5761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: May 08, 2021, 12:55:53 PM
One billion dollars that's a lot of money anywhere in the world!

Am sure if his a crypto user his going to buy himself a lambo from his winning to fulfill the crypto dream not American dream....

There's a story that I've heard that there are some casinos that do this. Those gamblers who win a lot are wise to convert their money into bitcoin and later on sell it just to convert it back to cash without any tax. I just heard it somewhere and maybe that's really happening in real life.

In most cases, it is due to complexities with tax liability and overall legality of gambling. In countries such as India, all forms of gambling is banned. So a lot of people travel to countries such as Macau and Singapore to visit casinos. But if they win big amounts of money, they can't bring it back to India in the form of cash, since gambling itself is banned there. So in many cases, the gamblers convert their reward to BTC and then transfer it anonymously.
With all the emotions that go into gambling, I would do the same to avoid sharing my hard earned money !
5762  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-05-08] Bitcoin’s dirty little secret: It’s not easy being green on: May 08, 2021, 07:03:32 AM
Depending on who you ask bitcoin, the digital currency at the heart of the crypto craze is either a currency or a commodity, a speculative bubble or a safe tool for storing and building wealth.

One thing everyone agrees on is that it has become a staggering consumer of energy and producer of climate wrecking carbon dioxide. Debate between its champions and detractors grows with its price and value, intensified by accelerating global efforts to tackle climate change.

Bitcoin supporters must now grapple with the reality that built into the cryptocurrency’s design is a seemingly endless demand for energy in the form of computing power.

5763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 08, 2021, 06:40:46 AM

I see for Chelsea and West Ham chances are very high to be in CL. Tottenham, Leicester and Liverpool makes no hope at all. Maybe Liverpool can with their next 5 matches in a row? It hurts to know that your team will not have a chance in CL. The defending champions had struggled so much this year.
Nobody is going to win all remaining matches as we get closer to the finish line because everyone is fighting for extra points, tbh I see more draws than wins for most of our remaining games .

The odds payout for Tottenham Hotspur to win the match in full time against Leeds United is @2.00, since Leeds United have already secured their survival in the English Premier League this season, I guess their desire to win this match today might be lesser as compared to Tottenham Hotspur. As there is still a chance for Tottenham Hotspur to get into the top 4 spot on the table, I think the chances of Tottenham Hotspur emerging as the winner of the match today is quite high.
Smalll teams make their name when they beat the so called big teams, and I see their desire to do so and these are more than capable to do so.

Totteham vs Leeds possible upset!
5764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 08, 2021, 06:28:38 AM
Bnb hitting $1K is actually possible in 2021 should eth network misbehave it will lose market to it.

Binance Coin has been on the rise ever since ETH's network congestion
And it will continue to rise because you don't get inconvenienced with ever changing fees and by they way BNB has periodic token burns which means price will always likely go up in value than coins like eth.

5765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 07, 2021, 09:18:02 PM
Closing in on 80minutes really fast and Leicester city are down 3 goals against Newcastle with them haven't been able to score a single goal, this is may affect them, in the chase for champions league
Honestly with what they brought today, i hope they are left out of the top four

because next game Chelsea wins they go above them and btw next game Chelsea plays  against  Manchester City  Tongue tough game it will be.

Mathematically speaking at this point , Liverpool and Weshtham have a chance to displace one of the teams in the top four should they not drop points and this will be easy to do because there is so much inconsistency at the top.
5766  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does the market need your money for liquidity gap/shift? on: May 07, 2021, 07:58:02 PM
Without a doubt the markets does need our money as We fall in the bracket of retail traders, and like you said liquidity traps exist because this is were you find most retail traders placing stops and pending orders and price always mitigates around these areas to close those losing trades in profit or to break even and most importantly get liquidity so these market makers know we are there.

5767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 07, 2021, 07:30:44 PM
The match between Manchester City - Chelsea tomorrow might be a warm-up before fighting in the UCL final
That's exactly what was running in my mind, can this be a warm up match, can lightening strike twice by guaranteeing the winner of this match to win in the upcoming UEFA finals.

Tbh I think it can,and we all know which time has the edge over the other with the quality of players they have... but I will not spoil the mood let's wait and watch, good luck to everyone planning on putting some money on either of the matches.

