5701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin May Extinct on: October 18, 2019, 12:53:16 PM
Lol, bitcoin has existed for the last ten years and even though there are attempts to stop it, somehow bitcoin survived so I doubt that we will go instinct in the next ten years. For me that is the critical because it's the formative stage of it, and ever if did survived (which we did), then there's no stopping it.

Maybe you can also include this bitcoin obituaries?  Grin https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/

And pretty much all your questions has been answered already, Satoshi left us, just imagine that, the creator suddenly disappear but his invention lives on. Are there more challenging than that?
5702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra Just Got Its First Major Supporter in Congress on: October 18, 2019, 12:05:25 PM
I wouldn't actually call this support though, he is just voicing his opinion on the subject here. And you know what? Libra has hired someone to lobbyist for them and I'm sure this is the result of such move from Facebook. So we might see some Congressman out there changing their tunes or still some of them are against Libra because they are afraid of the power that Facebook can have in the future.

There's no backing from Mark Z, he is all out and wanted his project to be on production next year, regardless of US government opposition or some of their partners deciding to leave them at this time.
5703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]:Crawford vs. Kavaliauskas on: October 18, 2019, 11:37:04 AM
Kavaliauskas wasn't too convincing in his last outing which ended in a draw by majority decision. But both boxers go into this fight undefeated. Crawford would almost certainly be the favorite to win this bout. But with the strings of surprises we've had this year, he would need to take the gloves off, and prepare adequately for his opponent.

I do not even know who this fighter is hehe.

In any case, this is why boxing's popularity is declining. The best are not fighting the best anymore. I reckon only Manny Pacquiao is the only latest boxer that has taken that challenge in 8 different weight divisions.
Well boxing is a big business, with so many promoters/personalities around that's why we can't see the best fighting the best as compare to UFC. Canelo could be one boxers as well to rise to the rank as boxing cash cow.

@bisdak40 - that's how Arum's build this empire and he can stop politicizing boxing if he is well rewarded like what they did on Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather.
5704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive Crypto Whales Move 318,649 BTC Worth $3 Billion * the bitcoin cafe on: October 17, 2019, 04:00:54 PM
That is a shit ton of money. I don't think this is the work of a single individual. This is probably the work of a group of rich whales transferring the funds.

The fees doesn't look too high based on what I have observed. Just imagine the fees involved if the whale chose something like paypal etc. 1.34% of all BTC currently in circulation. Insane indeed.

Yes definitely is was a good money, but still, I am happy that what happens in just, they only move the money or transferred it, there's nothing to worry about unless they cash it out for fiats. Maybe, the whales at this time is now starting to position themselves to create good market profits. I am pretty sure that small investors will not just let this pass, one move from whales, many will going to follow. And we should always be prepared for something that is about to happen.
Probably whales, or some miners moving their wealth around and check some and yes, it is still intact so obviously it hasn't been sold off yet. Maybe he is a long term holder for all we known. There has been reported that huge amount of bitcoin is moving around the crypto sphere and it really cost less money as compare to other payment methods and this is bitcoin's advantage.

The only thing that I don't like this being in the media though is that most of the time they exaggerate the movement as if someone is manipulating the price behind.
5705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]:Crawford vs. Kavaliauskas on: October 17, 2019, 03:26:04 PM
I never heard of Kavaliauskas before, but in paper he has an impressive records, highlights here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuVnwE39I28

Looks like this guys is on pure offense, coming forward fighter and this is perfect for Crawford. Really good job from Top Rank because this is a tailor made for Crawford and he will really look good in this fight. Remember style makes fight so I think this is an easy fight for Bud.

Yup I was about to post that too, this guy is an offensive machine and very violent with his attack I don't know much about his defense if he goes against Crawford with that kind of attack he will be in trouble, he will be likened to Gamboa who made a lot of mistakes by doing a lot of offense against a very good counter puncher in Crawford, I don't rule out an upset here, but let's see Kavaliauskas has a punching power, he can pull an upset.
He will be countered by Crawford all day long when he tries to go closer.Yes, I would agree that it will be a similar fight to Gamboa and we all know what happens to that fight. Gamboa being so aggressive and thought that he can just steam rolled Crawford that time that he keeps on coming on.

But Crawford was just countering him with left hooks and Crawford won the fight knocking down Gamboa three times and exposing him, and giving Gamboa his first lost.
5706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about KickEx? on: October 17, 2019, 12:22:12 PM
Never heard of this exchange platform before. But if you are looking for a successful platform, you just don't look at the number of registered accounts. You also have to see how liquid that exchange is. Obviously with referral or affiliate programs being offered, many are going to try their best to sign up as many as they can.

