I didn't expected this rebound back to $4000+ so fast  Shocked

Also, today at work some co-workers came to me asking that i should sell my coins asap because...they saw that article from JPMorgan.

I told them that's bullshit they should buy the dip with a smile on my face.

They where laughing so hard they had tears in there eyes...

Explaining why they where wrong is just talking to a wall...just pointless.

Those faces are priceless when we reach a new ATH again  Cheesy

One of these ATH's I hope not to have co-workers anymore  Roll Eyes
(except my two gifted guys of course - you know who you are!)

I don't know Why but i Just want to make same ATH guess like last time
Rules ....: the one  with the right date of ATH gets .25 btc paid directly  (UTC time)    (closest to ATH.....)
I look to Every page in here from now When a date is picked first iT cannot been taken again ( 1st =1st)
Another .25 btc is rewarded for ho makes best of technical analyse of the time When we strike ATH.... and Why iT happens at that time.....
So This .25 also only to been payed 1 time .... and not 2 times te same explanation.... (1st =1st)

Both answers to win must been inside before 20-09-2017
Goodluck to the ones that like This

UPDATE listmaking                 notice a * is when the person put good enough explanation for other .25 BTC  (person with no * only play ATH or have to put little better )

We just had two weekly red candles (historically significant), confidence has returned to the market after the China news, we're less than 10% away from resistance at 4400 (USD) I give 5 business days to recharge fiat in trading accounts and then new ATH.
5783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2017, 01:33:49 PM
From what I have seen, it seems as though the skyward shots are directly preceded by two or more weekly red candles.  I think it's time to strap in again. HODLn'!

edit: sorry...cant attach an image since I'm on an old tablet with bad memory (both of ours)

Well you are NOT fucking going to get two or more preceding weekly red candles, because currently, under present facts, we only have one preceding red weekly candle and we are in the middle of a second weekly candle that happens to currently be red (and price needs to go above $4250 for this week's currently red candle to transform into green - and we are only about half way into this week's candle)...

Your point about returning up on a kind of rocket (from here), may or may not happen...  I would not be surprised either way, at this point.  It seems a bit unclear at this point whether the bears are exhausted and whether enough FUD has been effectively disseminated in order to cause regular folks to panic dump, after already going through an approximately 25% correction...  as we stand, currently.

You speak as if I WANT 2 weekly red candles and I don't really care so much for the red as I prefer the green.  Also, what if my  chart is set up such that a week started on August 28th?  I am seeing red... More specifically, 2 red weekly candles and if those lead to a rocketing skyward if only by coincidence, I will still celebrate.
 Tongue

You don't select your own week.. we tend to use standards.. .such as bitstamp and bitcoinwisdom...   If you are using some other standard, then you should point that out in order that others understand what you are saying.  right?

If I pull up bitcoinwisdom and select weekly, I see two red candles and one is getting bigger.  What do you see?!

O.k.. at least we are on the same page, then.

One red candle is for last week and the other red candle is for the week that we are currently in.

The weekly candle on that platform closes at midnight sunday Universal Time (UT).

By the way, it would not be accurate to talk about past weekly candles when referring to a current week, even if odds might be pretty decent that this week will turn out red.  Actually the odds of this week's candle remaining red are greater now, then they were when you had made the first post in this thread of discussion.

Thanks, I understand now.  I'm not a trader; I'm a hodler.  I know just enough about a technical chart to be dangerous.

So, we got our (at least) 2 weekly red candles.   Moon in 3...2...1...

5784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: receiving bitcoin, why? on: September 17, 2017, 06:45:06 PM
My blockchain.info wallet and my Coinbase client on my Mac both present the option to "receive" bitcoin. I'm not really seeing why this is an option.  Only the owner of bitcoins, the holder of the private key who can sign has the power to authorize a transaction.  So what's the point of a receive function when only a sender can really invoke a valid transfer.

