5681  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org inaccessible from Turkey? on: October 03, 2019, 03:51:26 AM
Meanwhile, if you are in Istanbul, there is a Crypto cafe in Kadikoy you might really enjoy checking out where enthusiasts gather to discuss crypto currencies almost 24 / 7, it's called Altcoin Turk Wink (I can give the directions for anyone interested)... Enjoy your trip
This sounds good. It also makes me wonder why a nation who seems not to be too friendly with bitcoin/cryptocurrencies would acts as a 'container' to a cryptocurrency cafe for enthusiasts, which obviously would include bitcoin enthusiast, to gather and talk.

It makes me conclude that It could also be that this sites that block bitcointalk forum, do so out of their own arbitrary decisions, without the enforcement of the government, because if it were, no site would be able to house it, but apparently there are many others that do, users should be aware of them, so if they find themselves in Turkey, it wouldn't be an issue accessing the forum.

It's going to be very hard for Inter to qualify from the group stages now except they can get 4 points from the two consecutive fixture coming up against Dortmund. While Barcelona is in a very good position as they should comfortably get 6 points for Slavia Prague.
I think inter have blown their chances of qualifying, I knew this was going to be a tough group for them, and now it is proving even tougher, it'll take a miracle for inter to qualify ahead of Dortmund, but it's still a bit open.
They shouldn't have drawn against slavia Prague, when you're in such group, you need to beat and take away six points from the weakest team.

I never expected them to perform too well in the UCL, it's in the Italian seria A that I'm backing them to win the trophy, only if juve has something to say about this.
5683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you think Bitcoin is the world's most widely used cryptocurrency, you're wrong on: October 02, 2019, 09:06:09 PM
So many people do not even know what Tether is, I doubt if there is anyone who is not an enthusiast that has heard about tether, there are even question marks about whether we should call tether a cryptocurrency in the first place, because it's more or less like a fiat currency.

Tether is not the most used cryptocurrency, if it can be called one, in fact it's only used by day traders who simply want to make profit off it, the bitcoin doesn't guarantee immediate profits, with all its volatility, but it is the main driving force behind the blockchain technology as its most widely used and accepted for diverse purposes, not just for 'trading'.
5684  Other / Meta / Re: Temp Sig Bans please - For a new kind of Campaign on: October 02, 2019, 07:17:40 PM
I dont like all paid sigs
There's really nothing wrong with paid signatures, it's just like doing what one ordinarily does daily,  that's logging into the forum and 'discussing' with other users either about bitcoin, the forum, altcoins etc, but earning a little BTC in the process. But the problem is with some users, such as majority of them on that blacklist, who forgot the actual reason why such privilege was put in the first place, which is not to hinder the discussions, nor make them look 'stupid' due to the intent with which they now post, just to earn and not to corroborate the ideas of others in the discussion.

Yahoo's list may not be the most comprehensive, neither is he expecting other campaigns to simply buy into it, it just makes things easier and leaves us with the ease of looking into such users and making our own judgement.
5685  Other / Meta / Re: Please don't use bold text in your posts. on: October 02, 2019, 06:50:25 PM
Writing a whole text or post in capital letters is really funny and wrong, it's just like writing an essay, composition or a letter all in capital letters, it'll make it difficult to read and laughable to some extent.
There are things that need to be capitalized, such as the first word in a sentence, the first word after a full stop and also to draw a readers attention to a particular word or sentence, when the correct rules that apply to capitalizatiom is used, then it makes sense.

When a whole text is in upper case letters, it can send a message that the OP doesn't really know what he or she is saying and is not really sure about their ideas.
5686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 30, 2019, 03:38:05 PM
Spurs vs Bayern is probably the big game tomorrow, right? Any early comments about this match? Given their current form in the league, one could think that Tottenham stands no chance against the germans, but I have a feeling they'll put up a good fight tomorrow. Btw, bookies are favoring Bayern.
Bayern are obviously the better side on "paper", but you and i know that for so many years Bayern Munich have struggled for form and consistency, especially in the premier league.
Spurs' form in last seasons champions league is also another thing to consider, they played so well, especially when they met the bigger teams.