But liquidity is different though, are there any real trading going on? What are the trading pairs? How many? What about fake volumes and wash trading?
5707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How about STO token? on: October 17, 2019, 12:01:08 PM
I guess I have to agree though, STO is also dead like ICO. In 2018 there was so much hype about STO and touted to be the next investment vehicle, sadly though, it is not the case so it did see the same faith as most of the ICO that time.

With that said, I won't even go near that STO token though, unless you really wanted to loss your money in a worthless investments. Everyone here should be mature enough and not ask for advises, just simply do your own research (DYOR) and see how it goes.
5708  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Bitcoin: Bearish Mood Strongest Since February" on: October 17, 2019, 11:38:02 AM
Isn't it that there are people people that even predicts that bitcoin will hit that level or below? So I'm not surprised by this news because we have members here who have predicted it as well.

I would agree that we don't want the price to go that low, after hitting $13k in June and now we are in the position that the price will significantly go as low as $6k-$7k. But we can't really stop that happening, but I believed that it could be a normal flow and let's look at the bright side and take the opportunity to accumulate again.

5710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and kiddie porn on: October 17, 2019, 10:49:52 AM

You give people privacy, they use it.
And then they are getting caught by the authorities one by one. And then we have fiat being used by cyber criminals as well. So it's going to cyclical, but I wouldn't call it a flaw, in the first place it was not design by Satoshi to be exploited as such.

I guess this is just part and parcel of bitcoin, others might find in very useful as mode of payment, store of value and investments assets. But on the other hands, bad actors had bad intent. But we can't really blame it to bitcoin, blame the system that we have.
5711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm a Big Fan of Bitcoin, Libra's Chief David Marcus Says on: October 16, 2019, 02:08:52 PM
I wouldn't say its damage control, damage has been done and it is beyond repair, most of it's big partners opt to drop out from doing business with them meaning some internal rift has been happening before their released. And this kind of statement won't affect them positively in any form.

Perhaps this is David Marcus, personally opinion and should not be reflective of Libra. It's going to be a uphill battle for them so let's see how they are going to face this backlash.
5712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NWC and SGC about to get listed on Dcoin exchange on: October 16, 2019, 01:21:35 PM
Thank you all for your advice, for NWC I saw an announcement and I read it, it looked interesting that is why i asked what are you thoughts. Same for SGC.
I guess the consensus is that they are not good coins to invest with specially if the people behind those projects wanted to list it on a shitty exchange. Indication that they might not be serious about listing them on top exchanges or at least a mid tier exchanges.

So just be careful though, you might swim on a water that you can't get out. So stay away and DYOR on our coins that has potential, best of luck in your decision.
5713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: VinDAX is number 1 exchange on coinmarketcap on: October 16, 2019, 12:25:05 PM
I began to suspect when Vindax suddenly was in position 1 on the exchangers with the most volume. I have guessed that it was only temporary, even now the exchanger is back in position # 36, and currently position 1 is filled by P2PB2B. well, however, it's quite strange if they get 1st place without doing events, or anything.

Did you know that there is a scam accusations against P2PB2B?

BEWARE OF SUPER SCAM: P2PB2B claim to be worlds biggest exchange !.

So no doubt in my mind that those two exchanges, Vindax and P2PB2B are 100% doing fake volumes so do not try to be lured by this fraudulent practices by this exchanges.
Lol, and what do you know? Those two exchanges has been getting a lot of attentions lately as they occupy the top 1 and 2 spots in the last week or so.

But then again, this sort of investigations and accusations pops up and telling us that shady people are behind so obviously same shady tactics have been implement to push their ranking on the top spot, but the prying eyes of this community is more intelligent than those people behind and they are exposed big time.
5714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Institutional Investors suffer from FOMO? Huge inflow in Q3 :o on: October 16, 2019, 11:34:19 AM
I will just repeat what I have been saying about institutional investors, they have been in the market ever since, perhaps we really didn't notice it because we are in a bull run in 2017. But it's pretty obvious that they have been inside longer than anyone think of.

And this report reinforcement my belief, that this phenomena although not that evident because they maybe fronting some hedge fund company to buy for them, but they are definitely in the crypto scene as early as 2015-2016.
5715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is never going to be extinct on: October 16, 2019, 10:06:52 AM
We really don't know what the future holds, there might be one coin in the future that will challenge bitcoin's dominant or bitcoin will remain as the most recognisable and it is being used by the masses. Technically it's not going to be extinct, as we haven't reach the 21 million supply.