5769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing Urge or Trading Surge on: May 07, 2021, 05:01:13 PM
I have seen and read about people selling their houses all in an effort to have enough money to buy crypto and if am to answer OPs question with this example, this has to be an investing urge though there isn't much of a difference with having a trading urge.

you will need to diversify but at a smaller ratio. just ten percent of your portfolio should be your diversification. thats the pattern i use. you dont need to hold much token but you need to buy a little of any potential coke you hold.
Putting risk into the picture, this is a nice strategy!
5770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: May 07, 2021, 04:21:57 PM
As long as transaction fees don't hurt our pockets I will keep using bitcoin even when it hits a million dollars.

But should fees be crazy high, I might just be forced to stick to altcoins which I expect to also ride bitcoins wave to see some price gains.

Most likely, when many people become millionaires at once, there will be a financial crisis.
If we have 21 million bitcoins in total minus a few lost or locked up in some wallet, and possibly 50% of its users hold more than 1 bitcoin for arguments sake we should be looking at less than 6 million users to become millionares.

Their basketball governing body should be probed to find out why this is happening right under their nose, if it will go as far as making the teams or players involved pay a fine that will be an assuring move to discourage the same match fixing conduct from happening again.

Hope this does not take investigations to go on forever.
5772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 07, 2021, 11:00:03 AM
Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds
This sounds like a trading community, keep nagging them to try crypto,  you will be a local hero for introducing them to this new asset called crypto as they will likely see better profits than stocks and bonds.

Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.
As good of an investment crypto may sound don't ignore the risk involved, do your due diligence!

It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?
I like to think crypto is is more likely to be used by millenials with a few middle aged people how probably are tech savvy.

5775  Economy / Speculation / Re: CoinDesk editor believes Bitcoin will hit 1 million per coin. on: May 06, 2021, 10:32:52 PM
You don't need rocket science to figure this out.

Simple laws of supply and demand should give us the picture of demand pushing price up which is made possible by the fixed number of bitcoins to ever exist. Though I don't think bitcoin is hitting a million dollars any time soon.
5776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 06, 2021, 09:54:21 PM
Roma are still fighting for getting a win at least and they are 3-2 ahead now in the last minutes. At least they tried but it was really near impossible thing to make a comeback for Roma.  Grin  I appreciate their effort in this match.
Playing from their home ground, Roma was suppose to win  the game for them to leave the competition with some dignity after a 5-2 demolition at old trafford which they did, but it was going to be a close one had they scored in the first half to put United under pressure...but unfortunately too little to late that didn't happen !!

Arsenal keeps failing when they need to win.
Now I get why the internet is trolling them every time  Cheesy JK.
I thought arsenal had found some form lately but things keep going the wrong way for these guys, I wonder were the problem is, is it the players or players trying to get the coach fired?
5777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 06, 2021, 07:33:59 PM
Nearly kick off time, will it be another all English final? We have Man City vs Chelsea in the CL, will it be Man Utd vs Arsenal in the EL too?

For the finals we know we are going to see Manchester United because Roma conceded way too many goals to comeback, and as for Arsenal I don't see them making the cut but it would be nice to have an all English final for both the Europa league and champions league.

With 1:0 result Arsenal will go in final but it's risky result to have because they need to attack and they don't have best defense record.
Seems no one is breaking the deadlock with 11 minutes into halftime, it's anybody's game at this point and goal aggregate is at 2-1 in favor of Valencia, how does Arsenal winning 1-0 take them to the finals....?
5778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 06, 2021, 02:13:27 PM
By billionaires do you mean banks or individuals, whichever one of them you pick Yes they can!

In trading this kind of money these guys bring to the table is called institutional money or smart money if you like, and if these guys hijack the market weak hands will lose out because these guys don't play around when it comes to manipulating the market, but the real winners would be the holders Afaik.

If before season somone would have said that Chelsea will play in Champions final this year, I would have called that person dumb.
These are strange times can't believe Chelsea are playing the finals, and they put up a good show!

They looked solid both defensively and upfront, I might think they stand a good chance of winning too if they play the finals like they did just hope they stay composed and focused for the finals.

If before season somone would have said that Chelsea will play in Champions final this year, I would have called that person dumb.
It's still spinning my heard when thinking that Chelsea is one of the finalist. But here we are now. An all English final again. But City are favourite for sure and there are no doubt that they are going to get the title this year too. How could Real Madrid perform so average even after winning against Liverpool and Atalanta?
I actually like the final... It still looks unpredictable.
ManCity - Favorites
Chelsea - Underdogs
It's 50-50 I don't see any favorite nor an underdog here!

It's about who gets lucky on game day, Chelsea was impressive this evening which gives them motivation to beat current English champions