This match to me definitely doesn't hold any favorites, I'll be predicting a draw in this game, the two teams score goals, so it'll be most probably a 2-2 draw, but for sure goals would light up this encounter.
5687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of Bitcoin growing Dominance on the Crypto space on: September 30, 2019, 05:59:32 AM
Of course, this makes it very difficult for some coins to survive since the meaning of altcoins was to fight off bitcoin at its throne and try to surpass it
I disagree with that, altcoins is not in circulation to fight bitcoin or for one of it to try and be the number one cryptocurrency, alt-means alternative, and that's something used when the other closely related item or whatever is not available.
Altcoins are there for those who wouldn't be able to get bitcoins to purchase them, though rather than purchase altcoins, I'll rather buy bitcoins with the exact value of that money.
5688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 30, 2019, 05:09:41 AM
Barcelona's performance was very ordinary given the opposition. Also Lenglet was sent off in the game which shows the form of barca's back line. I think they need Messi to pull them out of this slump and carry the team to these results. Plus Valverde's tactics have been way off recently.
Barca are not looking like a team that will win any trophy this season-no offence to Blaugrana fans in here. But the truth be told, they are playing like an ordinary team with no real bite up front and in defense, I just hope by the time Messi is fully fit to play and perform, it wouldn't be too late to start doing catch up.

I doubt I've ever seen the Spanish LA liga table this way, all the teams are going for it hammer and thongs, no clear favorites and no one knows what'll happen, at least for now, the table could still take normal shape in few weeks. Grin
5689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 2000 Projects Reviewed – 640 have not published a single Code in 2019 on: September 29, 2019, 10:58:14 AM
Many Cryptocurrency exchanges clearly do not have strong standards for coins they list. This is one of the reasons many substandard projects have refused to vanish.
I also believe exchanges can be held responsible for listing and putting into circulation shitcoins for people to purchase, most of this shit projects would not have been listed, if there were no likewise shit exchanges. We all know it costs more to list on a quality exchange, and this projects would not spend that amount on their shit coin.

If every exchange can be of good standard, then shit coins would disappear fast as they would not be able to list their coins.Yobit needs to work on their standards, or else good coins would never want to be affiliated with them.
5690  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestions to Improve the India forum on: September 29, 2019, 04:55:46 AM
But The Indian local board is running in English language.
I was surprised by this. This board is more like a country board than a local one.
You do not have to be surprised about this, the English language alongside Hindi are the two most popular languages in India, though Hindi has more speakers than the English language, but the both languages can be regarded as India's official language.

So if English language is used in their local board, it's as a result of the fact that probably majority of them in there are part of the percentage that speak English more than Hindi, even in real life, even though it's a bit strange since its called a "Local board" for users who struggle with English to start off there. I do not think they need a specific moderator since this is the case, any MOD can from time to time go there and regulate what's going on there easily as the language used is the forums official language.
5691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 27, 2019, 05:43:02 PM
October is gonna be a very hard month for Manchester Utd. They have to face Arsenal and Tottenham in EPL and Chelsea in EFL. While those teams are not running in that much of a good form but Manchester Utd is having the form far worse than them. I even have doubts against Newcastle and Norwich fixtures.
And could it get any worse for them, Ole gunner Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba is a big doubt for their game against Arsenal on Monday, adding him to the list of injured players that must have to watch from the sidelines. If Solskjaer must save his job and relieve himself off some early pressure, he needs to beat Arsenal, that's the only way they can go on to have a successful month despite the tough fixtures ahead.

They could lose this game and a terrible month could be looming.
5692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after cryptocurrency on: September 27, 2019, 04:54:17 PM
Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.
Cryptocurrencies aren't taking over "banknotes", they are becoming more and more popular, but to claim that fiat is dying down due to the emergence of bitcoin is making an absolute mistake.

We can not predict what will happen in the next decade or century, the direction money or means of payment will take is not known to anyone and any statement on it is just speculations, but there is every tendency for digital forms to be more appreciated and used then, as its growth even at the moment looks unstoppable and not in doubt.
5693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 27, 2019, 04:34:22 PM
Finally, the premier of Italy has spoken about racism, He wants a life ban for racist at stadiums let's see what happens.
It has been a long time coming, racism in the Italian league has been on for so long as black players have been subjected to racist chants and abuse for so long in the league, so many times players have been threatened to boycott games if such behavior continues, let's hope a lasting solution such as this one is implemented.
AC Milan is a joke team right, now...
- If Milan will lose they probably go for a new coach
They really need a new coach, just like inter did get a new coach, and now they are rejuvenated and will compete for the title this season, AC Milan need a new coach that has a winning mentality and will be dedicated to pull then out from the slumps, they've been there for too long.
5694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 27, 2019, 03:06:52 PM
The first Madrid Derby of the season will be held tomorrow. Both teams looking really in good shape. R Madrid is unbeaten for 5 matches. Atletico Madrid would be hoping to win this match and move to the top of the table. I am expecting a excellent performance from Hazard on this big game...
It's an Athletico victory for me, i do not think Madrid can take anything from this game, the best is a draw for them. Athletico Madrid have started the season in finer form than their crosstown rivals and I can see that reflect in tomorrow's game, big game it is, I'll be placing my bet in favor of Athletico Madrid, I hope they do not disappoint.
Because I saw Hazard is struggling on Madrid.
I think it's too early to say Hazard is struggling at his new club, I doubt if he has started up to three games for Madrid, and for a player just recovering from injury, I think we can cut him some slack, though this is a good opportunity for him to show why that much money was spent on him.
5695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 27, 2019, 09:18:27 AM
How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.
I make it a rule not to bet against my team. I support one of the best teams in the world, so there is a little chance that any other team would be far favorites against them.