But for the sake or argument, we have seen some competition coming from ETH (Flippening) and XRP (Rippening) but it was not that successful.
5716  Economy / Economics / Re: WHICH GROUP DO YOU BELONG HERE on: October 16, 2019, 08:30:30 AM
You can't really tell that a bull or a bear will stay on that group forever. Because this is one way to lose money here. Wise speculators knows how to adjust their trading strategy, of course we all wanted to be bulls here, but remember that the price won't go on a parabolic rise. At certain point the bubble that forms are going to be burst.

BULL'S GROUP - always putting money into the market and does not take out often, more like long term investor.

BEAR'S GROUP - always taking money out of the market often, more like only interested in making money in a short while, i mean short term investors.
So I will tell that I'm not neither, I just react to the market situations and what it can bring to me to make money in either bulls/bears scenario.
5717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: October 15, 2019, 11:36:32 PM
Another one? We are looking at another Ricky Hatton if this will ever happpen. Even if I don't know this boxer, if you will all be referring him as a kid, then I can certainly say he is the next Hatton Manny Pacquiao fought. We are looking at 2-4 rounds at maximum though I will never expect this fight to happen.

If you are referring to Mikey Garcia vs Manny Pacquiao then i don't think that it would end just like the Ricky Hatton fight. MAnny is aging and is abandoning his recklessness which make him fun to watch so if he fight Garcia i doubt if it will end via KO. This fight with Garcia is very feasible to me and good for Manny's career.

We never know Manny still has the power and the speed I just watched this video and it's very popular now on Youtube it's an analysis How Did Pacquiao Systematically Dismantle Thurman? | Fight Analysis | Pacquiao vs Thurman, you will appreciate how many turn out to be as a great boxer in our era probably one of the best video analyzing Pacquiao's fighting style and strategy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD8ode8dy_I
Did you just contradict yourself here? You say we never know if Manny has still power and speed?

And then you posted some youtube you found that shows how good Manny is in dismantling Thurman?

A fighter is good as his last fight, and based on Manny's last performance against Thurman, obviously he still has the power, (knocking Thurman in the first round, and then hitting him with body punches that hurt Thurman in the mids to late rounds). Maybe he slows down a bit, but it is still quite impressive as compare to the bunch of welterweights today.
5718  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UNICEF Will not Convert Bitcoin Donations to Fiat Currency on: October 15, 2019, 11:02:14 PM
Seems pretty accurate if it comes from unicef itself. And I love it too. This is real adoption, not some stupid Bitpay adoption like most other people did (not that it's a bad thing either but you know!). This way they can truly publish transparent and fully accountable records of donations too! OF course, eventually it will be sold by whoever receives it for research but that's amazing!
I think the OP is asking how accurate that statement from merkle saying that crypto are not going to be converted to fiat. So far I haven't found any statement from UNICEF, it just states that they are going to accept crypto as donations.

But I would tend to agree that it's good to hear that such big organisations such as UNICEF started to accept crypto, maybe who knows, NGO's or other world governing organisations would start to accept crypto as well because of this precedent.
5719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Years From Now: Bitcoin Overtaking PayPal? on: October 15, 2019, 10:35:55 PM
I don't know what are we achieving though? I guess bitcoin shouldn't be compare to any fiat payment systems out there. It is one of a kind that's why I don't understand when people saying that bitcoin is this or bitcoin will overtake that, etc. etc.

Let's say bitcoin maintained it's position as the dominant coin and see how it goes for being used as payment system in the next ten years. And for the sake of argument, it did overtake Paypal then good, then what?
5720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: October 15, 2019, 02:41:53 PM
^ Weird, I don't know why Ruiz will come in the fight much lighter though,  did he wanted to show his speed here? I doubt that he can do that against Joshua in this second fight. I mean he was "perfect" in the first fight and I doubt that Joshua will change his strategy. Well, he can run in the first few rounds but I'm sure that Andy even at a heavier weight can catch up with him and will have success.
It looks like he wanted speed in the rematch and maybe he thinks that he can be faster if he can lose that extra weight. You can call it a perfect strategy for his in the first fight because Joshua didn't expect that Ruiz can take his punch. But it seems that in the second fight, Ruiz also did some adjustments as well to counter what Joshua will do in this rematch.

For me it will spell the difference here and if Ruiz losses this fight, it's probably because of trying to come up lighter against Joshua.
It's more than that I would say, most of the time the fighter losses if he doesn't have the heart, just like what Joshua shows in the first fight. Once he was knock down in the third round, it seems to be he surrendered already. If Ruiz losses here, I wouldn't say because he was lighter or thinner, but because, maybe because Joshua was more hungrier.
