5721  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 22, 2023, 07:39:38 PM
I prefer gambling from my desktop device and the comfort of my home. I have never been a fan of mobile casinos.
In today's era, I think phones are occupying a bigger share of the market. Everyone has a phone nowadays, and a good phone is more affordable than a good laptop or PC.

It's very interesting, but I have this friend who used to be a gamer growing up. He always had expensive PCs but never used them for anything else except games and the occasional school work. If he is not gaming, that computer is turned off. Everything else he does online is through his phone. I am the exact opposite.
I understand that some desktop games are better graphics and game features compared to the mobile format of the same game, and even the screen resolution of desktop games is different and more comfortable for gaming. But mobile games are more friendly most especially in outdoor games mobile device is easy to carry about and because of that comfort, they attract more users than desktop, and also due to the limited number of PC users due to its complexity and affordability which make a mobile device to become the choice of young gamers so comparing the two-game format could be hard since both have their advantages.
5722  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: As a Nigeria stop selling yourself short on: January 22, 2023, 06:56:56 PM
It is very sad how we Nigerians denigrate our country when a person from another country tries to praise am for roads and infrastructure. We d try as much not to go with that person's rating of wetin em rate our country. Rather we go choose to paint our country bad for that peso eyes immediately.

We all na Nigeria, Nigeria is us. Make we try to the project our country as the best no matter where we d so than to d vomit something bad about our country when we dey outside. Em get why you

You talk well, oyah see this Forum now as example. When it comes to quality contributions you dey see say Nigerians are among the top users and that's why we're heavily been merited and easily get accepted into campaign. Visit Bitcoin discussion board and you see our brothers over there doing the best they can, in giving Nigerian the best image to the extent e dey pepper some people. Niggas are hustling day in day out just to put bread on the table at the same time trying to get some knowledge about this new heaven (Bitcoin) saving many life.

I see no reason why you go dey bad belle wetin mehn dey try put in place. Always spread good things about the country. I know say na bad news dey sell pass but be different, it does pay off. Everybody get their own struggle no be our own bad pass so make we dey go easy on the country. One day we go celebrate good governance as others dey celebrate and then we go come realize the beauti I'd this country called Nigeria.
The mata tires me, the only thing some Nigerians see about this great country is the bad side of the coin, I too love this country to the point that, any time am discussing with some people they believe I have linked to the government simply because of the way I take my time to analyze every government steps and policy with a positive mindset on how the policy could be beneficial to the citizens.
Even though others may be criticizing the policy I will try to make them understand the importance of such government policy. This country is a great country and I am proud to be a Nigerian anytime any where supporting the government in the best possible way to make the country become the better country I dream of,  make we dey try to promote our own because another person no ggoesdo ammm for us.
5723  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 22, 2023, 05:59:22 PM
What ratio of market movement have been met to declare a Bitcoin bull market, since the last bitcoin price direction cycle witnessed last is ba ear market which has consistently persisted over a period of 3-6 months in a row to make a complete an official Bitcoin bear market. What I can see in all this is just inpatient from bitcoin price, speculators who are just too quick to declare a market state so seeing that bitcoin touched $23,000 in the present time doesn't really mean much as long as the price has not persisted on an uptrend direction for a period of 3 -6 months to complete a full cycle.
What I will say about all this is that we should be more holistic in our analyzes and we should be ready to give some time before making any Bitcoin market predictions.
5724  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Fuel Scarcity Discussion: NNPC sells petrol for N148; private depots, N215+ on: January 21, 2023, 08:14:50 PM
And the scarcity of fuel go increase more than like this. The marketers are purposely making fuel to be scarce.

Yes I think this particular one the government no follow but na the marketers themselves dey run am.

The thing is, oil marketers have been the problem of Nigeria's upstream petroleum sector, ever since its inception, the government is just a victim just like the citizens who suffered from various impacts of this unlawful practice of oil marketers just for their corrupt intentions as their aided by government officials who cooperate with the marketers to steal from government fuel subsidy is their tools to take from government and price increase is their means of robbing citizens and to achieve that.
The oil marketers create artificial fuel scarcity to force the citizen's into buying at high price due to availability of the product.
5725  Economy / Gambling / Re: How best to report vulnerabilities? on: January 21, 2023, 07:57:06 PM
I think that they will just fix the bug without any payouts. Or it would be an opportunity to ban winners for bug using. If the OP told what the bug he had find the best way is to fix dialog with support screenshot to have some proves if they fix it. Anyway you can`t get some bounty here, and i even can`t say that casino is cheating if they will fix bug. But it can`t increase my interest to this casino.
I was about to point ops in that direction also, the bug should be reported to support ASAP and if supported with the necessary evidence in a pictural manner it will help the support agent to accept and processe your request.  The casino team may have reacted that way because of the fact that at the moment the team is not paying anyone for bug discovery bit in other to protect everyone from this mess, you should continue your contact with them and provide evidence as mentioned,