There must be an obvious reason but, I'm not seeing it.

You sounded so confident!

 Todo list:

1. learn how to transact in Bitcoin
2. get Bitcoin wallet
3. join an exchange

Darn!  I gave away my pants and now I'm about to lose my shirt. Oh well, even if I wanted to panic, my stash is in cold storage 7750km away.

So I spent all day reading the ck pool support thread and I have finally been able to wrap my head around it ^_^

Thank you everyone for your patience and wisdom!

Good luck!  Hope you confirm a block.

Feels like lift off. Everybody hand me your pants. No time to explain...

Bump

All my pants were hanging on the line drying from the news/events of last friday. Am I too late to hand over my pants?
5794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Assistance required interpreting Pool user statistics on: September 10, 2017, 06:36:51 PM
I am just starting to learn mining, I try google and it gives me heap of irrelevant information and a headache unfortunately which is how I ended up here, People seem friendly and very knowledgeable which I hope would be a good resource to help understand this more as I am very interested in expanding my knowledge on the subject.

I am using a GekkoScience2Pac BM 1384 stickminer, I have been directed to use Cgminer and I am using Windows OS.

If you have a GekkoScience stickminer, connectionto a pool that shares block reward is useless.  You  wont make anything.
It's going to take you 162 thousand days to make one bitcoin... or never.  Pool stats are meaninless to you unless you manage to submit a result with "bestshare"  922 billion in which case you have probably solved a block.  This would only benefit you if you were running on a solo pool though... such as ck's solo pool.
5795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Assistance required interpreting technical terms on: September 09, 2017, 06:44:20 AM
The hashrate is calculated based on the difficulty and the number of blocks found in a given period of time so hours, days, months.
Luck is calculated based on the probability of solving a block.  Solving more blocks than the probablistic average translates to greater than 100% luck.  This can also be calculated for hours, days, months... Can't explain more as i have to board my flight.

I saw that same image last night and rushed outside only to see clouds.  I saw the most beautiful display about 11 years ago and I've been waiting to see them again ever since.
Some day if bitcoin continues to cooperate, I'm going to take a trip to Alaska... Or Finland... Maybe both!

Well I was prepared to attend the icygreen show just to get my 10% but I didn't see a reply to my post inquiring about it.
What are you a Bitcoin Busker?

I had considered sharing details of my show/identity but when I interpreted your remarks as belittling,  "The Icygreen show" and "bitcoin Busker" I decided anonymity on this forum was in my best interests.

Sorry, Bitcoin Street Performer it is.

I started to think perhaps it was the money that turned you into a douche but I see from your early posts slagging others isn't a new thing. Congratulations on becoming the first on my ignore list.

Well it's painfully obvious you aren't a Busker but I still would have supported a fellow Canadian and come.to your show.  Thanks for the public flogging.

Great to see a couple Canadians bang it out like this. Such a fiery people.

edit: Fixed.  Sorry!

I've just finished my 3 week show with the "Bitcoin Accepted Here + 10% discount" sign. No transactions unfortunately. Only met 2 other holders and they weren't using it as a payment method but rather trading a portion and holding another. I learned that the majority of the population has heard of bitcoin somehow but have no idea what it is or where to start and probably don't care enough or have the time to research it.
About 1 percent were curious or knew someone with bitcoin and several people took photos of the sign for their teenage sons.

My neighbor became curious about BTC and eventually downloaded a wallet. I agreed to buy some small amount for her but it never happened and I didn't want to push it but rather I gave her some sources to start learning from.
I believe bitcoin is still in the very early adopters stage and I don't see bitcoin becoming a popular method of payment anytime soon and perhaps that will be the last thing it becomes.  On the other hand, credit card "Tap" transactions are becoming wildly popular.

It was great to have so many ATH's during the show backing up my argument and a sweet Labor day discount.

Looks like the train is pulling away again and my recent buys are looking good at bitstamp $4550
