and won't be slowing down in just 'a couple of months.'.  This thing could be a wake up call.

5684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 28, 2020, 01:54:37 PM
^  I was hopeful..  But seeing the stats, it looks like a BTC bull chart from 2017.  And it doesn't look like it'll slow down in a couple of months.  It's just getting started.
5685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: March 28, 2020, 12:25:46 PM
^  National and everything below them.  I don't think they could do it with League 2 and up.  But then again it's possible that they have no idea what they're gonna do.  Lolol.

I think the CL & EL could ‘potentially’ be cancelled but I do think the top European Leagues will be completed.

I'm hearing talks that there are some EPL clubs that want to end the season even if it means denying Liverpool of their first title after 30 years.  Seems unfair imo.
5686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 28, 2020, 12:19:57 PM
^  Oooo that's uber degen.  Let's stick with plain old normal degen..  Where we could at least have a better probability to win some monies.  And I guess it'll get everybody at the pool together too.

Move over United.  Real just showed interest on we could be the hottest prospect in Europe right now...  Haaland.  When Real calls, everybody listens to what they got to say.
Ya'll ready to see how my club destroys Haaland's promising football career?  Cool

We all know that Zidane will keep grandpa Benz in the starting XI and Haaland will be our typical sub in the last 10 to waste time, just like Mariano and Jovic  Roll Eyes

@tokeweed If Halland joins Real Madrid then he’ll be forgotten in one season only, as he’ll barely get any chance to show his magic on the pitch.

I don't think so.  Sure he might not start a lot at his first season, he's young at such a huge club.  But he's gonna be the long term replacement for sure.
5689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: March 27, 2020, 05:28:43 PM
^  I think it's gonna plateau around summer and then start peaking again around winter 2020.  We haven't seen the worst of it yet imo.  Stay safe guys...
5690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 27, 2020, 11:41:26 AM
^  Too old meaning..?  Ferguson is still in his prime judging from his performances and hasn't shown to be declining.  Khabib vs him could be closer to a coin flip than what the bookies priced it imho.

They can't buy him now.
He has a clause for 75 millions enabled from 2022.
If they want him they need to wait 2 more years also we have rumors about a potential agreement for Halaand-Juventus with the deal of Emre Can on the last winter session.

Real should point on Mbappè not Halaand imho.

Yup...  Better.

Anyway another deal I wanna get done is Alaba + cash to City for Leroy Sane.  I've always been waiting for him to play at the EPL.
5692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 27, 2020, 11:30:04 AM
^  He's still an idiot tho...  I guess he'll be stripped off the LHW title and have Thiago Santos and Dominic Reyes fight for it?  That wouldn't be a bad match up imo.

Adesanya having a field day on the twitterz...  Lmao.

Oh look who's on its way back top 10.  Grin  Looks it's finally being realized how undervalued Romero is...  And how so overvalued some of the other coins are.

But again...  I'd accept for the season's pool to be scratched if the EPL scratches the season and there's no winner.  Pretty sure LFC would call a war against it too.

If the current top five agrees to scrapping this tournament (assuming it doesn't get going any time soon) we could put all the prize money into the pot for next season. I would probably only do this though if all the top 5 were okay with it. If this season doesn't get finished though I dread to think when the new league would start. Could be a long time before that happens if things get worse which I'm sure it will before it gets better. I'm not expecting anything catastrophic but enough to scare the gov into not allowing things to go ahead until the coast is well and truly clear but there's no end in sight for that.

Still a no for me...  I propose a degen route:  Let's bet the whole pot in the biggest show in sporting events right now.  UFC 249.  We gamble on Tony Ferguson.  He's around 3.5ish (but highly underestimated for this match) the last time I looked.  We get the price money for the top 5, we return everybody's reg. fee and the rest goes to the pot for the next pool...  or nothing.

With me, say aye!

^  Too small at 1/2 - 2/4 imo (that's like nano stakes converted to USD).  But SWC could at least start them at 10/20 (which I have been suggesting) to get some more action going on there and build their poker economy off of that.
5697  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Bitcoin Speculation Thread. Please Critique my Analysis. ;) on: March 25, 2020, 01:48:51 PM
^  So that means (he thinks) it could start going sideways.  I don't think a lot of traders are too excited getting back in after that huge break down from 8k to 4k.  Lol.  They could go short tho.

Sure, trading in the $5,000s now is like trading in the $200s in 2015. BTCUSD was extremely bearish from Q1-Q3 2015 in any longer term classical TA sense.

In the same way, the recent drop from $10K was quite bearish and it still feels like the bottom could fall out any time now. Will it? Stay tuned and find out. The high volume V-bottom off $3,850 tells me we may be in another 2015-like accumulation period. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196072.msg54020305#msg54020305

The bottom's in, sure...  But here's what I'm thinking (And I got a lot of flak from this.  Lol)...  BTC could also happen like the Nikkei.  The Nikkei hasn't made new highs in three decades.  What do you think?

When people are risk adverse, there will be a general contraction towards cash and towards bonds.  Certainty and defined payouts over equity involvement or any projected but unset revenue.   That will apply to crypto because we've progressed so far in usage that at least part of the monetary base for BTC or other major blockchains is related to wider monetary standards and global reserve currencies, expansion or contraction in that money according to fractional reserve will affect us.
When main markets sell off over days or in this case weeks expect some hot money to depart as those obligated to leveraged positions have no choice but to sell both good and bad positions to get their account level.    Gold took many big knocks to its base despite being a reserve asset and continued strong buying demand and so will every asset, any price be uneven to some extent in that surge of market volume.
I've had a portfolio setup to track news on Yahoo since at least the last big scare of '08 and their portal has always been a good overview on market mood, I'll give it a read.

Volatility is a bull market, I believe there is more ahead because we have departed from hard money standards so greatly during my lifetime; to quote Ben S. Bernanke 'Maybe this is one of those cases where you can’t go home again,'    I.e. QE cannot be reversed or normalised & we are transitioning away from the post war currency standards into something else, I dont believe it will all be crypto but some of it will and thats a large part of why this sector is expanding imo.

Just wondering...  If everybody is risk adverse and holding cash due to the break down of the price and the outbreak, wouldn't a lot of people in the space hold USDT too?  I think FJ should start accepting USDT deposits (all three issued in Omni, Tron and the Ethereum).

^  Yup.  Feels like your body has just woken up and it needs more time on the pitch to get your momentum back.  It could be good betting on the underdogs.  Lol.

The person with the most near guessing date get’s the pot ha? Smiley
Toke will be the one who will say against it and will call a war against it 🤪
Jokes aside, I do not think we will have no more matches for this season but unlikely if it happens then I will prefer the current leaderbaord as final since we can not do much.

Lol.  It's unfair.  And I'm not saying that cos I'm leading the pool.  But again...  I'd accept for the season's pool to be scratched if the EPL scratches the season and there's no winner.  Pretty sure LFC would call a war against it too.

Me and Klopp will fight it together.  Lolol.  Grin