enjoy being poor then.
Does anyone enjoy being poor I doubt that, but am sure of a lot of others who are afraid of taking a risk at least not everyone has the ball to take that risk.  But from the look of things, you sound skilful in this and if you have predicted a few matches accurately as you stated then I am sure you are going to have a big bounty reward at the end of the next fight and what I can say is that.
Trade with caution and enjoy your time while making good profits as returns on your bets.

5728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 21, 2023, 02:19:35 PM
I think that now is the time to buy bitcoin

Not only now, but you can buy bitcoin whenever you want, bitcoin is a long term investment, and as long as you can keep it long-term, you can buy it when you feel comfortable and fit the situation. But now can be said to be the perfect time to buy bitcoin as the price is falling sharply, if buying bitcoin now is a great opportunity to make a big profit.
Bitcoin can be purchased at whatever time so long the investor is not under pressure and does take personal warrants you taking personal loans to do that.
Ops is still very much in line with the general concept of diversification since he had two bikes and he wants to sell one to fix the money in Bitcoin for future gains so to me this is a welcome development for ops and I will congratulate him for taking the right decision and shortly his investment will yield good profits if he can hold for long term.
5729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's freedom is Absolute! on: January 20, 2023, 11:04:50 PM
My point is, no one should detect for anyone how to enjoy the freedom. You can only advice or teach, stop seeing people using exchanges or doing kyc as anti bitcoin.

Exchange is a cardinal point to bitcoin adoption and usage in fact exchange is a primary factor that contribute to bitcoin scalability if truly we want to see bitcoin mainstream adoption then the exchange is the vehicle to achieving that.
Why some feel exchange are anti-Bitcoin and road lock to bitcoin success is because of the number of bad factors that are emanating from exchange operations such as hack and exit scams perpetrated by exchange owners which in turn give bitcoin a public bad image. But bitcoin users are now becoming well informed as to how to relate with exchange cautiously by not storing their large funds on the exchange because it is better to have your Bitcoin held in a private wallet that only you know the keys to that wallet.
5730  Economy / Gambling / Re: Metaspins.com - Crypto casino - 100% Up To 1 Bitcoin On Your First Deposit on: January 20, 2023, 10:30:29 PM

Every vote counts and we appreciate you taking the time to do that! Smiley

We are very happy to keep activities going on the forum.  We enjoy the community and appreciate how positive is for us being here for such a short time only.

It might not always be the signature campaign but we will always try to do something fun and exciting. Keep your eyes peeled for what's to come.

Good luck to metaspin and all the other nominated casinos, I just voted in the categories that metaspin appeared on the poll. Hoping to see that the vote count in favour of metaspin and it awesome to see that not many casinos that are popular on bitcointalk appeared on the poll unless for metaspin and Gardom which are familiar to us here in the forum.
Indeed metaspin has shown some level of consistency in building and developing their casino to match up to other top casinos in the market, and hopefully, in the next few years ahead, metaspin will become a household name here in the forum.
5731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 20, 2023, 09:50:36 PM
That's a huge loss and for sure from that amount the gambler is a rich person, like what you mentioned if he already has experienced losing in that same winning chance/rate he can go and move forward. We don't really know what is inside his mind after losing that unfortunate event. Maybe he will try back and see if luck will permit him to recover or he will learn his mistake and will quit away from these activities.
One point I did not get clear with ops situation is the way the 1.4 millions total lost was accumulated because from the look of thing, ops could not have place bet with the total amount mentioned in the ops.
It could be a total accumulated loses within a long period of time bit definitely if it the other way around then the gambler must be a whale and a big bag holder to have wagered such a huge amount in one bet, and am sure if that is the story then ops must have made a lot of winning previously to have developed the motivation to stake such big amount at once.
5732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is FTX going for a reopen? on: January 20, 2023, 04:58:54 PM
GM crypto fam.

As I was doing my usual Friday market check-in, I came across an unbelievable story about a new FTX CEO wanting to reopen FTX, and FTT token surged 30% on the news.

I'm really curious to hear your opinion about this. Is there something I'm missing? Why would anyone be willing to go back to FTX after what it did to the industry?

