I'm new and not very well informed so I want to know how a service like blockchain.info gathers its information? where does it get the data from of all the transactions? A node? if so does that mean anyone running a full node can monitor the whole blockchain via their local machine? How would you do this? Is there anyway I can monitor the blockchain that means all transactions without using a third party site like blockchain.info or any other block explorer?
1. Yes, it gathers it by running a node. 2. Yes, anyone running a full node can monitor it with software that understands the protocol. 3. Yes, run a full node and then use software to monitor the parts you wish to monitor. In short, you can run a full node and then write your own or use open source block explorer type software. If you are looking for something out of the box, requiring no technical knowledge, that probably isn't out there right now. You can find an opensource block explorer called Abe. I there is guides out there. You can use it and create a better one. Theread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=22785.0Github : https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abe ~~MZ~~

You're right. The quality of the posts is irrelevant. You could make one one-word reply and you'd still get the activity points for that period (assuming that one post doesn't get deleted as it is of risk of being).
Correct . Speaking about that (one-word reply) ... wouldn't be nice if the developpers of the new forum software add something to disallow people from posting less then 20 characters ? I guess it will prevent "Spam" a little bit , just a little. IMHO it won't decrease spams. We might see more questions/complaints telling "I should be Jr. Member today according to the message shown on my profile but I am still newbie!!! ", "This forum is buggy. >.< " etc... etc... ~~MZ~~

First download, Armory offline bundle [1] which have all dependencies. Remember, you may need to get updated version as the bundle is for Ubuntu 12.04. Install every dependencies with internet connection [2] if there is error when installing offline excpet Armory. When installing Armory, don't connect internet. All the files are .deb files, so if you double click the file, you can install the files using Software center. If libconfig-file-perl is missing, download it [3] and install it like other files. Don't forget to download the github repo. More doubts? Post here! [1] https://bitcoinarmory.com/download[2] I don't recommend installing while the connection is active. Its better if you can download the latest .deb file of dependencies. You can download files from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty . [3] https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/i386/libconfig-file-perl/1.50-2 ~~MZ~~

BTC address: 134wtUKt11PCDVoQwhVbSnzCR9UQ5oGppVI will buy the BTC to pay you back. (you only have the counterparty risk of dealing with me, but no risk if my investment goes belly up, because IŽll buy the BTC anyway) If youŽve got any questions, lmk. What do you mean by "you only have the counterparty risk of dealing with me" ? ~~MZ~~

Sorry for off-topic question but could you please explain this statement? Why would someone get negative feedback for doing this?
No problem but you could have send a PM! Some users ask for loan and repay very fastly. Most of the such users don't want a loan, they do it to increase reputation. If they repay fastly, they may get positive trust feedback from the lender, if it is higher amount, from others too. Users asking for a reputation loan are likely going to scam others after they build a good trust. So, to prevent that, users may put a negative and/or neutral feedback. I hope you understand! If you have doubt, you can post here or PM me(recommended) or you can start a thread for wider answers. Shhh...!!! You are right! I was too ridiclous at that time! Aout that request, I don't what you understand from that lines, what I asked was I will repay 30% of the payout each time I get. Just wanted to tell you! ~~MZ~~

That parameter work well . are you trying to say that they are ... ? As tspacepilot said above, you have to click the submit button for it to work. I've also gotten confused by this in the past. However, I just checked my stats and all is working fine.
I meant parameter uid=320943. So, if we bookmark the link, we can see the details just by going to the link. This parameter was working earlier but after recent changes, it stopped working! Example: https://bitmixer.io/signature.html?uid=320943 ~~MZ~~

Is asking for interest against your religion? If so then you could say that tips are "strongly encouraged" or something similar. That would make it so borrowers are not forced to pay (so it won't be interest) however it will likely result in you receiving money to compensate you
Yes, it is! No problem! I like to give loans without interest because it will help the users too. Its not a big work for me. I am storing the funds for HODLing, so giving other and getting it back doesn't make any difference. So I don't want to change anything. If I do something like you said, people may give me but for some reasons, I don't want to do that! It is related to psychology but you may not agree to my reasons. The way everyone look a thing is different, so how m YOU look will also be different. So better not to post. Please don't post about this here except if it is something urgent but feel free to PM me whenever you need any help or want to tell me something! ~~MZ~~

I don't visit the front page of this thread anymore after the ad went up.
@bitcoininformation/mitcheɬɬ: now that you are staff, are you being paid by bitcointalk.org?
Its just a small ad which is placed at top and don't disturb anything. He should get some BTC for his work, IMHO and I think, lot of other users agree to this! I don't know whether local mods be paid but as patrollers are being paid, they may also earn some. No! Staff can also change their name but the username still remain same. Huh? Good point that bitcoininformation is now staff and that must be why he can change names. But what does it mean that his username remains the same? probably login name. Yes! For example, you login with tspacepilot and this is your username(unless you changed this as changing name was possible earlier). You became a staff and changed the name to John but your username still will be tspacepilot and you can obly login with that name. I hope you understand! Bit-x are going to rise the payments for Full Members , make sure to edit it once they do mate Competitions are tightening! Many of them are waiting for PD and some of them has changed the sig too. Better join these campaigns than waiting for something which is unsure. ~~MZ~~

Wow, no interest and no collateral. This is a very interesting concept. I don't think this will likely end well for you as you have nothing to mitigate your risk for lending (you should at least ask for tips when borrowers repay)
Making tips a must is somewhat considered as "interest". Thanks for the suggestion! ~~MZ~~

You have got the loan! Now, change the subject and close the thread after you repay! Please don't go for positive trust! ~~MZ~~