And if I must ever go against that, I'll just place the bet and go ahead and support my team, if we do win, it's lovely, though I'll lose my bet, if we lose, bad day, but I've earned a little to make me smile despite the loss. Anyway it goes it's not going to be any disaster, since I never bet with what I cannot afford to lose.
5696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 27, 2019, 06:17:25 AM
I think Inter will play a decent game at Barcelona stadium but I think they will not be able to get a draw there so probably they will come out of there with 0 points. This will make it very difficult for Inter to pass the group stages of the Champions League, they need at least one point in this game in order to hope for qualification.
As things stand now, with Barcelona's really poor form and Messi being injured, I see no reason why inter who are in one of their best forms in a very long while, can't go out there and get all three points, I ain't saying they will, but they are in a good shape and can defeat Barcelona.

I also think it's too early to start talking about qualification chances, note that Barcelona also didn't win their first game against Dortmund, so everything is still open, I believe Barca and inter would qualify at the end of the day.
5697  Other / Meta / Re: And the yobit.net campaign is back on: September 27, 2019, 05:45:45 AM
- reduce the number of daily messages?
The number of daily messages is not the problem, it could be five or even ten, yet the participants in the campaign could still make five shitposts. As long as the 20 required posts isn't the minimum for payout per day, then any one who feels it's within his capabilities to make the 20 posts without spamming nor post bursting can go ahead and do so, mind you you'll need a manager that'll be strict to adhere to the rules, "no spamming or burst posting"
- or we can ask yahoo62278 (if he approve it) or somebody else to moderate our sig campaign and create new topic
The participants that make up the campaign are the representatives that the forum sees, you'll need a manager that'll select the very good posters, that way everywhere the signature is seen, it'll be complemented with a sensible and quality post above it.
Yahoo, Hamphuz, Dark star and some other top managers do and can do that effectively, you'll need to contact them if you wish, to know if they'll be interested, considering the furore this campaign has caused.
5698  Other / Meta / Re: And the yobit.net campaign is back on: September 27, 2019, 05:15:46 AM
So promoting crypto talk forum is not a problem until the campaign participants are not spamming here.
I'll take your stand on this, and I can understand why theymos wouldn't bother troubling his head over this sort of shitty forum advertising itself on bitcointalk.
It definitely is not nor will it be in any competition with bitcointalk, it'll probably just die off after some time, and to promote freedom to advertise in this forum as long as rules are upheld.

I doubt theymos would stop their ad here, only if their promoters post continuous spam, then we're directly affected and strick action would be served.
5699  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be careful of Bitcoins giveaways that are too good to be true on: September 27, 2019, 04:48:15 AM
Thanks for the information OP,  I'm aware of someone(personally/real life) who fell for this sort of scam recently, this individual is not really into the bitcoin network, but came across this sort of interesting offer online and decided to make some money, but did the exact opposite, I actually got to know after he had already been duped.

He was greedy, and that's the first desire to avoid if one is to avoid falling for scams, be it related to cryptocurrency or other areas of life. We should also be knowledgeable on the system, there is no way your bitcoin can double that way, if it did, why would people hodl for years just to make profits, they should have simply sent it to doublers and made twice their money. A knowledgeable person cannot believe such nonsense.
5700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would someone use an exchange to shift $1.2 Billion worth of bitcoins? on: September 27, 2019, 03:43:16 AM
The story could be false, but that's not saying it cannot be true, but whichever it is, the truth is that the bitcoin price has been falling for some days now, and its peculiar with enthusiasts to bring up possible reasons for that, even when they are not true.

We'll have to wait a couple of days to ascertain the veracity of this news, to be sure it's not just someone there trying to out the blame on bitcoin whales, even if the news be a rumour it could also be negative towards the bitcoin, especially for the new enthusiasts in the system through the introduction of Bakkt.