Sources:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-01-19/ftx-token-jumps-after-new-ceo-says-exchange-could-restart

https://app.getresponse.com/view.html?x=a62b&m=BVDWtR&mc=9Q&s=BtgXWnG&u=QcLhh&z=ECFYM10&
If you have been following up with recent development and events surrounding the FTX crisis, you will know that a huge amount of FTX funds stolen from the exchange to personal wallet have been recovered.  So everything is set to begin again for FTX to launch their operations, but then the big question now will be.   How and when do investors who lost money during this FTX bankruptcy get their balance back in on their account with the exchange?
The new development is big positive news in the cryptocurrency space and quite a good number of coins are already showing a positive attitude which results in a few percentage of increase in their price.
5733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had known on: January 19, 2023, 09:46:49 PM

No one can steal your bitcoin.

Who told you no one can steal your bitcoin? I don't know if this is a grammatic error but what you just wrote above is not true. Guard your bitcoin as if you're gaurding your life or a king. Write your seed phrase or private pin on a piece of paper and keep it safe and never store it electronically.
Bitcoin is easy to be stolen through a number of ways but popular among them is hack, we have hard of exchanges and other platform or wallets holding large amount of bitcoin being hacked and coins stolen from them.
And secondly you an lose your coins if you are careless enough to expose your security keys and passwords to scammers who will at the end gain access to your wallet and make away with coins from them, so in conclusion,  bitcoin is consensus between users and the computing transaction bass on cryptography.
5734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 19, 2023, 08:51:01 PM
Not many people expected the sudden rise in the price of bitcoin in the early part of 2023 as speculation i have online and also in the forum have started the bull is not going to be coming anytime soon. But the price of bitcoin surprisingly reached 21k on Saturday and many short time holders saw this as a wonderful opportunity to sell off some of their coins and wait for the price to go low again before buying.

So are we to expect any sudden drop down to 16k again on the price of bitcoin this year or we will going through with this current 20k to 21k mark.?
Of a truth, no one can predict the direction the market will take next and as you have said many short term holders short their short in the last few days to cash in on the bitcoin price flow of last week. But at the moment bitcoin price is relying around 20700 which for now is a good price most especially to those that entered the market when the price was at a discount low of 16k some few weeks back.
5735  Economy / Gambling / Re: Get $10 For play Casino (Only for USA No KYC needed) on: January 19, 2023, 08:23:35 PM
Too bad it's only for those who live in USA. If it's not then I would have tried the site and see if there's an issue or bugs that we can find. Anyway, Is it really NO KYC?. If it is then why only accept players or gamblers from USA only?. As what can I say about your casino even though I can't check since you didn't provide the link of the casino is that I think your casino doesn't have license because only casinos that have a license will require KYC.
Ops did not provide any link to the casino and he just mention a $10 bonus over the telegram group which is not too cool with many of us here, if ops is an affiliate then this is going to be a wasteful effort because no one will pay attention to his affiliate link. But then ops should tryas much as possible to furnish the thread with the necessary information to avoid all the misconceptions going on in this thread. And again we can say for sure if this casino allows the use of VPN from none US playerplayersf that is possible then ops can mention that to us but it is not advisable to use vpn to access restricted casinocasinosys but since ops said the casino is a none kyc compliance you may not have a problem using VPN.
5736  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New CBN National Domestic Card discussion Thread on: January 18, 2023, 09:19:59 PM
Now boiled down to CBN trying to issue us a new card, from their point i don't even find any tangible meaning that would make them to change card., Talking of frauds of, will the changing of card reduced?
What measures have they taken about those loots we have been hearing,

May I ask, what's the usefulness of the international cards when we can't even use them for international affairs, like we just dey patronized them and they give dem cashout when no use of them for Nigerian outside of Nigeria shores abi you no no say Visa oh, mater card etc dem dey benefit from we constantly using them for transactions. E better we use indigenous own make the money dey remain for Nigeria.

@CryptopreneurBrainboss you made a good point and you hit the point I was waiting to read from members here in the local board, the domestication of payment system will allow for inclusiveness of the financial sector, as we know the problem with our current financial systems is over dependence on international firm this over dependence have leaf to a lot of weaknesses that hackers are now taking advantage of to access Nigerians account from any where in the word, e.g MasterCard scam that is popular among yahoo boiz in Nigeria.
The new central bank monetary policy will change a lot of things in our financial sector let Nigerians not focus only on a few segment of the policy but to try to read through the entire white paper of the new monetary policy and like I side before, this policy is not a new policy but is something that have began since 2012 but the current CBN governor is serious at implementing it which to me is a good idea, that need every possible support from Nigerains if truly we want to have a good economy that will meet up with the current International standard.  I perceive a good price control in Nigeria micro economy pretty soon and what make this policy make more sense is the fact that, the policy is being implemented now that the election is around the corner so the next phase for Nigeria after the general election will be that of financial stability and economic viability.

Oboy see one tin I will sae Nigeria no get focus. At first dem saw dwm wan use the national Id card for the national debit and credit card, now dat agenda is bygone. According to people wey don get the permanent NIN card said, the main nin no wey dem dey grigbai e no dey for pnc. Everything just dey jig jag. Indris come nd sing ur song. Jaga jaga. In a normal circumstance the registration of the nin supposed be free but because of the corrupt nature dem dey collect money.
We'll make we dey see how dis olwan sef go be. CBN nai dey control di decision making in banking platform in Nigeria and di president of the national is behind every action taken by di CBN president of time.
Agbe, I been want make this thread self moderated so that I can delete off topic replies to avoid non substantial comments that doesn't add anything to the discussion, comments that are basically full with blame game of previous financial policy somersaults.
What I want to see on this thread is printable information as related to the new CBN domestic card and all other information and enlightenment on the various aspects of the new CBN monetary policy implementation and how to build our knowledge around them.
Baba I don tire to dey read all the bad things about our 9ja for here, so now make we dey discuss and analyze with provable datass and not just speculations.

God bless🇳🇬 Nigeria
5737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 18, 2023, 07:38:43 PM
All eyes on United tonight right ? Or should I say on Palace? Because Palace will play their chance today in order to get points and I'm not expecting United to have an easy game at all , plus , they have home pitch advantage that can count a lot.

As predictions , I think Palace might score first goal  Cool
But things like this are still very difficult it seems. Crystal's last 5 matches have only been marked by 4 defeats there and obviously, it will also be very difficult for them to get points especially Manchester United can be said to be in a state of high spirits right now after they have not lost in their last 7 matches in all competitions.
Even though they are playing at home, they are still in difficult conditions.
Manchester United is in a better structure and fit for the game tonight and if you have being following up with Manchester United previous matches you will discover that the club have really broken a lot of records both in the premier league and the champions league this season. I agree that crystal palace is also performing incredibly well this season but their performance can not be compared to that of Manchester united this season.  So if I may place some bets I will go for Manchester united straight winning.

Welcome to bitcointalk it's good to see that you already
started on a good note by hiringthe right manager to promote your presence here in the forum, I will try out the casino in the next coming week before I post my personal review on Jackbit in few weeks to come.
We are glad you get your winning!

It is just a policy that sometimes is needed to verify the user. We recommend first, checking the General Terms of the casino to avoid inconvenience
Good to see that the issue is being resolved and also
pointing ops to the T&C of the casino for better understanding of the the casino rules and procedures.
I guess some players always failed to check through the terms and conditions of most casinos and when their run into any issue the tend to raise unnecessary alarms.

Dude? How am I raising "unnecessary" alarms for just stating the obvious? I have read more T&C than you ever will so cut the BS.
I'm just trying to help the community with sharing my experience so that it raises awareness.

I bet you don't know the feeling when these operators sitting on your hard earned money and don't reply when you reach out.

Really, then state the obvious and back it up with evidence, That is not too much to ask for, just for my enlightenment
since you have read a lot of T&C and assumed I have not read up to your level.
I was just trying to get more clarifications and urging you to do a little bit of search and a read-through of the platform rule and regulations to discover what to do to get your issues resolved and if you feel you did not violate any rule, then you can put up a case against the casino and everyone will help you get justice.

5740  Economy / Economics / Re: Brace yourselves, CBDCs one Step Closer on: January 17, 2023, 06:26:28 PM
According to Alkesh Shah, "CBDCs do not change the definition of money, but will likely change how and when value is transferred over the next 15 years."

If CBDC can present to this extent then i believe bitcoin can do more better since it can achieve this far within 14 years, i don't believe in much of the theories from this government officials, if they don't defend the government who else will they.

central banks and commercial banks are doing this because the main payment rail is actually VISA for most accounts. their tap and pay means visa get rich for processing payments. and banks want to get away from the visa debit system and be more direct commercial bank<->customer without a visa middleman
I quite agree with you on this franky1 that central banks are looking for ways to disconnect from the interconnected fee processing for a visas, master cards and the rest of the other payment processors.
CBDCs will offer the banks such facilities but the point to note is that most CBDCs are not blockchain based so at that there is no difference between CBDCs and vs fiat system, the central bank in my country Nigeria is currently developing a national domestic card that will migrate the citizens from visa and other cards processors. But that is after the CBDC e-naira failed to meet up with that role of providing an alternative to cryptocurrency.
